It was Srilanka's batting that was going on! Sara had got a big grin on her face, it was all the effect of the precious 5 mins with Mr. Charmer! She couldn't believe he had done it once again. Sri Lanka's batting had started but it all got over pretty soon! Thanks to Siraj :) India won the watch. Alysha and Jugnu wanted to leave post the match, but Sara thought to check with Shub once, as to what his plan was. She texted Shub.
Sara: "Hey!! You must be busy with the post match rituals, shall I leave for home ?"
Shub: "Wait na!!"
Sara: "Where ??"
Shub: "At Jugnu's place ?"
Sara: "Ohh!! How long will it take for you to come back ?"
Shub: "I will try wrapping everything up super soon and will come to see you?"
Sara: "Okaayyyy! I will wait."
Shub: "Yeah! Actually the reason I want to see you is because tomorrow morning I will have to leave for Kolkata for the next match."
Sara: "Ohh! Kal hi jana hoga ?"
Shub: "Yeas baby!!"
That is the thing about love! Not like Sara didn't know he would be leaving! He had to leave! She was one of those peope who really wanted him to go out there and shine! Shine like the brightest star ✨It was such a crucial time, with the world cup being round the corner! But then hearing it all from Shub, when they had literally spent almost 3 consecutive days together, shook her a bit. Still, somehow she grabbed herself and wrote back:
Sara: "Yeah! Okay! I get it. I will wait for you! Come and see me at Jugnu's. Okay!"
Shub: "Yeah babyyyyy."
Sara and Jugnu reached his place. Alysha obviously had to go back. She had some other errands to run! While they were on their way back to Jugnu's place, Sara kept thinking about Shub leaving the next day! For some reason her heart wasn't prepared to let him go, on the other hand she was conscious enough to not act/behave or for that matter even come across as a naive girlfriend with no logical expectations. That wouldn't have been a goood sight.
After couple of hours, Shub reached Jugnu's place. Obviously, Ishan had come with him. It was likea given thing! Subeer was also in Mumbai that time around. He had been out of India for quite a few months now and had just returned. So he had come to meet them all before he leaves back for Chandigarh!
Shub & Ishan reached Jugnu's place and saw Subeer too there:
Shub: "Chaand kahan se niklaa hai aaj ? Subeer jee aaye hain humse milne ?"
Subeer: "Chaand udhar se hi niklaa hai aaj jidhar se us din nikalta hai jab aap dono saath me spot ho jaate ho."
He said pointing at Shubman & Sara, and continued.
Subeer: "Come On Guys!! It's such a last season thing to deny that you both are not seeing each other. Media wale bhi fed up ho chuke hain tum dono se."
Shub: "When did we say we are not seeing each other ? Tujhse toh kabhi nahi chupaya hai humne."
Jugnu: "Baap re! Blush dekha nahi tu aaj ka iska ? Kya bada bada blush diye hue thaaa. Sabko pata hai ab Subeer, bro!"
Subeer: "Hi Sara."
Sara: "Hey Hi Subeer!! Wassup ??"
Subeer: "Maana ki humne baat nahi kee hai kuch time se, toh iska matlab ye toh nahi hai naa ki Jugnu se zyada close ho jaaoge aap ? Bhulo mat, vo 2017 ke din, Shub ko Mumbai leke main hi aaya tha aur duniya bhar ka gaali khaya tha main Lakhwinder uncle se."
Sara: "Arrey mujhe toh sab yaad hai. Tum hi gayab ho aajkal!!"
Subeer: "Haan kuch kaam se bahar tha. Bhaiiiiiiiii."
Subeer almost shouted noticing a tattoo on Shub's right Chest.
Subeer: "Ye kab hua ?? Ye kab banwaya tune? Omg!! Such a biggg tattoo! Abhi tak post kyun nahi kiya hai kuch phir ? Mujhe bhi picture nahi bhejiii tune.??"
Shub: "It's a personal thing, Broooooo."
Subeer: "Saaaale ? Mere saath kya personal! Bataaaaa challl."
