Felix doesn't know where he is, why his body and head hurt so much, why his throat feels this dry, and why, even with all of these things going wrong, he still feels so much at ease. A groan runs past his lips as he squints his eyes because even if the lights are dim and spread a sheer glow of yellow around his surroundings, he still finds them to be too bright. Another groan and when he inhales a soft breath, a strong whiff of some perfume he recognizes hits him, and then it suddenly dawns on him, his eyes which were squinted widen and he stills in his movements

Hyunjin---that's who the scent belongs to, and this is whose arms are wrapped around him, confining him to a warm embrace. Felix's cheeks are reddening at the idea and his heart is starting to race the more he realizes what actually is happening. He remembers vaguely that Hyunjin had brought him somewhere but he doesn't know how that happened or why. The last thing he remembers properly is being all alone at a bar, spending the last hours of his twenty-third year in life

and everything that happened next is either in faded memories or not present at all, so confusion arises when he wakes up and finds himself wrapped around Hyunjin, his chin resting on his head and his own face buried in the blond's chest. He tries to squirm his way out but then his body asks him to stay still, just to live a little longer in this peace. His head is aching, his throat is too, his eyes burn and everything else feels numb so what more harm is there in staying in Hyunjin's hold

so he stops his sensical thinking for a second and allows his mind and body to rest thoroughly, to not let anything else invade the cycle of his thoughts just so he can be present here and here only, within Hyunjin's hold and the sound of his soft breathing combining with the heavy rain outside, the dim light of this room, the feel of his warm body, and everything intertwining so flawlessly that it creates a haven for Felix to reside in, and this time, the haven doesn't consist of anything even remotely sexual.

Felix's paced breathing begins to match Hyunjin's slower ones and when his soul finally glows in the light of tranquility, a voice slips through his senses startling him. "Felix, are you awake?" His eyes shoot open at the silky voice and his heartbeat which took ages to calm down starts picking up its pace again. He gulps, trying to ground himself and not think about Hyunjin's hand on his back and his other hand sunk in his hair as he tries to play it off and pretend to be asleep but then the sensible part of his mind tells him that's just stupid and with a loud sigh, he speaks "Yes" the sound comes out raspy and muted but Hyunjin hears it

silence falls over them like the rain falls on the pavement outside, Hyunjin's fingers begin moving in his hair again and Felix fights to urge to let out a really blissed sound as he gathers himself and looks up from Hyunjin's chest, finding his eyes somewhere behind them as he calls out to the man, making sure to keep his voice hushed "Hyunjin?" The blond, who was staring at something, looked down at Felix and the softest of relaxed expressions took over his face "How am I here?" He asks and Hyunjin doesn't answer him, continuing to look into his eyes with a dazed look in his own before he speaks finally

"It's a long story" his words are a silenced whisper and Felix feels like something is different tonight, right now. Like what they usually share is no longer present and something else has taken its place. The raging blush, the fluttering madness in both of their insides, the drumming hearts, the shaky hands—nothing of the sort, no rush, no frenzy, just calmness, and quietude, and somehow this feels so much better. Hyunjin's eyes look up again and a soft smile spreads on his lips before he looks down at Felix who parts his lips to speak but Hyunjin cuts him off and takes him by complete surprise

"Happy Birthday, Felix"

Hyunjin's voice had never been this silky and his tone had never been this soft and sweet, his smile had never been this genuine and his eyes had never shone this way. No playful use of 'vixen', no sensual use of 'pretty'. Tonight, at this minute, Hyunjin was referring to Felix and Felix solely. The blue-haired was taken by more surprise than he could've surmised, his birthday, he had totally forgotten about that cursed thing and now Hyunjin was wishing him so sweetly that he would've cried if he was still drunk. A bright smile spreads on his face and a choked gasp runs past his lips

"What?" Felix makes the smallest of space between them, not running from Hyunjin just shifting back to get a better look at his face. The blond licks his lips, his eyes glowing with a light that was impossible to understand or recognize "It's twelve" He mumbles softly and Felix turns around to look at where Hyunjin had been looking earlier. A small clock is hung on the wall, ticking away the seconds and Felix reads the time on it, his smile only deepening and his heart doing weird flips that it has never done before

