The sound of crying and the door slamming sobered the drunken Lisa up a little. His body moved and his hands unconsciously reached to his side where Jennie's hand were. Lisa took her hand and she lost her balance and fell into his arms.

"Lisa."

Jennie thought that he had woken up and tried to prop up her body to have a talk with him.

Lisa opened his eyes dreamily and closed them again after seeing who was in front of him. He gave her a kiss with his mouth that reeked of booze. When Jennie could no longer bear it, he rubbed his head against her neck.

"Sweetheart-"

This was what he had gotten used to these days. Jennie's body tensed up. She stopped trying to get away from him and looked up at Lisa.

He was not sober yet, the smell of booze was all over him. She hated it the when men got drunk. She also didn't like that Lisa had gotten so sloppy and had been brought to a hotel by a woman.

The way he said "Sweetheart" kept her heart, which had softened over the past few days, from getting angry.

Lisa stretched out his hand and encircled Jennie's waist. He rubbed his cheek against Jennie's neck.

"Sweetheart."

Jennie finally stopped moving after he whispered it again. She sighed in and spoke in a very low voice.

"Lalisa, you're really a troublemaker."

Getting into trouble with a woman like Somi, you're really-

Looking down, she realized there was something wrong. She suddenly looked at Lisa again.

Somi and Qiu Junjiao are friends. That means she must come from a good family. Why does she want Lisa so badly?

As a strange feeling surged up in her, Jennie looked closely at Lisa.

A woman like Somi is unlikely to have a crush on an ordinary man. So who on earth is Lisa?

She remembered that his clothes were of the best quality and workmanship, though the brands were never revealed.

The gifts he had bought for Kim Soo-Hyun and Seo Yea-Ji had also not been cheap and neither had the diamond ring or the clothes he had bought for her.

And-

Adding all the signs up, the suspicion she had felt before came to her again, making Jennie feel uncomfortable.

She pushed Lisa away without hesitation. He did not have much strength because of his drunkenness and, thus, was easily pushed away.

As soon as Lisa's body was off her, she got up. She wanted to leave, but turned around and went into the bathroom after staring at Lisa's sleeping face for a while.

...

Lisa woke up with a headache. He had not had a hangover for a long time. He raised one of his hands, rubbed the corners of his forehead, and realized that something was wrong.

The air conditioner was turned a little low, but that was not the most important thing. The most important thing was that he didn't seem to be wearing any clothes.

Naked?

He opened his eyes instantly and looked at his body, and then looked at his surroundings.

This isn't home. I am not at Jennie's apartment? Is this a hotel?

He remembered that he had met Jisoo yesterday, who was a very close friend of his. He had been in another city with a good friend, so he must have gotten drunk, right?

And then what had happened?

His last memory was that of Jungkook and Somi seeming to approach him.

Lisa's face suddenly turned cold. It seemed that he had been too careless around them. He hadn't expected that Jungkook and his sister would dare to do such things with Jisoo present. They really had some nerve.

He gazed upon the woman who was sleeping on the other side of the bed. She had her back to him. Her black hair covered her facial features, and the bedsheets dropped slightly, revealing her white shoulders.

The smell of alcohol had not yet dissipated, and the stench filled the room. The woman remained sound asleep.

Lisa had no interest in guessing what had happened after he had passed out last night. He was not the least bit interested in how Somi had framed him or how she had taken off his clothes.

Lisa sneered, restraining his urge to strangle the woman lying next to him. It would be splendid.

He had really underestimated this pair of siblings. They had the guts to try to frame him.

Lisa got out of bed without a second thought and realized his clothes were gone. The sneer on his face deepened.

If he was right, Jungkook would barge in with the others soon to try to catch him cheating.

What a marvelous scheme. If he didn't get caught, how could he repay the Jeon siblings for their dastardly plot?

Lisa looked around but couldn't find his phone. He proceeded to call room service and ask for a set of clothes.

After hanging up, he realized that the woman he thought was Somi was waking up. He saw her body moving under the bedsheets.

Was she awake?

Good.

Lisa marched forward. He reached out his hand and seized the damn women by the neck. "Somi, you-"

"Hm." A muffled sound came from under the bedsheets. Lisa released his hand having heard the familiar voice.

Her black hair slid off her face, uncovering the delicate and pearly face that was hiding under it. Jennie?

"Wife?"

Jennie had still been dreary when she felt the sharp pinch on her neck. She coughed several times before waking up. Eventually, she got her breath, and her eyes widened. She stared at Lisa.

"What's the matter? You get up and strangle someone's neck every morning? Did you and that young lady like to play rough?"

"Wife, how are you here?" Lisa quickly checked her neck, relieved when he discovered that it was just a little red.

"Wife, are you okay? I didn't mean it. I am-"

"You're what?" Jennie regained her mobility and sat up. Looking at Lisa, who was still naked, she said, "I didn't know you did this in your free time."

