My son has been attending his new school for a week now and he loves it. He's already made a friend and he doesn't feel left out like he used to at his. He loves his new school and he's so happy he switched to school. I now see a smile on my son's face every day now when he gets home from school and not a sad one like they're used to be.
I told everyone at the house that my son got into the school. I told them that my son might be changing schools because one day I came into the station not myself like everyone could tell I was annoyed because I picked my son up from school to find out that he was left out and didn't want to go to school anymore. They were all really happy.
And in two days, we are telling Christopher about his dad. Eddie asked me the other day. And I told him I would let Christopher know about him when we made that deal. And Christopher is now settled in and now it's time to make that deal happen. Eddie's gonna come over to her house in two days and we're going to sit down with Christopher and tell him.
Eddie told me that he told Shannon about Christopher and he said she didn't sound too happy. he said she was pissed because I kept something from him and I shouldn't have but then she also realized that this means she has a son now since she's married to Eddie and Christopher is now Shannon's step kid! I do not want that woman to be my son's mother! Something tells me, Shannon's gonna wanna fight for custody, Eddie has that feeling also since she already mentioned the word custody to him, and that he should fight for it. And he told me he doesn't want to do that because he knows how much it will break because he knows they will win!
We're also planning on telling the team about me and Eddie's past and how he is Christopher's father. we're planning on telling them sometime next week since they're gonna be seeing Christopher around Eddie a lot and calling him dad! I talked to my father and Athena about everything they think it's time we tell everyone. And that truths are going to come out and they can't be kept a secret more longer.
I've also grown closer to Athena and she is starting to feel like a mother figure to me. Me and May are also growing closer, we've been hanging out a lot more often now and we're starting to feel like sisters. I really hope my dad marries Athena because I would love to call May my sister!
Next month is Christmas and I can't wait! I love spending Christmas with family! Me and my dad would spend Christmas together with Christopher. My favorite thing about Christmas is spending it with family. Me and family on Christmas is all I want! But this year I'm spending it with my dad, Athena, her kids and some friends. That's there plan so far but it might change. There still time!
I heard that yesterday was a very interesting call! Where there was a girl named Lola on a highway sign trying to get the attention of her husband. I have heard that it was not the greatest call but things turned out good at the end. kind of wish I was there to see it happen, I wasn't working yesterday because Christopher had a cold and I got to be there for my kid. Even though I have Carla, when Christopher is sick, I don't really like when she comes over because I don't want her to get sick. Which she understands, but she always says if I ever need her when he's sick just call her. The only time I would actually do that is if me and Christopher were sick and I couldn't really do anything to take care of him. When we both had the flu, I was able to take care of myself and Christopher but I did have some slight help from my dad with him bringing medicine and soup since I wasn't in the mood to cook anything!
Gas station call again! We get called here a lot because of the same person robbing. We get called to them a lot because some guy and his side chick rob it! This guy has like so many girlfriend, somtimes it's the same one and sometimes it's not.
"Oh Buck is back" I say after hearing Bobby and Buck talking about Buck with the reporter who they saved during the time I was out. Which she also did a documentary on the station which I was also not in because that was also during the time I was out, but my name was mentioned a few times in it by my coworkers.
"We're not, I ran into her at this bar, and next thing you know we're having sex in the bathroom. I kind feel weird about it " he says
"Yeah which part" Bobby ask
"I just thought I'd stop being that guy, I thought Abby had changed me. I'm single for like a day and I'm right back at it?" Buck says
"Well Buck you've been single for months" my dad says and walks away
"Why does everyone keep saying that?" Buck says and looks at me. He really does not understand why.
"don't hate me for this, but everyone saying it because it's true. She left you to travel the world and how many times do you talk over the phone?" I say and he doesn't know how to answer me with that
"Traveling the world, she was actually leaving you for good so you can move on and find someone else" I say and he starts understanding why people are saying that
"Oh" he say and I give him a hug since I can tell he's feeling sad
We then head inside to help assist in anyway we can. I am technically not a paramedic so I can't help in any medical way but I haven't told anyone I'm planning on going back to the Academy to train to be a paramedic. I haven't told anyone that and I'm planning on really looking into it in the new year!
We help our patients to make them better, but then they're getting turned over to the authorities. Buck keeps talking about the reporter, to think about it, they might be kind of cute together. But at the same time, there's some thing that annoys me about her. there's just something about her that just annoys me and I can't figure out what it is. I met her after the documentary aired on TV and I just got this weird feeling from her. Maybe I could've just been off that day or something, idk!
But at the end of the call love appeared! Earl confessed, something for his coworker Ruth. Last time I came to this gas station there was something about those two! I could see that they were meant to be, I used to go here when o was pregnant for snacks. Hehe!
~two days later~
I ended up taking the next couple of days off. There was things I needed to get done at home since our kitchen sink broke the other day and The house is a slight mess and I just need to get stuff done.
Today is also the day Eddie is coming over. Today is the day we tell my son that Eddie is his father. Eddie also took the day off to spend it with Christopher since we don't know how this is gonna go and how long it's going to take.