"Thank you" He chuckled softly and shifted lightly in Hyunjin's embrace, to place his head on the pillow the blond occupied and match his height. Seconds of silence turned into stretched minutes before Hyunjin asked "Do you want to eat something?" Hyunjin's voice comes soft and Felix hates what he's suggesting because he would give a thousand things to just stay here in bed with Hyunjin but that's not possible because he is feeling both parched and starved "Yes" He mutters with a soft sigh

Hyunjin doesn't move, and stares at him quietly before he questions further "Would you like it in bed or should we head to the dining room?" Felix ponders his words for a second not because he's contemplating his options but because he's too busy dwelling on how sweet Hyunjin feels against him, how his fingers in his hair make him want to fall into slumber even though he had just woken up and how his eyes are so pretty now that he sees them up close, Felix can't help but notice something has changed in them too, something feels lighter and---as if they are glimmering

The blue-haired is gone in his thoughts, just staring at Hyunjin and admiring how someone can look that beautiful so the man breaks the silence "I'll bring it here, you seemed heavily drunk so your head must be hurting" Suddenly, the bubble of sheer peace is popping over Felix's head when Hyunjin shifts and removes his arm from underneath the freckled man, getting up gently and removing the comforter from his lower half as he rises to the ground, turning to look at Felix "What would you like to eat?" He questions, voice louder than before so it'd reach Felix "Anything, anything will do" Felix answers vaguely because he can't continue speaking, he's grieving the loss of warmth from the bed and his answer is clouded.

◃ ⛓ ▹

Steaming Ramyeon, frothy matcha tea because apparently, Hyunjin believes it's the best hangover cure. They sit quietly on the bed, Felix's back against the headrest and one of Hyunjin's feet placed on the ground. Hyunjin was a sophisticated man, never in his life would he ever allow himself to eat food in bed, that too soupy food, with one leg dangling like a child and the other curled (there's nothing wrong with sitting that way but Hyunjin is the forgotten son of Miranda Priestly and he keeps elegance ethics close to his heart) but here he was, and there isn't an ounce in him that feels regretful as he slurps onto the noodles

too focused on the unusual feeling in him and the taste of the delicious food, he's not used to having such meals that too in the middle of the night but this one is exceptionally delightful. The clear of Felix's throat pokes the silence and brings Hyunjn's attention to himself "So, how did I end up here?" he tries to make it sound casual and not inquisitive because he didn't want Hyunjin to think he didn't want to be here "I found you in the middle of a road, soaking in the rain and crying" Embarssament might as well be Felix's middle name by now

the amount of times Hyunjin had encountered him going through his breakdowns because of Chan is a little too much and blush is kissing Felix's cheeks now as he thinks back on it, and this rogue isn't sweet it comes with the price of humiliation. The blue-haired keeps his head down "Thanks... for bringing me here and not like, leaving me there" Felix clears his throat yet again, sipping down the matcha tea. Hyunjin doesn't say anything for a second before he does and makes Felix stop sipping "I don't like repeating myself, pretty" Felix's stomach twisted at the petname

Hyunjin had been calling him Felix for most of the night and hearing him say that now when he seemed sincere and serious, made him feel all the more different about that nickname than it usually does "Sorry, I forgot" Felix smiled sheepishly and sat down the cup, both done with their food and now they sat quietly, looking into each other's eyes because somehow it doesn't get tedious to do this "I'll put these away" Hyunjin slices the comfort and Felix nods, quickly looking away and toward the window while the man gets up and grabs hold of the tray to make his way out the room.

When Hyunjin leaves, Felix is left alone to dwell on his thoughts, he rests his back against the headrest and sighs heavily. He allows himself to feel all the things he had stopped himself from feeling earlier and he searches for the sorrow that is painting him a picture of grey dreariness but nothing comes and his quest turns emptyhanded. No sadness is present within him and Felix is confused, that sadness was the reason he was in the comfortable bed and beautiful room, where had it disappeared to?

