Ratchet scanned over Mazikeen one more time as Bumblebee, Jazz, Mikaela, Sam, and Rover watched.
"You are all set to go, Mazikeen,"
He turned to the two Autobots and pointed at Jazz,
"I swear to Primus, if she returns with this wound opened up again, I will throw my wrench at you,"
Jazz raised his servos up in defense,
"I know, I know, I promise to look after my charge,"
Ratchet nodded and Sam cheered,
"Hell yeah! Let's go! I can't wait to see Mom and Dad's looks on their faces!"
Mazikeen smiled and laughed,
"Yeah, let's go,"
Jazz quickly put his servo down and Mazikeen climbed onto it and waved at Ratchet,
"Bye Ratch! See you tomorrow!"
Ratchet waved at her,
"Goodbye, Maze,"
Mazikeen smirked,
"Finally,"
Mikaela looked at her,
"You ready to head home?"
Mazikeen nodded,
"Yep,"
Bumblebee and Jazz let the humans down and transformed into their alt modes and the humans and droid quickly got in. Mazikeen sat in the passenger seat and smiled as she saw Sam and Mikaela next to each other in Bumblebee's alt mode.
"You feeling okay, lil M?"
Mazikeen nodded,
"Yep, I am as ready as I could be,"
"Good, just reminding ya, I am here if you need me,"
Mazikeen smiled softly and patted his dashboard,
"Thanks, Jazz,"
She felt her seatbelt tighten softly around her,
"Anytime, lil M,"
Mazikeen smiled and stared out the window the entire drive, Jazz deciding to turn on the radio so they could listen to music. Bumblebee first dropped off Mikaela at her house after she requested so she would not interfere with the family time. Mazikeen frowned when she saw the familiar house but shook it off as she saw Sam get out and run to the door, quickly being followed by Rover. The front door opened and Sam was quickly engulfed in hugs by Judy Witwicky,
"Oh, my dear son! I was so worried! Are you okay?"
Sam nodded,
"I am more than okay! Are you guys okay?"
Ron smiled and nodded,
"Yes, now what happened?"
Sam smiled and quickly explained the Autobots and Bumblebee slowly drove closer to them and Sam pointed at him,
"This is Bumblebee, he is my guardian!"
Judy and Ron gasped as he transformed and waved at them,
"Oh my god,"
"Hello!"
Ron slowly waved back, and Judy pointed at him,
"If you let my son get hurt, I will make sure that you rust,"
Sam facepalmed and glanced at the silver Pontiac Solstice and smiled,
"I actually have a surprise for you guys,"
Judy looked at him,
"What kind of surprise?"
Sam smiled,
"COME OUT!"
Mazikeen glanced at Jazz's dashboard before nodding at herself. She slowly got out and walked over to her baby brother. Her parents gasped, and Ron immediately brought her into a hug,
"Mazikeen,"
Mazikeen smiled and hugged him back,
"Hi, dad,"
Judy gasped,
"Impossible,"
Mazikeen and Ron got out of the hug, and she turned to her mother,
"I wasn't killed in action, I escaped with my squad,"
Judy slowly nodded and pulled her into a soft hug,
"We have to catch up right away,"
Mazikeen softly laughed and nodded,
"Yeah, five years of catching up,"
Ron looked at her,
"Are you finally home?"
Mazikeen sighed and shook her head,
"I am only here for one day, I go back tomorrow,"
Ron nodded sadly,
"I thought so,"
Mazikeen put a hand on his shoulder,
"But I will visit again,"
Judy sighed and nodded,
"Okay, let's go into the garage, Sam go inside with Rover,"
Sam frowned,
"But-"
"No buts, go inside so we can talk to your older sister,"
Sam sighed and glanced down at Rover,
"Come on, Rover,"
Rover nodded,
"Coming,"
Mazikeen followed her parents into the garage and saw her dusty work bench and she smiled softly as she remembered spending many nights on that bench. Judy crossed her arms,
"Why did you never visit, Mazikeen?"
Mazikeen sighed,
"I wasn't prepared,"
"How were you not prepared?"
"I didn't want to hurt anyone,"
"Didn't you think that we deserved to have a visit? You only called Sam! Never us. You stopped that when Sam finally got his own phone,"
Mazikeen sighed and sat down,
"I knew you would only lecture me,"
Judy frowned,
"On what?!"
Ron immediately put a hand on his wife's shoulder,
"Judy-"
"No! Not right now Ron, let her talk,"
Mazikeen stared at her mother,
"You never accepted me after I told you that I wanted to join the army! You always said that it was never meant for girls!"
"Because it is not! Why do you think they never draft girls?! I'm surprised you weren't sent back home after a month! That's the only reason I let you go in the first place."
Mazikeen's eyes widened and she immediately stood up,
"What?"
Judy sighed and nodded,
"I thought you were going to be sent back home after a month. That's why I told you to go ahead and join."
Mazikeen shook her head and looked at her father,
"Is that what you thought too?"
