Il n'y a pas de plus grand poète que la douleur

The atmosphere was serene except for the steady tap of the blonde's foot against the expensive floor. With each tap, his impatience grew, waiting for the call to be answered. Finally, the ringing ceased, replaced by a voice on the other end.

"Hello, young master. How may I assist you today?" The voice belonged to a middle aged man, his tone exuding professionalism.

Clearing his throat, the blonde spoke with a calm but assertive tone, "I need your help in hiring the best private investigator available. I've already sent an email outlining the specifics. Money isn't an issue; I want every bit of information they can gather."

The man on the other end nodded in agreement, his voice carrying a sense of understanding, "Of course, sir. I'll see to it right away."

With the call concluded, the blonde felt a sense of relief. He slid his phone back into his pocket and stepped out into the cool morning air. His thoughts weren't solely occupied by the investigation; anticipation bubbled within him as he headed to his car to meet his boyfriend.

As he strolled into Yongsan, he was greeted by his classmates as usual. They waved and exchanged greetings as he made his way through the crowd. Adjusting the strap of his bag, casually slung over one shoulder, he slipped a hand into his pocket, retrieving his phone.

With a flick of his thumb, he unlocked the screen and opened his messages app. His inbox was filled with over 120 messages, a flood of notifications from "My love" and his best friends, all curious about his situation in Busan. He made a mental note to check those later and eagerly delved into his boyfriend's message.

His heart skipped a beat as he tapped on the notification, eager to read from the one person who truly mattered to him.

The blonde's heart crumbled as he scrolled through the flood of messages, each one a painful reminder of the distance that had grown between them. With each word, his chest tightened, his eyes stinging with unshed tears. Despite the ache in his heart, he mustered up the courage to tap on the call button, desperate to hear the younger's sweet voice. Leaning against the wall, he braced himself for the call to connect.

"The number you are trying to reach is not in service. Please verify the number and try again,"

The cold, automated voice echoed through the line, adding to the weight of his disappointment. Realizing the futility of his attempts, he resigned himself to dialing Jisung's number instead. However, just as he was about to do so, his gaze fell upon the unread messages from the same number. A pang of sadness washed over him as he clicked to read, hoping for some comfort amidst the silence.

🗨️ "If, by some chance, you come to hear about Lix, please, don't come searching for him." - Sent at 2:00 PM

With widened eyes, the blonde hastily tapped on Jisung's number.

"The number you are trying to reach is not in service. Please verify the number and try again," the automated response droned on, adding to the weight of his despair.

With a heavy sigh and a sense of grief, the blonde hurried towards the younger's class. The absence of his boyfriend weighed heavily on his heart; it had been over a month since they last shared a proper embrace. His longing for his boyfriend intensified with each step, and he couldn't shake the feeling of emptiness that consumed him.

As he entered the classroom, his hopes of finding him were dashed by the sight of only a few students scattered around. Half of the class was empty. The void in the room mirrored the void in his heart, and he realized that none of his friends were present either. Disheartened, he decided to leave the class and head to the cafeteria.

The cafeteria, usually alive with the buzz of students and the clatter of food, felt eerily quiet. With heavy steps, he approached their usual table, where Chan, Changbin, Seungmin, and Jeongin sat, their pained expressions mirroring the heaviness in his heart. The absence of the three other boys weighed heavily on them all, like a shadow cast over their once happy gathering. With a trembling breath, he managed a weak "hello."

The boys remained motionless, their food untouched as they sat lost in their thoughts. The sudden sound broke the stillness, causing them to startle and turn towards him, their eyes filled with unspoken sadness and a growing resentment towards the cruel twist of fate that had torn their group apart.

With a loud screech and the chair tumbling from the impact, Seungmin abruptly stood up, causing the cafeteria to fall into an uneasy silence. "Hyung, I've lost my appetite. I'll be heading out," Seungmin stated through tightly pressed lips, shooting a glance at his boyfriend. He was on the verge of leaving when Jeongin rose from his seat. "Wait up, Hyung. I'm finished too. Let's go together."

Acknowledging the youngest with a nod, Seungmin turned to go, but the blonde stopped them with a question that cut through the heavy atmosphere. "Are you both heading to class? Where's Lix? I haven't seen him at all."

Halting in his tracks, Seungmin turned back, his jaw clenched in pain. "Since when did it become your fucking business?" he questioned bitterly. "Oh, right! now that your fling got locked up, you suddenly want him back?" The blonde was left speechless, his eyes revealing a glimpse of remorse. While, Changbin intervened gently. "Minnie, it's not worth it. Go back to class."

With a heavy heart and tears welling in his eyes, Seungmin turned to his boyfriend. "No, Hyung," he choked out, "I've tried my best to resist, but I can't bear it any longer. After a month of silence, no calls, nothing, he decides to come back to us as if nothing happened."

The blonde took a hesitant step forward, but before he could speak, Jeongin's voice cut through the heavy atmosphere, halting him in his tracks. "You didn't just hurt us," the younger's voice trembled with sadness, "you broke Felix Hyung beyond repair. You know how sensitive he is, how much he trusted and loved you. How could you do that, Hyung?" Each word dripped with grief and disbelief.

With a pained expression etched on his face, the blonde walked closer. "Innie, I-" But before he could utter another word, Chan rose from his seat, approaching his boyfriend and enveloping him in a comforting embrace, gently stroking his head. "It's alright, baby, just breathe," he whispered, his voice laced with pain.

Casting a disappointed gaze towards Hyunjin, Chan spoke softly. "Don't bother looking for him, he left."

With furrowed brows and a heart heavy with dread, the blonde asked again, his words stumbling. "W-what do you mean, Hyung? Where did he go?"

Exhaling a heavy sigh, Chan's voice trembled as he replied, "Hyunjin, he left the school..... along with Lino and Jisung."

