Ashton POV
The boys and I decided to fool around and prank a bodyguard after the concert.
The rest of the boys were laughing and could barely control their cans of silly string. I, on the other hand - I felt like I was in Call of Duty.
As we were running away from the bodyguards towards the dressing rooms, there was a fork in the hallway and I was separated from the boys, still running towards the dressing rooms. As I came closer to the door, I slowed down. I heard what sounded like a couple of girls laughing, then it became silent and I heard the other door slam shut. I pretended that I hadn't heard anything when I walked in; probably some crazy fangirls in our dressing room. Nothing out of the usual. I made a mental note to call security after I had flirted a little and gotten their hopes up.
But when I entered the room and shut the door, I saw the back of a girl's head, eating my spaghetti.
Some random fangirl literally sat down in my seat and ate my food.
"What are you doing with my spaghetti?"
She jumped out of her seat and turned a tomato red.
"Yeah, uh, I kinda...had a brainfart?" she stuttered. "Um, you know when you're really hungry and you just have to eat something and you just take the first thing you see, not wondering whether it belongs to someone?" Whoever she was, she was seriously stupid. But I could tell she was a fan from the way that she blushed when she saw me. Great, stupid and crazy.
"How could you not know it was mine? Who actually leaves out a plate of spaghetti for no reason?" I was fuming. In the back of my mind, I concluded that one of the crew had known that I would be hungry and made some spaghetti. And right well they should have known. But this girl had to come and eat some random pesron's spaghetti? How stupid could you be?
I saw tears in her eyes. "I'm sorry," she said quietly, "I'll just leave now. It was nice meeting you Ashton," she said with subtle sarcasm. She was trying to guilt me, but it didn't work. At this point, I was furious.
"Wait," I said in mock-sympathy.
She turned around and I could see the hope in her brown eyes.
"You need to meet the rest of the boys," I said smoothly, with a devious plan in my head.
"Really?" she said, sounding excited, yet suspicious at the same time, "I seriously didn't know it was your plate, Ashton. If I had known it was anyone's plate, I wouldn't have eaten it. It's just that spaghetti is my favorite food."
"Small world," I said, sounding interested, when really I would have rather scraped my nails against chalkboard than be around her. "It's my favorite food too."
I pulled out the chair for her to sit in, like a gentleman would.
"I hope you don't mind, but my friend is here too. She just had to go use the restroom. She said she'll be right back."
"No, I don't mind," I said. She looked relieved. I could tell she was still being catious around me, though.
We heard voices coming down the hall. The door was then opened by Calum, leading in another girl who I guessed was Spaghetti-Stealer's friend.
That reminded me, "I never did get your name," I said, charmingly.
"Oh. Ashley," she said smiling, holding her hand out for me to shake.
"Ashton," I said, shaking her hand. I must have said something funny, because next thing I knew, she was giggling madly. When I asked her what was so funny, she only giggled more. I had to admit, her laugh was contagious. For only a second, it made me forget about the fact that she ate my food.
"I know who you are silly," she said. "Why else would I be here?"
"So does that mean that you have to burst out in laughter about it?" I said, looking at her like she was crazy. "Wait!" I said in realization, "I know who you are! You're that crazy chick who was screaming about our names matching."
She lightly blushed, "Guilty."
"That was probably the funniest thing a fan has ever said to me! Wait," I paused, "you are a fan, right?" Murder me and my great acting skills.
She blushed a deeper shade, "Yeah...um...you could say that."
"Well, it looks like you two got chummy," Ashley's friend said, looking like she would either cry or barf.
Calum decided to introduce us. "Al, this is Ashton. Ashton," he then turned to me, "this is Al."
"Hi," Al said breathlessly.
I saw Luke and Michael down the hall. "Hey mates!" I called, "Come on, you're so slow!"
"Calm your moobs, man, we're coming!"
"For the last time, Luke! I don't have moobs! All pecks here!" I yelled, trying to sound like I was joking, but in all reality, I was just irritated and wanted these girls to get out.
"Geez, it was only a joke," Luke said. By this time they were at the door looking at me with warning. They were my best friends and they knew that I didn't want anyone to know about how easily I got angry. But at this point, I didn't care.
"Come sit down," I said, getting out of my seat and offering it to Al.
"Oh," she said, "Thank you."
Michael had his eyebrows raised at me in surprise, and Luke and Calum were eyeing each other, as if this had never happened before. Calum then turned to me and gave me a look, saying back off. Apparently, he had already called dibs.
"Ashley can we go to the restroom for a second?" Al asked, eyeing Ashley.
"Didn't you just go?" asked Ashley, raising one eyebrow. Al grabbed her and gave her a hard glare. "Okay okay, I'm coming. We'll, uh...be right back."
As soon as they left, the boys started questioning me.
"Why were you so nice to her?"
"I've never seen you like that man."
"Are you okay?"
"Who do you like? Ashley or Al? Make up your mind. And you better say Ashley, because I called dibs on Al. She's hot man. You'd better back off."
That last one was obviously Calum.
"Hey, guys, calm down. Just don't ask me questions, and nothing will go wrong."
They looked at me suspiciously but couldn't say anymore because Ashley and Al came in. Al was bright red and Ashley had a smirk on her face. I absentmindedly wondered what they had talked about in the 'restroom,' but decided that it didn't matter at the moment.
I rubbed my hands together and said, "Let's play a little game, shall we?"

according to the internet on this neat site i found that has a bunch of facts on ashton, his favorite food is spaghetti. mine, however, is not. i actually don't know what my favorite food is...but I seriously do not like tomato sauce.... i mean...yuck. pls no.
