'hey' matilda began as she lent on the doorframe of lorenzos room
'hi' he replied quietly, giving her a small smile before carrying on packing his bag
'how are you feeling' she asks, sitting down next to him
'not too bad' he shrugged, 'i mean it's just like going back to my old life right?'
'hm yeah i guess so' matilda replied, there was a comfortable silence in the air as matilda began to help enzo fold his clothes
'it's really brave of you enzo, to go back i mean' matilda spoke out
'really?' enzo questioned, sounding genuinely shocked
'yeah! for sure, i mean i've ran away twice now, your much tougher than you think you are enzo' she smiled at him sweetly before he wrapped her in a tight hug that she could tell he needed, he felt as if a weight was off his shoulder. after a few moments he pulled away and smiled at her, her eyes meeting his
'your gonna be okay enzo' she said calmly 'and i'll see you soon alright?' she nodded at him as she spoke
'yeah, i'll come visit' he smile back at her
'you better!' she chuckled as she got up and left the room.
matilda lay outside, with her head resting on theo's lap as he sat on the neatly placed blanket
'so' she sighed 'and then there were two' she giggled as she looked up at him, only to be met by him already staring down at her with unbridled admiration and love.
'what do we do now?' she asks, reaching up to place a gentle hand in the side of his face
'anything we want tilly' he says softly 'anything at all'