Felix dives in deeper and tries to remember Chan but only bitterness comes, no sorrow and he's left confused yet before he can think about it more Hyunjin comes back and beelines towards the bed, plopping down next to Felix. His body weighs down the mattress and Felix turns to look at him before speaking "I should go," His words come with a smile and Hyunjin looks at him, the same unreadable expression on his face "Home?" it sounds bitter when Hyunjin said it and Felix nods "It's time, I've bothered you long enough" He chuckles for the sake of it and looks away to stare ahead

Hyunjin licks his lips, furrowing his brows and continuing to stare at Felix because he doesn't know how to put whatever is brewing within him into words "It's raining, I wasn't bothered" The sentence doesn't make sense but it's cohesive enough for Felix to understand whose smile falters the slightest when he turns to look at Hyunjin, hopeful eyes shining brightly "You must have been, it's not easy to take care of an angsty drunkard" Felix tries to joke, tries to make light of the heavy tension, the supple comfort and the dense flustered-ness in his stomach but Hyunjin doesn't laugh

"I wasn't" It's simple and straightforward and something about the way it has been whispered makes Felix want to stop time and replay those worse over and over, he shouldn't be this affected, he knows but he still is and this is terrible news "Oh" Felix is awkward, has always been so he looks away and down at his lap, rethinking everything that led him to this situation as a bizarre feeling of contentment spreads in his chest

When it came to sexual maneuvers, Felix was confident and bold, when it came to flirting, no one was better than him, but when it was about genuine conversations that weren't with his friends or the people he already knew, then he turned into someone who barely has any social etiquette. "If you wish to go home, I wouldn't hold you back, my driver can drop you off" Hyunjin suggests, his tone audibly upset but Felix knows that tone won't affect his answer

it's not like he would stay just because Hyunjin sounded bitter, he'd never let things like that falter his decision. Sighing, he looked up at Hyunjin and spoke "It's fine, I'll leave when the rain stops" He whispered, sounding more as though he was assuring himself more than he was letting Hyunjin know. Like he was telling himself it was okay if he stayed. Still, a soft smile romanced Hyunjin's face, rare as a comet in the sky and beautiful just as one. Felix found his heart flipping all over again when Hyunjin spoke in his silky voice, through that beautiful half-smile "That's a wise decision, Felix" And it was

The silence seemed to last for minutes, extending on and on. Their eyes were still locked, backs against the headrest of the bed they shared with a comfortable distance between them. Sure, they didn't need to speak, because the quietude was already soothing enough that they didn't want to bother it but Felix felt questions bubble against his throat and he didn't deem it necessary to hold them back, so he let it slip

"Did I do anything stupid or embarrassing?" His first question was mild, nothing extraordinary but he still prayed Hyunjin would say no, he knew how embarrassing he could be when he was drunk. He either turns into someone entirely too clingy, too horny, or too emotional, and neither of those three things were any better than the other. He doesn't know which version Hyunjin met this time but he prayed it wasn't either of them. He folded his arms over his stomach and Hyunjin rested his head on the headrest, seemingly growing more comfortable

"No" Hyunjin answered, though there had been a few times Felix would sob way too loud or snort but Hyunjin didn't find that embarrassing, not even an ounce. Felix's lips curled again as relief spread in him, thank the heavens Hyunjin hadn't told him of his acts otherwise he would likely be digging a hole to hide in right now. "I have a question, Hyunjin" The blond who was already fighting his demons about wanting Felix to stay here was startled, only because he didn't know what Felix would ask and he didn't know if it would worsen his state of mind further

Nevertheless, he doesn't let that stop him from saying "Go ahead" and the blue-haired only licks his lips, smile lessening as he contemplates saying this or not before he gives up entirely on rational thinking and boundaries

"I don't know anything about you but you know more about me than I would have allowed"

Felix sighed, leading up to something with his words but his statement had already stirred something in Hyunjin's stomach. Was what he knew not something Felix wanted him to know? It's not like he wanted to think that question but his mind won't leave him alone and now he's regretting agreeing to let Felix ask him questions. On the other hand, in Felix's mind, they were practically stuck in this penthouse with the rain roaring outside and Felix's emotions all stirred because of what he'd gone through this evening and the alcohol he had consumed earlier whose effects were long gone

Hyunjin could leave if he wanted to but he was staying by Felix's side and he didn't see any harm in taking leverage of the situation, Hyunjin knew more of him than he did of the man and it was biting him down so he had to learn at the very least some little fact about the man. "It's not that I mind you knowing my shitty love life and pathetic breakdowns, It's just I want to know something of yours too, even if we remain strangers I think we should wield equal knowledge about one another" Felix's words wash over Hyunjin in a manner he hadn't expected them to, he's silent and Felix is nibbling his bottom lip in anticipation of his answer

Hyunjin's mind may be dumping a thousand thoughts on his senses, but he still manages to feel relief that Felix doesn't mind him knowing what he does. Long seconds later, after Hyunjin had taken his sweet time contemplating Felix's statement, he finally speaks "Ask" It's a simple answer and it had Felix confused "Ask what you want to know about me, Felix" The whisper is tantalizing and it hangs in the air like a dagger against Felix's throat, if the blue-haired ever thought he'd be over Hyunjin taking his name, he was wrong.

