Although Omar had plans to enjoy his time in London, ultimately he was there for work. In the coming days, he was set to finalize a deal with a renowned British-owned lifestyle brand worth millions. He was also set to sit for an interview and do a photoshoot for the male-targeted publication GQ. There had also been whispers of an official call out from a boxer in Manchester, but he knew better than to hold his breath.

Ahead of both, Omar had spent the day before in back-to-back meetings.

"I need your lawyer skills for a second," Omar said as he walked into the living room, making Avery smirk.

"What did you do?" Avery joked teasingly.

"I beat up some pussy last night," Omar responded, humoring her.

Avery rolled her eyes but couldn't help but chuckle at Omar's crude sense of humor. "You're impossible, you know that?" she said, shaking her head.

Omar laughed and sat down next to her on the couch. "No, seriously though, I need you to look over this contract for me. It's for the deal I'm finalizing tomorrow," he said, handing her a thick stack of papers.

Avery raised an eyebrow as she skimmed through the document. "Wow, this is a big one. Are you sure you've read through all of this?"

Omar shrugged. "I'm more of a 'big picture' kind of guy. That's where you come in, Ms. Attention to Detail," he said with a grin.

"I usually get paid for this," Avery sighed playfully, taking the documents so she could read through them carefully.

Omar had dealt with a few career women before, but he was in awe as he watched Avery read through the contract.

"Whoever drew this up isn't trying to exploit you or your brand. In my opinion, this contract is incredibly fair and beneficial for both parties," Avery explained once she'd finished reading through the terms.

Omar nodded in approval. "That's good to hear. I trust your judgment, Avery," he said sincerely. "I appreciate you taking the time to do this for me."

Avery smiled and handed back the contract. "Just looking out for my new favorite client," she teased.

"Care to join your favorite client in the shower? I was thinking we could get ready and head out," Omar said as he stood up, holding his hand out for Avery to take.

Omar gently lifted Avery from her chair and guided her towards their bedroom, where they both changed out of their sleepwear before heading to the bathroom.

"I'm taking you somewhere later on tonight," Omar said as the sound of running water filled the space around them.

"Are you going to tell me where or keep it to yourself?" Avery smirked up at him knowingly, her wet hair slick against her head.

As Omar gazed down at Avery, he couldn't help but feel grateful for her presence. Their friendship was built on lust, but with each moment he spent with her, Omar found that he was connecting with her mentally and emotionally.

He enjoyed her conversation and her views on the world. He enjoyed being the man to hold her attention and fulfil her desires.

It was part of the reason he accepted her playful invite and attended her mother's birthday party. After only weeks of knowing her, Omar wanted to see who and what made Avery, Avery.

"I'm taking you to brunch at one of my favorite spots out here, that's all you're getting from me for now," Omar smiled as he leaned down, pressing his lips to Avery's.

Humming into his mouth, she placed her hands on his muscular chest. Avery stood on her tiptoes as she took over the kiss, her tongue lapping at Omar's as his hands went around her waist.

Deepening the kiss, Omar's hands trailed down Avery's back as they stood under the warm water. The steam filled the bathroom, creating a cozy and intimate atmosphere between them.

Pulling herself away from temptation personified, Avery turned her back to Omar so she could bathe herself as he continued to watch her with a soft smile on his face.

As they finished showering and got ready for their day ahead, Omar couldn't help but feel a sense of contentment in Avery's presence.

As they left the house and walked the short distance to the car parked waiting outside for them, Omar took Avery's hand into his. Allowing her to get into the car first, Omar climbed in behind her.

They'd been in London for two days, and Avery still found herself smiling ear to ear as she watched the city pass through the car window.

As soon as Avery entered the restaurant, she instantly saw why it held a special place in Omar's heart. Her heart fluttered with excitement as she made her way to the large window that offered a stunning view of the city below. Directly across from them was the historical Saint Paul's Cathedral, a place she'd only ever seen in pictures.

"It's beautiful, right?" Omar asked as he came to stand behind her, placing his hand on her hip as he joined Avery to take in London's beauty.

"Breathtaking," Avery responded just above a whisper.

"Our table is ready," Omar murmured into her ear, his warm breath sending a chill down her spine as she turned to face him.

Taking Omar's hand, she allowed him to walk her over to their table.

