Although Avery planned to get up before the rest of the house, it appeared that Omar had beaten her to it as she turned over to find his side of the bed empty.

The sun had yet to rise as Avery got out of bed, but the Miami heat greeted her as soon as she stepped out of the room. Keeping quiet as she tiptoed through the empty halls of the spacious villa, she made her way to the only place she expected Omar to be at this hour.

Leaning against the door frame of the home gym, a small tired smirk spread across Avery's face as she watched Omar skillfully work against a punching bag, a du-rag covering his tapered waves as he perfected his craft.

Avery took in the way his muscles moved beneath his tattooed skin, the extensive artwork spanning from his neck to his feet, each tattoo with its own story to tell.

As he noticed her presence, Omar paused mid-punch, his intense gaze meeting hers. "Good morning, beautiful. Why are you up so early?" he asked, wiping the sweat from his brow with a towel.

Avery smiled softly as she stepped into the quiet room. "I'm making a birthday breakfast for Cassidy," she explained, walking over to stand beside him. "But when I realized you weren't in bed with me, I wanted to come and find you."

Omar chuckled, his eyes softening as he looked at her. "You didn't have to do that, but I appreciate it," he replied, his voice still husky from the early hour. "I just wanted to get in a good workout before we start the day."

Avery nodded in understanding, watching him resume his training with a sense of admiration. She loved the dedication and love he had for the art of boxing. It was part of the reason he was regarded as one of the best in his craft.

"How did you sleep?" Omar asked as he took a sip from his cup before closing the lid and putting it back down.

"Like a baby," Avery said, a soft, knowing smile playing on her lips. The night before their sex had been intense and passionate and exactly what Avery needed to put her mind at ease.

She remembered the way he had held her close, the depth of his thrusts, the way he looked into her eyes and spoke to her as she came, and made her feel cherished in every possible way. Avery felt a surge of warmth in her chest as she remembered it all.

As she watched Omar continue his training, she couldn't help but feel a rush of pride. He was not only a skilled boxer but also a kind and loving partner. Avery knew she was lucky to have him by her side.

After a few more minutes of watching him, Avery finally spoke up. "I'll leave you to it then. I'm going to make a start on breakfast."

Omar nodded, his focus back on the punching bag in front of him. "I'm about to finish up in here; I'll be out soon."

Avery smiled, feeling content as she left the gym and headed to the kitchen to start on Cassidy's birthday breakfast. The aroma of sizzling bacon filled the air as she began to prepare a feast fit for a celebration. She couldn't wait to see the joy on Cassidy's face when she woke up to the surprise.

As she cooked, Avery's thoughts drifted back to Omar and the mark he'd made on her life in just under two months. She loved the way she felt in his presence; he made her feel wanted.

Outside of their undeniable sexual chemistry, their friendship blossomed and grew. She enjoyed his company and missed him when they were apart.

"Good morning, buttercup," Chaney smiled softly as she walked into the kitchen, tightening the strings of her robe around herself as she came to stand at her best friend's side.

"Good morning, boo," Avery greeted with a warm smile. "I'm making breakfast for Cass."

Chaney's eyes lit up with excitement. "That's so sweet of you! She's going to appreciate it," she said, grabbing a piece of bacon from the plate. "And where's Omar? I thought he'd be attached to your hip."

Avery chuckled, flipping a pancake on the griddle.

"He's in the gym working out, although he did spend most of the night attached elsewhere." Avery smirked, making Chaney do the same.

"Oh, I bet he did," Chaney raised an eyebrow playfully. "Well, I'm glad to see you two are enjoying one another's company."

"So am I, and this weekend is supposed to be nothing but fun, but all I can think about is Brooke," Avery revealed.

She hated the way things were left between them. Avery wanted to speak to her friend and find out if she had done something to her that she was unaware of.

Avery completely understood her apprehension when it came to Omar, but as time went on, she couldn't help but feel there was more to it.

"She seemed cool when I met with her for lunch earlier in the week, she told me she was going to call you," Chaney said as she reached into the cabinet to grab a cup.

"I hope she does," Avery replied, her expression thoughtful. "I just want to clear the air and make sure there are no hard feelings between us."

