Mazikeen threw her vest on the floor when they landed and rubbed her eyes,
"That fucking sucked,"
Tristan put his hand on her shoulder,
"Hey, we destroyed that con!"
Mazikeen shook her head,
"Shanghai got fucked!"
Epps sighed and put a hand on her shoulder,
"Mynx. The teams worked well!"
Mazikeen shrugged his hand off,
"Doesn't matter anymore...There is a new person coming from what I was told by the president...I...I might lose my job, guys,"
Eddie ran up to the small group,
"Maz!"
Mazikeen sighed as he pulled her into a tight hug,
"Are you okay?"
Mazikeen noded,
"Yeah."
Will sighed,
"Let's get going to the meeting, we will discuss this later,"
Mazikeen nodded. Will, Epps, and Mazikeen slowly walked to the command center and saw General Morshower there already in a hologram. The three saluted him and he nodded,
"At ease,"
Mazikeen noticed Optimus and Jazz already there in their alt-modes and nodded her head at them. Morshower sighed,
"Okay, what happened? Someone just tell me, half of Shanghai got destroyed!"
Will frowned,
"That was the biggest Decepticon sighting we have seen since Mission City, sir. I believe they are looking for something,"
Mazikeen nodded,
"Sir, the only reason they would still be on Earth is for that specific reason, They want to find something and even I am not sure what it is,"
Morshower sighed,
"Prime, do you have any ideas?"
Optimus transformed and knelt down,
"The Decepticon said, 'The Fallen will Rise once again,' I am not sure what that means...but it can not be good,"
Then a voice came from behind all of them,
"Excuse me! Coming through! Move out of the way!"
They all turned to see a man strutting through the people around him,
"I am National Security Advisor to the President, Theodore Galloway. I was sent here because the President believes that you are not doing a good job at protecting the world. Shanghai is an excellent example. I have one question for you, robot, what if the Decepticons are still here because YOU are still here?"
Will and Epps immediately put a hand on Mazikeen's shoulder before she could walk to Galloway. Optimus nodded his head,
"If you wish for us to leave, we will. But, I swore to protect the humans, it is in the treaty that was signed. However, what if you are wrong?"
Galloway crossed his arms,
"Then, we will protect ourselves. We have a weapons expert in this room right now that can create new weaponry to better protect us...His name, I was told, is Mynx, or Captain Witwicky, the robot Liaison,"
Will sighed as he felt Mazikeen's stance immediately change and he glanced at her and nodded his head. Epps and Will let go of her and she walked toward Galloway,
"Hello, Agent Galloway, my name is Captain Mazikeen Witwicky. Most people call me Maze or Mynx. A pleasure to meet you. Also, they are called either Cybertronians or Autobots, not robots."
Galloway narrowed his eyes,
"You are the weapons specialist?"
Mazikeen smiled and nodded,
"Yes sir, alongside the Autobot Ironhide. I also am well-versed in Medical needs and have been inventing for a year,"
Galloway nodded stiffly,
"Well, the President wants you to start working on getting every soldier a specialized gun that will better protect everyone from those Decepticons,"
"Respectfully, sir. I will not be giving my weapons away to those I do not know. The weapons that we currently have for the Decepticons are suitable and as long as the soldiers can aim correctly, they will do just fine. We have been training for many months alongside the Autobots and our men at NEST can hold their own,"
Galloway narrowed his eyes,
"Are you refusing a direct order from the President?"
Mazikeen shook her head,
"No, Sir. I am simply following the alliance contract that was signed by both the President and Prime. I used some of their technology to better equip my weapons so therefore, it is against the treaty to give away my weapons. That was the deal in exchange for the shard,"
"That All Spark Shard, yes I know. And what about that suit of armor that I have heard about? Why was that not used?"
"Because, sir, it was greatly damaged during the battle of Mission City and it is taking a long time to repair it,"
Galloway slowly nodded,
"I was made the Liaison between the Military and NEST, so everything that you do here, will go through me as well. From now on, we will be working closer together, understood Witwicky?"
Mazikeen wanted to punch something,
"Understood, sir."
