A few weeks passed, and Regina and Scarlett went on multiple dates which turned out to be much more fun than expected. Regina decided to keep things on the down low for a few more weeks until she was more sure of the situation which Scarlett understood entirely.
It was around October which meant it was almost time for Shane Omen's annual Halloween party. Regina knew invitations would go around soon, she wasn't sure whether Scarlett would be invited or not.
But if she was stood in Shane's shoes, she was sure to invite the redhead. She knew things would get messy if the guy decided to leave the redhead out. Scarlett had become quite the popular girl at school and not including someone with such power, would simply be a bad decision.
Scarlett wasn't the popular kind that the plastics were. Instead, she was someone that everyone at school had started to recognize. They looked up to her, not only because she was a couple of years older. But also because she was so confident, she didn't let the opinions of poor nobodies influence her.
Pretty much everyone had found out about her image in the Upper East Side. They had seen what kind of life she had back there and people had started to envy her. Which somehow made the people at school like her even more.
She was classy, and everyone wanted to be like her and be liked by her.
Unfortunately for them, Scarlett didn't
Considering Cady, she was almost afraid for the girl. She had seen Aaron hanging around the foreign girl for quite some time now. But as far as she knew, Cady was too oblivious to catch any hints thrown her way. Besides that, had this girl ever been to a party in the first place?
She and Scarlett had spoken about the situation. Because Scarlett was in the same Calculus class as Aaron and Cady, she had gotten to hear every single conversation between the two.
It was embarrassing, to say the least.
Scarlett had told Regina about the lying for attention, the stupid remarks Cady would make to even get the tiniest bit of attention from Aaron and so on. Regina rolled her eyes and shared her opinions, which weren't much better than Scarlett's blunt words.
It went something like
"That girl is like the worst version of Brian from the breakfast club"
"If she doesn't stop soon I will tear her to pieces"
"But do it slowly, it'll be more fun"
Yeah no, they weren't the kindest of them all. But what can you do?
They wondered what would happen if Cady did in fact decide to join the party at Shanes. What would she dress up as, what would she drink, who would she kiss? Who would even dare to kiss her?
Scarlett and Regina gossiped about the situation a bit more before they realized the most important question.
What were they going to wear?
Regina had already chosen an outfit. She had seen this very hot costume of an Angel. It was a bit different from previous years where she would dress up as some kind of sexy animal. But once she saw this costume on Tiktok, she knew she had got to buy it.
It would be cool if Scarlett wore the opposite, which was a Devil's costume. It would be like a cool metaphor. Regina being the angel at school, this charming figure walking around, appearing to be kind and bless everyone, whereas Scarlett walked around with no care in the world. Being her confident and evil self, never sugarcoating anything and never even pretending to care about anyone.
But the pair knew it would somehow be obvious to the people around them. They had been pretending to hate each other at school, and Scarlett always managed to find a way to snarl at the girl in the halls. Trying to break Regina's ego with her words.
People always noticed the two bickering. Some of them had started to say the tension between the two had been thicker than ever, that something was going on between the two, but the other students had always been fast to shut those rumours down.
"You know, I can also let my followers decide?" Scarlett offered, Regina lying on her chest in their bed.
Regina had been sleeping over for the past few days. Since it was only October, midterms were still a few weeks away and both girls had been pretty relaxed overall. So pretty much all of their free time was spent together.
Every day after school either Regina or Scarlett would drive home, with the other girl following suit. They wanted to prevent any students from suspecting anything, so the only option was to drive separately.
Scarlett had brought it up a few times, talking about how much power Regina had over pretty much the whole school. Which meant that no one would dare to say a word about their relationship. But Regina didn't buy a word.
Scarlett had barely ever seen Regina so insecure about something, it hurt her to see the blonde like this. Regina wasn't one to be insecure, especially not about something which involved the opinions of people.
However, Regina couldn't help it.
Fortunately, Scarlett respected her feelings and gave her all the time she needed. She knew how absolutely fucked it was to push someone in this situation, to force the other to come out and make an ultimatum about the two options. Either come out or break up.
