Mazikeen knocked on the door and immediately it opened to Sam and Rover smiling largely,
"MAZE!"
Mazikeen laughed as Sam hugged her, Smokescreen smiled as he stepped back to let the siblings hug. Rover immediately sat down on her shoulder and hugged her neck,
"WE MISSED YOU!"
Mazikeen laughed and patted his head and ruffled Sam's hair,
"I missed you too,"
Sam smiled,
"Happy birthday!"
Mazikeen laughed,
"Thanks,"
Sam looked behind her at Smokescreen and narrowed his eyes,
"Who is this?"
Smokescreen waved his hand nervously at him,
"Hi, I'm Axel, I work with Maze,"
Sam raised his eyebrow at his older sister, and Mazikeen immediately punched his shoulder gently,
"Shove off, he's my friend,"
Rover tilted his head,
"Maze, he is an Autobot, is he not?"
Sam's eyes widened as did Smokescreens. Mazikeen laughed and nodded,
"Yes, Sammy, this is Smokescreen, but I don't want our parents to freak out, so he's just sticking to Axel,"
Sam nodded and smiled at Smokescreen,
"Nice to meet you, Smokescreen,"
Smokescreen smiled and nodded his head,
"Likewise,"
Sam immediately grabbed Mazikeen's hand as he slowly tugged her inside,
"Come on, Dad is already starting up the barbecue,"
Mazikeen smiled,
"Okay, coming, coming,"
She quickly grabbed Smokescreen's hand and dragged him along as he was quick to match their pace. Rover smiled at him,
"Welcome to the Witwicky house, it just gets better from here,"
Smokescreen chuckled,
"Thank you, what is your name?"
"I am Rover. Mazikeen created me right before she joined the army to keep Sam company,"
Smokescreen chuckled,
"Of course,"
Mazikeen shrugged,
"What?"
Sam sighed,
"Come on,"
Mazikeen chuckled, and the four finally got to the backyard and Judy immediately walked up to them,
"Oh, Mazikeen! Happy birthday! I am so glad you could make it! And who is this young man?"
Mazikeen smiled and hugged her mother,
"Mom, this is Axel, a friend from work,"
Judy nodded and smiled,
"It is wonderful to meet you dear, you can call me Judy, oh you are handsome, Mazikeen I didn't know you were bringing your boyfriend I would have prepared more!"
Mazikeen immediately blushed, and Smokescreen's eyes widened in shock,
"Mom! This is not my boyfriend!"
Judy waved her hand in dismissal,
"Oh, you say that now, how old are you Axel? When did you meet Mazikeen? Oh, we have much to talk about, my dear,"
Smokescreen's eyes widened even more as she started dragging him to the chairs. He quickly looked at Mazikeen in alarm as she stifled a laugh,
"Oh, um. I'm 25-"
"Oh, perfect! Did you know that Mazikeen just turned 25? I am assuming that's a yes since you work with her. Tell me. Are you keeping track of her and keeping her safe? That Jazz person doesn't seem to be doing a great job, so you should make sure that she's triple safe, okay?"
Mazikeen groaned, and Sam and Rover laughed as Smokescreen's jaw dropped,
"Oh, um. She's always safe-"
"Oh, perfect! So that means that you are doing your job good. What did you get for her birthday? You should get her some jewelry. She doesn't have any other than those tech things she keeps with her,"
Ron sighed,
"Judy dear, leave the poor lass alone. You are terrifying him,"
Judy immediately looked at her husband,
"Oh, nonsense, Ron, we are just talking,"
Mazikeen sighed,
"I'm going to show Axel my room for a second. I left some things there a while back,"
Judy slowly nodded,
"Don't do anything! Dinner will be ready soon and you need to still look good for pictures!"
Mazikeen blushed and glared at her mother,
"MOM!"
Judy shrugged,
"Just making sure,"
Smokescreen immediately jumped up and was quickly next to Mazikeen,
"Let's go,"
Sam laughed,
"Come out in a few minutes. Mikaela is almost here with her cousin!"
Mazikeen nodded,
"Alright! Just text me when she's a minute away!"
Sam nodded,
"Okay,"
Rover sighed,
"Does this mean I have to get off your shoulder?"
Mazikeen laughed and shook her head,
"I'll yoink you for now,"
Rover gave her a thumbs up,
"Yoink away!"
Mazikeen chuckled and grabbed Smokescreen's hand again, and led him inside,
"Oh my sky, I am so sorry about her!"
Smokescreen chuckled and scratched the back of his neck,
"Um....yeah no problem...I just...had no idea what was going on,"
Mazikeen sighed,
"My mother has been wanting me to date for a long time. We don't have anything in common so I guess that was her way of trying? But I just know she would drill them for information. Like she did with you, and I am really sorry about that. She doesn't know I dated Eddie, only Sammy and Mik met him from my family, and I plan to keep it that way,"
"And me!"
