Irene's Pov
I stared in awe at the view in front of me, it is not something to be in awe of since it is just a place full of sand and rocks, but nonetheless it looks very mysterious and I like solving puzzles
Me, the ninja and Elder Wu went to hide behind a huge boulder, looking around the place like secrets spies
Actually... If this is not a kids show, the ninja would have been spotted easily. I mean, who wears colorful gi in plain sights?
I chuckled silently to myself, looking at the expression of concentration on their faces, then move my head to look onward
Cave of Despair- the place where the Scythe of Quakes are guarded. If I remember correctly, this is where Cole's future dragon resides in to protect the Scythe of Quakes I believe
Watch towers are seen built at different angles made out of bones, clearly a work of the Skulkins to watch for some troubles during their search
If you look closely at the distance, you could see some Skulkins look through rocks in hopes of looking for the Scythe, which kinda looks stupid but also adorable
I mean, who search through small and tiny rocks for some huge and heavy Golden Scythe?
While traveling here, Elder Wu have explained to me about the Golden Weapons. I was kinda shocked when he told me earlier than I predicted he would
He told me about how we are gonna get the Golden Weapons before some Skulkins named Samukai who is Lord Garmadon's lackey
He even told me about spinjitzu! I think I earned his favor enough for him to tell me mostly the information he told the ninja
"The Caves of Despair. Samukai must be close to unearthing the Scythe of Quakes. Remember, do not use the weapon. For its power is too much for a mere mortal to handle" Elder Wu advised and reminded the ninja
I felt a large grin form on my face when Jay actually listened and did not disturb Elder Wu's reminders like in the episode. I don't know if it's a bad thing but I think it is good for him
"Alright, guys-" Jay glance at my large grin
"- and little sis. Let's chop-socky this lemonade stand! Cole, you got the plan?" He added then proceed to look at Cole
While Cole is explaining his plan to get the Scythe of Quakes before Samukai. I was glancing at Kai who has a look of ponder
Before I could even call him out. He suddenly jump away from our hiding spot and went to another boulder
He turned to look at me, his eyes smiling sheepishly from behind his mask at being caught, but I just put a encouraging smile on my face
He gave me a salute then went to jump and hide in another boulder
I turned to the other ninja's, a little string of guilt tied itself inside my stomach when I literally encouraged Kai to go and sneak away without the others permission, I did not regret it though. However, I felt bad for not telling the others beforehand
With a sigh, I grabbed Jay's and Cole's sleeves then tug it a few times until they avert their attention from their plan towards me
I smiled sheepishly, a bit guilty from telling them late, then raised my hand that was tugging Cole's sleeves and point my index finger at Kai's hiding spot
"He went first. I'm sorry I couldn't stop him"
Cole groaned Kai's name before he patted my head, messing a few of my brown strands. I pretend to not have seen big brother's fuming mumbling then he patted my head neatly
"Stay here, Irene" Jay said before glancing a glare at Cole
"Let's go!" He added as he and the other two ninja jump off the boulder to follow Kai's footsteps
I huffed in amusement then turned to Elder Wu, a smile on my face
"Elder if I may ask. Can you please tell me the first interaction you have with the ninja?" I asked softly, sitting beside Elder Wu with interest and eagerness clearly in my voice
Elder Wu chuckled at my enthusiasm then nodded
Let's just say, their interaction is quite hilarious
While me and Elder Wu talk about any topics we can think of that is actually interesting in both our parts. I suddenly heard a familiar loud yell that echoes
'COOL!'
