Mazikeen groaned as she opened her eyes to see bright lights,
"Holy sky, I think I went into the light a little too much,"
She heard a chuckle from beside her,
"You almost did again,"
Mazikeen sighed,
"Does Will know?"
"Yeah, Eddie called him as soon as we were in the ambulance,"
Mazikeen sighed,
"He's going to kill me if Ratchet doesn't first,"
Fig laughed,
"Well, I don't think he told the Autobots yet, but how was that little nap?"
Mazikeen winked at Fig,
"Very rejuvenating. I feel like a new person again."
Fig laughed and put his hand on her shoulder,
"Just stop scaring us,"
Mazikeen winked at him,
"I have to keep you boys on your feet,"
Fig rolled his eyes,
"I just want to stay in Florida, please,"
Mazikeen chuckled and grabbed his hand,
"Thank you,"
Fig smiled softly and squeezed her hand,
"You're welcome, Mynx...now, let's get out of here, the doctors said that when you wake up, we can go,"
Mazikeen raised her eyebrow,
"Really?"
Fig smirked,
"No, but they agreed they can't stop us,"
Mazikeen laughed and slowly sat up, and Fig helped her off the bed. Mazikeen winced,
"Getting shot twice in the same area is not recommended,"
Fig laughed,
"Yeah, it is not,"
"Wait, did you get Phoenix back?"
Fig smirked and nodded,
"Yeah, Eddie gave her to me as soon as I was cleared,"
Mazikeen sighed in relief,
"Good,"
Fig sighed,
"Are you okay?"
Mazikeen looked at him,
"Yeah...why?"
Fig gave her a look,
"Mynx, out with it,"
Mazikeen sighed and glanced at their intertwined hands,
"Fig...Christopher could have been hurt because of me...hell! You could have been seriously hurt...and it would have been all my fault,"
Fig squeezed her hand,
"No...you fucking saved us, Mynx. Maze, if you didn't give me this fancy ass bracelet, I would have gotten shot just as many times as you did. If you weren't so selfless, Christopher would have gotten hurt, but you gave him your best offense and defense so he could get away and to his father. Hell, you were the one that distracted him from immediately setting off that bomb so I could start running to that window to blast it open so we could both live to see another day. Mazikeen, ever since I have known you, you have been selfless, and I know that is who you are. That weird All Spark shit that you got going on? It chose right,"
Mazikeen smiled softly and squeezed his hand back,
"Thank you,"
He helped her out the door, and they slowly walked out to the waiting room, where they saw the crowd of people. Mazikeen smirked,
"Awe, I really feel the love right now,"
Eddie immediately looked up and smiled as soon as he saw Mazikeen,
"Maz,"
He put his hand on her shoulder,
"You truly are stubborn,"
Mazikeen smirked and winked at him,
"You love me for it,"
Everyone walked up to the three soldiers, Buck smiled at her,
"We are all very happy that you are okay,"
Hen smirked,
"You put up a good fight,"
Mazikeen smirked,
"I always do,"
Fig sighed,
"It's a tragedy,"
They all laughed. Bobby put a hand on her shoulder,
"You can always call us. Don't be a stranger, any friend of Eddie's is a friend of ours,"
Mazikeen smiled at him and put her hand over his,
"You call him for help, I'll come,"
Buck smirked,
"But, we will need to figure out those best friend terms,"
Mazikeen glanced at him and smirked,
"I get him when he's with me, and you get him when he's with you,"
Buck shrugged,
"Okay, that's fair,"
𝐖𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐉𝐚𝐳𝐳
Jazz walked over to Optimus,
"Decepticons were dealt with. Can I talk to you about something?"
Optimus nodded,
"Yes, come with me,"
Jazz followed him to his room, and they walked in. Optimus glanced at Jazz,
"What is on your mind?"
Jazz sighed and looked at his servos,
"Something feels off...like a part of me is numb. I think it has something to do with the spark pullings,"
Optimus nodded,
"When did it start? The numbness,"
Jazz sighed,
"Yesterday...After I got to the mission site,"
Optimus brought his servo to his chin,
"Come with me, we will talk to William,"
Jazz tilted his head,
"Will? Why?"
Optimus looked at him,
"Answers, old friend. We will gain answers from William,"
Jazz slowly nodded, and the two left to go talk to him. They found him in the hangar on the phone with Fig.