Felix licks his lips for the hundredth time that day and sighs, looking away from Hyunjin because his mind refuses to function with the way Hyunjin's eyes look and the way his lips are so pretty "Who are you"

Felix mumbles with a little shaky breath, finally having enough valor to look into Hyunjin's eyes which are still shining. He didn't mean to ask quite literally who Hyunjin was, just gather basic information that wouldn't leave him feeling like he was speaking only to the man he has bedded rather than someone more than a sex partner, perhaps a friend, but that was too much of a thought and Felix wasn't there yet. Still, Hyunjin's lips curl into a beautiful smile but it's different this time, familiar and playful and it eases something in Felix

"Hwang Hyunjin, pretty. You know that—you've screamed that name enough times"

Hyunjin's silky voice first attacks Felix's senses, then his tone leaves Felix breathless and lastly comes his words to stop his heart altogether. The vicious smirk and the shine in his eyes was a fatal combination and all Felix could do was remind himself to breathe as he chuckled awkwardly, finding his stomach twisting as he shook his head lightly with warmth kissing his cheeks "Yes, I'm aware of that. But who are you? I only know how to scream your name, I don't know who the person is who bears it" A relaxed sigh leaves Felix's lips when he shuffles, trying to shift his body so he won't have to bear Hyunjin's attentive gaze as he slips down and on the pillow

head too heavy to keep it up straight and Hyunjin's eyes fall to him, licking his lips as if deep in thought. Hyunjin's mind is foggy, his thoughts are scattered and he is halted in his process of thinking because Felix's question has risen a thousand more within him. What was he to tell Felix? there is an identity that he can't reveal to the blue-haired, and anything outside of that is blank, he's nothing outside of that mold and the sudden realization of that is making his throat go dry.

Felix lets him ponder his words and allows Hyunjin to take all the time he requires but Hyunjin's voice comes quicker than he had assumed. "I'm..." Hyunjin licked his lips, his words dying on his tongue and their death tasted rancid "I'm not sure what you're asking, pretty, but my occupation..." Hyunjin has never been at this loss for words and it's biting him down, who is this man and what did he do to the Hyunjin who had the speech of a polished, revolutionary politician? "I own an international freight business, to be specific, cargo shipping" Hyunjin who had turned away his eyes is finally looking at Felix and the shock on the latter's face surprises him

initially, he had thought of continuing on but Felix's reaction stopped him "That's why you're so fucking rich!" He gasps and clasps his hand over his mouth which makes Hyunjin chuckle softly, completely out of character. "It's all thanks to my dad, I'm just a product of nepotism" Hyunjin shrugged his shoulders and Felix rolled his eyes "Still, it's not easy managing all that. I could never, honestly" the blue-haired stated both casually and honestly as he sighed and turned to lie on his back, staring up at the ceiling

"So how long have you been doing this for?"

he queries further while Hyunjin just wants to slide down on the mattress as well, Felix's warmth is cozying up to him and all he wants to do is cud--"A good few years, about 7" Hyunjin stops his thoughts abruptly, not letting them grow or speak, realization was a dangerous game and he didn't want any part of it. "That's a lot, since you were twenty?" Felix raises his brows in shock and turns to look at the man who nods and hums lightly, shifting to turn his body towards the blue-haired. Not lying down, he reminds himself, not lying down, absolutely not.