Chaney nodded in understanding, pouring herself a cup of coffee. "I'm sure everything will work out. Just give it time and let things unfold naturally."

Avery smiled gratefully at her friend's words. She knew that Chaney was always there for her, offering support and guidance whenever she needed it. As they continued to prepare breakfast together, Avery felt a sense of warmth and comfort surround her, grateful for the love and friendship she had in her life.

The sound of footsteps approaching the kitchen made Avery turn around, and she saw Omar entering the room, a satisfied smile on his face. "Breakfast smells good," he said, walking over to give her a quick kiss.

Avery blushed as she watched him, the way he effortlessly moved around the kitchen, helping her set the table and pour orange juice, made Avery's heart swell with affection.

"Oh my God!" Chaney mouthed, making Avery turn away from her in an attempt to hide her face as she watched the way Omar and her best friend moved around each other. It was clear they were two people with feelings for one another, whether or not they have been expressed to each other clearly.

"Don't try to avoid eye contact with me, you guys are so obviously into one another. You've got that man acting like a housewife," Chaney said teasingly, making Avery cup her mouth to keep from laughing.

Avery couldn't deny the truth in Chaney's words. There was a connection between her and Omar that went beyond just physical attraction. It was a bond that ran deep, filled with understanding. As she looked at Omar, setting the table with a gentle smile on his face, Avery knew that she was falling for him more and more each day.

"We're taking things slow and doing what feels right for us, that's all," Avery explained only to be met with a knowing smirk from her best friend. As they all sat down to enjoy breakfast together, the laughter and chatter filled the room with warmth and joy.

"Is this for little old me?" Cassidy smiled sweetly as she joined everyone else, her voice still heavy with sleep as she hugged her older sister and then Chaney before she took a seat beside her boyfriend.

"It is," Avery smiled wide as she stood up from the table, quickly making her way into the kitchen to grab the bag containing her sister's gift. "Happy birthday, baby," she gushed as she returned, handing Cassidy the bag.

Reaching inside, the twenty-two-year-old gasped as she pulled out a medium-sized Chanel box, instantly feeling a wave of emotion wash over her.

"Wow, thank you so much, Avery!" Cassidy exclaimed, her eyes shining with tears of happiness as she carefully opened the box. Inside was a beautiful canary yellow Chanel purse that she had been eyeing for months.

Avery beamed with pride as she watched her sister's reaction, knowing that she had chosen the perfect gift. The room was filled with love and gratitude as they continued to enjoy the special birthday breakfast together.

The morning continued with laughter and celebration. Omar had managed to pull some strings and arranged for the group to sit courtside later that evening as the Heat took on the Pistons, before they were set to continue their celebrations at the hottest club in the city.

As the afternoon rolled around, Cassidy, Tyler, and her two friends who had also come along for the weekend left the house to spend the day in the city, followed shortly by Chaney who vaguely explained that she was meeting up with an old friend who lived in Miami, leaving Avery and Omar alone in the villa.

"I've been waiting to get you alone," Omar smiled as he stepped out onto the veranda, his eyes twinkling with mischief.

Avery raised an eyebrow, a playful smile tugging at her lips. "Oh, have you now? And what do you have planned for us, Mr. Bradley?"

Omar chuckled, taking her hand and leading her to a cozy outdoor seating area overlooking the lush garden and beach beyond.

"I like when you call me by my last name, it's sexy," he smirked as he pulled her down into his lap, his hands tracing gentle patterns on her back. "I'm just happy you finally have time for me," he said, his voice low and seductive.

Avery felt her heart race at the intensity in his gaze, the way he looked at her like she was the only woman in the world. Leaning in, she captured his lips in a passionate kiss, feeling the familiar spark of desire ignite between them. The warm breeze played with their hair as they lost themselves in each other, the connection between them growing stronger with each passing moment.

As they pulled away, Avery rested her forehead against Omar's, her breath mingling with his. "I always have time for you, Omar. I can't remember the last weekend I spent at home."

"If that's the case, how about I come and spend some time in Atlanta and be the one who makes time?" He asked in amusement.

"I'd like for you to come to Atlanta, but what about training for your next fight? The last thing I want you to do is change anything because I said something."

