"where did that cursed energy come from?"
Sakumo whispered to himself as he and Minato hopped from one tree to another. Sakura was in Minato's arms,
her little arms wrapped around his neck
She felt that cursed energy. It was something she had never felt before. While training, she had felt cursed energy but it was nothing even close to this. She was kinda worried
"Don't get worried, kit. You will not be harmed... You'll never be harmed"
A deep voice spoke
A voice only Sakura could hear. It reassured her, she closed her eyes
"I know, shukaku... I know. Thank you"
"No big deal, kit. Just focus on the paths. I'll show you the road"
Sakura sighed
Shukaku always said that, but didn't tell her what he meant. It was frustrating but Sakura didn't want to cause any problems so she never pressed on the matter
The greens started to disappear, they were going out of the forests. Soon they saw two shadows of people
"What's that!?"
Minato yelled, his eyes wide with shock
Soon Sakura felt Minato get down on his face
"Minato sensei! Sakumo sensei, what are you doing here?"
Sakura finally looked back
There was Rin and Obito. But the seen Infront of was something she really didn't expect
There was blood everywhere. A boy, probably much younger than Obito and Rin, was bleeding. He was unconscious and it looked like he was badly injured from his torso to his legs
There was another young boy with them, he had blonde hair and tired eyes that were wet with tears
Rin was trying her best to heal the wound. She really was, but Sakura could tell it wasn't enough to save this boy
"It's not important why we are here. But what happened here?"
Minato asked as she put Sakura on her own feet. Sakura quietly started to examine the injuries on the young boy
"These two are the current first years of Tokyo jujutsu high. They were sent on a mission. It was told the curse was second grade but turned out to be a first grade. It was way stronger than them..."
Obito said, he was stressed. The way he was breathing unevenly, the way his hands were shaking, it was all too clear
"So they got injured badly... We got it"
Minato whispered under his breath with a serine look on his face
It was nothing new for them. Incidents like this happen all the time. They had seen this happening all the time. They have seen so many people lose their lives like this. But it still made them sick to their stomachs to see young lives slip away
Minato and Sakumo stood there with their heads hanging low as Rin kept murmuring that it wasn't working, she couldn't heal him. It broke their hearts seeing Rin cry like that. And even though Obito wasn't crying, they could tell how it was affecting him too
Soon Rin's hands dropped, the green light from her hands stopped, tears rolled down her cheeks, her hands covered in blood
"I am sorry. I am so sorry. I can't do it. He lost too much blood."
She said, silently sobbing
Sakumo and Minato sighed
They couldn't help but feel guilty looking at the young boy beside the injured one
Soon Rin felt a small hand on her shoulder, forcing her to look back. Sakura was staring at the boy very intensely
"No... he's gonna be okay. Please move and let me handle this, Rin-nee-chan"
She said, still staring at the young boy
Minato and Sakumo looked momentarily startled hearing Sakura say that. But soon they composed themselves, knowing if someone could do something in matters like this would be only Sakura. She's the best healer after all
Rin blinked a few times to stop her tears
"You can heal him, Sakura-chan?"
Sakura just gave her a small smile and ushered her to move, which she did as fast as she could
Sakura sat where Rin was sitting, her hands started to glow green and she closed her eyes, concentrating to see what the damages were
"What are you doing? Is it really safe giving Haibara's health under a little girl's hand?"
The blonde boy said
Sakura's eyebrows twitched in irritation but she could understand his concern. This was his friend, he was seeing his friend in such a crucial condition, naturally he was being over protective. She'd do the same if she was in his place
"Don't worry, Nanami-kun. I can assure you Haibara-kun is in good hands "
Rin assured
"Yeah, Nanamin. You should get tension free now. Haibara is in the hands of the best healer in the world."
Obito said with a grin
The boy looked confused as he looked at Sakura
"This is the best healer in the world "
He thought to himself
To him, this was just a kid, a child. She looked anything but strong. With her pink hair and soft features, she looked like a baby. No older than ten that's for sure
"She... Can heal?"
He asked confusedly
Making his senpai chuckle
" I can assure you, Nanami-kun. Sakura-chan knows how to heal way better than me. She is the one who taught me how to heal properly. Don't worry, Haibara-kun will be alright "
Rin said with a soft smile
Sakura on the other hand was struggling
"Rin-nee-chan was right. He lost too much blood. His body is pretty much melted from his torso "
Sakura thought to herself
"So what are you going to do, kit? Would you let this imbalance die?"
