(it genuinely took me 7 whole minutes to find a picture that would fit for the top of this chapter that I haven't already used, or can use. I am going to cry)
Tubbo's POV
"HEY RANBOO!" I whisper-yell, coming from behind the tree in front of where he's sitting.. I sat down on the right side to them.
They softly chuckled as they said "Hi Tubbo," They said in their usual comforting like voice when they talk to me, the smile being present in their voice, as they look at me. "I went to this cool café today!" I say excitedly, telling him about my day "It was called the Beloved's Café! And there was this cool looking worker! They had like cool ass long hair !! And they looked like a normal enderman.. But they had green eyes! It was so cool!" I finished ranting to him as he just stared at me with a small smile on their face, "I'll tell her that." He says with his same quiet, comforting voice, After I looked over at him. "Huh?" I say in confusion.. What'd he mean?
"That's my mother.. My family runs that place.." He softly smiles at me.. WHAT??? "Really ??" I question.. "Yeah?" He says with a tone of confusion. "Oh! Well then also tell her that the coffee was really good! And that she looks really cool !!.. Actually.. To think about it.. Why do you look like that?" I blurt out the last sentence, without thinking otherwise "..Like-.. Like what?" they ask. "You don't look like an enderman.. But.. You do?" I specify "Oh! I'm half enderman! Half.. Whatever the other half is- But my mom's an albino enderman! So.. I think that might be it..?" He answers. "Okaayy." I reply to his answer. "Well.. You look like really fucking cool!" I Follow up "..Really?" They ask "Yeah! Your eyes are so cool! One green and one red! You don't look like a normal enderman too! Your so cool!" I continue,
".. Are you a form of creature?" They ask "No! I'm a normal, normal human!" I say defending myself. ".. Are you sure?" "No... I uhm.. I'm a form.. Of goat.." I say slightly red from embarrassment ".. Do you have ears? Or horns? Wait no of course you do.. Where are they?" He asks. "Oh- uhm. well-.. They're just-" I stop myself from saying anything else at this point. I don't like being embarrassed. I just get angry- "Well- Uhm. Fuck you!" I slightly push him, as he softly laughs from it. "No- But like.. Where are they?" He re-asks "They- I hide them. My ears hide in my hair, and I hide my horns behind my crown!" I say, embarrassed by the question. I don't like them too much. My horns are way too small for an average goat my age! And my ears just honestly look weird.
".. Can I see them?" They ask.. What kinda question is that!? Of course he can't ! "No!" I answer, annoyed "Whhyyy?" He says shortly dragging out the 'h' and 'y' "Because.. I don't want to show youu themm." I reply in the same attitude, He looks at me sadly in a joking like manor. "aww." They say sadly?, Jokingly sad? .. That works, eh.
".. You like bees right?" "oh my god, oh my god, Do I?! I LOVE bees !!" I say happily, "Did you know there are about 20,000 types of bees in the world? Did you know only female bees can sting? Did you know only one bee can make 1/12 of a teaspoon of honey in their lifetime ?? Did you know it takes 556 worker bees to make a pound of honey ??" I go on a ramble about bees to Ranboo, going on for around what feels like years "Did you know honey bees have five eyes??" I say happily continuing on, "Alright.. Alright..." They checks their wrist. Wait. Huh?
"What are you doing?" I ask, "Checking what time it is..." He answers "11:44 AM.." They follow up. "How are you checking the time?" "With my watch." They reply. They show me their wrist, with a tiny clock strapped onto a band.. ".. What the fuck is that." I question him, ".... What? Y-You don't know what a watch is?" He asks, stuttering a bit. "Yeah? What the fuck is it?" I ask.. "It's like.. A portable clock.. That you can put on your wrist.." They answer. "Woah-.. That's so fuckin cool. I want one." I say. He chuckles lightly, "You can get yourself one y'know..? You are the prince?.. So you can probably get it for free!" They say ".. Y'know what. I will get one!" I say in confidence ".. Alright."
"Do you have a favourite flower?" He asks. "Pansies, they're bees favourite." I reply right after they said it. ".. What's your favourite?" I follow up, questioning. ".. Alliums" They answer. ".. I'll keep that in mind.." Right after I said that. He softly chuckles 'He laughs a lot. What's up with that?' I think to myself. "I definitely won't" He says in his same comforting like voice.. You could clearly hear his smile in his voice.. "Why?" I question them "Oh, I just.. Have issues remembering things sometimes" He replies to my question. "Oh",
".. Why do you have hair that long?" I question, another thing about his appearance "It's not that long. It just goes down to my shoulders" They answer "Yeah but like.. It's long." ".. I just like it long I guess?. I don't really have a reason? It just is-" They say. "Okaayy" I reply dragging out the 'a' and 'y' in 'okay'.
"Soo.. How about this weather, huh?" He asks "It's good." I reply, shaking from the sudden gust of wind.. Ranboo does the same, He get's his backpack he apparently 'had the whole time'. And pulls out a blanket. Putting it on themselves. ".. I want a blanket too!" I say, looking over at Ranboo. "Only have one, sorry Tubbo, Could only fit one blanket along with my other things," "Other things like what?" "Like.. A book?.. and my blanket.. And a water? " He replied "Aww. Pleeaaseeee can I have the blanket" I complain, "noooo" They says, "Pleeeeasseee" I beg. He sighs annoyed, obviously.. They hand me the blanket. "Here" .. "For me? Realllyyy?" I ask "Yes Tubbo, for you." They say, kinda annoyed "Yayyy" I say in a voice of excitement in a tired - quiet sounding voice - yawning after I stated that. Putting the blanket around me,
Ranboo rested their head on the tree behind him; Also slightly shivering from the cold weather. I looked over at them.. Contemplating what I could do, I get an idea, sliding over the grass closer to him, and re-adjusting the blanket over both of us. They look at me, confused ".. You looked cold." I said, answering to his confused silence.