The brunch was delicious, and the conversation flowed effortlessly between them. Avery couldn't help but feel grateful for the time she was spending with Omar. She felt comfortable and happy in his presence.

After brunch, Omar took Avery on a spontaneous walk through the city, showing her some of his favorite spots and hidden gems he'd unearthed over the years. They laughed and talked, enjoying each other's company more and more with each passing moment.

"This is dreamy," Avery gushed as they stood in the middle of a Victorian-era orangery. Hyde Park was everything she thought it would be, even in the middle of the winter.

Omar smiled as he watched her take in the beauty of the park. "I'm glad you're enjoying it," he said softly, his gaze lingering on her face. Avery turned to him and smiled.

"Thank you for inviting me, Omar," Avery smiled as she reached up, bringing Omar's face down to hers so she could kiss him.

"Thank you for coming," he smiled as he pulled away. "Although you almost didn't, you never did tell me why."

"I had a disagreement with Brooke about you," Avery revealed, her stomach flipping as she explained to Omar the reason why she initially stood him up at the airport.

"Me... why?" Omar frowned.

"She asked me if I was going to run behind you every time you call," Avery explained.

Omar's frown deepened as he processed Avery's words. "What did you say to that?" he asked, his curiosity piqued.

Avery sighed, looking down at her hands. "I didn't know what to say, Omar. I was caught off guard. I didn't want to admit that I..." Avery stopped, her eyes widening as she almost let her true feelings slip.

"That you what, Avery?" Omar asked, looking into her eyes.

Avery took a deep breath before continuing, "I didn't want to admit that I have feelings for you. That I care about you more than I should."

Omar's expression softened as he reached out to cup Avery's face gently. "Avery, you don't have to hide your feelings from me. I care about you," he said, his voice soft and filled with sincerity.

"For me it's about more than just caring about one another," Avery sniffled as her eyes began to fill with tears. This was the very things she'd been trying to avoid. With feelings came emotions and subsequently, emotional baggage.

"Tell me," Omar said as he wiped away a tear that had started to make it's journey down Avery's cheek.

Avery took a shaky breath before speaking. "I...I made a promise to myself I wouldn't. The night we met in Turks and Caicos was me doing that, we weren't supposed to end up here. I wasn't supposed to end up feeling the way I do."

Omar's heart ached as he listened to Avery's words. He could see the vulnerability in her eyes, the fear of being hurt again. He knew that he had the power to break down her walls or build them higher.

"Avery, I understand your fears. I won't push you into anything you're not ready for," Omar said softly, his thumb caressing her cheek. "But please know that I feel the same way. I didn't plan on falling for you either, but here we are."

Avery looked up at Omar, her eyes searching his for any sign of deceit. But all she found was honesty and sincerity.

"I don't want to lose what we have, Omar. I just don't know how to navigate these feelings," Avery admitted, her voice barely above a whisper.

Omar pulled her into a warm embrace, holding her close as he whispered, "We'll figure it out together, Avery. I promise to be patient and understanding. We can take it one step at a time."

As they stood in the midst of Hyde Park, surrounded by the beauty of nature and the warmth of their connection, Avery felt a sense of peace wash over her. She knew that with Omar by her side, she could face whatever challenges lay ahead.

By the time they made it back to the house, the sun had set and evening was upon them. Although it was only a little after 5 pm, Avery made her way up to the bedroom to lay down for a nap, the emotion of the day tiring her out.

When Avery's eyes fluttered open, she had no idea what time it was, but the bedroom was engulfed in darkness and Omar wasn't on the bed beside her.

Getting up, Avery stretched her arms above her head as she let out a yawn  She made her way downstairs, following the faint sound of music coming from the living room. As she entered the room, she found Omar standing by the record player, a soft smile on his face as he flipped through albums.

"Hey, you're awake," Omar said, turning to face her. "I was just picking out some music for us to listen to."

Avery walked over to him, wrapping her arms around his waist. "What are we listening to?" she asked, looking at the albums in his hands.

"I thought some jazz would be nice for the evening," Omar said, selecting an album and placing it on the record player before gently guiding Avery to the couch.

As the music filled the room, Avery snuggled into Omar's side, feeling a sense of peace and contentment wash over her. She closed her eyes, letting the soothing melodies lull her into a state of relaxation.

"Have I ever given you the impression I don't want you?" Omar asked, his hand coming to rest on Avery's thigh as he held her petite body in his arms.

