Our Eyes Satoru

I lay on the cold, hard ground, opening my eyes to find everything around me bathed in white.

"Is this the end?" I murmured to myself, sitting up slowly.

As I looked around, I noticed a door in front of me. Rising to my feet, I approached it, seeing my lost body parts from the battle with Sukuna, now miraculously restored. Even my eyesight had returned, and  I wore the familiar school uniform from my days at the Jujutsu Academy - the black blazer and short skirt. Memories flooded back, and I couldn't help but smile.

Turning my attention to the door, with a determined step, I reached for the door handle and pushed it open. Sunlight flooded in, momentarily blinding me as I shielded my eyes. Then, I heard laughter and familiar voices, causing me to hurry through the door.

The laughter stopped abruptly as they saw me. Before me stood Geto, Gojo, Haibara, Nanami, Yaga, Riko and even Toji, though he kept his distance. They all wore their youthful appearances.

Gojo, shocked, stood up and whispered, "Yn... what are you doing here?"

I chuckled, replying, "I'm dead."

Gojo's eyes widened further as he rushed over to me, enveloping me in a tight embrace. I returned the hug, sensing a different aura around him, one that I wanted to question. However, a sad smile from Geto and he shaked his head as a sign not to ask him about that and the knowing looks from the others told me to refrain from doing so.

I wrapped my arms around Gojo once more, tears streaming down my cheeks.

"I'm sorry I couldn't keep my promise to you," he said softly, unaware of the true reason for my tears.

I buried myself deeper into his embrace, reveling in his comforting scent, the protective hold of his arms, and the profound words he always spoke to me. More tears flowed as he smiled warmly, pressing a kiss to my forehead.

Geto chimed in from behind, "Enough of this cheesy stuff; you're stealing my best friend here."

I released myself from Gojo's embrace and turned to Geto with a warm smile, placing a hand on my hip, "I did miss you, though. Our old Geto."

He chuckled in response.

Haibara, joining in from the other side, teased, "Hey, what about us?"

I laughed gently, replying, "I missed all of you."

Nanami flipped through the newspaper, a smile playing on his lips. However, my smile faltered as I realized our shared fate.

Turning to Nanami, I spoke sadly, "I'm sorry I wasn't there in time to save you."

I then addressed Yaga, "I'm truly sorry about what happened to you."

Yaga waved his hand dismissively, his smile unwavering, "You're not to blame for any of that."

Nanami glanced up from the newspaper, reassuring, "You did more than enough; none of us hold anything against you."

I bit my lip, averting my gaze to the ground to hide the tears threatening to spill. Gojo placed a comforting hand on my shoulder, and I looked up at him, receiving a warm smile as solace.

He then turned to Geto, sticking out his tongue mockingly like in his youth, "If this idiot hadn't switched sides, I wouldn't have been trapped!"

Geto scratched his head sheepishly, retorting, "Well, I had my reasons."

I raised an eyebrow, teasingly remarking, "Ah Yeah your monkey reasons."

We all burst into laughter, but the moment soon quieted again.

Gojo, sounding annoyed, asked, "Did you die because you unlocked that dark power?"

Stretching lazily, I replied, "Actually, yes. But I made a stupid mistake in the fight, so regardless, I would have died because I would have had to fight him anyway."

Gojo sighed, crossing his arms behind his head as he stood. I then leaned down, took off my shoe, and tossed it at Gojo's face. The shoe smacked against his face before falling to the ground.

He held his face in pain and exclaimed, "Are you trying to kill me twice?"

I retorted, both angry and sad, "That was for losing and making me cry my eyes out on the ground, experiencing the worst trauma because of you."

He looked at me with wide eyes, chuckling, and teased, "Were you actually sad?"

I furrowed my eyebrows in annoyance, "You idiot! you were dead in my arms, what do you expect?"

He made that stupid face again and held onto my shoulder, saying with a warm smile, "Actually, our plan was different."

Tears welled up again, and I rested my head on his chest, looking down. "I hate you," I said, tears streaming down my face as I lightly hit his chest with my hand.