She heard shukaku ask
"Shut up, you dumb tail! Let me do my job "
She snapped
Sakura took a few deep breaths before closing her eyes
The seal on her forehead glowed purple. Thick black marks spread on her full body. Everyone there flinched, feeling the ridiculous amount of cursed energy leaking from her, her Marks transferred to Haibara's
There were thick black marks on his body too. Both of their bodies were glowing green
"The byakugou seal."
Rin said in awe
Both Minato and Sakumo were equally shocked. But that shock turned Into awe really quickly. They watched how Haibara's wounds started to heal
From his torso, his body was basically disfigured. That also started to come together, within an hour, his bleeding stopped. Exception of a few scars, nothing was left to prove that he was so badly injured
"He's out of danger. But I will suggest him to stay in complete bed rest for at least 72 hours. He'll wake up before you can go back to your school"
Sakura said, her eyes still closed
Everyone stared at her in complete shock. It didn't even take her an hour to heal him and Rin had been trying for hours
Rin quickly went to Haibara and checked his pulse
"It's... It's a miracle! He's completely fine and healed. Like he wasn't even injured. Yokatta! He's gonna be okay"
She squealed while Sakura got up on her feet. Wably she went to Minato
"I can't walk properly.... It took too much chakra then my body can handle"
She whispered, Minato quickly took her in his arms. He kissed her on her head
"I am so proud of you, my little blossom. You did very well, rest now"
He said with like proud dad
Sakumo was still a bit shocked. He never saw anyone use the byakugou seal and certainly didn't expect to see it in action ever
But he was so incredibly proud of sakura. He felt warmth in his heart he never felt before
He gently took one of Sakura's hand on his and kissed it. Looking at her with the softest eyes
When Sakura's eyes met with his, he smiled
"You were amazing back there, sweetie. "
She smiled before feeling a tap on her shoulder. When she looked back, it was Nanami. He was smiling at her
He took her hand in his and brought it closer to his lips. As he kissed the back of her hand, Sakura's eyes went wide and a deep blush spread on her chubby baby cheeks
"I don't know how you could do so much at such a young age, but thank you so much for saving my best friend, young miss. I'll be forever in dept "
Sakura's face was so red by the time he was done speaking, Obito confused her as a tomato
Soon Obito helped Haibara and Nanami to their cars and they drove off for jujutsu high
"Oi Sakura-chan? Why do you look like that?"
Obito asked curiously
Everyone looked back at Sakura who had a silly grin on her face, a deep blush on her cheeks and a dreamy look on her face
She then whispered something under her breath.
"I didn't hear what you said, Sakura-chan. Can you come again"
Rin asked in a confused voice
"I found my husband."
Sakura said dreamily
The reactions were different
Sakumo and Obito chocked on their own spit. Rin's jaw dropped and Minato stared at her as if she'd lost her mind
"W-What?"
Minato asked again
Sakura ignored him a looked at Obito
"Oi Obibaka, who's that pretty boy? I will marry him when I grow"
Obito almost had an heart attack
"What are you saying, you crazy woman! That guy is almost a decade older than you. You've gon nutshells!"
He accused and looked like he was scared for life
Sakura for some reason, probably that she was still simping over Nanami, decided to let his words go and let Obito live
"I don't care. I will make him my husband no matter what it takes. Have you seen him? He's gorgeous"
She said with a dreamy sigh
Minato and Sakumo slapped their hands on their foreheads. Rin had a sweat drop on her face and Obito looked like he was having an existential crisis
"Are you nuts. How come you like Nanamin! That guy basically hates life. He probably hates his existence and cusses out god everyday for sending him on earth. He's an emo!"
Obito said panicking
"I like emo boys. I don't mind. "
She said back
"You sure do have a type, woman! First that emochiha, now Nanamin! I can't with you "
Obito said, throwing his hands up in surrender
Sakura just cutely giggled
"I wonder what Sakura-chan will do if she meets Gojo-kun or Geto-kun "
Rin whispered under her breath
"Don't you dare even take their names Infront of this crazy woman, Rin-chan! I need my sanity. Let me live "
Cue, Obito threw a temper tantrum