Omar smiled, his fingers gently brushing against her cheek. "It'll be fine, I have a gym to train at in Atlanta and my team are wherever I decide to be. It's a little less busy than Vegas, I could probably do without the distractions."

"What if I distract you?" Avery asked softly as she looked into his eyes.

"It will be a welcomed distraction," Omar smirked as his hands reached down to cup her ass.

Avery couldn't help but laugh at his response, the playful banter between them always bringing a smile to her face. She felt grateful for the easy camaraderie they shared, the way they could be themselves without any pretense.

"Okay, you can come to Atlanta, but only if you promise to behave yourself," Avery teased, running her fingers through his hair.

Omar chuckled, his eyes sparkling with mischief. "I can't make any promises, but I'll do my best to behave," he replied, pulling her in for another sweet kiss.

"You better," Avery smiled mischievously as she straddled his lap, her hands coming to rest on his chest as they got lost in each other.

"Get into the pool with me," Omar said as he  stood up with Avery in his arms, making his way towards the sparkling blue water of the villa's pool.

Avery laughed, the excitement evident in her eyes as she wrapped her arms around Omar's neck, feeling the cool water envelope them with each step Omar took further into the pool.

Walking over to the deep end, Omar  carefully lowered Avery into the water, her laughter filling the air as she splashed him playfully before diving under the surface. Moments later, she resurfaced, her hair slicked back and a mischievous glint in her eyes.

Omar couldn't help but smile at her infectious energy, feeling a sense of peace and contentment wash over him as he watched her. "Avery," he called.

"Yes, Omar?" Avery replied, treading water as she looked up at him with a smile.

"I just wanted to look at you, come here."

Avery's heart skipped a beat at his words, the sincerity in his eyes unmistakable. "You do?" She asked, a wide smile spreading across her face as she swam closer to him.

Omar's smile matched hers as he pulled her close, their bodies touching as they floated in the water together.

Leaning down as he held Avery so she could wrap her legs around his waist, Omar kissed her. His tongue slipping into her mouth as he blindly walked them towards the edge of the pool.

Their kiss deepened, their bodies entwined as they lost themselves in the moment. The water around them seemed to amplify the intensity of their connection, the sun casting a warm glow over them as they continued to explore each other with a passion that left them breathless.

As they finally broke apart, Avery looked into Omar's eyes, her heart skipping a beat as she met with his intense gaze.

"Although I could spend all day kissing you, we should use the afternoon to do something fun." Avery said against Omar's lips as he continued to hold her.

"What did you have in mind?" Omar asked, his forehead against Avery's, their lips less than an inch apart from one another's.

"There's a gallery that opened last year that I've been wanting to see."

Omar smiled, his eyes lighting up with interest. "I'd love to go with you. Let's get out of the pool and go check it out," he suggested, helping Avery out of the water before following suit himself.

They quickly dried off, showered and changed into casual clothes, ready to explore the art gallery that Avery had been eager to visit. While she sat in the mirror doing her makeup, Omar arranged for a car to come by the villa and pick them up.

The drive to the gallery was filled with easy conversation and laughter, the anticipation of exploring new art adding to the excitement of the day. As they entered the gallery, Avery felt a sense of wonder wash over her, the vibrant colors and intricate designs of the pieces captivating her attention.

Omar stayed close by her side, his hand gently resting on the small of her back as they strolled through the different exhibits, discussing each piece with enthusiasm and sharing their own interpretations of the art.

A rather erotic painting entitled 'lust' caught both Omar and Avery's attention and it wasn't long before their conversation to them, or rather their friendship.

"The sex we have is incredible, but outside of it, I really enjoy your company," Omar said as they walked side by side through the gallery. "I enjoy just sitting and listening to you talk about whatever crosses your mind."

Avery blushed as she looked up into Omar's eyes, letting out a deep breath as butterflies fluttered around her stomach relentlessly.

To be spoken of in such high regard was something she'd gone without for far too long; to hear Omar value her conversation and presence outside of physical intimacy meant the world to her.

She felt seen and appreciated in a way that she hadn't experienced in forever. It wasn't just about the words he spoke, but the way he looked at her with genuine interest and care.