"Do you have any siblings?" the question comes randomly and Hyunjin shakes his head no to it, finding it hard to resist how soft suddenly this mattress has become and how his body is just practically melting toward Felix "Only child?" Felix cocks a brow even though Hyunjin's answer should've given it away and there was no need to ask further, but Hyunjin still nods his head yes and Felix clicks his tongue "I've got two sisters, middle child, all they ever want to do is braid my hair or bully me, seriously there is no in between" Felix chuckles through a scoff and Hyunjin smiles unconsciously

"Must be nice" he speaks absentmindedly with a soft tone in his voice and Felix hums "I miss them crazy, living so many miles away from your family isn't fun" The blue-haired clicks his tongue and turns to his side again, putting both of his hands under the side of his face while he stares up at Hyunjin and the blond is sure he's plotting this, purposefully acting so warm and fluffy just so Hyunjin would crack and cuddle but he will not, that is absolutely abominable and he refuses to break any more rules

so he gulps and licks his lips "Where does your family live?" He drives his mind away from how nice Felix would feel if he wrapped his arms around him right now and focuses it on the blue-haired's round eyes "Australia" Hyunjin's eyebrows raise at the words "That's far" he mumbles more to himself than to the other and Felix nods "I know, but it's fine, I like living here" Felix shrugs his shoulders and Hyunjin knows he must be breaching some sort of boundary by asking the following but he does anyway "Why'd you move here?" he tries to make it sound non-inquisitive and guessing by Felix's reaction, he probably didn't mind

The blue-haired hummed, focusing here and there to try and form a statement and Hyunjin gave him the time he wanted before he finally spoke up again "It's kind of long actually, but I'll try to be brief" Felix stated, suddenly sitting up like he was about to tell Hyunjin the story of his life and the blond was completely here for it "No rush" he mumbles and Felix smiles at his gentle words before grabbing a pillow and placing it onto his lap. Because Felix was now sitting, the distance between them wasn't that large, to the point where Felix's knee brushed the side of Hyunjin's thigh

and the blond shouldn't be feeling that familiar yearning any longer, the one that had been consistently asking him to lie down next to Felix because he was no longer being the fluffy fairy in his bed anymore. But somehow, Felix sitting up had worsened the yearning because now he just wanted to plop his head in his lap and bury his small fingers in his hair--Hyunjin's jaw tightened and eyes narrowed at the thought, what in the world was wrong with him, what type of black magic is this freckled man doing that's making him act so bizarre?

"So, initially, all of my family moved here when I was twelve because my stupid, lovely, elder sister wanted to become an idol," Felix rolled his eyes with a smile and Hyunjin watched him with an endearing look, taking notice of how he curls his lips when he talks and puffs out his cheeks so adorably "She fought my parents for a year straight, started pulling strikes and she would bribe me and my little sister with candy and of course, we went along with whatever she asked of us," Felix stated like it was obvious and Hyunjin chuckled softly

the sound so mere it barely resonated in the other's ears but the sight did and upon it, Felix's heart fluttered. "We stayed here for three years, got her signed into some agency, I enrolled into a school alongside my younger sister and we were settling in well but then my grandpa--my mother's father--suddenly fell ill and so my mother flew back to Australia to be with him" If Felix thought this was 'brief' then he genuinely had no idea what 'brief' meant. But, Hyunjin didn't seem to mind, instead, he was completely focused and enjoying whatever Felix was saying

The blue-haired's hands continued to wave in slow motions as if he was articulating his story with his hands, gaze bouncing from the ceiling to the walls then back to Hyunjin, and the blond found that habit absolutely adorable "My father stayed with us but then a year later things got critical and my mom was going through a lot of emotional stuff so my dad left me and my elder sister with our aunt and flew back home with my youngest sister" Hyunjin's eyebrows furrowed at the statement, confused "Why didn't he take you back?" His silky voice is silent compared to Felix's

"Oh well--" a knit appears between Felix's brows as he tilts his head and calculates Hyunjin's words "Yeah, right, why didn't they take me back?" He asks like he's looking back on memories and is truly upset why his parents left him here "Oh my god! what dicks my people are!" He gasps as his eyes suddenly widen and now he's shifting, reposing himself and sitting on his knees on the bed "My parents hate me!" he announces as if it was a god-sent revelation and Hyunjin doesn't know anything better than to laugh aloud

the sound was not only foreign to him and Felix but to the walls of his home too, eyes shut and head falling back even if it wasn't anything funny and hearing it Felix forgot all his woes that his parents may or may not have abandoned him, his mind completely taken by the liquor that was Hyunjin's sweet and melodic laughter and if he could bottle it up, he'd spend the rest of his days getting drunk on that sound. His eyes were dazed and lips apart as he watched Hyunjin come down from his high and run a hand through his hair, turning to look back at Felix

