➬ ✧ 𝟎𝟓𝟑: sɪɴɢᴀᴘᴏʀᴇ
Formula 1 was back.
Since a while actually, two Grand Prix already happened. The Dutch gp, the 27 August where Lando ended seventh and The Italy gp , the 3 September where Lando ended eighth.
Today was the Sunday, 17 September so race day and in Singapore.
"lando wake up!" Maisie exclaimed with a smile on her face as she saw the time on her phone, time to wake up
"2 seconds.."
"come on"
"ugh... okay" Lando tiredly spoke but finally opened his eyes to see his girlfriend more than excited, "wow you are happy today"
"We're in singapore, it's a racing day and you're going to do great tonight! So yes i'm happy"
"how do you know i'm going to do great?"
"i just know trust me and now get up"
"okay okay, i'm getting up" He raised his hands like an innocent and got out from the bed to enter the shower.
So he quickly showered and got ready, once finished he went back to the bedroom to see his girlfriend on her phone waiting and ready.
"don't tell me you're ready since before you woke me up?"
"maybe.." Maisie replied, "but i can explain. I woke up early and i couldn't fell asleep again so i just got ready and waited until it was time for you to wake you up"
"oh okay, well since I'm now ready and we have some time before we have to head to the track what if we ate somewhere outside?"
"oh yes please, i'm hungry!"
"okay then we are going but first i have to tell you, you look really pretty"
"thank you" the girl smiled as her cheeks began to redden a bit but she then complimented him back, "and you look good"
"i'm just wearing a mclaren t-shirt but thank you"
"exactly and you're welcome"
"okay, if you say so" Lando escaped a small chuckle, "and now we gotta go to not be late later at the track. like always"
"your fault but yeah, we can go"
So quickly the couple got out of the hotel direction a small café near. They sat opposite of each other on the terrace as the weather was nice.
Quickly they finished and immediately headed to the track.
There Lando left Maisie to do the things he had to do and whilst that the girl just stayed with Alex and Kika.
They also went out for a bit since the Grand Prix was only the night.
The three girls just walked around, ate outside, nothing really interesting.
Until it was time for the race, they went back to the track and went their separate ways. Kika to the Alpine garage, Alex to the Ferrari garage and of course Maisie to the Mclaren garage.
"i'm in love with your helmet" Maisie declared as she watched Lando taking it
"yeah i also love it! and now i gotta go"
"yeah, I know.. Good luck and-"
"be careful i know" The racing driver smiled before softly kissing the girl's cheek and leaving her to walk to the track
So Maisie walked to where Lily (Oscar's girlfriend) and Max where. They then all three put on their headsets, giving all their attention to the race.
Basically the race was kind of crazy- but in a interesting way.
First, the most important Lando did a really great race and ended second, second behind Carlos and the third was Lewis.
So for once Max wasn't the winner.
This race was unexpected and clearly stressful.
But for Maisie it was a really great race. Obviously her boyfriend ending second but also the fact that he was sharing this podium with Carlos. Maisie just knew that Lando was happy about that and that he really wanted that to happen.
(plus Lewis was third and the girl loved Lewis so she was also happy about that)
Anyway,
after the race it was time for the interviews, the podium...
A podium that like every time Maisie filmed of every moment. She did not missed anything and she had like always this proud smile plastered on her face.
As long as Lando was happy she was happy. That's all she needed.
The Grand Prix, the podium, the interviews, the briefings now over Maisie patiently waited for her boyfriend in his driver room since he told her earlier that she could go there if she wanted.
"oh you're here, hey"
"hey, so how are you?"
"i'm feeling really good, what about you?"
"i'm feeling great" The girl smiled, "and it was an amazing race for you like i said this morning! I'm really proud of you Lando" The woman talked with a huge proud smile on her face as she approached him to hug him
"thank you" The man smiled back as he placed his hands around her waist to hug her back, "i love you"
"i love you more"
"nah that's not possible"
"yes it is"
"i'm not sure about that"
"me neither"
"and i don't think I understand this conversation anymore"
"me neither. But also, i'm glad you shared this podium with Carlos, i know you wanted that"
"you're so cute"
"yeah i know" Maisie giggled
"i knew you were going to say that"
"after all theses months of course you know"
"yep" Lando simply nodded not finding anything else to say, "and also.. carlos and some others are going out tonight so do you want to go out or not?"
"do you want to go out?"
