Important: I'm not justifying Mubashira,s actions and I'm not trying to white wash her. It's just an assumption that why she became like this.

Warning: This chapter is unedited!!!

inline comments chahiye mujhe. Ker ke jaana 🥺

Mubashira stirred, a sleepy hum escaped her lips as she opened her eyes blinking them continuously to adjust to the sudden light. She felt a grip around herself and looked down.

A silent gasp escaped her lips as she remembered what happened yesterday.

How he trusted her, then his vulnerable confession, then the slight banter and then how he combed her hair rather affectionately, how she kept her head against his heart and drifted to sleep.

She smiled, a soft blush coloring her cheeks. She somehow managed to come out of his grip and looked at him, her heart ached as she watched him sleeping in an uncomfortable position. His neck will be sore and she was sure about it.

Zaid.

Mubashira called out softly, her hand reached out to cup his cheek with tender reverence.

He hummed sleepily but didn't wake up. Instead he moved down and laid on the bed rather comfortably.

Mubashira covered her mouth with her palm to stop the giggles bubbling within her and then covered him with the blanket and slipped out of the bed.

Mubashira stepped out of the washroom, dressed up in a dark blue Salwar kameez. She had often noticed how Zaid,s eyes lingered on her whenever she wore Salwar kameez or Saree. The glint of happiness in his eyes never went unnoticed by her. She sat in front of the table and then did minimal make-up. She walked towards him and placed a tender kiss on his forehead. Her eyes softened as she admired him for a moment.

Her heart overflowed with affection and she couldn't help but whisper

I love you.

The words were barely above a whisper but they carried the weight of her affection and growing attachment for him.

She stood up and looked at him for a moment before walking towards the door.

A soft bang was heard and then Zaid opened his eyes. His heart was pounding like a drum in his chest and his breath left him in a whoosh.

Zaid sat up. His breath coming out in short gasps. He palmed his mouth, his eyes heavy.

Am I seriously...

He trailed off, unsure about his feelings.

Per kaise? Bachpan se Mubashira se nafrat ki hai maine toh ab yeh sab....

His tongue left the power to speak. He gulped the lump that formed in his throat.
A mixture of conflicting emotions enveloped him. He couldn't bring himself to accept the truth.

Aagh mera sar.

He held his head with a groan. There was a war in between his heart and mind. He couldn't help but feel frustrated and a sigh escaped him.

Evening

After the office time. He found himself sipping on his tea

Mr Jafar asked Zaid sitting beside him on the other chair.

Zaid smiled looking up at Mr Jafar.

Mubashira ke bare mein soch raha tha.

Zaid confessed, his voice barely above a whisper.

Mr Jafar smiled, a glint of understanding evident in his eyes.

Kya soch rahe thy Mubashira ke bare mein?

Mr Jafar asked with a soft smile. At least there's someone who is thinking about his daughter.

Zaid looked at Mr Jafar, a glint of curiosity mingled with excitement evident in his eyes

Usko kya pasand hai?

Jaan ker kya faida. Usse jo pasand tha sab chor dia usne

Mr Jafar said, his shoulders slumping down, an expression of clear defeat crossing his features.

Jafar uncle.

Zaid called out placing his tea mug on the table and then placed a hand on his shoulder in a desperate attempt to provide some comfort to him.

Mubashira ko baki bachon ki tarah choti choti cheezon ka shok tha, gajre aur chote chote stalls per chudiyan dekh ker uske chehre per jo chamak aati thi na woh priceless hoti thi per uski maa ko yeh bilkul pasand nahin tha.

Mr Jafar said, his voice carried a hint of nostalgia as he looked at Zaid.

Aur Mubashira ne chor dia kyunke usse apni mom ki khushi chahiye thi.

Zaid completed rather confidently because he had faced a similar situation where he had to choose between his dream and the happiness of his father.

Haan.

Mr Jafar said, a note of tiredness coloring his tone.