He held me tightly in his arms once more.

Tojis voice came from behind, annoyed, "Why are you crying so much?"

Irritated, I turned to where the voice came from, pointing my finger at him and asking the group, "What's this jerk doing here?"

Toji made a stupid face and circled his finger next to his head, indicating my craziness.

Gojo shrugged, leaning against my shoulder, and said, "No idea."

Geto looked around and then remarked insightfully, "This seems to represent the parallel world between death and life."

Nanami nodded in agreement, "You're right."

Haibara said excitedly, "How cool!"

It was only then that I looked around properly and realized that we were at an airport.

Yaga grabbed a drink from the kiosk and came back to us, saying to Haibara, "There's nothing cool about that."

Haibara giggled, "Well, at least we're all together again."

I then added, "Well, not quite."

finished my sentence, "Utahime, Mei Mei, and Shoko are still alive."

I looked at him with sad eyes, but suddenly the clock on the screen struck, and we all looked up. I noticed how the matter of my body was changing, as were the others'. I started to feel my hand and my body in general glowing yellow, slowly releasing tiny atoms into the air. The same was happening to the others except for Gojo. I turned to him with a sad look and bit my lip.

He looked around, shocked and puzzled, asking, "What's happening to you guys?"

I looked at him with tears in my eyes, my voice trembling, "Gojo, I love you."

He widened his eyes in shock and took a step toward me, asking incredulously, "What is this about?"

Tears fell from my cheeks to the ground as I continued, "But I have to leave you."

I turned to the others, who all looked sadly at Gojo. Haibara was even crying. Geto and Nanami fought back tears. Yaga and Toji stood side by side, although they tried to appear neutral, a flicker of sadness was evident on their faces. I turned back to Gojo and opened my arms for him. He took a paralyzed step toward me, then another, faster, and hugged me, trembling.

"No, you can't... You can't do this to me!" His whole body was shaking, and it was the first time I had seen this side of him.

He looked at the others, tears welling up in his eyes, and shouted, "YOU CAN'T DO THIS TO ME!"

The matter rose faster into the air, and I cried even harder, sobbing to Gojo as I hugged him tightly, knowing it was the last time.

"I love you. I love you so much," I choked out.

He held me tighter as I became thinner in his arms, breathing heavily, tears streaming down his face, pain evident in his voice. "Don't do this to me. Don't leave me alone. I CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT YOU. Yn, PLEASE, I LOVE YOU, DON'T LEAVE ME," he pleaded, looking desperately at the others, tears streaming down his cheeks. "GUYS, I LOVE YOU ALL, YOU CAN'T LEAVE ME ALONE!"

Geto managed a sad smile and waved goodbye to him. "Satoru, I'll see you in the afterlife," and his body disappeared upward like dust.

Gojo cried out his name in despair, "GETOOOO."

Nanami and Haibara nodded goodbye to Gojo, and Nanami said, "We'll meet again someday," before they also vanished.

Yaga and Toji chuckled warmly one last time, and Yaga said, "Kid, see you up there."

Toji scratched his ear and said, "Thanks for saving my son from the Zenins," and they both disappeared like dust into the sky.

Gojo reached out his trembling arms towards them, "No...".

I released myself from his embrace and took his face in my hands. My body was also slowly disappearing.

Sobbing, I said, "The last thing I can give you as a keepsake of me are my eyes."

I leaned my forehead against his, and my eyes reflected his, like a red river flowing, transferring my power to his eyes.

He cried out desperately, "DONT PLAY WITH ME,YOU ARE NOT GOING ANYWHERE."

He held me tightly again, but my body disintegrated even faster.

Finally, I whispered in his ear, "I love you... Sayonara..." and I disappeared into the air.

Suddenly, I was gone from Gojo's arms, and there was nothing left.

He fell to his knees, crying and screaming, reaching out for my scattered matter in the air, shouting, "NOOOOOO... NOOOOO... NOOOOO, YNNNNNNNN."

The parallel world collapsed, and the last thing heard were his desperate screams.