"Okay, I'll see you soon,"
He turned and saw Optimus and Jazz, and he sighed, knowing that he would not be able to get himself out of this one. Will walked up to them and nodded,
"Okay, I know why you are here. Can you take me to Ratchet first? I'll need to talk to him too,"
The two Autobots shared a look, but Jazz put his servo down for Will to climb onto. They walked in silence until they made it to the medical bay where Jolt and Ratchet were working. Ratchet looked up as they walked in and immediately saw that something was wrong,
"Jolt, go take a break,"
Jolt sighed but did not argue as he walked out. Ratchet put everything down and looked at the three,
"What happened?"
Optimus looked at Will,
"I am hoping that William would be able to tell us,"
Will nodded, and Jazz sat him down on the counter,
"Before I say anything, I want you all to promise me to not immediately leave the base,"
They all nodded and promised. Will sighed,
"Yesterday, I got a call from the general about someone escaping a big prison. That person was the one that attacked Mynx a while ago. I called Fig to go over to make sure she was okay and would remain safe. But I couldn't tell any of you guys because I was under strict orders to keep it between myself and three more people. I got a call from Eddie earlier, and he said that she was alright. The guy was dead, but Mynx got shot two times. She is okay. I just got off the phone with Eddie again, and she is coming back to base as we speak. I know that it was unfair that I did not tell any of you, trust me. I got eaten alive by Sideswipe and Sunstreaker last night,"
Jazz crossed his arms,
"How come you told them?"
Will sighed and ran his hand through his hair,
"Well, they barged into my room last night in their holo-forms very worried because they could not sense Mynx through the sibling bond that the three have. I knew that they would never leave if I didn't tell them, and I also made them promise to not leave the base until she was back here,"
Optimus knelt down in front of him,
"We understand the reasoning, but please tell us next time...I will make sure no one interferes and harms any humans,"
Will smiled and nodded,
"I promise,"
Ratchet grumbled,
"Was it her torso?"
Will winced and nodded,
"Yeah,"
Ratchet sighed,
"And right after her stab wound was fully healed. She is going to offline me,"
Will smirked,
"Sorry, Ratchet, but she's going to kill me long before you, she's been at it for almost six years,"
Jazz frowned,
"But, she will be okay?"
Will smiled softly and nodded,
"Yeah, she will be. She helped Eddie's son stay safe the entire time, and she gave him the greatest gift ever,"
"What was that?"
Will smiled largely at Optimus,
"Christopher was able to fly, and stand on his own...for the first time in his life,"
Ratchet's optics narrowed,
"Phoenix?"
Will laughed and nodded,
"Yes, she got Phoenix to take him away, I'm not sure how the fuck it works, but Phoenix got on him and took him away to Eddie,"
Jazz facepalmed,
"Her only true defense,"
Will winced and nodded,
"Yeah, that is something that needs to be worked on...but I know she will be very busy working on getting us force shields to protect us,"
Ratchet sighed,
"Which means that she will be in here all day,"
Will laughed,
"Possibly, but she will also be in her room at that work bench...I'll have to make sure she sleeps,"
Jazz nodded,
"I will,"
Optimus and Ratchet shared a brief look, and Will looked up at Jazz,
"Do you guys not need to recharge?"
Jazz shrugged,
"Less than humans do,"
Will nodded,
"Okay, I'm going to make sure her room is all set up. You guys will know when she is here,"
Optimus nodded and smiled,
"I am positive we will know,"
Ratchet grumbled,
"With how loud those twins will be, the entire base will know,"
They all laughed, and Will left. Optimus put his servo on Jazz's shoulder,
"Are you feeling better, now?"
Jazz sighed,
"I am very confused now,"
Ratchet looked at him,
"Why?"
Jazz sat down on a bed,
"Will said that the twins were feeling numb because of the bond they have with Lil M, so why did I feel numb at the same time as they do?"
Ratchet sighed,
"Because you, my friend, have a bond with Maze as well...we all do,"
Optimus nodded,
"The bond that each of us has with Mazikeen is different. The bond that the three of you have with her is stronger,"
"Why is that?"
Ratchet rolled his optics,
"You three have a different bond with her, and it is up to you to figure out what kind,"
Jazz sighed,
"That is all too confusing,"
Ratchet chuckled,
"It is not meant to be easy,"
Jazz nodded,
"I guess so,"
Optimus patted his shoulder,
"Go get some rest. You did just come back from a mission. You will know when Mazikeen is here,"
Jazz nodded and left the two alone. Ratchet crossed his arms,
"He is completely oblivious,"
Optimus chuckled and nodded,
"He will learn...it might take a while,"
"A long time,"
"For their sake...we must hope that it is not too late when they realize,"
Ratchet nodded,
"They will figure it out. Maze is a smart girl,"
Optimus nodded,
"Yes, she is,"