Sitting up, Avery leaned her head back, welcoming Omar's lips on hers as he kissed her sweetly, with one hand on her waist and the other on the small of her back, he pulled her into his lap.

"It's a little too late to cook or go out to eat, but there are a bunch of takeout options to choose from," Omar said in between kisses, making Avery smirk.

"Why are you thinking about food when I'm kissing you?" she asked playfully as she pulled away from Omar's lips. His hands rested on her ass as he looked into her eyes, a lazy smile playing on his lips.

"Because I have to feed you before anything else," Omar smirked.

Avery chuckled at Omar's response, feeling a surge of warmth in her chest at his thoughtfulness. "Well, in that case, I'm in the mood for some Thai food. How does that sound?" she suggested, her eyes twinkling with excitement.

Omar grinned, his eyes lighting up with amusement. "Thai it is then. Tell me what you want and I'll make it happen," he said, pressing yet another kiss to her lips.

Avery leaned in, kissing Omar softly before pulling away to give him her order as he pulled out his phone. As they waited for the food to arrive, they chatted and laughed, enjoying each other's company in the quiet of the evening.

When the food finally arrived, they set up a cozy picnic on the living room floor, surrounded by candles and the soft glow of the record player. They fed each other bites of Pad Thai and spring rolls, their laughter filling the room as they shared stories and jokes.

As they finished their meal, Avery found herself leaning into Omar's chest, feeling safe and content in his arms. She realized that despite the uncertainty and fear that came with opening her heart, being with Omar felt right.

As the night wore on, they danced in the living room to the jazz music playing in the background, their bodies swaying together in perfect harmony. And in that moment, Avery knew that she had found something special in Omar – a connection that went beyond lust and desire, a connection that was worth trying for.

And so, as they danced the night away, Avery made a silent promise to herself to embrace the unknown and take a chance on the unknown. With Omar everything just felt natural and right. And for the first time in a long time, Avery felt truly at peace.

As the evening grew later, Avery cleaned up the mess they made before leading the way back upstairs to the bedroom.

Avery and Omar kissed and touched playfully as they fell into the sheets, their playful touches turning into lust filled groping and it wasn't before long that Omar found himself between Avery's thighs.

"Baby, it's too much," Avery moaned as she attempted to push his mouth away from her, as he feasted like she was the first meal his lips had touched and his tongue tasted in years.

Instead of heeding her, Omar grabbed both of her hands with one of his, holding them tight as he continued his assault on her pussy.

Warm tears rolled down Avery's cheeks as her eyes rolled back and she cried out, her back arching from the bed as Omar's relentless ministrations brought her to the brink of ecstasy.

"Let me eat," Omar grumbled against her core, before flicking the tip of his tongue against her clit.  Avery's body shook with pleasure, her breath hitching with each touch of Omar's tongue.

"I want you so fucking bad," Omar groaned against Avery's core, making her cry out as her body trembled with desire. With a swift motion, Omar positioned himself between Avery's legs, his eyes locked on hers as he entered her, filling her completely.

Avery gasped at the sensation, her eyes widening with pleasure as Omar began to move within her, setting a rhythm that was both passionate and intense. Their bodies moved together in perfect harmony, their connection deepening with every thrust.

The room was filled with the sound of their moans and the creaking of the bed, the air thick with the scent of their desire. Avery clung to Omar, her nails digging into his back as she arched into him, her pleasure building with each movement.

As they reached the peak of their passion, their bodies entwined in a symphony of ecstasy. Avery's breath hitched as she felt the wave of pleasure crash over her, her body trembling with the intensity of their connection. Omar's movements became more urgent, his gaze locked onto hers as they reached the pinnacle of their shared desire.

With a final, powerful thrust, they both tumbled over the edge, their cries of release mingling in the air. In that moment of pure bliss, Avery felt a deep sense of intimacy and connection with Omar, a bond that went beyond the physical.

As they lay entwined in each other's arms, their bodies still humming with the aftershocks of their sex, Avery knew that she had found something special with Omar.

In that moment, Avery knew that she had taken a chance worth taking, and she was grateful for the deep connection she shared with Omar. Their story was just beginning, and she couldn't wait to see where it would lead them next.

Welp, everything is out in the open. 😮‍💨

Is Avery wrong for feeling the way she does? After all, Omar isn't her ex. 🤔