The blonde felt as though a crushing weight had descended upon him, his world crumbling around him. His legs shook violently as he staggered backwards, seeking support against the nearby table. Breathing became a struggle, as if the air itself refused to fill his lungs, leaving his chest constricted with unbearable pain. His heart felt like it was being torn apart, agony seeping into every fiber of his being.

Tears shimmered in his eyes, blurring his vision, as he realized his boyfriend had left. His Felix, the center of his world, now gone. How could he go on without his love? The past month had been torture, the only comfort found in stealing glimpses of the younger whenever possible. And now, when he finally had hope of being together, Felix was out of reach.

Collapsing to his knees, he was consumed by heart-wrenching sobs, each one a reflection to his shattered soul. Unable to contain his pain, he clutched at his hair, his cries echoing in the empty space around him. "N-no, he can't leave me alone. I can't bear to live without him, no, no!" His words were choked with grief, his despair overwhelming.

The four guys felt their hearts breaking, witnessing the taller one in such distress. Hyunjin rarely cried, making it even more heartbreaking to see him breaking down. Brushing away their own tears, they moved closer to him.

Unable to bear the pain of seeing their friend in such agony, the youngest among them began to cry, his sobs echoing through the silent cafeteria. Sensing his distress, Chan reached out to comfort him, gently patting his back while turning to Seungmin with a heavy heart. "Min, take him with you," he whispered, his voice choked with sadness "I'll stay with Hyunjin."

With a solemn nod, Seungmin cast one last glance at his devastated best friend before leading Jeongin away, accompanied by a worried Changbin. Each step felt heavier than the last, their hearts weighed down by the evident sadness that hung in the air.

Approaching the blonde, Chan struggled to pull him to his feet. "Hyunjin-ah, come on, let's get you somewhere," he urged gently, his voice cracking with the weight of grief. But the blonde resisted, his body trembling as he shook his head. "No, Hyung, I have to see him. He cried so much, Hyung. I need to be there."

Blinking back his own tears, Chan moved closer and embraced him, his heart aching at the sight of the younger's despair. "Hyunjin-ah, please, calm down. Lix wouldn't want to see you like this. He's gone to his grandma's, and Hannie and Lino are with him," he whispered, his voice filled with despair as he held him tightly. But the blonde continued to shake his head, his cries growing louder and more desperate. "No, Hyung, I have to see him," he insisted, his voice breaking with each word.

The silence hung heavy in the air, broken only by the blonde's agonizing sobs, each one a painful echo of his shattered heart. It was a silence that weighed down on the older, crushing his spirit into a million pieces. With tender pats and whispered words of comfort, Chan tried to console the younger, but the grief seemed endless.

After what felt like an eternity, the tears finally subsided, leaving the blonde drained and hollow. Pulling away from Chan, his eyes were red and swollen, his heart irreparably broken. With each step, he carried the heavy burden of sorrow, his soul weighed down by the unbearable pain.

Rising to his feet with a heavy heart, he spoke, his voice barely audible above a whisper. "Hyung, I'll see you later. I need to talk to everyone. And I know this isn't the right time, but I'm deeply sorry," he murmured, his words choked with grief as he bowed his head and wiped away his tears. With that, he turned to leave, his footsteps heavy with the weight of his shattered dreams. He made his way to his car, the weight of his broken heart bearing down on him like a crushing weight

The echoes of fumbling and rummaging reverberated through the house, leading Mrs. Hwang to her son's room. As she entered, she was met with the sight of her son in distress, hurriedly stuffing clothes into open suitcases. With concern etched on her face, she crossed her arms and inquired, "Hyunjin, what's going on?"

But the blonde, consumed by his inner turmoil, paid her no heed as he continued packing, his movements frantic. He made his way to the table shelves, searching desperately for his passport, all the while muttering, "I'm going to Australia." Mrs. Hwang gasped in shock, her eyes widening with disbelief as she approached her son.

Turning him towards her, she spoke firmly, her voice trembling with emotion, "You're not going anywhere." Despite her order, Hyunjin's gaze remained distant as he resumed his search for his passport, his voice betraying a sense of urgency as he asked, "Eomma, have you seen my passport?"

With a heavy heart, the lady sighed deeply before speaking, "Stop looking for it. I've kept it away. You aren't going anywhere." Her words hung in the air, laden with grief and resignation.

Furrowing his brows, the younger pleaded with his mother, his voice tinged with desperation, "Eomma, please. I don't have time. Give it back to me."

Shaking her head, she met her son's gaze, her eyes filled with sadness. "Hyunjin, you must've left the poor kid for a reason. Now that girl is locked up. May I ask, did you get whatever you wanted from her?" There was a heavy silence, the weight of unspoken truths suffocating the room.

Without waiting for an answer, the lady continued, her voice trembling with emotion. "Exactly. Without even finishing what you started, do you think you can face Lix? When he asks why you left him, you obviously won't tell him the reason. And since you both broke up, how can you get back together without a proper conversation. So first finish what you've started, and then go to him."

With a heavy heart, she turned away, leaving her son to grapple with the weight of his decisions and the pain he had caused.

The blonde feeling utterly helpless, he brushed his hair away in frustration, his actions a futile attempt to alleviate the turmoil within. Collapsing onto the bed, he sat with his hand on his knees, his body leaned forward, and his head resting heavily on his arms. A heavy silence enveloped him, broken only by the sound of his ragged breaths.

As minutes passed, the blonde's agitation slowly ebbed, replaced by a sense of grim determination. With tear-stained cheeks and a heavy heart, he whispered to himself, "Wait for me, lix. I'll untangle this mess, and then we can finally be together." The words echoed in the stillness of the room, laden with the weight of unspoken longing and pain.