Mubashira ki mother carrier oriented thi. Usko Mubashira nahin chahiye thi woh kehti thi ke usse apna carrier banana hai. Jab usse pata chala woh pregnant hai tab woh apne 3rd month main thi. Woh abortion kerwana chahati thi but I stopped her kyunke mujhe Mubashira chahiye thi, usne kaha ke woh apne carrier pe focus kerna chahati hai. Per phir bhi mujhe umeed thi ke jis pal woh Mubashira ko apni bahon main legi uska dil mamta se bhar jayega par nahin.

A note of bitterness colored his tone at the end.

Usne Mubashira ko dekha tak nahin.

Zaid gulped the lump that formed in his throat imagining the scenario.

Mubashira 4 years ki thi aur apni mom ka wait kerti thi. Usko jab bhi kehna ke Mubashira beta khana kha lo aur so jao mumma ayegi toh phir baat ker lena per nahin woh kehti thi

Mumma ayengi phir khaungi.

Aur Mubashira wait kerte kerte so jati thi.

Zaid,s heart felt heavy with the weight of Mr Jafar,s words. He can imagine a child Mubashira innocently looking at the clock with hope lurking somewhere deep in her eyes and blinking her eyes again and again to fight the tug of sleep but then give in when it became too much.

Jab Mubashira 9 saal ki thi toh woh uss aurat ke paas gayi thi taki woh usse apne marks bata sake uss din meri aur uski maa ki bahot ladai hui kyunke maine usko tang aa ker poocha tha ke woh Mubashira ko time degi, maa ka pyaar degi ya nahin? She said ke usko Mubashira chahiye hi nahin thi aur woh apna time ek fazool bachi per barbad nahin kerna chahati jo kuch nahin ker sakti. woh rayan se bahot mohabbat kerti thi kyunke woh beta tha per mujhse yeh bardasht nahin hua ke Mubashira ko woh ignore kare. Believe me Zaid woh Mubashira ko dekh ker aise react kerti thi jaise Mubashira exist hi nahin kerti. Uss raat jab humari fight hui aur maine uako talak dia toh Mubashira wahan per aayi uss aurat ne Mubashira ko bahot Kuch kaha jiski wajah se Mubashira aaj bhi depression mein hai

Mr Jafar said, his voice trembling with pain.

Zaid let out a trembling breath. His chest tightened, his throat almost closed and a shiver raced down his spine.

Zaid couldn't breathe now. Although they were out in the open, Zaid felt as if he was caged, caged in a small box. He felt his breathing rising and his eyes watering hearing Mubashira,s suffering but he forced himself to maintain a calm facade.

Aur phir jab Mubashira aayi toh uss aurat ne Mubashira ko kaha ke kaash woh paida hi na hui hoti, Mubashira uski sabse badi galti hai aur yeh ke Mubashira kuch nahin ker sakti, koi uske paas rehna nahin chahega. Usne Mubashira ko yeh bataya ke woh nafrat kerti hai Mubashira se.

Each word hit Zaid like a physical blow. He felt his heart being twisted rather painfully in his chest and then he gasped. Tears stinging at the corners of his eyes. His heart ached for Mubashira.

Koi maa aisa kaise keh sakti hai apni hi beti ko? Betiyan toh khuda ki rehmat hoti hain uncle.

Zaid exclaimed, his voice trembling slightly as he gulped the lump that formed in his throat. Tears welling up in his eyes.

Mubashira toot gayi Zaid. Bikhar gayi meri beti. Aur usne khud ko room mein band ker liya.

Mr Jafar said remembering how Mubashira,s face had crumbled hearing her mother,s harsh and heartbreaking words and then how she had ran to her room palming her mouth and then how she had locked herself in a room.

Uss din MJ aayi. Woh MJ jo stoic thi, jiske andar main thi. Meri beti ko khatam ker dia uss aurat ne. Uss din woh Mubashira khatam ho gayi jo apni maa se mohabbat kerti thi, woh Mubashira khatam ho gayi jo intezar kerti thi ke kab meri maa aaye aur mujhe pyaar se khana khilaye. Per aisa kabhi hua hi nahin.

