yuna waits for a minute, rocking a bawling hakkun in her arms. "it's okay, baby. appa will be here soon." she comforts him as best she can, keeping an eye on eunji who looked about ready to burst into tears herself.
"come on, min." she sighs, hugging the boy gently.
her phone begins to ring and a smile of relief settles on her lips, "look, kkuni! it's appa!" the boy looks up at the door, only crying harder when he realised mingi wasn't there, "here."
yuna picks up her phone, answering the facetime request and turning the volume right up.
"kkuni, here. look here." he turns to the phone and she gasps at him, a wide smile on her lips, "baby, who is it?"
"appa..." the boy mumbles and she grins.
"that's right, baby! appa!" she smiles as the boy stops crying, reaching out for her phone, "can you say 'hi, appa'?"
"hi, appa!" eunji shouts and yuna laughs.
"good girl, jiji! now, kkuni's turn." she looks at the boy who was absentmindedly grasping her shirt. "say hi!"
"hi!" the boy shouts and yuna lets out a sigh of relief.
"hey, buddy!" mingi chuckles, smiling brightly at his son, "what're you doing, huh? you having fun with mama?"
the boy nods and mingi cheers softly.
"where's your sister? where's jiji?"
the boy hesitates for a moment before pointing at his sister, "jiji!"
yuna then turns the phone around so mingi could see his daughter and she squeals happily.
"appa!" she shouts.
"eunji!" he calls back.
"where's eunji?" yuna hears and she turns the phone around to watch as yunho appears behind mingi and he gasps, "is that my beautiful nephew?"
"nephew? where?" san shouts and yuna watches as he bolts toward the two, almost knocking them over in the process.
a loud, "i wanna see!" came from wooyoung before he appeared, followed by seonghwa, hongjoong, yeosang and jongho, all gathered around mingi to get a glimpse of the twins.
yuna sets the phone down and lifts eunji into her lap with hakkun as the two wave at their uncles, hakkun's eyes locked onto mingi's face.
they stay on the call until it was time for the twins nap and everyone but mingi leaves so that he could sing them both to sleep.
after they had fallen asleep, yuna heads back down to the living room, sighing in relief once again.
"i'm so glad that worked," she huffs, smiling at mingi who was already staring at her with stars in his eyes. "thanks, mingi."
"thank you, baby." he smiles and she frowns, "i needed that more than i thought i did. could we make this a daily thing?"
"of course we can," she grins and he chuckles, "now get back to work, baby. i love you."
"i love you so much more."