Shub: "Arrey!! Got it in July this year! It's an Angel."
Subeer: "Ohhoooo Angel!! To put a stamp on the presence of an actual Angel in his life (said looking at Sara), Shubman Gill has gone ahead and has gotten a tattoo of an Angel?? Is it ??? Am I right or am I right ??"
Shub: (Blushingly) "Bakwaas mat kar."
Subeer: "Main agar bakwaas kar raha hota, tu aise blush naa kar raha hota, mere bhai."
Jugnu: "Thank God tu wapas aa gaya hai! Tere absence me bahut pressure tha mujhpe. Inko chidhaane kaa bhi, aur inko protect karne ka bhi. Ab tu chidha, main protect karunga."
Sara: "Jugnu!! I thought ab hum friends bann gaye the shayad? Subeer, we toh have always been friends, hai na ?"
Subeer: "Haan haan sab friends hain par bhai ne itnaa bada tattoo banwaa diya hai aapke pyaar me. Kya kehna chahengi aap ?"
Sara: "Main kyaa kahoon ? Usne khud se banwaya haii."
Ishan: "Wowww!! Kya baat kahi hai. Vo hume pata hai Sara Bhabhi, aap tattoo artist toh ho nahi waise bhi."
Sara: "I don't think I can win over Jugnu, Subeer and Ishan combined together, at any cost. I give up, Guys!"
Shub: "Don't even try, babe! Ye log paagal hai. You come here, with me."
Ishan: "Haan bhabhi jaao! Aaplog time spend karo. Shub, main nikal jaaunga thodi der me, Okay ? Need to see Aditi too! Kal milte hain wapas phir."
Shub: "Okay bro! Take Care!"
Shub and Sara had finally gotten some alone time!! Shub was just not ready to let go of Sara even for a second. He had kept holding her hand even in front of all his friends when they were out in the hall having chit chat. Holding hands and just sitting close to each other had always been their love language.
Sara: "How do you feel ?"
Shub: "Fine! Not really proud of how I got out at 92!! Also very tired, with the match."
Sara: "I know! I can understand. What time you have to leave tomorrow ?"
Shub: "Morning 8 babe!"
Sara: "Okay, when will you return ?"
Shub: "I have to go to Bangalore from Kolkata. Next match is there on 15th of Oct. If we qualify for the semis, it is in Mumbai, on 15th. So, may be around 13th I will come back to Mumbai."
Sara: "Accha!! Okayyyyyy.!"
Shub: "Sara ??"
Sara: "Haaaan ?"
Shub: "By any chance, are you like upset that I am leaving ?"
Sara: "Upset ? No No No No! I am so proud of you!! It's just a very usual girlfriend feeling. I got to be with you for 3 consecutive days and now I can't even see you for next 10 days, is a bit....... I don't know what is it, but yeah, not a satisfying feeling! I will miss you!"
Shub: "I will miss you every minute, Okay! I get this feeling so often that maybe I am unable to give you enough time! You know you have to tell that to me, any moment you ever feel that way, hai na ?"
Sara: "Yes Yes, I know! But I never feeel so! You don't leave any opportunity to come and see me. I am most of the times in aww of how you manage it all."
Shub: "Don't ask me all that. Only if I could pack you up in my luggage, I would have done that tooo."
Sara: "Lol!! I would have suffocated! I am not coming in luggage and all."
Shub: "Yes, my Princess. I can never do that to you."
Sara: "It's late, you shall sleep na? Have to get up early tomorrow."
Shub: "Yeah! Come na, let's lie down! I will hold you and sleep."
Sara: "Okay Baby! Coming."
Next morning, Shub had an early flight with the team to Kolkata. It was not easy to leave. Sara was still sleeping when he got up to get ready to leave for the airport. As much as he wanted to wake her up, give her some kisses, get some love back from her and then leave, at that very moment, he just couldn't dare to do that. He was getting emotional. He wanted to stay with her for a little longer, which clearly wasn't an option.
Very quitely he kept packing his things, he was almost done is when Sara woke up!