Mr Jafar,s voice trembled with pain as he looked up at Zaid with tear-filled eyes.

Zaid,s heart was trembling in his chest hearing Mr Jafar. He couldn't even imagine Mubashira,s sufferings, the pain she went through and still managed to come out stronger. She was a true lioness.

However Zaid couldn't see Mr Jafar crying and pulled him into a hug in an attempt to provide some comfort to him. Mr Jafar hugged him back and cried.

And I failed as a father. I failed Zaid. I couldn't protect my child.

The sight of Mr Jafar crying had shaken Zaid to the core. He couldn't help but feel tears welling up in his eyes. Zaid reached out, gently holding Mr Jafar,s hand, he spoke

Nahin Jafar uncle kuch galtiyan hone ka matlab yeh nahin hota ke insaan fail ho gaya hai. I agree that people couldn't understand Mubashira aur shayad due to lack of understanding and love woh aisi bani hai. But now she has changed.

Zaid,s voice was a mixture of tenderness, understanding and sincerity. He didn't knew how to comfort the old man in front of him. He wasn't too good with words but he hoped that Mr Jafar will understand what he means.

They pulled away and Mr Jafar nodded his head in positive, a glimmer of understanding evident in his eyes.

Zaid looked at Mr Jafar and spoke, his voice filled with a mixture of sincarity and affection for Mubashira

Uncle Mubashira kya thi woh matter nahin kerta. Mubashira kya hai woh matter kerta hai and I can assure you ke Mubashira badal gayi hai.

Mr Jafar looked at Zaid and breathed deeply. He placed a hand on Zaid,s shoulder and smiled.

Main dekh sakta hoon Zaid. Woh badal gayi hai kyunke woh mohabbat kerti hai tumse.

Mr Jafar said softly with a smile on his face. Zaid smiled, his heart fluttering in his chest like a caged bird and he nodded his head in positive, a genuine smile spread across his face. He couldn't deny the sincarity of the statement.

Zaid woh tumhare sath waise rehne ki koshish ker rahi hai jaisi woh hai kyunke woh bharosa kerti hai tumpe. Bas uska bharosa mat todna. Already jo lafz Mohib ne usko kahe woh...

Mr Jafar trailed off, his voice quivering with emotion.

Zaid looked up.

Kya kaha Mohib ne usko?

Zaid asked, his hands clenching into fists at his sides as a mix of anger and protectiveness flooded through his heart.

Usne Mubashira ko kaha ke usse koi mohabbat nahin karega, usne kaha ke Mubashira ki shadi kamiyab nahin hogi, agar woh 100 dafa shadi karegi toh usse 100 dafa talak hogi.

Mr Jafar spoke, his voice trembling as he remembered Mubashira,s condition, the depression in her voice, the vulnerability had shaken him to the core.

Zaid was controlling his tears. He felt his heart bleeding. The pain etched across his features. He let out a trembling breath trying to compose himself and spoke trying to keep his voice steady

Aisa nahin hoga uncle. Mubashira ki shadi nahin tootegi. Main Mubashira ko kabhi nahin chorunga. I won't leave her, usko kabhi talak nahin doonga.

Zaid said, his voice a mixture of sincarity and love for Mubashira.

Mr Jafar looked at Zaid and wiped his tears.

Yeh tum Koi ehsaan samajh ker toh nahin ker rahe na?

Mr Jafar asked, his protectiveness evident.

Zaid smiled softly.

Nahin Jafar uncle main Mubashira ko kabhi nahin chorunga. Iss liye nahin ke main chor nahin sakta, balki iss liye kyunke main usse chorna nahin chahata.

Zaid said softly, his voice filled with sincarity.

Kyun?

Mr Jafar asked, a knowing smile dancing on his lips.

Kyunke Mubashira meri zindagi ka bahot important hissa ban gayi hai. Woh hissa jo ab mujhe acha lagta hai.

Zaid said, his voice filled with sincarity.

Mohabbat kerte ho usse?

Mr Jafar asked with a soft smile.

Shayad.

Zaid replied softly.