"Wife, I don't." Lisa was shocked and quickly tried to explain himself. "Wife. Listen to me, I thought you were Somi."

Lisa was anxious to explain his innocence. Jennie straightened up and pulled up the bedsheets to cover herself because she was still undressed.

"Yes. I know that. You thought I was Somi. Not only did you guys get a room last night, but you also kept saying Somi's name all night while you hugged me."

"Impossible."

Lisa shook his head. Shock was written all over his face.

Jennie sneered. "Impossible? Look at my hand."

She raised her hand. There was a huge bruise on her arm. Lisa quickly reached out to check it, completely ignoring that he still needed to explain himself.

"What's wrong with your hand? How-"

"You did this."

Jennie was not at all polite. Lisa was embarrassed: "Are you sure?"

"You think that I deliberately hurt myself and then framed you?"

Jennie was still angry. She thought he had drunk too much and passed out yesterday. Who knew what other tricks he had up his sleeves?

After Somi had left, he had started acting out in the middle of the night.

He had vomited all over himself and all over her. The unbearable smell lingered on her.

She never knew that Lisa vomited when he got drunk.

Why else would she have been willing to sleep naked like this? There had been no clothes; she had even cleaned the room looking for some. She really had enough of this.

Lisa blinked and asked incredulously, "Was it really me?"

"Lisa." Jennie sat up, her face still angry. "Don't you think you should explain to me why you and another woman lay naked in the same bed?"

"I-"

Lisa's eyes now fell on Jennie. He suddenly got on the bed quickly, his hands on both sides of Jennie supporting his body over hers.

"Sweetheart, you are naked."

"Don't change the subject."

"Sweetheart, we've never done it in a hotel, have we?"

"Explain yourself, you - uhm-"

Explanations? Later. Now? Feast, Lisa thought.

"Lisa, let go." Finally, when Jennie had breathing room, she tried to push him away with all her hands and feet.

"No." Lisa was shameless. He was already pleased that the person who showed up this morning had not been Somi, a disgusting woman.

He could take his time to deal with Somi. At the moment, however, he had more important things to do.

"You-"

It was sunny outside, but Jennie could barely speak a word.

When it was all over, Jennie did not even have the strength to lift her hand. She looked at Lisa angrily and could not help but grab his arm and bite it hard.

Lisa didn't look fat, but he had a strong body. His arm was so thick that Jennie's cheeks hurt and her bite still failed to make him much pain. She was so angry that she couldn't help but bite harder.

"It hurts." Lisa looked at her with an exaggerated look on his face. "Sweetheart, it hurts. It really hurts."

Did he really dare to say that? Jennie made up her mind and bit even harder. Finally, she let him go when her teeth became numb.

"Sweetheart-" Lisa looked at his arm with her teeth marks but did not dare to say anything.

Jennie turned over and did not want to talk to him. She had done two surgeries yesterday and now was finally able to take a break, but this guy had done it again.

She had barely slept at all and had been woken up by the guy in the morning like this.

Seeing that she was angry, Lisa stuck himself to her again and said, "Sweetheart-"

"Don't talk to me."

"Sweetheart, it was my fault."

"I said don't talk to me."

"Sweetheart, forgive me."

"Shut up."

"Sweetheart-"

"Lalisa-"

Jennie could not stand it anymore. She turned around and sat up, glaring at Lisa. "Haven't you had enough?"

Lisa's body flinched and he whispered, "Sweetheart, I really know it was my bad. I must explain that what happened yesterday was not what you think."

"Well, what do I think?" It was the first time Jennie had spoken in such a sarcastic tone. It was also the first time she had known that she could do it.

"Nothing happened between me and that Somi. Yesterday it was actually-" He went on to explain everything in the simplest possible words.

Jennie listened to his explanation and, finally, she raised her eyebrows. "You mean you're innocent?"

"Of course."

"So what happened was you went to a normal social engagement. It resulted in you going to a hotel with a woman without you even knowing it?"

"I told you, I thought if Jichu was there they wouldn't..." Looking at the scorn in Jennie's eyes, Lisa reached out and grabbed her hands. "Wifey, I swear to god I did not betray you. I'm a victim too."

"You're a victim? Why do I feel like you're enjoying this?"

If he was a victim, would he have cooperated with them? She thought they must have worked quite well together.

"Absolutely not." When Lisa spoke again he began to act carelessly. He pulled her into his arms. "I was only passionate because I thought that person was you. I wouldn't have responded to any other women, so you..."

"Lalisa." Jennie couldn't listen anymore. What the hell was he saying? "Shut up."

Lisa zipped his mouth shut, but he was unsatisfied and moved his face closer to her again. "Wifey, please, just believe me right now!"

Jennie remained silent. She turned her face away and ignored him. Lisa began to shake her arm like a child.

"Alright. Wifey, I promise, this will never happen again."

"Would you want it to?"

"Of course not." Lisa quickly raised three fingers and swore, "This is the last time."