Sara: "You leaving already ?"
Shub: "Hey!! Good Morning my baby! Slept well ?"
Sara: "Yeah! You ?"
Shub: "Yeah! never slept that well since days!"
Sara: "And now you have to leave...."
Shub: "I was not waking you up because leaving you is not easy, it's never easy."
Sara: "Have you lost it ? I would have hated you if I would have woken up and not found you around. You had to, had to wake me up! Also, you are not leaving me, it's your Job, baby! You have to get it done. Baba had to go leaving us, for his matches when we were kids. I have seen it all. So I know it all, I get it all.!! And and and, if you will not leave, I can't start counting days till I see you back naa."
Shub: "Very well put! Now give me a hug!! I will miss you so much."
Sara: "Play well. I Love You! I am Proud of you and I will be rooting & waiting for you."
Shub: "Yeah! I knowwww! Love you more! Will miss you so much. Shall call you back once I reach!"
Sara: "Okay babe."
Shub made sure to align everything with his team about dropping Sara back tocher place! Someone had to be there with Sara till she goes back to her home. After makinf sure everything was aligned he went ahead to join the team for Kolkata.
They were on a flight from Mumbai to Kolkata is when they were told they will have a pre Diwali bash in Bangalore on 11th of Nov as they had a match lined up for the 12th! They could call up their families for the same, if they wanted to and hence were informed prior about the same.
Shub: "Mere ghar wale toh nahi aa paayenge! It's Diwali. They would want to be home for it."
Ishan: "Yeah! Same!! Difficult for family to fly down."
Virat: "Tum logo ka sahi hai. Bss khud se hi assume kar lena hai. I will ask Anushka and confirm, but I do think she will be able to join us."
Shub: "Bhaaiiiii ?"
Virat: "Haaan ?"
Shub: "Maine agar Sara ko bola aane ko. Kaand ho jaayega kyaa.?"
Virat: "Tu bulana chahta hai ?"
Shub: "Confuse hoon."
Virat: "I never called Anushka for aise team festival celebration events before marriage, but times have changed. Kitni baar spot hue ho dono ? Saath me ?"
Shub: "Ek baar, bahut recently vo bhi."
Virat: "Kuch bhi. 2 baar toh vo match dekhne hi aa gayi hai."
Shub: "Bhai par saath me spot nahi hue na ?"
Virat: "Ghatiya logic. That is saath me spot hona hi."
Shub: "LOL OKAYYY Bhai!!."
Virat: "Maine toh media ko bol diya tha jab Anushka and I were dating. Mere se media puchne se pehle hi darti thi."
Shub: "Bhai!! Mere se kisi media wale ki direct kuch puchne ki himmat hi nahi hai. They have never asked my directly! Nobody has ever asked me if I am dating Sara Tendulkar ? All credits to Sara for being the daughter to Sachin Sir."
Virat: "Vo angle tera bahut different hai, Bro!! Like I can feel it. Matlab dating Sachin Sir's daughter. Can you sometimes believe it yourself ki you have done it all ?"
Shub: "I can! Every moment! There is a constant fear! But you know what, the love is always a bit ahead of the fear, so it keeps us sailing."
Virat: "Yeaaaahhhh! My Lover Boy!! If you call her for the Diwali bash, ICT might capture her. So, soch le. I am not sure how are you going to convince the Tendulkars & the Gills on that."
Shub: "Nahi! Rehne deta hooon. They all are a bit shaken with the Jio Plaza clip only! This is so not needed."
Ishan: "Haan main bhi nahi bula raha Aditi ko."
Iyer: "Trisha might join, as she might be in Bangalore only that time around."
Virat: "Good luck bro! Bss ICT ke cameras se door rakhna. They reach everywhere."
Hahaahhaaha!! They all had a laugh over it.
Shub understood he will have to hold his horses! He can't go all out with Sara, in between the World Cup. There was a lot at stake, not worth losing any of it . He only was waiting to play the next 2 matches with utmost sincerity so that he could go back to meet and spend some time with the love of his life!! 🥰