"I don't think so, there must be a reason" Hyunjin tried to vouch for the people he'd never met and this was not the Hwang Hyunjin that had existed for the past seven years, this wasn't the one who was spoiled and rebellious either, this was someone else--a cloner who had wore the skin of Hyunjin and took his place because, surely, that was the only explanation to his casual behavior, lighthearted smile, carefree speech and no conscience for the upcoming time

"I'm gonna text them, I'm gonna ask them why do they hate me?" Felix shakes his head, grounding himself and slipping from the haven that was Hyunjin's laugh as he shifts briskly, grabs his phone from the nightstand, and unlocks it while Hyunjin shakes his head and slips down on the mattress, all his chants of 'do not lie down' having quieted down because he silenced them without even knowing he did. A soft look of ataraxis on his face when he lies on his side and watches Felix type with a pout

he shouldn't be wondering how this man is so pretty all over again but he is and condemn him oh Hades, bring him back home to hell because he keeps coming back to the thought of Felix, even when the blue-haired isn't present, even when he's not thinking he's thinking of Felix. All his senses have been occupied with lately is this particular freckled and it has Hyunjin ripping his hair out just because he had never met such a puzzle he kept failing to put together. If a question arises in Hyunjin's mind, within moments he'll have its answer but with Felix, he just can't seem to figure out what in the misery was happening to him

before he could go down the rabbit hole of his thoughts again Felix puts away his phone and plops down next to Hyunjin with a loud sigh, bringing the man out of his state of mind. "Done, now they have some real explanation to do, they left me here for years! even she, my stupid sister, went back! didn't even become an idol because she realized she didn't wanna do it anymore" Felix declares exasperatedly, shakes his head like he can't believe what he's saying and Hyunjin smiles at his words, feeling funny at how close Felix is to him now and how difficult it is getting to resist the urge to just squish him between his arms

"Well, tell me more about you, how'd you end up dying your hair red" The familiar sheepish smile returns on Felix's face and his eyes glow an illuminance of mischief while Hyunjin groans softly, making Felix chuckle playfully "I was so eccentric when I was young" Hyunjin shakes his head, living back the memory of his days that he peeked in. Felix watches him endearingly, finding this unrevealed side of him so interestingly attractive, even if he had trouble admitting it "I dyed them red because I wanted something fun, black was boring" Hyunjin licks his lips and meets Felix's eyes because he had looked away earlier and the look he finds there stops his heart momentarily

Felix's eyes are hazy and his smile is fatal, it all feels so surreal and so nice that Hyunjin finds it hard to wrap his head around it before he gulps and slips into reality again, curling his lips as he points to his head "I guess somethings never change" Felix chuckles lowly at his words, staring at Hyunjin's head and there's a yearning in him to run his fingers through the man's hair and before he can even fight it, his urges are doing their job and his hands in the air before it meets Hyunjin's hair and ruffles it softly.

Hyunjin's heart which stopped momentarily before, stopped nearly for a full minute now (it didn't because he'd be dead if it did, but he did feel like he was dying) a color that had never once touched his cheeks except for the times he used to shower with his flaming hair taints his face as Felix continues to pat his head. Something arises within him, so terribly sticky and sweet, and oh god--what is going on? Hyunjin feels like he's going to throw up, like he's not real anymore, doesn't exist in his body anymore, and is just a floating entity that has no existence

Felix's fingers in his hair make him want to kill himself because this feeling is unlike any he has ever had before and how could he be so at peace? how could a stranger he barely knows make him feel this way? make him feel like he's above in the clouds, like the skies are beneath his feet, like he's lost in the most beautiful of meadows far from reality, like the stars are kissing his skin and like—so much, there's so much to understand that Hyunjin completely stops thinking, doesn't even pay any mind to anything and leans into Felix's touch

if something bad happens because Hyunjin had let go of his guard, it will come later, in this minute, all he wants to do is take what Felix is giving him, feel what he's making him feel and not question anything. Silence falls over them and Felix doesn't stop running his fingers through Hyunjin's hair, his eyes looking down at Hyunjin's instead of his hair and when he looks into the man's he feels an otherworldly force push him closer to Hyunjin, shift toward him like the blond's magnetic field was a national phenomenon