Jennie had already begun to believe him when she saw his reaction. She was just messing with him. Considering how drunk he had gotten last night, no way he could have called out Somi's name.

He still needed to learn a lesson. Otherwise, he wouldn't know where he had gone wrong.

Jennie suddenly froze and Lisa felt the tension.

"Wife..." She's not bringing it up again, is she?

Jennie tilted her head and looked at him. She had to admit that Lisa was very handsome. Was there more to this handsome face?

"That was Somi yesterday, wasn't it? She told me something."

"What?" Lisa put his guard up, unsure of what Jennie was about to tell him.

"She said you were just playing with me. She said you couldn't like someone like me. She also said-"

"Wifey, she was talking nonsense."

"But she told me I wasn't good enough for you, that your family would never let you marry an illegitimate child."

"Wife." The expression on Lisa's face changed.

Jennie continued. "Lisa, I'm curious. What is your family like? Who are you exactly?"

The atmosphere in the room changed. Everything was dead silent.

Lisa looked at Jennie. She was calm and her eyes were full of tranquility. Jennie had always been a smart person, he knew that.

She just never cared about arguing with others. That did not make her stupid.

"I-" Lisa seemed to be thinking about what he was going to say. "Wifey, I can explain."

"Uh huh. Go ahead."

"I-"

"You are actually hiding something from me, aren't you?"

"No." Lisa waved his hand quickly. "I'm just -"

The doorbell rang, Lisa jumped off the bed, as if he had just been spared his life. He quickly threw on a bathrobe and opened the door.

Jennie curled up under the blanket. She obviously could not let others see her like this.

The room service was bringing clothes for Lisa. Now, they also needed to bring some clothes for Jennie.

After they had their clothes delivered, Lisa returned back to the room. Jennie was already sitting up, waiting for his explanation.

"Wifey, if I tell you, you have to promise me you won't be angry."

"Okay, I won't be mad."

Lisa looked at Jennie's face and cleared his throat. "My family is indeed not too badly off."

"How good is not bad?"

"We're a little rich."

"And?" It could not be as simple as a little rich, could it?

"I had a quarrel with my family before I left. Then, I met you." Fearing that Jennie would not believe him, Lisa took her hand again and said, "I have nothing to do with my family now."

"That's it?" Is that all?

"That's it." Lisa nodded vigorously, afraid that she would not believe him.

"Did you have a serious quarrel with your family?"

"Yes." Lisa nodded intently. "It was a very severe altercation. Now, I've broken away from my family and am starting over. That was why I didn't tell you."

Jennie did not speak and Lisa could not tell whether she was angry or not. He looked at her carefully, "Sweetheart, you're not angry, are you?"

"So, you've broken away from your family and have been living here all by yourself?"

"Yes." Lisa nodded. "So, you see, sweetheart, I am really miserable."

Miserable? How? Jennie almost laughed out. She was speechless. With his personality, how could he let himself become miserable?

"You're not the only child in your family, are you?" If he was, then his running away was not good for his family.

"I'm not." Lisa's voice was very light. If Jennie had looked at him closely, she would have found that something had changed in Lisa's eyes.

"There is nothing else that you're hiding from me, is there?" Jennie looked at him suspiciously. Why did she still feel something was still wrong?

"No, I promise." Lisa held up three fingers. Behind him, where Jennie could not see, he crossed the fingers on his other hand.

Jennie wanted to ask more, but her phone rang. She answered it and was told that there was an emergency at the hospital now.

"I'm going back to work." She was supposed to have been working the night shift that day. Jennie quickly got out of bed but fell forward because of her soft feet. Lisa helped her up quickly.

"Don't go to work if you're tired."

"Ha." Jennie sneered. "Thanks to someone."

"Me." Lisa's momentum was weakened again.

"You know it, huh?" Jennie thought of something and added, "Don't drink anymore."

"Yes, Madam." Lisa raised his hand and saluted. "I promise I won't drink anymore. I will listen to my sweetheart."

His unserious face gave Jennie a headache. If she had had to parent Lisa with his roguish character, she probably would have thrown him out of the house.

A bit later, Lisa's car stopped at the gate of the hospital and Jennie got out of the car in a hurry.

"Sweetheart-" Lisa looked at her. A bit of hesitation flashed through his eyes.

"What?" Jennie was anxious to get into the hospital and ignored Lisa's look of hesitation.

"Nothing, it's just you haven't given me a goodbye kiss." Lisa grinned again and resumed his insincere expression.

This guy is really good at leaving people speechless.

Jennie rolled her eyes, ignored him, and went directly into the hospital.

Watching her walk away, Lisa did not hurry to start the car; instead, he took out his cell.

He pressed a few numbers and gave orders coldly to the person on the other end of the line. "It's me. Terminate all cooperation with the Jeon's Group, now."

His eyes were dark and cold. If Jennie had been there, she would have thought that he was another person, not the Lisa who always clowned around in front of her.
