-Revali's POV-
It took a while, but we finally got our weapons back and made it out of the hideout... kind of. We managed to get to an outside area with a massive chasm in the middle of it, with the moon shining above us. How late is it...?
"Well... I think I might be able to fly us out of here, (Y/N). We need to hurry and tell Zelda about the Yiga's plan and-"
When I turned to see (Y/N), they were staring down at the chasm, almost in a hypnotized manner.
"Uhm... (Y/N)?" No response.
"(Y/N)!" I reached over to grab them by the shoulder. That seemed to snap them out of the trance.
"Huh?"
"What's up with you, dummy?"
"I... I don't know. Something's down there." (Y/N) walked slightly too close to the chasm, almost triping over. "WOAH- HEY! BE CAREFUL, DUMBASS!"
"Sorry! Sorry..." I pulled them back to solid ground. "Why are you acting so weird?"
"I don't know...? Whatever's down there is... calling me..."
"Oh my goddess, my lover has gone crazy..."
"I'm not crazy! I swear there's something down there. Something important..." (Y/N) insisted.
"It's probably nothing." I brushed it off. "Now come on, climb on my back so we can get- ARE YOU SERIOUS?!"
(Y/N) almost fell into the chasm AGAIN. If it wasn't for me, they'd be a dead Zonai...
"Look..." I sighed. I can't believe I'm saying this, but if you really think it's so important, I can take you down there to take a look." I was slightly hesitant to say that. I mean... what was down there that was making (Y/N) act so strangely.
"Really?"
"But it has to be quick. We need to hurry."
"Yes, yes of course! Let's just go quick!" (Y/N) yanked me and the arm and... threw me into the chasm along with themselves.
"AH! WHEN I MEANT FAST, I DIDNT MEAN THROW ME INTO THE MASSIVE HOLE IN THE GROUND!"
"I'll repay you when we get back home!"

As we got closer to the ground, (Y/N) held onto me as I flapped my wings to slow down our fall. Thankfully, it worked. Bad news is... it's extremely dark here.
"You better tell me you have a lightsource. Its gonna be a pain in the feathery ass to go back up."
"Don't worry, the Sheikah Tech Lab crew gave me this nifty thing a while ago!" (Y/N) pulled a small flashlight device that illuminated the area around us.
"Now... what is it you made us come down here-"
Before I knew it, (Y/N) was already stumbling their way towards a massive temple-like building, adorned with thousands of ancient Zonai art and statues. "Of course..."
"What is this place...?" (Y/N) asked as we walked into the temple.
"You tell me."
A small semi-circle shape stood in the massive door that blocked the rest of the temple. "Seems like a dead end to me-"
But as (Y/N) approached it, a small, bright green symbol of a hand appeared around the semicircle. "... nevermind."
"You think I should... touch it or something?
"Maybe it will open the door... I say you try it." I suggested. To be honest, my curiosity spoke for me at this point.
"Well, you're the smart one..."
"I know."
(Y/N) placed their left hand on the symbol, which disappeared suddenly. The doors started to move open, revealing an extremely deteriorated room. "Is... that it? A destroyed room?"
"No... I can still sense it." (Y/N) rushed into the remains of the room. "Hey! Don't leave me behind, dummy!"
(Y/N)'s ears perked up when we got deeper into the room. "Finally found whatever was 'calling' you?" I said with annoyance, but my curiosity took over me as I tried to take a peek to whatever (Y/N) was staring at.
"Yeah! I think..."
A small, bright stone was hidden beneath the rubble of the room. It was something like I've never seen before...
"A pebble? Really?!"
"I don't think it's a pebble, love." (Y/N) inspect the small stone. But after a few seconds of holding it, a small marking appeared on the stone, and it stuck itself to (Y/N)'s ear like an earring. "WHA- OUCH!"
"Are you alright?"
"I think so..." (Y/N) rubbed the part where the earring stuck itself in pain. "What in the name of Hylia is this?"
"What, you're asking me? I may be smarter than most, but not even I know what that thing is..." I shrugged. "Now, can we just get out of here?" Honestly, this place made me feel slightly scared. Just slightly.
"Revali, are you... scared?"
"What? No! Of course not, I'm the mighty Reval- WHAT WAS THAT." I jumped into (Y/N)'s arms at the sound of a bokoblin scream echoing through the ruins.
"..."
"Not. A. Word." I got off their arms and crouched down for them to get on. "Let's get out of here. Now."
"Don't think I'm not gonna tease you about this."
"SHUT UP!"