Hyunjin allowed it, humming lightly when Felix's discrete reposing met his senses, and he too shifted closer softly, and now they lay side by side, so close but so far, like parallel lines and Hyunjin found his heart no longer racing but now at a content speed and Felix finds his stomach no longer twisting, it was all just blissfully calm and neither of them want this night to end. The rain outside grows double in its capacity and it feels like a storm is coming but neither of them cares, Felix's forearm rests against Hyunjin's neck, eyes locked and lips sealed shut

none of them say anything because there is no need to, Felix keeps his hand in Hyunjin's hair but stops threading it, instead, he focuses on how pretty Hyunjin looks up close. Seconds later of observing his handsome face, the boy whispers "You're so pretty" his unexpected words make a lump appear in Hyunjin's throat. He knew he was handsome, knew he looked like a god and he acted like one too but hearing Felix call him pretty made his heart leap, what a funny feeling it was. The man licks his lips and finds himself saying the words he's barely ever said to anyone apart from his family

"Thank you, Felix"

his raspy voice meets the blue-haired's ears who smiles softly at him "My, My, mighty Hyunjin can't stay true to his own ethics" Felix clicked his tongue jokingly and it took Hyunjin a whole five seconds to understand what he was saying before his lips curled as well "I can say it" He speaks smugly and Felix scoffs at his words, rolling his eyes just the littlest. Silence falls over them again, taking its sweet time spreading peace in their chests before Hyunjin speaks and cuts it short "What's your favorite color?" Hyunjin questions softly and Felix hums lightly at his question, not taking long before he answers because he's aware of what he wants to say

"Blue, has always been" Felix smiles and Hyunjin continues to look into his eyes as he hums lightly "Do you like diamonds?" Felix knits his brows at the blond's particularly unusual question as he licks his lips "Yea, I mean of course. They're pretty" Felix shrugs his shoulders and Hyunjin hums again "Just pretty? wouldn't like them a lot? wouldn't wanna wear them?" Hyunjin cocks a brow and Felix feels like he's being investigated, in a good way, he likes that Hyunjin is asking so many questions and he doesn't know why

"I would, obviously. I've just never thought about them that much" Felix explains and Hyunjin goes silent for a second before speaking again "So think about it now, if you could wear a blue diamond bracelet or a Paraiba tourmaline bracelet, which one would you like?" Felix is thrown off by Hyunjin's oddly specific question "A Paraiba what?" He hides his wide smile and dims it down as Hyunjin chuckles softly at his confusion "It's a rare stone" Felix forms an 'oh' with his mouth, interested in this newfound information

"What's the difference?" he asks, licking his lips and Hyunjin has a hard time holding himself back from looking down as he starts speaking "They're often cheaper than blue diamonds but it varies and can be more expensive too, they're brighter almost a very pale blue while blue diamonds are darker like a cobalt blue" Hyunjin states simply and Felix is amazed by his mere knowledge on gems "How cool, how do you know all of this?" He raises his brows, hand still in Hyunjin's hair.

"My mother was very interested in gems and stones, that's how" Hyunjin can't hide the softness in his tone when he speaks of his beloved mother and Felix smiles at it "That's sweet, what's her favorite stone?" Hyunjin is surprised by the question, gulping as he is reminded of his mother, and sadness is spreading in his chest. He hadn't expected Felix to ask this but he didn't mind as he smiled proudly and spoke "It's basic but Amethyst, she was a big fan of them" His dimple appeared and Felix found it so handsome

"They're pretty, I used to have a ring of pure purple amethyst but it broke" Felix pouted and Hyunjin almost lost himself in his cuteness. "My mother used to say purple amethyst breaks when there's too much negativity around you" Hyunjin mumbles and Felix doesn't miss the constant use of past tense Hyunjin is using for his mother but he doesn't assume things "Huh, how fun" Felix purses his lips at the thought and Hyunjin sighs softly. Silence looms over them and it's comfortable.

"So tell me, what would you prefer?" Hyunjin doesn't seem to be dropping this argument and Felix sighs, not because he's annoyed but because he's seriously thinking about it now. Wondering in his mind which would look prettier, his pout deepens and his eyes wander up to the ceiling as he thinks and Hyunjin would rather go to war than battle the desires that are forcing him to lean forward and kiss that damned pout. With a few more seconds, Felix finally comes to a world-shattering conclusion;

"I can't choose, Hyunjin"