"It's been a while since I've felt this comfortable and understood," Avery admitted shyly, a small smile playing on her lips. "Thank you, Omar. Your company means a lot to me too."

Omar reached out and gently tucked a loose strand of hair behind Avery's ear, his touch sending shivers down her spine. "I'm glad to hear that, Avery. Although any man worthy of having your attention should let you know," he said softly, his gaze unwavering.

"Marcus, my ex, has never physically hurt me, but he often made it known how little he valued me and my opinions," Avery explained.

"I hate to be that guy, but I'm curious to know why you stayed," Omar said, curious to know why a woman with as many prospects as Avery allowed herself to be mistreated by anyone.

"Being with Marcus is what was expected of me," Avery sighed. "I have a career, I'm building a life for myself, and a relationship is what is expected of me in my social circle. I thought that settling for less than I deserved was better than being alone."

Omar's expression softened as he listened, his heart aching for the pain Avery had endured. "You deserve so much more than that, Avery. You deserve to be with someone who values and cherishes you for who you are, not what's expected of you to be."

Avery felt tears welling up in her eyes, touched by Omar's empathy and understanding. "Thank you for saying that, Omar. I've never really opened up to anybody about this. I'm sorry to offload on you in the middle of a date," she said as she wiped beneath her eyes, embarrassed she'd been brought to tears while out with him.

Omar reached out and gently wiped away a tear that escaped Avery's eye. "Don't apologize for being vulnerable with me, Avery. I want you to feel comfortable enough to share your thoughts and feelings with me. I'm here for you, not just as a date, but as a friend who cares about you."

Avery felt a warmth spread through her chest, a feeling of acceptance and support that she hadn't realized she was craving until now. In that moment, she knew that Omar was different, that he saw her for who she truly was and appreciated her in a way that no one else had.

As they sat there, basking in the newfound connection between them, Avery couldn't help but feel grateful for the unexpected turn their date had taken.

"We're sitting in a room full of beautiful paintings and artwork, and here you are comforting me about my ex," Avery scoffed as she pulled out a small Chanel compact mirror from her purse to inspect herself.

Omar chuckled softly, his eyes filled with warmth as he watched her. "You are the most beautiful piece of art in this room, Avery. Inside and out."

Avery blushed at his words, feeling a warmth spread through her cheeks. She closed her compact mirror and looked back at Omar, a genuine smile playing on her lips.

"Thank you, Omar. You really know how to make a girl feel special," she said, feeling a sense of contentment wash over her.

As they continued to talk and share stories, Avery realized that sometimes unexpected moments could lead to the most beautiful connections. And in that moment, she felt grateful for the chance encounter that had brought Omar into her life.

"I definitely wouldn't want to spend all of my free time with you if I didn't think you were special," Omar said as he took her hand into his.

Avery's heart skipped a beat at Omar's words, feeling a rush of emotions swirling within her. She squeezed his hand gently, a silent gesture of appreciation for his kind words and the genuine connection they shared.

In that moment, surrounded by art and in the presence of someone who valued her for more than just physical intimacy, Avery felt a sense of peace wash over her. She knew that with Omar by her side, she could let go of the past and embrace the new beginnings that lay ahead.

As they sat there, hand in hand, basking in the warmth of their budding relationship, Avery couldn't help but feel excited for the future and the possibilities that lay before them.

"Kiss me," she said just above a whisper as she stopped in her tracks. She didn't care at all that they were in the middle of a popular art gallery on a Saturday afternoon, or about Omar's celebrity status as a world-class boxer. All she wanted was him.

Omar's heart skipped a beat at Avery's bold request, a rush of desire coursing through him. Without a second thought, he gently cupped her face in his hands and leaned in, pressing his lips to hers in a soft, lingering kiss.

The world around them seemed to fade away as they lost themselves in the moment, their connection deepening with each passing second. It was a kiss filled with promise, passion, and the unspoken agreement that they were embarking on a new chapter together.

As they finally pulled away, their eyes met, and a shared smile of understanding passed between them. In that moment, surrounded by art and wrapped up in each other's arms, Avery couldn't help but feel as though she was exactly where she was meant to be.