We don't know if Christopher is going to be accepting or declining and not want anything to do with him. I'm currently on my way to pick Christopher up from school early, I gave the School a heads up that I was coming to pick him up early since they would like to know in advance if you're coming to pick up or not.
"Hey buddy" I say picking him up from the main office where parents pick up their kids early. I signed my son out for the day and we head back to my car.
"Mommy" he asks in the car and we're settled and ready to go
"Yes bud" I ask
"Why did you pick me up from school early? I don't have a doctors appointment and we don't have anything special going on" he ask
"Well we're meeting with someone in a little while. That's why I had to pick you up early, if I left you until school ended for the day, no one would be able to pick you up" I say and he nods understanding. I also gave Carla a few days off since I'm off from work. She's done a lot for us the past couple of weeks and I feel like she deserves a break.
We drive to the house and settle in. Christopher goes to his room to read for a little bit while I make the living room look nicer since I just texted Eddie saying we are home. Because I told him when I text him that he can start making his way over.
About 15 minutes later I hear a knock on the door. ok this is it, everything will go ok right? There's nothing to really be nervous about except if Christopher will except his father. Just breathe Alyssa. Everything will be fine!
"Hey" I say answering the door
"Hey" he says, He dressed up a little bit nice. He's wearing a nice T-shirt with jeans. Still the jeans type of person! Back in high school all he wore with jeans. I think I only saw him a few times where something that was not jeans like shorts or sweat pants.
"Come on in" I say and he nods. He comes in and sits on the couch, but once he sits on the couch, I can tell how nervous he is.
"Hey, It will be ok! There was a chance that he will accept you as his father" I say and he nods but he still doesn't believe
"How do you know that" he asks nervous
"he asked about you recently. He asked about his father, and wanted to know when he will ever meet you" I say and he nods. His nerves slightly start to disappear a little after I told him that comment. But I didn't tell him that the reason why Christopher wants to know his father is so his father can get back together and be a happy family. All Christopher wants is to have a happy family and not separated parents. It hurts me that I can't give him that.
"I'm going to get him, is there anything you need before I get him" I ask and he nods no. I walked down the hall, and I knocked on Christopher's door. During the day will keep his door closed sometimes but at night we keep it open in case he needs anything, and I always leave my door open for him if he needs to come in and snuggle during the night.
"Hey bud, can you come to the living room for a little bit?" I say and he nods. He makes his way to the living room, and I follow right behind him.
"Eddie" he says excited to see him. Christopher has been asking when he can see the team again since he bonded so well with them during the time I had to bring him to work with me
"Hey Christopher" Eddie says
"Are you here to play another game of Jenga?" Christopher asked Eddie. When I brought Christopher to my job. He played Jenga with Eddie and Christopher ended up winning twice because Eddie wanted to go again since he lost twice.
"No chris" Eddie says and looks at me not knowing what to really say. I take this as the chance to start it up and tell him.
"Hey bud, you know how you asked me a few weeks ago that you want to meet your dad" I ask him and he nods
"Well Christopher this is your dad Eddie" I say and he looks confused
"Your my dad" Christopher ask Eddie looking at him
"Yeah, I am bud" Eddie says and I can tell he's really nervous, not knowing how Christopher will react. But he's thrown off when Christopher gives him a hug.
"Hi dad" Christopher says hugging Eddie
"Hi son" Eddie says and it sounds so weird hearing Eddie say that
"Wait does this mean we can be a happy family" Christopher ask us looking at Eddie and then me. I look at Eddie not knowing what to say since I don't wanna break my son's heart
"Yes bud" Eddie says with a smiles
"Yay, so this means you'll move in and Mom and you will be together" Christopher asks
"No bud" I say
"Why" he says sad
"Bud, your father is married so he can't move in with us, but he will come visit a lot. He will come over whenever he wants" I say sad and sad at first but then he understands at the end
"Ok" he says and hugs me
"Are you happy you met your father" I ask him and he nods
"So happy" he says and I smile
"Hey are you ok if I take them out for a bit?" Eddie asks and I nod
"Yeah of course" I say, Eddie mentioned if everything goes well, he asked me if he could take Christopher out for a little bit to get to know him better and have some father son time. Which I'm totally fine with that!
We both go out for a little bit and I give Eddie a rundown of certain things he should do when he takes him in public since there's certain things Christopher might struggle with I might need a little help with. One major thing is getting in and out of Eddie's truck. my car is a little low than Eddie and Christopher can get into my car with no issue but with Eddie he struggled a lot at first.
They were out for four hours. I found out they went to the park and then they got ice cream. It wasn't anything too crazy. Eddie said it went really well and he got to learn more about about his son. I did talk to Christopher afterwards to see how it went and he said it was awesome but he missed having me around.
My biggest concern is when he meets Shannon! I'm really nervous for that but I also don't like Shannon at all. And with that nasty look when she saw me the one time, I don't trust her at all you're my son.