No, that was just inhuman.
So Scarlett was there for her, as long as she needed it.
Regina appreciated this more than ever. It felt kind of unnatural to her. She had been in plenty of relationships. But barely ever did she have someone who cared about her feelings like this. No guy ever really listened to what she had to say, sure he listened, but never did he listen to her.
The way Scarlett was there for Regina, Regina was there for Scarlett. Even though the redhead didn't want to admit it, she had begun to feel kind of homesick. Every day she would see posts of her friends back home, going to parties and her favorite jazz clubs around the city.
She missed her friends, especially Blair. Blair brought a spark in her life which she didn't realize how important it was. Blair's spark made her days more livable, more bright, more alive.
And now that spark had kind of faded.
Regina was there to listen to Scarlett, she was there to try and light that spark back on.
And she was doing pretty good in Scarlet's opinion.
"If you let your followers choose, it will look like it was their decision, and not yours. That way we won't actually be matching. Just accidentally be each other's opposites" Regina answered with a smile.
Scarlett grabbed her phone and searched for a photo on Pinterest. Once she had found it she made the poll and quickly posted the question on her story.
Minutes later numerous people had started to vote, pretty much all of them wanting her to dress up as the devil. She smiled at the outcome, happy to still be sort of matching with her newfound favourite person.
"Well, guess we are going to have a couples outfit after all" Scarlett winked, kissing the blonde on the lips.
"Guess we will" Regina smiled back, she loved this new habit of kissing the girl.
Regina got lost in the kiss, wrapping her arms around the girl's neck and tangling their legs under the covers. These moments were something she would always cherish with her heart.
Scarlett could feel Regina her heartbeat rise as the kiss got deeper.
Once the girls ran out of breath they parted, looking one another in the eyes.
"How are things between you and Blair? I know you miss the girl" Regina asked in a moment of silence.
Scarlett sighed. "Yeah, I really do. She and I text often, but it's just not the same"
"I get that. Why don't you visit her at some point? We will have Christmas break soon after Halloween?" Regina offered, tracing patterns on Scarlett's arm.
Scarlett smiled at the idea, thinking back to their phone call. They had talked about it, and pretty much everything was planned out. But it still felt so far away.
"We are planning on meeting around Christmas, which I'm pretty excited about"
Regina noticed how empty Scarlett sounded, she was barely ever like this, and when she was it was for a good reason.
The blonde knew she had do to something to cheer her up, so she did what she enjoyed best.
"Baby you need some distraction" A smirk appeared on her face, which got Scarlett intrigued immediately.
"And what would that be" She rasped, sitting up slightly on her arms to make eye contact with Regina. "Tell me, baby"
Regina got chills from Scarletts immediate flirty demeanour.
"Let's go out. Let's get drunk and forget about our worries for a moment. I feel like we both need it" Scarlett was sold as soon as she heard the word drunk, needing some of the numbing distractions. Enough to forget her worries, not too much to forget about the hot women in front of her.
She knew how she was drunk, but she had yet to find out how Regina became when she was drunk.
She had a feeling she would like it.
"It's 9pm baby, get that pretty ass of yours ready"
Scarlett got out of bed, receiving a slap on her ass from Regina. She turned around, glaring at the giggling girl behind her.
"What, you weren't wearing any pants, you were practically begging for it" She tried to back away, but Scarlett was too fast with her actions.
"Just you wait till I get you begging baby" Just from those words Regina could feel the heat form between her thighs. "I'd like to see you try, mommy" The blonde challenged. Without a word Scarlett wrapped her fingers around Regina's throat, earning a moan.
"You've got a whole night ahead of you, I wouldn't get yourself in too much trouble if I were you"

Honestly, I absolutely hate this chapter. But I really needed a little filler.
I have some fun things in mind which I feel like you guys will also like.
Yeah no sorry for this chapter, I wanted some real feelings in this and some like background? Feelings? Thoughts? information? Idk, something different than just conversations and smut.