"honestly yeah"
"then yeah i want to go out"
"okay cool we can go to get ready and everything then"
Maisie nodded and they both got out of the driver room, said their goodbyes to some people they saw in the Mclaren garage and went back to the hotel they were staying in.
"lando do i wear a dress or a skirt?"
"i don't know, what do you want to wear?"
"i don't know, that's why I'm asking"
"well either way you'll be pretty so whatever you choose is great"
"aw thanks" Maisie planted a quick kiss on his lips "but i need to choose so, 1 or 2"
"1"
"okay i'll wear a dress. Thanks for your help" She spoke before walking back to the bathroom where she changed into the dress, got her makeup and her hair done even though it was simple.
Then quickly it was the hour for them to go out. As the both of them were ready they ordered an uber direction the 'party/dinner', some of the drivers and their girlfriends were already there. Maisie and Lando obviously joined them and the party could finally start.
"i'm going to Japan with you" Maisie whispered to Lando
"you're coming to the Grand Prix?"
"yeah, i was thinking about it and i want to be here for you and going to Japan is still a dream so yeah"
"Cool! I'll show you all the places i showed you in pictures last year, you're going to love it!" Lando exclaimed clearly excited and happy that his girlfriend would be accompanying him to japan so he could also show her places
"i don't doubt it" Maisie smiled just imagining next week. Spending a whole week in Japan, for a Grand Prix so with her boyfriend was a must. Finally she could realise that wish/dream "and now i'm going to join Kika and Lily so i'll be with them if you search for me"
"okay and i will be here" Lando nodded and planted a quick kiss on her lips before she left him direction the bar
A BIT LATER..
It was now very late and in all honesty Maisie was really tired. She woke up earlier than usually today, plus she danced a lot tonight.
She just said goodbye to the girls and was now walking towards Lando to also say goodbye to him.
"lando, i'm tired i'm going back to the hotel"
"okay we can go then"
"no you can stay. I know you're having a good time right now, enjoy it I can go back to the hotel alone"
"you're sure?"
"yeah don't worry" The girl showed a reassuring smile, kissed her boyfriend's cheek and got out
But,
for her greatest dismay she bumped into someone..
Someone she hasn't seen for a long time, but is happy not to have seen.
"oh maisie hi!" Grace exclaimed with a smile, a clear exaggerated fake smile
"what do you want? why are you even here?"
"for the grand prix obviously and in front of you because i just saw you inside with your boyfriend so i followed you outside"
"okay this is weird and i really don't want to talk to you after what you caused this year and like every year before"
"Troubles with your boyfriend? Are they still on?"
"God, you are so-" Maisie was about to complete her sentence when Lando arrived with a jacket in his hand
"hey you forgot your jacket and me" He smiled to his girlfriend not paying any attention to the girl behind, he was even turning his back to her, "and I ordered an uber which is going to arrive in like less than 5 minutes"
"okay, two seconds"
Lando nodded and just walked away but not too far to see when the uber will arrive.
"and you find this funny?" Grace talked as she looked at the other woman who had a small mocking smile on her face
"oh yeah, really funny. Now goodnight i'm going back to the hotel with my boyfriend"
"you're laughing too much, who said he'll be your boyfriend forever?
"him and myself and that's enough so don't worry about me. Anywho. I hope to never see you again, bye" Maisie fake-smiled before walking to her boyfriend and the uber after just some more seconds arrived
Since the party wasn't far away from the hotel quickly they arrived and immediately they changed into comfortable clothes (to sleep) since the both of them were tired.
"She's so annoying, like- ugh I hate her" Maisie commented as she felt her boyfriend laying down by her side on the bed,
"you're not alone on this one don't worry" Lando simply added knowing that the 'she' was Grace but then a silence settled in, to be broke quickly after
"hey do you think you and me it's forever?"
"well you definitely are stuck with me forever so i'll say yes" Lando answered with no hesitation causing giggles to escape from his girlfriend's mouth
"I don't mind being stuck with you forever"
"cool because either way you don't have the choice"
"yeah.. and by the way why didn't you stayed with the others? i know you were enjoying your time there. You literally couldn't stop laughing with Carlos"
"true. but i was not going to let my girlfriend go back to the hotel alone at this hour"
"wow a gentleman"
"i know i know, no need to tell me"
"so humble"
"again yeah i know" Lando repeated with an arrogant tone causing Maisie to just laugh