Mazikeen chuckled,
"Yes, and Rover,"
Smokescreen nodded,
"She does not seem to really like Jazz,"
Mazikeen groaned,
"Yeah, I guess not...but it's fine, he won't have to see my mom and dad again, well, maybe my dad again. But I don't really plan on talking to my mom that much. You saw the look she gave when I said I know you from work,"
Smokescreen sighed,
"Yeah,"
"I think we all did,"
"Thank you, Rove, I love you too,"
"Awe, Love you more,"
Mazikeen laughed and patted his head,
"Did Sammy text yet?"
Rover shook his head,
"No, but Sunstreaker and Sideswipe checked in,"
Mazikeen winced,
"Oh, they must have felt-"
"Yeah, they got worried and confused,"
Mazikeen sighed,
"Yeah, what did you tell them?"
Rover cackled, which made Mazikeen and Smokescreen narrow their eyes at the tiny droid,
"Rove?"
"I may have told them that Judy thought you and Smokescreen were dating and embarrassed the two of you,"
"ROVER WITWICKY!"
Rover raised his hands in defense,
"Hey! Listen, it's better than telling other Autobots! They are your brothers too, so it's fine!"
Mazikeen groaned, and Smokescreen tilted his head,
"How did they know?"
Mazikeen glanced at Smokescreen,
"I'll explain on the way back,"
Smokescreen nodded and Rover gave Mazikeen a thumbs up,
"Okay! Time to go back down!"
Smokescreen groaned,
"Will she be calmer now?"
Rover and Mazikeen laughed, and Mazikeen patted his shoulder,
"Suuure, let's go with that,"
Smokescreen groaned,
"Frag,"
Mazikeen laughed and grabbed his hand again,
"Come on, Axel,"
Smokescreen sighed,
"Okay, okay,"
The three went back down, and Rover went over to Sam's shoulder and sat down in content. Mazikeen nudged her brother,
"So, when is my future sister-in-law getting here?"
Sam blushed and glared at her,
"In a minute, jerk,"
Mazikeen laughed and smiled at him,
"Okay, okay, good,"
Smokescreen smirked,
"Oh, I can't wait to meet her,"
Sam groaned,
"I hate both of you now,"
Mazikeen laughed, and they all turned to see Mikaela walking outside,
"I have brought the party!"
Mazikeen immediately tackled her in a hug,
"Mik!"
Mikaela laughed and hugged her back just as tight,
"Maze!"
Sam sighed and looked at Smokescreen,
"This is how it is every single time my older sister is home,"
Smokescreen laughed and nudged him,
"It's not so bad,"
Sam smiled and chuckled,
"It's not,"
Mikaela clasped her hands,
"So, I did bring two guests,"
The small family looked at her in confusion. Sam walked up to her and wrapped an arm around her shoulder,
"I thought it was just Sophie?"
Mikaela smiled and shrugged,
"Her best friend wanted to come with, since it's also her birthday and I didn't want to not bring her, ya know?"
Mazikeen smiled,
"Yeah, definitely! Bring the two out!"
Mikaela smiled brightly,
"Come on out, Alexa and Sophie!"
Two woman walk out, one with long hair with a nose piercing, and the other with blue and purple hair and short hair.
The Witwickys gasped at seeing the wild-haired woman. Mazikeen took a step forward as she stared at her,
"Alexandra?"
Alexandra gasped at seeing the family,
"H-"
Mazikeen immediately brought her into a tight hug,
"You bitch,"
Alexandra patted her back,
"N-Need a-air-"
Mazikeen finally let her go and glared at her before grabbing her ear in a tight hold,
"No call! No text! No email! No mail! We all thought you died!"
Alexandra yelped,
"Ear ear ear ear ear-"
Mazikeen scorned her,
"You could have at least sent mail to me! But nooooo! I had to find out from Sammy that your plane went up in flames! AND HERE YOU ARE!"
Alexandra winced, and everyone slowly backed away from the two females.
"Do you know how worried I was! I had to fly back home to go to your funeral! Did you know you had a funeral? We had to bury an empty coffin because no one found you!"
Alexandra yelped as Mazikeen finally let go of her ear,
"I'm sorry! I-"
"YOUR SORRY?!"
Finally, Smokescreen slowly inched his way to Mazikeen and put a hand on her shoulder,
"C-"
She immediately turned to him, and he winced when she saw the look in her eyes,
"Shush, you stay out of this,"
She then turned back to Alexandra and pointed a finger at her,
"You better have a good explanation, young lady!"
Alexandra nodded and winced,
"Yeah! I do! Honest!"
