it was decided that yuki and choso would stay back to watch over tengen while maki went out to get cursed tools, and yuta went into a colony already.
you went with megumi and yuji to go find someone named shinji hakari. apparently he would be a good ally to have during this whole culling game thing,
"why do we have to change, again?" yuji asked curiously,
"hakari is engaged in illegal jujutsu activities, so if he realises that we're from jujutsu high, he might bolt," megumi explained,
"it's like we're the cops kinda, and he's the robber," you smiled, dumbing it down for yuji,
"oh, i see," yuji nodded, "do you think he'll cooperate?"
"given what he's involved in, i'm not sure," he sighed,
"all the senpai say that he's a good-for-nothing," you shook your head, "but okkotsu says that hakari is stronger than him... we need his strength,"
yuji just nodded as you all walked under the barriers.
you were stopped by two guards, one really short one and one that was buff as hell,
"scram, this place isn't for kids," the small one spoke,
"go back or i'll clobber you," the buff one threatened.
megumi then started his cover story, claiming that you all needed money and wanted to join the fight club. yuji was clearly confused so you just gave him a small look that said, "just go with it."
the buff guard froze a little,
"rule one is to not talk about the fight club... who told you?" he slightly raised his voice, "tell me now, then i'll beat the snot out of you!"
"i didn't get his name before i killed him," megumi lied, "it was about a month ago,"
you held back you chuckles. it was a little funny seeing megumi try to act all tough in front of the guards, but the story was working.
the guards started talking about this guy who they called a scumbag. his name was kondo. he apparently disappeared around the time frame that megumi stated. you wondered a little bit about where he got this information,
"the boss said he's okay with it," the short one stated, getting off the phone. he then pointed to yuji, "but he has to be the one to fight,"
'it's probably better if yuji goes in anyways, so that shouldn't be a setback,'
"no, it has to be me," megumi spoke plainly,
"the boss doesn't like ya," the guard sneered, "if you don't like it, then the deal's off,"
"understood. it's a deal then," he replied.

you guys walked a little to wear the actual building was. it was a bit of a walk but it gave you guys some time to discuss what's next,
"alright, so itadori, you'll join the fights and get a look on the inside and y/n, i want you to be a spectator and watch out for hakari in case he's watching us from inside. or just look for any suspicious activity in general," megumi stated,
"gotcha," yuji smiled,
"too easy," you replied nonchalantly, "where will you be?"
"i might try to sneak into the parking garage... maybe,"
"maybe?" yuji asked him,
"it's a big risk trying to sneak around if we're new comers," megumi replied,
"mhm! they'll probably be watching us closely, especially megumi since he was the one speaking to the guards," you added,
"and if i get caught, hakari will lose trust in you two as well,"
"if that happens we can just use force," itadori shrugged. you sighed,
"sure but only as a last resort," the ravenette said, "all we're trying to do is request his help, not effect any lasting relations,"
yuji nodded, showing his understanding as the three of you got to the building.
you and megumi went up to the spectator stand whilst yuji was with a guard preparing to fight.
the fight arena wasn't the most safest thing ever. it was just a two story building with the middle fo the second floor taken off.
before the fight, megumi had already snuck away after the two of you confirmed it was safe to do so. you just continued to watch out.

a few minutes later, the guard escorted yuji out to the fight arena, where yuji would meet his opponent
"WELCOME TO THE GACHINKO FIGHT CLUB TOURNAMENT!!!!" you heard a voice come from the speaker, "I'M YOUR ANNOUNCER, JOHN BOBBY!!"
'what an irritating voice.. and what a strange name?' you thought.
you weren't gonna lie and say you weren't worried for him. you know he's got great strength without cursed energy, but you didn't have a clue on who was on the other side of that arena.
you just watched in anticipation as the opponent walked out into the car park,
'panda?!?'
panda must of been in on this plan too. you had no idea he would be here.
you looked towards yuji who smirked a little upon seeing him. he then felt your gaze on him and looked up at you, giving you a slight wink,
you smiled, waving only slightly so people didn't suspect too much,
'be careful,' you mouthed, watching him and panda walk towards eachother,
"AND NOW I'LL INTORDUCE THE FIGHTERS!" john bobby came back as you sighed in annoyance,
"WE HAVE A SURPRISE FIGHTER!! THE DANGEROUS FIREBALL KID, YUUUJIIII ITAADOOORRIII," he cheered,
"IT STANDS LIKE A PANDA, SITS LIKE A PANDA AND WALKS LIKE A PANDA!!! ITSSS PANNDDDAAAAA!!!"
'for the love of god stop screaming into your mic!'
"HAVE YOU PLACED YOUR BETS?? LET'S GET READY TO RUMBLEEEE!!!"
just for fun you placed a 10,000 yen bet on yuji since you knew he was going to win. it was of course sponsored by gojo's unfrozen bank account.
you watched yuji and panda hash it out, with yuji absolutely destroying panda.
you smiled a bit, they actually made it really entertaining. you began to think that maybe hakari will wanna meet with yuji after this.
you watched the end of the fight come near, with yuji throwing one final blow to panda's stomach, watching him fly to a wall.
panda groaned dramatically in agony,
"I CAN'T MOVE!! THE ANIMAL WELFARE SOCIETY WON'T STAND FOR THIS!!"
you and yuji deadpanned, silently thinking the same thing,
'panda is a terrible actor...'