We both soon after got comfortable at the position we're both in. As I looked higher at the stars, I look over to Ranboo, and one of their dark-grey freckles on the white half of their face, I trace the freckles with my pointer finger, looking back at his face, to the sky, filled with stars. His confused face came back, wondering what I was doing.. Probably. I could see a faint shade of purple appear on their face.. But it wasn't so clear. "What are you doing?" He asked, Confusion written all over his face, ".. Your freckles has the same spots of that constellation." I reply, pointing at one in the sky, "... The Phoenix constellation?" They say in a question-like manor. I nod my head frantically, "Huh.." He says looking down at the grass.
He looks back up, and looks to the left.. "Hey Tubbo?" They ask "Mhm?" I nod my head looking over to them, as he looks back at me "Ever heard of 'Wish Flowers'?" They ask me. ".. No?" I say, confused at- Whatever those are. "Well.. They're called dandelions.. But my moms always called them 'Wish Flowers'." They said. "Ohhh, dandelions... Why does your moms call them 'Wish-.. Flowers'?" I ask, recalling dandelions. They pick one up from the grass to left of him, and holds it up in front of me. "My moms always picked these.. And called them 'Wish Flowers'.. They called them that because apparently, you can make a wish with these.. And if you blow all the little seeds off, it will come true!.. It's a little stupid. But.. It's a bit of hope for people when things get hard.. After they said that, he had a warm smile on their face.. I felt my face feel a bit warmer watching him smile, this was different then last time he did. I felt comfort from them smiling.. Wonder why..,
I snap back to reality, from my thoughts.. And quickly denied their comment. "No!.. It's not stupid at all! That's.. Really cool actually." I said.. After I said that, they looked at the Dandelion-.. 'Wish Flower', in his hand. and handed it to me, "Do you want to try?" They ask... I nod, picking up the 'Wish Flower' from their hand. I looked at it... Holding it close to me. ".. You think of a wish you want to make.. And blow out all the seeds.. If they all blow out.. The wish 'apparently' comes true..." He says "But don't share it with anyone." He follows up.. "Wasn't planning on it," I shortly whisper, replying to his words. Still looking at the 'Wish Flower' I held. I thought of the wishes I would make.. One stuck in my head 'I wish we would be friends, not even friends.. I wish we would be together through everything. Forever how long this life goes on for.. No matter what.' I thought of it again.. And sighed. I closed my eyes.. Thinking of the wish.. and blowing out.. All the seeds.. I opened my eyes when I ran out of breath.
All the seeds were gone, They looked at me "Looks like your 'wish' would come true!.. Probably-.." He chuckles at the end of his sentence,.. I put down the now just stem.. laying it on the grass.. As the wind picks up again. The stem.. Flies away. I put the blanket more over me and Ranboo.. I yawn.. resting my head on their shoulder.. I could feel them tense up.. But slowly rest their shoulder as they felt more comfortable with it. I stared at the trees. As he rested their head on mine.. They slowly fell asleep. As a bit after, I soon did the same.
~ A few lovely hours of them just sleeping ~ (4:57 AM)
I wake up to an unnatural noise that sounded like an alarm. It was still quite dark out, but some sort of light was able to be seen from the sky, with the lantern almost running out of fuel to stay bright. I slowly rubbed my eyes with the palms of my hands. getting up from my sleep, soon realizing I was leaning on the tree. I looked around my surroundings to look to Ranboo, folding their blanket to put in his backpack.
he looks over to me as they heard me wake up. "Good morning" He says, in a sleepy - like voice. Almost like THEY were the one just asleep. "Hey-.." I say, midway yawning, They put the blanket in their backpack before sitting down at the tree, zipping up his backpack. "How was your sleep?" They ask me ".. Alright." I respond, they nod after my saying. "What time's it?" I ask, he looks down at his watch. ".. 5:02 AM" They say. I nod after "Thanks" I say.
".. Can you work as the cashier today in your 'café' your family owns?" I ask after.. ".. Why, Tubbo?" They respond, confused "Becauseee, I wanna go there today. And I wanna see you there!. I didn't get to last time.." I whine - "Okayy thenn-" He complies "I'll see what I can do-" They get up. "I'm going to make my way home now-" They say, as I do the same. "Okay Bye Ranboo!" I say getting up from the tree. They pick up their lantern that's almost out of fuel, and their backpack. They walk to the forest, then looking back "Bye Tubbo-" He gets cut off by me hugging him.. I don't really know why I hugged Them. I just wanted to "Bye Ranboo!" I say, He chuckles "what was the hug for?" They ask. "Just wanted to. Bye!.. Again!" I say before I run off back to the castle, and hearing a faint "Bye!" In the distance.
I climb up the wall, and climbing though the window. Taking off my shoes at my bed - and laying down to (hopefully) get a few extra hour of sleep. But I just excitedly think about the night I just had and our conversations, I think about everything I did- Before drifting off asleep..
~ 9:08 AM ~
I get up to my brother shaking me awake. "Get up." He said blandly "Breakfast is ready." he left the room to presumably go to breakfast, I groan as I get up, to get ready for the day.