Ron sighed and shook his head,
"Mazikeen, I always believed you could do it...I was just worried about you,"
Mazikeen crossed her arms,
"I knew you never believed in me, mom...You never did even when my inventions would work, you never cared,"
"Oh, honey, of course I cared...it's just that...girls don't do that kind of stuff. You would have made a great teacher, or a chef, or a model even!"
Mazikeen finally let a tear fall,
"BUT I DON'T LIKE THAT SHIT!"
Judy glared at her,
"Don't you curse at me, I am your mother!"
Mazikeen shook her head,
"No you are not! A mother does not scorn her daughter for being herself! You never accepted me for me!"
Ron sighed,
"She does sweetheart,"
Mazikeen shook her head,
"Then you are in denial...I should have never come home."
Judy frowned,
"You don't mean that,"
Mazikeen started walking out,
"Yes...yes I do. I'm only here for Sammy."
"You are so selfish!"
Mazikeen turned around and glared at her mother,
"I am not! I came to try to fix everything between us! But that's just not going to happen. I finally learned to accept that. You should too,"
Mazikeen immediately walked out and heard Jazz's engine rev up. She glanced at him and smiled sadly as she wiped her eyes quickly and entered the house. Rover immediately ran to her and jumped on her arm,
"Maze, are you okay?"
Mazikeen giggled and nodded,
"Yeah, I'm okay, Buddy,"
Sam ran over to her and frowned,
"You don't look okay, what happened?"
Mazikeen sighed and ruffled his hair,
"You let me do the worrying, okay Sammy?"
Sam sighed and nodded,
"Okay,"
Rover sat on her shoulder,
"Mojo almost caught me this time, I think he missed me,"
Mazikeen laughed and heard a bark, she looked down and saw the chihuahua,
"Mojo!"
She bent down and started petting the dog as he licked her hand,
"You got more blinged up!"
Sam sighed,
"Mom,"
Mazikeen chuckled,
"Of course,"
Sam grabbed her hand,
"I want to show you my room!"
Mazikeen smiled and nodded,
"Okay, let's go!"
Sam ran up and entered his room and she quickly followed and gasped,
"Sammy, why is the floor covered?!"
Sam blushed and kicked some stuff around,
"Sorry,"
Mazikeen laughed and shook her head,
"You were never good at cleaning up,"
Sam shrugged,
"But look at my posters!"
Mazikeen laughed and smiled as she examined her baby brother's room,
"Rover, you need to help get Sammy into a cleaning routine,"
"I have tried many years,"
Sam gasped,
"No?"
Mazikeen stared at Sam,
"Don't lie,"
Sam sighed and plopped down on his bed,
"It just gets dirty again anyways,"
Mazikeen laughed and sat down next to him,
"I know,"
Sam looked at her,
"Do you want to look at your room?"
Mazikeen's eyes widened,
"My room is still intact?"
Sam laughed and nodded,
"Yeah, dad did not want to change anything,"
Mazikeen smiled and nodded,
"Yes,"
The two siblings and droid walked and Mazikeen opened her door and gasped,
"It really is the same,"
There were sketches all around the desk, blue prints were on the wall, robot pictures were all over the walls as well. She smiled and sighed,
"No one came in?"
Sam frowned,
"I...I did whenever I really missed you,"
Mazikeen looked at him and hugged him,
"I promise to stay in touch more,"
Sam smiled sadly at her and sat on the floor,
"I'm sorry about whatever mom said to you,"
Mazikeen sat in front of him and put a hand on his shoulder,
"Don't worry about it, I'm here for you now...and that's what matters,"
Sam smiled at her and hugged her again,
"I really did miss you,"
Mazikeen laughed and hugged him back,
"Yeah, I know...given that you told me a gazillion times since I came back,"
Sam laughed and nodded,
"Good,"
They were silent for a few minutes and Sam glanced at her,
"Are you leaving tonight?"
Mazikeen looked at him and tilted her head,
"Why would I? I am still gonna leave tomorrow,"
Sam sighed,
"I know you and mom were fighting...so I just thought that maybe you were going to leave early,"
Mazikeen put a hand on his shoulder,
"Hey, just because mom and I fought does not mean that I am leaving early. I am here until the morning,"
Sam smiled at her,
"Good, I can show you everything that changed!"
Mazikeen laughed and nodded,
"Okay, good, I would like that,"
Rover tapped her leg,
"Let's go to the beach!"
Sam laughed,
"Rover-"
"We can take you to Mikaela's workplace,"
Same blushed,
"Rover!"
Mazikeen laughed with Rover, and she nudged Sam,
"Come on, baby brother, let's go visit that lil girlfriend of yours,"
Sam sighed,
"You won't let this go,"
Mazikeen shook her head,
"Definitely never,"
Sam sighed and nodded,
"Okay, fine...let's go now,"
Mazikeen nodded and stood up. The two immediately walked downstairs and their mother stopped them,
"Where are you two going?"
Sam smiled,
"I'm going to show Mazikeen around,"
Judy slowly nodded,
"Okay, be home for dinner at six,"
Sam nodded,
"Okay, mom,"
Mazikeen simply nodded at her, and the three went out of the house.