I slightly flinched then rubbed my ear. This is one of the problems when I activate my 'Sharpen Senses', it actually harms me, especially when all my senses turned sensitive
Elder Wu send me a look of concern and confusion from my sudden action "What seems to be the problem, Irene?" He asked
I shrugged my shoulders, pretending that I did not know whose voice was that "I think I heard something loud" I said
There's no doubt that it's Jay's voice, it must be the time when they saw the Scythe of Quakes and Jay's yelling that attract the attention of the Skulkins
A small smile formed on my face He may have changed a bit, but he is still the loud one in the team
Elder Wu nodded, then we continue our conversation as if nothing has happened
Third person POV
Irene unnoticeably stiffens when she hears a sound of distance rumbling and otherworldly roaring thanks from her 'Sharpen Senses', yet she ignores it, knowing that it's the ninja seeing a dragon for the first time and running away from it successfully
Meanwhile, the ninja are running away from the Earth dragon that guards the Scythe of Quakes, the creature assuming they are there to steal the Golden Weapon and use it wrongly
"I thought dragons weren't from this world!" Cole spoke in sheer panic, him being the most exaggerating one out of the four because of his fear of dragons
Kai unwrapped the piece of cloth that covers the Scythe of Quakes then proceed to stand on a stance of defense
Jay, who saw his action, tries to stopped him "No no, Kai! Bad idea! Sensei told us not to!" He said frantically in panic with a troubled expression
Kai clearly did not listen. He turned to Jay "Then you better keep your mouth shut!" He said harshly then ran in front of the dragon with the Scythe in hand
"Kai! DON'T!" Cole shouted as Kai raised the Scythe and slammed the blade on the earth in front of the dragon
The power of the Scythe caused rumbles to echoes, followed by falling debris that fell on the dragon who did not expect the attack and was distracted
The ninja took that distraction to retreat and run away as far as possible from the dragon, but the dragon is still catching on their tail
"We gotta escape!" Kai yelled and coincidentally, the earth above them is split open because of the chain reaction of the falling debris and rumbles, giving them the opportunity to escape
"We'll use Spinjitzu!" Cole said as they grabbed their weapons and used spinjitzu to swish their way out before the dragon could grab them
Meanwhile at Irene's side
Irene glances at the silently fuming Master Wu who is standing still and waiting for the ninja to appear
She silently gulp, but nonetheless excited to see the spinjitzu of the ninja
In cue, four tiny tornadoes are seen escaping through a gap on the earth. One of each tornadoes with unique traits
Cole's tornadoes are made out of brown and black color colors, with sand and rocks to present his real power
Zane's tornadoes are made out of white and silver color, with snowflakes and snow that actually shines bright than the others
Kai's tornadoes are made out of red orange and yellow colors, with flashes heat and blazing temperature
Jay tornadoes on the other hand are made out of blue and indigo color, with zaps of blue lightning appearing most of the time
Irene's eyes brighten as a large smile forms on her face, proud at the achievements of the ninja and at the beauty of the spinjitzu, while Master Wu on the other hand are... Well
The ninja on the other hand were ecstatic to even realize the situation they are in. And Irene can only deadpan at their ignorance
"That was so awesome!"
"Yes! We are unbelievable!"
"We are the best!"
"Did you see that?! I was like "pow"! And you were like "bam"!"
"ENOUGH!" Master Wu burst, clearly infuriated and Irene just in time inactivated her 'Sharpen Senses', because if she did not, her eardrums would be ringing
All four ninja pause and pay attention to Master Wu, guilt clearly in their postures and expression
"I told you not to use the Scythe!" Master Wu scolded in sheer anger and frustration from the lack of obligation from his students
"He did it" Jay pointed at Kai. Irene facepalm silently while Kai let out a 'What' of surprise
"I warned him, Sensei" Cole explained with a nonchalant shrugged while Kai took a step forward towards the fuming sensei
"Using it was my only option" Kai explains as Master Wu walk towards him
"And what makes you think you're more important than the team, huh?! HUH?!"
Kai started fuming, his eyes narrowing at anger at Master Wu's word
"They took my sister, remember?!"