Rosalyn finally walked up and put a hand on her best friend's shoulder, and looked at the angry woman in front of them,
"Alexa was in a coma this entire time, all the way in Canada,"
That caused everyone to look closely at the two. Mazikeen spotted the bags under their eyes and she sighed,
"Come on, let's sit down,"
Smokescreen sighed silently in relief as they finally all sat down. He sat down right next to Mazikeen and Sam sat on the other side of her. Alexandra sighed,
"When I woke up, I didn't know what was going on, all I remembered was Rosalyn, so I told the doctors and they contacted her. She helped get me back here and ever since then, I have been working up the courage to speak to someone. I came back two months...I'm really sorry about everything that I put you guys in. But I needed time to adjust to being unconscious for three years of my life. I'm 19 now and I don't feel 19. It feels like time sped up, and I'm still dealing with it...But I talked to some people with Rosalyn...and I wanted to do something important that wouldn't require me having a big brain,"
Judy narrowed her eyes,
"You do have a big brain, you always did,"
Ron nodded,
"We will support you. What did you decide?"
Alexandra looked at Mazikeen in hope,
"I joined the army, Sophie and I both did,"
Everyone stopped and stared. Mikaela was even shocked as the two did not mention that to her. Mazikeen immediately stood up and shook her head,
"No."
Alexandra's jaw dropped,
"What? What do you mean no?"
Mazikeen shook her head,
"It's too dangerous,"
Alexandra's eyes narrowed at her,
"But you joined the army right at 18!"
Mazikeen crossed her arms,
"That's because I knew right at 16 what I wanted to do. It wasn't something I decided after being in a coma for four years. You have to think it over. You too, Rosalyn,"
Rosalyn frowned,
"Hey! You have no right to say no to us!"
Mazikeen stared at the two,
"Yes, I do. You aren't ready, you don't know what's out there."
Alexandra stood up and glared at her,
"And you do?! I heard the news! I read the article where you died in Qatar! Then! You fought in that weird attack in Mission City! AND! Egypt! You are still here, so why can't I fight? I have nothing to lose!"
Mazikeen clenched her first and glared at her,
"You are not ready."
"YES, I AM!"
Mazikeen shook her head,
"No. And that's final,"
Sam sighed,
"Maze-"
Mazikeen shook her head,
"Sammy, not now-"
Sam stood up and put both of his hands on her shoulder, and made her look him in the eyes,
"She's not me,"
Mazikeen closed her eyes and took a deep breath before looking at Rosalyn and Alexandra,
"Where were you posted?"
Alexandra smirked,
"NEST,"
Mazikeen's eyes widened, and she brought her hands to her face,
"Oh my sky,"
Rosalyn laughed,
"Yep! Which means that you are taking us back with you!"
Judy finally stood up,
"Not happening, nope. I will not lose another family member to the army. I am calling your mother to get you,"
Alexandra's eyes widened,
"What?! No! I have already joined! You can't just say no. Maze allowed me!"
Judy looked at her daughter with a hardened look,
"She won't,"
Mazikeen looked down and sighed,
"She's coming with me, both her and Rosa. If General Morshower already approved, you can't stop anyone,"
Judy shook her head,
"Just leave again. You always do,"
Judy walked away, and Mazikeen sighed as she felt the familiar weight on her shoulders. Ron sighed and pulled his daughter into a hug,
"It takes time,"
Mazikeen glanced at him,
"Hey, it lasted the entire dinner this time,"
Sam sighed and smiled sadly at her,
"Yeah, it did,"
Rover shook his head,
"One day karma will come,"
Mazikeen laughed and patted his head,
"Probably,"
She turned to Smokescreen and hugged him. He was taken aback but hugged her back,
"Thanks,"
"For?"
"Coming,"
Smokescreen smiled,
"Anytime, Comet,"
They separated and Mazikeen crossed her arms as she smirked at the two youngest,
"Okay, let's get going,"
Mikaela sighed as she hugged her cousin,
"Text all the time. Maze has been able to, so I better get updates,"
Rosalyn chuckled,
"I will, I promise,"
Mazikeen quickly hugged her brother and Rover,
"You two stay safe and be careful,"
Sam chuckled,
"Don't worry, we have Bee to help,"
Mazikeen nodded,
"Good, I'll say bye to him now since I did park right next to him,"
Smokescreen smirked,
"Oh, yeah, he heard everything that happened,"
Sam and Mazikeen looked at him in shock,
"What? I kept him updated on everything,"
Mazikeen sighed,
"Of course,"
They then walked over to his alt-mode next to Bumblebee and Mazikeen patted Bumblebee's hood,
"I promise to hang out more next time,"
Alexandra and Rosalyn shared a confused look,
"Are you talking to a car?"
Mazikeen laughed and looked at Smokescreen,
"Oh, they are in for a long ride,"
Smokescreen laughed,
"You got that right,"
Mazikeen opened the door for the backseat and looked at the two,
"Okay, you are in the back and you have to listen to everything I say from now on. I'm a Captain, and I'm pretty sure I'm about to be promoted,"
Smokescreen smirked,
"Cocky much?"
Mazikeen glared at him,
"Oh shut up,"
Smokescreen laughed as they all got in, and he started driving.
