Tex jumped onto the bed to wake Mazikeen and Jazz up. Mazikeen shot up and groaned,
"Tex!"
"Yes, mother?"
"Why?"
Jazz groaned,
"Sparklings,"
Tex smiled,
"Prime has requested you,"
Mazikeen nodded,
"Okay, tell him that I will be right there,"
"Okay,"
Mazikeen quickly went into the bathroom and got into her uniform. She left and saw Jazz waiting outside for her,
"You know, you don't have to stay here, right?"
Jazz shrugged,
"I can take you to Prime's room,"
Mazikeen chuckled,
"Okay, but step on it,"
He chuckled and opened the door for her,
"Just hop in, lil M,"
Mazikeen smiled and jumped into his car, it took them two minutes before they were outside Optimus's room. Mazikeen stepped out and patted his hood,
"See you later,"
Jazz transformed and nodded,
"Stay out of trouble,"
Mazikeen smirked at him,
"Sure,"
She walked up to the door and knocked,
"Optimus!"
Optimus opened the door and smiled at her,
"Hello, Mazikeen,"
Mazikeen crossed her arms,
"Optimus, what have we talked about,"
Optimus put down his servo, and she climbed onto it,
"Apologies, Maze. I have been preoccupied with matters,"
Mazikeen sighed and nodded,
"The gov?"
Optimus nodded and set her down on his table before sitting,
"Yes, they do not trust us, some want us to leave Earth, others want us to stay,"
Mazikeen sighed,
"And some want your technology,"
Optimus nodded,
"Unfortunately, yes,"
Mazikeen nodded,
"I have gotten a few emails and letters asking for my own technology...then a lot about your Cybertronian tech. I'm sorry, Optimus...I wish humans were different,"
Optimus nodded his head,
"I know you wish that. I am thankful that all of the soldiers here seem to be accustomed to us,"
Mazikeen nodded,
"They definitely have."
Optimus looked at her,
"Do you believe that if humans were to see us in our holo-forms, that they would be able to feel comfortable around us?"
Mazikeen shrugged,
"Possibly? I mean...only a few have, such as Will, Epps, and Eddie...well, and Aura,"
Optimus nodded,
"Can you explain to me some human customs for interactions?"
Mazikeen nodded,
"Turn on your holo-form,"
Optimus transformed into his alt-form, and a tall man in a red and blue letterman jacket emerged.
Mazikeen whistled,
"Looking fantastic, Optimus,"
Optimus smiled and nodded,
"Thank you, Maze,"
He walked up to her,
"So, what is the first thing?"
Mazikeen smiled and stuck out her hand,
"Hello, my name is Mazikeen Witwicky. What is your name?"
Optimus looked at her hand. He grabbed it and shook it with a tight grasp,
"Hello, Mazikeen, my name is Optimus Prime, I am a part of the race called Cybertronians from-"
"Okay, pause,"
Optimus tilted his head,
"What did I do wrong?"
Mazikeen let go of his hand and chuckled,
"Optimus, just state your name,"
Optimus frowned,
"But how would the human know that I am a Cybertronian?"
Mazikeen smiled and patted his shoulder,
"If the human is a part of the government, they most likely already know. If they don't know, they should not find out,"
Optimus slowly nodded,
"Okay,"
Mazikeen smiled and stuck out her hand again,
"Hello, my name is Mazikeen Witwicky. What is your name?"
Optimus shook her hand,
"My name is Optimus Prime,"
Mazikeen smiled,
"Great! And then just say it's nice to meet you,"
"My name is Optimus Prime. It is nice to meet me,"
Mazikeen stared at him and facepalmed. Optimus frowned,
"What?"
Mazikeen sighed,
"Don't you have some form of greeting on Cybertron???"
Optimus shrugged,
"It does not translate well into Earth languages,"
Mazikeen nodded,
"Okay, I'll pretend I am you for one sec-"
"Why?"
"Sh,"
Optimus nodded, and Mazikeen smiled at him,
"My name is Optimus Prime. It is nice to meet you,"
Optimus nodded,
"Hello, Mazikeen, my name is Optimus Prime. It is nice to meet you,"
Mazikeen smiled and clapped,
"Good job! Okay! So we got greetings down. I think just being yourself is good, just relax,"
Optimus nodded,
"Okay...we are also gaining a new medical recruit,"
Mazikeen tilted her head,
"Autobot?"
Optimus shook his head,
"No, human medic...that will work closely with Jolt and Ratchet. I was informed of this yesterday after Athena came,"
Mazikeen nodded,
"Okay, also! You have to be aware that some people prefer a different name,"
Optimus frowned,
"Such as you preferring Maze?"
Mazikeen nodded,
"Yes, but some only want to be called by their nickname, Athena will only listen if you call her Aura,"
Optimus slowly nodded,
"I do not fully understand, but I will do my best,"
Mazikeen patted his shoulder and smiled at him,
"I know you will, Optimus. We will be getting a load of human recruits in three days. When they come, I'll get everyone assigned to a squad,"
Optimus nodded,
"Good, assign Bluestreak with patient humans,"
Mazikeen laughed,
"Because he talks a lot?"
