Epps nudged Will,
"Want to start the bets again?"
Will laughed and Jazz stopped by them,
"Bets?"
The two looked up at him and nodded. Epps smirked,
"Yeah, let's see which one gets the nerves this time,"
Will laughed and punched Epps' shoulder,
"Bobby, you know how they left it off, it's not the same this time,"
Epps raised his hands in surrender,
"Hey now, you say that to Mynx's smile,"
Every Autobot turned to their conversation, the two were the only humans left in the hangar now. Ratchet tilted his head,
"What about Maze's smile,"
Will smiled softly and glanced at the door,
"Mynx always has a tendency of hiding her true emotions, but you can tell when she is truly happy...and she is right now,"
Jazz crossed his arms,
"What about with her brother?"
Epps nodded his head,
"She is, just not with her parents around,"
Will nodded,
"She has a horrible relationship with her parents, which you saw when you went with her, Jazz,"
Jazz sighed and nodded,
"Yeah,"
Optimus finally spoke again,
"Who is this Eddie to her?"
Will and Epps shared a look and Will sighed,
"That, my friend, is something we don't know just yet. They did date when we first formed our squad, but they broke up after Eddie joined us for one tour. It was mutual...but I know they both did not want to."
Ironhide frowned,
"Why did they?"
Epps sighed,
"There were some things that happened on our tour...and it effected them both pretty bad. Eddie got shot and he almost didn't make it, but Mynx saved his life...but the thing is, he took the bullet for her, and Mynx does not like having people risk their life for her, never did. He decided that he wanted a break from the army to go home and look after his son...then he left and Mynx closed herself off for a week, she felt guilty that she wasn't able to help him more,"
"And that, my giant friends, is the story behind Mynx and Eddie...they were always together back then, never one without the other."
Sunstreaker crossed his arms,
"If he hurts our sister, he will get hurt,"
Will laughed and patted his foot,
"Trust me, Sunstreaker, I told him that when he finally asked her out. I'll tell you what he said to me. 'Sir, if I hurt her, you have to put a bullet in my skull because there is no way in hell that's me,'"
Sideswipe nodded,
"Suitable,"
Epps laughed and nodded,
"When I tell you, Will looked like he was punched in the gut. I bet you he wished he said that to Sarah's dad!"
Will glared at him as all the Autobots laughed except one. Ratchet nodded,
"Will, can you show me to the medical bay?"
Will nodded,
"Yep, Epps go check up on the recruits to see if they found their dorms okay,"
Epps smirked,
"Can I show Eddie to his,"
Will rolled his eyes and slapped his shoulder,
"Let him and Mynx catch up, it's been two years,"
Epps raised his hands in surrender,
"Fine fine, you sound like a father,"
Will pointed a finger at him,
"I am one,"
Epps shrugged,
"Okay okay, I won't bother the lovebirds,"
Will shook his head,
"I dare you to try calling them that in front of Mynx,"
Epps smirked and looked at Jazz,
"If Mynx tries jumping me, will you graciously lift me up and away from her?"
Jazz raised his hands in surrender,
"Hey, I am sticking out of this! That's my charge and I don't want her to throw sand at me in retaliation,"
Will and Epps immediately laughed. Will patted his foot,
"She told you why she hates sand?"
Jazz nodded,
"Yes,"
Will shrugged,
"I think she still wants to kill us for having our new base on an island,"
Jazz smirked and nodded,
"Definitely does,"
Epps sighed,
"Time to lock the doors at night,"
Will laughed and put a hand on his shoulder,
"That never stopped Mynx, and will never stop her,"
Epps shrugged,
"It makes me feel safer,"
"Sure it does,"
Epps sighed,
"Okay, okay, I'm leaving, talk to you later, commander,"
Will nodded his head,
"Talk to you later, captain, try to not piss off Mynx more,"
Epps smirked and winked at him,
"Hey, if the opportunity is there, I will take it,"
Will just chuckled as he watched Epps leave. Optimus knelt down by Will,
"Successful start,"
Will smiled and nodded,
"Yes, I would have preferred to start it without someone being sexist, but Mynx and Eddie handled it,"
Optimus nodded,
"Yes, I am not sure how much longer I could hold everyone back,"
Will nodded,
"I understand, I felt the same way. Can you just remind everyone not to fight humans, and if they have any issues, go to one of us? Mynx definitely said that by now, but she will most likely be busy the rest of the day catching up with Eddie and getting her phone working,"
Optimus nodded,
"Is it true what you said about Eddie and Mazikeen? They are no longer, I believe the term is dating?"
Will nodded,
"Yeah...which is very sad...but I think it was the right person but wrong time,"
Optimus tilted his head in confusion,
"What does that mean?"
Will smiled sadly as he sighed,
"Mynx joined the army at 18, Epps and I met her when she finished training right before she turned 19...then we all met Eddie a year later when we started training as a squad near his. He was a field medic in that squad. Those two got close and everywhere you saw one, the other was right behind them. Then we started being sent out on tours. Then during our small break one time, he asked her out after asking permission from Epps, Fig, and I. They started dating until we were all sent out on tour together...that was when Eddie took the bullet, and they argued for the first time ever as he was recovering. They decided that it wasn't a good time to be in a relationship during deployment...Eddie went home, and that was the last time we heard from him. Then he sent us a postcard of him with his son and a fire department squad, he was living a normal life again. They were perfect for each other, and they truly loved the other, Prime...but Mynx...well...she never ever had a break throughout her life, she was born to fight and she did not want to give up the fight, Eddie wanted to go home, it was a wrong time for both of them."
Optimus slowly nodded,
"I understand...so because Eddie was not ready to continue fighting, to keep going on what you humans call a tour, he left Mazikeen and Mazikeen was not ready to put away the weapons, to leave the fight, so she left Eddie. I have a question now for you, William,"
Will nodded,
"What is stopping the two from continuing what they had? If they are both back in the fight at the same place?"
Will sighed and looked at Optimus,
"That, my friend, is something I wish I could answer...it is up to the two of them...if they still have feelings for each other or not,"
"Feelings?"
Will nodded,
"Yes, Jazz mentioned a few days ago, he felt a pull at his...spark? That is what we call feelings. When someone loves another, they want to be near that person as much as possible. They make them happy, laugh, and feel at peace."
Optimus nodded,
"I believe I understand what you are talking about. Thank you, Commander,"
Will smiled and patted his foot,
"Not a problem, Prime. I am happy to help you guys as much as you help us."
Optimus nodded, and they went their separate ways.
