I hate the almost in our story
That maybe if almost didn't exist
I Wouldn't be writing our story while crying
But if i'm being honest, I wouldn't go back and change a thing
Because you taught me how to love someone with my entire being
I spent a thousand lifetimes searching for you
Hoping that in this lifetime the us would stay
Maybe on the next timeline, we won't almost be
I miss you, but I know that I have to stop trying
I'm just haunted that we almost were
We're something forever, a love that consumes my soul
A burning flame that never ends
Your candle my be out of light, but mine is still shining on end
