EXT. RESIDENTIAL STREET -- DAY
The group stop in front of Lynda's house, a modest suburban home on a quiet, tree-lined street, "What time?" Annie asks
"I don't know yet. I have to get out of taking my stupid brother trick or treating." Lynda responds
"Saving the treats for Bob?" Jamari asks
"Fun-ny. See you." Lynda responds as she strolls up to her house. Annie, Jamari and Laurie start down the street.
CAMERA MOVES IN to a CLOSE SHOT of Laurie's face. She stares ahead along the sidewalk.
LAURIE'S POV -- MOVING SHOT -- Bushes Up the sidewalk is a series of bushes lining the street.
There, partially hidden in the shadows of a bush, is the shape of a man, watching them. He is barely visible, almost blending in with the dark foliage.
ANGLE ON LAURIE -- ANNIE, "Look." Laurie calls out
"Look where?" Annie asks
"Behind that bush there." Laurie adds
Jamari and Annie look. POV -- MOVING SHOT -- BUSHES The shape is gone. Just bushes.
ANGLE ON LAURIE -- ANNIE, "I don't see anything." Annie responds
"That man who drove by so fast, the one you yelled at." Laurie says
"Subtle, isn't he? Hey creep!" Annie shouts
"Shouldn't you go over there just in case?" Laurie asks
"She's a strong independent woman." Jamari responds
Annie walks right over to the bushes and kicks them hard. Nothing happens. "Laurie, my dear, he wants to talk to you." Annie calls out
Jamari and Laurie just stands on the sidewalk several feet from the bushes, "He wants to take you out tonight."
Slowly Jamari and Laurie walk over and stares at the bush, "He was standing right here." Laurie says in disbelief
"Poor Laurie. You scared another one away." Jamari says
"Cute." Laurie responds
They start walking down the sidewalk again, "It's tragic. You never go out. You must have a small fortune stashed from baby-sitting so much." Annie says
"The guys think I'm too smart." Laurie responds
lol they don't know what they're missing...
Another Unmatched Pictures awakening moment...
Laurie glances back at the bushes behind them, "I don't. I think you're whacko. You're seeing men behind bushes." Annie says, The three stop in front of Annie's house, another small suburban home, "Well, home sweet home. I'll see you later."
"Okay. Bye." Laurie says
"Peace." Jamari says putting up two fingers Annie walks up to her door.
For a moment Laurie looks around cautiously before starting down the sidewalk again with Jamari, Camera Tracking WITH Her.
"Say don't you have a crush on that one dude...uhh...Ben tramer?" Jamari asks
"Yeah I do but...I have a crush on someone else." She responds
"Really? Who?" He asks
She smiles, "He's tall, dark...handsome, he's basically y-" She begins
A strong wind rises and blows her hair in front of her face. Again she turns around and glances back down the street.
LAURIE'S POV -- BUSHES There is still nothing there. ANGLE ON LAURIE Suddenly, Laurie walks right into a man standing on the sidewalk in front of her.
She Screams and drops her books. It is LEE BRACKETT, Annie's father. He is a tall man in a county sheriff's uniform.
He quickly bends down and picks up her books, "Excuse me, Laurie." Brackett says looking at Jamari
"I am unarmed." Jamari says smiling nervously
"Mister Brackett..." Laurie says
"Didn't mean to startle you." Brackett responds
"It's okay..." Laurie says
"Well, it's Halloween. I guess everybody's entitled to one good scare huh?" Brackett asks smiling to Laurie
"Yes, sir. Nice seeing you." Laurie says
Brackett walks down the sidewalk to his house. Laurie bundles her books and hurries up the street.
"Hey Lor I gotta go, I'll see you later right?" Jamari asks beginning down the street
"Yeah totally." She responds
Jamari nods and makes his way home, Laurie stares after him smiling.
EXT. LAURIE'S HOUSE -- DAY
Laurie walks up on the front porch of her house. She pauses a moment and glances down the street.
LAURIE'S POV -- TRICK-OR-TREATERS Several Children in costumes are going door to door collecting their treats.
...this early in the morning? What kinda shit?
ANGLE ON LAURIE who talks to herself, "Well, kiddo, I thought you outgrew superstition."
We cut to Jamari's house, he enters through the front door and whistles, he freezes and looks around.
He seems extremely confused, he tosses his bag to the ground, he continues to look around extremely on guard.
He hears the floorboard creaking and turns to the side, his eyes glow with fire as he slowly makes his way to the side.
He opens the door and his eyes stop glowing, "Ellie what the hell?" He asks
Ellie laughs as she walks out alongside her parents, "Sorry we wanted to scare you." Ellie says
"For what?" Jamari asks
"My new friend told me to!" Ellie shouts
"She made another friend?" Jamari asks
"Yeah he didn't talk for some reason but he seemed like a nice guy." Maya responds
"What was his name?" Jamari asks bending down to get his dropped bag
"Michael!" Ellie shouts
Jamari's eyes flare up.
"Did she just..."
"Michael? What does Michael look like Ellie?" Jamari asks
"Uhhh...he had a weird white mask and a blue jumpsuit." Ellie responds
Jamari's eyes widen, "Ellie where did you talk to him at?" Jamari asks
"School!" Ellie shouts
"So he doesn't know where we live?" Jamari asks
"He shouldn't, what's wrong?" Ellie asks
"Look at me stay away from Michael he's a bad man." Jamari says
"What? He's my friend!" Ellie shouts
"He's not your friend Ellie! Stay away from him!" Jamari shouts, Ellie pouts, "I'm sorry Ellie...but I'm trying to help you, you're gonna get hurt messing with him."
"Fine!" Ellie shouts running upstairs
Jamari opens the closet and pulls out a piece of the wall, "Jamari what's wrong with Michael?" Darius asks
"Catch!" Jamari shouts tossing a shotgun to Darius who catches it
"JAMARI WHAT THE FUCK!" Darius shouts
"Michael Myers is a serial killer, he killed his sister long ago and he escaped from the asylum he was being held in. And you dumbasses let him speak to your daughter! And because I have to now look for this white masked mother fucker I can't protect you if he pulls up, and so you have to protect yourselves!" Jamari shouts grabbing an AK47, he tosses the weapon to his mother, "Use them wisely! The ammo is in the wall to, DO. NOT. OPEN. THE. DOOR!" He runs upstairs
It's revealed a dark shape is outside the door just watching.

Taylor goes over, The two men begin walking along through the graveyard, winding around headstones and flowers, "Every town has something like this happen. I remember a guy over is Russellville. Taylor speaks sadly, "Why do they do it?" He points to a plot right in front of them. Loomis stares. The headstone is missing, uprooted from the ground, "Goddamn kids. They'll do anything on Halloween."
"Whose grave is it?" Loomis asks
Taylor checks his notebook, then counts the rows and plots, "18, 20... Judith Myers..."
Taylor gives Loomis a quizzical look. Loomis shakes his head and looks out across the graveyard, "He came home..." Loomis realizes