Irene, who was silent the whole time can only glance at Kai with a sympathetic look in her grey orbs
Master Wu let out a small sigh before he said "There are still three Weapons left. Maybe next time you can do it right" Master Wu turned to walk back to the carriage and he was followed by the three ninja
Kai, who was left to follow them, went to trail behind as he contemplated at his actions while also wrapping a piece of clothe on the Scythe of Quakes
Irene silently walks beside him, her long brunette hair bouncing as she took each step
"You did the option you see is the only choice, Kai. It's not your fault" Irene reassured. She put a hand on his shoulder in silent comfort
"But I did not listen to Sensei's warning" Kai spoke, his eyes narrowing harshly from his own mistake
Irene smiles, patting his shoulder "Even if it's a warning or a rule you should not break, it is normal to go against it" Kai raised a confused eyebrow
"In my eyes, I know you did the right thing, Kai. You used the Scythe not only for yourself but for the other three, and for you guys to escape the threat and avoid possible harms. It is not a mistake, in fact, it is what they call quick thinking. If it weren't for your quick idea, whatever is in there must have grabbed you guys for dinner" Irene chuckled at that though
She stared straight, unaware at the eyes on the side of her face that starts to grew and lighten at her words
"You are a hero out there, Kai" Irene grins brightly as she turned to Kai, her face brightening slightly as the sunset adored her light tan colored skin with her grey orbs glistering like jewels
Kai's eyes soften at the sight before him, a small smile form on his face as his cheek burns
Pretty
"You don't need a path created for you, Kai. You need a path you created yourself" Irene's smile softens as flashes of memory came rushing in her mind like a rollercoaster
Memories of the time when Kai unlock his true potential
"Anyway! Good job out there, Kai! I hope you will still continue to do a great job!" Irene cheered as she let her hand slip from Kai's shoulder to her side
Kai's small smile widens into a genuine one, a spark of gratitude seen in his eyes as his cheek burns even more
"Thank you, Irene..." Kai trailed off. He is thankful for Irene's comfort, presence and words, yet he does not know any words to express his true feelings
Irene smiles widen, understanding the meaning behind his words
"You're welcome!" Irene flashes a large grin as she then skips to the front of the group, her face brightening when she turned to face the four ninja
"Now~ Can you guys tell me what happened inside the cave? And don't miss out how you guys did the spinjitzu!" Irene spoke in enthusiasm as the ninja did not waste a time telling her everything
The travel from the Cave of Despair towards the Ice temple to get the second Golden Weapon of Spinjitzu was full of laughter and chatters
Mostly from the ninja and Irene who talks about any topics they could think off and Master Wu listening to them
Irene may have to admit, it is fun reincarnated in a world of cartoon after all
[Host, it is time for your daily mission]
Irene hummed to let Sysa know that she is listening, which caused the pastel hologram to appeared in thin air and form words
[Ding! New mission!]

Master Wu: *Drinks tea* Their conversation is better off not being known, Irene
Irene: *nods hesitantly* Okay...? My brother is not normal this wild though

Cole: Can you feed me, Irene?
Irene: Okay— *was about to grabbed a spoon*
Jay: *Took spoon fork Irene's hand and slowly turned to Cole* I'll feed you~ *His face darken*
Cole: *gulps* B-But you would only shove it to my throat
Jay: *Laugh darkly* Exactly, now stay still—
Cole: *Run off screaming*
Irene: What happened?
Master Wu: *Drinks tea*
Zane: *blinks*

Irene: Oh you don't have too—
Jay appeared peeking his head out from a corner as he spied obviously
Zane: ...
Irene: ...
Jay: I am watching you *He uses two of his fingers to point at his eyes then to Zane's direction, and he slowly slipped into the corner's shadow*
Irene: ... I apologize Zane
Zane: You have nothing to apologize for

Author ∆: Thankfully I gained a bit of motivation after watching a few episodes thanks to @CookieKittySprinkle. It's a short chapter though but acceptable. And THANKFULLY I have no class for two days so perhaps I'll also publish another chapter soon.