We finally made it back to Hyrule Castle, where we told Zelda everything. Luckily for us, almost everyone was at the castle. Rauru and... Magnus? Was that his name? Were in the castle library, so (Y/N) could ask them about the strange stone we had found.
"So you're telling me... this little pebble powers up (Y/N)'s rewind ability?"
"Yes!" Rauru exclaimed. "It's called a secret stone, and it's given to the utmost warriors in the kingdom to help them in battle."
"Then why didn't I get one?"
"I have read about it in books before! And also about a strange process called dragonification revolving around these!" Magnus added as he examined the stone closely.
"That was documented?!" Rauru stood up in shock. "It's an extremely prohibited practice! The act of consuming one of these secret stones to turn into an immortal dragon is not done unless all other options are exhausted!"
Dragonification? What kind of dumb idiot would swallow a stone to transform into a dragon?
"Wait... are the other dragons that roam around the kingdom ancient people that went through that process?!" (Y/N) asked with curiosity.
"It's a popular theory... but not yet confirmed." Magnus added. "Now stay put... I've never seen a secret stone in person, so I need to document it!"
"Really? Haven't you noticed mine?"
"YOU HAVE ONE TOO?"
"Oh dear... I suppose its better if you two leave" Rauru chuckled.
"Yeah... come on, Revali. Teba and Kass were worried sick about you!"
"Can't we just tell them I'm fine? I'm not in the mood for... anything to be honest." I sighed. I'm in serious need of some good rest...
And for goddesses sake can't (Y/N) and I have a private moment without it ending up badly?! I swear if the next time we get to be alone...
"Okay, don't worry. The princess told us we could stay at the castle tonight!" (Y/N) smiled. "I'll meet you in whatever bedroom you choose, okay?" They hugged me tightly before leaving to look for the other two Rito.
"At least I know I'll be getting some good cuddles... wait WHAT AM I SAYING?!"
Flustered and slightly mad at myself, I made my way up to the guest bedrooms in the castle. I just picked one at random and flopped into bed. "Ughh... what a day..."
After a few minutes and no signs of (Y/N), I decided to go out to the roof to get some fresh air. Maybe that can help me wind down...
I stayed there until (Y/N) finally came back. "Revali? Are you here?"
"Up here on the roof."
"Sorry it took a while!" (Y/N) said as they climbed out the window. "Magnus was bugging me about the secret stone... again."
"It's fine." I sighed.
"You seem tired, birdie..."
"Of course I'm tired!" I stood up. "We have another massive headache to deal with now with the Yiga Clan bringing back the calamity! How are we going to defeat a stronger version of the thing that would've killed us if it weren't for whatever that stupid robot thing did to bring those guys from the future?!"
(Y/N) wrapped their arms around my waist. "It is worrying, but... no need to stress yourself about that, love. We'll find a way."
Finally, after always getting interrupted in these kinds of moments, we were back to that comfortable silence. Just us, the moonlight shining above us, and the tranquility of being close to my lover.
"Better?" (Y/N) looked down at me with a slight smile.
"Mhm."
"You know... when I feel exhausted from it all, sometimes just playing my guitar helps." (Y/N) suggested, pulling out their guitar. "Want me to play something for you?"
"Well... maybe I can play something for you? Or we can play something together?"
"Oh? Are you finally showing me your violin skills?!" (Y/N)'s long tail wagged with excitement.
"Heh, of course you would get excited over that... But... where's my violin?"
"Oh! Right, you left it at the hut in Zon'hirith that night." (Y/N) handed me my violin. It seemed intact... even better than when I left it.
"Huh... Well, it doesn't matter. Ready to see a masterful display, dummy?"
"Mhm! Come on, just play already!" They said with excitement, readying their guitar. How adorable.
"Well... here it goes." I took a deep breath and started playing.

"That was-"
"Horrendous!" I complained. "I can't play for the life of me."
"WHAT?! You can't be serious, love! That was beautiful!"
"Oh come on, (Y/N). Don't lie to me..."
"Do I look like I'm lying?"
"...no"
"Then it's the truth! I knew you were good at the violin, but... this good?! Damn!"
"Oh shush... you're just trying to make me blush."
"I mean every word I said, birdie." (Y/N) hugged me tightly again, dropping their guitar to the side. "You feel better now?"
"Mhm... I suppose..."
"Good. I don't like seeing you stressed..." (Y/N) sighed in relief.
"At least you actually know how to get me to calm down..."
"I mean, you're my boyfriend! Of course I know that."
We sat on the roof for a few hours, I believe. (Y/N) rambled on and on about how they couldn't believe I thought I was bad at the violin. But I wasn't really listening... just staring into their eyes filled me with such joy...