Optimus winced and nodded,
"Yes, he has...a young soul, as you say,"
Mazikeen smiled at him and nodded,
"Yeah, I can tell. Did you tell Ratchet yet?"
Optimus looked at her,
"I was hoping you would,"
Mazikeen laughed and nodded,
"Okay, but if I get whacked by a wrench, it will be your fault,"
Optimus smiled and nodded,
"I am sure he will not. He does seem to enjoy your company,"
Mazikeen smirked,
"Nice buttering up,"
Optimus tilted his head,
"Buttering up?"
"Oh, it is like...well...sucking up, uh...being nice so someone does something for you?"
Optimus slowly nodded,
"Okay...in that case...yes, I am sucking up to you?"
Mazikeen laughed and nodded,
"Yes, yes, you are. Catch ya later!"
"Bye, Maze,"
Mazikeen walked out of the door and was met by Smokescreen,
"Oh, hey, Smokescreen!"
Smokescreen looked down and smiled at her,
"Hey, Mazikeen,"
"You can call me Maze,"
Smokescreen nodded,
"So, what are you doing?"
Mazikeen winced,
"Giving Ratchet bad news,"
Smokescreen tilted his head,
"Bad news?"
Mazikeen shrugged,
"Well, his definition of bad news,"
Smokescreen smiled,
"Can I come with you?"
Mazikeen laughed,
"Sure, give me a lift,"
Smokescreen tilted his head,
"I thought that people do not like being lifted?"
Mazikeen smiled,
"Well, if they ask you to, yes, you can. But! Only if they ask, the only one that you can lift onto your shoulder is me though, anyone else you have to transform,"
"Why?"
Mazikeen smiled and took out Phoenix from her pocket,
"Because if I get pushed off of one of you, then Phoenix will save me from falling to my death,"
Smokescreen nodded and put his servo down,
"That makes sense...when will we get a mission?"
Mazikeen smiled at him and patted his shoulder as he placed her on it,
"Well, you have to wait for a while as things cool down,"
"What needs to be cooled down?"
Mazikeen sighed,
"Well, some people are very hesitant right now. We know Megatron and Starscream are out there somewhere, but the last big battle that took place in Egypt? Lots of damage and casualties were deep. I have more paperwork to do before anything happens. Also, we have new human recruits coming, and you will be assigned to a squad,"
"I get my own team to boss?"
Mazikeen laughed and shook her head,
"No, the only ones bossing any humans around are the General, Commander, and two Captains. The General is General Morshower, William Lennox is the Commander, and Robert Epps is my Co-Captain. You will be a part of the squad, working side by side with them,"
"Okay, you got it, boss,"
Mazikeen chuckled,
"Just be kind to everyone, don't do anything stupid, okay?"
Smokescreen smirked,
"I never do anything stupid,"
Mazikeen looked at him and smirked,
"We will see about that, let's go inside,"
They arrived outside the medical bay, and Smokescreen shrugged and immediately opened the door,
"Ratc-"
He ducked as a wrench went flying past his face,
"HEY!"
Mazikeen burst out laughing as she held onto his shoulder. Smokescreen gasped and pointed his digit at her,
"You set me up!"
Mazikeen laughed as Phoenix encased her, and she flew up,
"Me? No,"
Ratchet sighed,
"Maze,"
Mazikeen looked at Ratchet and landed on the table near Jolt,
"I need to tell you something, and you can't get mad,"
Ratchet narrowed his optics at her,
"What did you do this time?"
Mazikeen's helmet went back down, and she smiled at him,
"So...Jolt, cover me right now with your servo, please,"
Jolt raised his servos high,
"Nope, don't drag me into this one, Maze,"
Mazikeen frowned,
"Damn,"
Smokescreen slowly backed up,
"Yeah, I'm going to g-"
"Nope! You stay right there,"
Smokescreen sighed as he listened to Mazikeen. Ratchet frowned,
"What happened?"
"You...you are getting a human medic that will work closely with you and Jolt-"
"WHAT?!!!!!!!!"
Mazikeen winced as he yelled. Mazikeen raised her hands,
"Listen, listen! We need another human medic! Eddie can only do in the field things, that is his duty, and Jolt is with his team. We need someone at the base 24/7 in case someone gets injured here, and Eddie is not here. We all have some background in Medicine, but not as much as you three. So, you will have to be careful around here. I'll make her a little shield, too, just in case."
Ratchet sighed,
"Fine."
Mazikeen smiled and flew up to him and hugged his chassis,
"Thank you!"
Ratchet sighed and softly patted her head with his digit,
"You are welcome, now. Go do your inventing job. check in later, okay?"
Mazikeen nodded,
"You got it!"
She flew over to Smokescreen,
"Come on, now it is time for us to go,"
Jolt chuckled,
"See you later, Maze,"
"See ya!"