Galloway then walked away, with Will following him to discuss the training. Morshower sighed,
"I have to call the President,"
Mazikeen glanced at him,
"I am guessing that you did not know about this,"
Morshower nodded,
"I did not...Mazikeen, you need to be extra careful now. Keep the Autobots from getting into any trouble and watch out for him. Agent Galloway wants to disband NEST and get rid of the Autobots, we all know that is not good,"
Mazikeen nodded and saluted,
"I will not fail, sir,"
Morshower smiled and nodded his head,
"I know,"
Mazikeen started walking out and Eddie ran up to her and pulled her into a tight hug,
"I just ran into Galloway and Will, are you okay?"
Mazikeen shook her head,
"Everything is falling apart,"
Eddie shook his head,
"Hey, don't say that,"
Mazikeen sighed and looked at him,
"I have to go talk to Ratchet...then I'm going to finish some things I have been working on,"
Eddie laughed,
"You are always working on something,"
Mazikeen winked at him,
"I know,"
She walked away and entered the Medical Bay to see Ratchet and Jolt working on scraps of metal,
"Hey Ratch and Jolt!"
Jolt smiled at her,
"Hello, Maze,"
Ratchet just grunted at her,
"Where is-"
Tex jumped onto her arm,
"MAZE!"
Mazikeen laughed and hugged Tex,
"Hey, Tex,"
Tex smiled at her,
"Prime requested your presence,"
Mazikeen laughed,
"Okay, thank you, I'll be back to help you three after,"
Ratchet nodded,
"We are getting closer,"
Mazikeen smiled at him,
"I know,"
She looked down at Tex,
"Hey, can you go help the guard at the tower? I have a weird feeling that something is off,"
Tex nodded,
"Yeah! Of course I can,"
She watched as Tex ran off, everyone knew about him and adored the small Cybertronian. Optimus was waiting outside the Medical Bay for her and she chuckled,
"So, you know me very well by now, huh?"
Optimus chuckled and put his servo down for her to climb onto,
"Yes, I believe so. It has been many months,"
Mazikeen nodded,
"So, what's up?"
Optimus sighed,
"I am concerned about this change, Agent Galloway does not seem to like us. It worries me that we will no longer be allowed to stay here on Earth,"
Mazikeen sighed and looked down at her hands,
"Optimus...I don't know what to do about that. I'll always fight for you guys, you know I will,"
Optimus nodded and as soon as they were in his room, he set her down on the table and sat down on the chair,
"Mazikeen. That is my biggest concern,"
"What is?"
Optimus sighed,
"You should not sacrifice your life here on Earth to help us. You have done a lot for my race and for that, I will always be grateful. I want to tell you how to cut off the bonds that you have obtained...for if we are forced to leave, I worry about the pain that all of us will experience at departing with you,"
Mazikeen immediately shook her head and crossed her arms,
"Optimus. I know how to, but I refuse to believe that there will come a day when I will have to do that. I know how to numb the bonds, I did when I was almost kidnapped again. I care about all of you, you are my family just as much as my comrades are. Hell! Tex is literally my son technically. It's still weird to think about. But you gotta promise me something,"
Optimus sighed and nodded his head,
"What is the request?"
Mazikeen smiled at him,
"I know you promised me this already...but if anything happens to me, promise me that you will protect my baby brother,"
Optimus frowned,
"I will with my spark. But, I will also not let anything happen to you, nor will any of us,"
Mazikeen smiled at him and patted his servo,
"Optimus, sometimes...sometimes you can not stop something from happening. That is something that I have learned over the past six years in the army. I don't want you to feel guilty if anything were to happen to me either, okay?"
Optimus nodded,
"I will try not to, Maze,"
Mazikeen smirked largely,
"So! You CAN use my nickname,"
Optimus chuckled,
"Just when it is the two of us,"
Mazikeen shrugged,
"Hey! I'll take it,"
"Why did you lie about Phoenix's condition?"
Mazikeen smirked,
"Well, he would definitely try to steal her, so I lied,"
Optimus nodded his head,
"I am still learning about humans,"
Mazikeen chuckled,
"Yeah, me too Optimus, me too,"
