『❀✧❀✧❀✧❀✧❀✧❀✧❀✧❀✧❀✧❀✧❀✧❀✧❀』

In the heart of Florida, beneath the swaying palms and endless skies, lay the modest town of Coral Palm. Here, amid the humid air and the whispers of Spanish moss, a girl named Aurora Nelson lived a seemingly ordinary life. Well, as normal of a life as a witch could live.

Unbeknownst to the girl, her destiny was intricately woven with threads of magic, waiting to be unraveled. But beneath the surface of her tranquil existence, whispers of a forgotten legacy stirred in the shadows, waiting to be awakened.

As Aurora slept peacefully in her bed, the moon cast its silver light upon her, illuminating the faint traces of ancient symbols etched into her skin—a silent testament to the power that slumbered within her soul.

Little did she know that her world was about to change forever, as the echoes of her ancestry called out to her from the depths of time, beckoning her on a journey of discovery and destiny that would take her beyond the borders of her sleepy town and into the realm of magic and miracles.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting long shadows across the quiet streets of Coral Palm, a gentle knock echoed through the wooden door of the Nelson household. Aurora, nestled in the warmth of her home, paused in her evening chores, her curiosity piqued by the unexpected visitor at this late hour. Her parents were currently out of town and their only rule for the girl was to not open the door to strangers. As usual, Aurora disobeyed their instructions. With a cautious step, Aurora approached the door, her heart quickening with anticipation. As she swung it open, she was met with the sight of a tall, imposing figure silhouetted against the fading light. The visitor's beard and flowing robes fluttered in the evening breeze, and his piercing blue eyes held a twinkle of warmth and wisdom.

"Can I help you?" Aurora asked with an eyebrow raised.

The man smiled warmly, his eyes twinkling with a mixture of kindness and purpose. "Aurora Nelson, I presume? I hope I find you well. May I come in?" the man spoke, his voice carrying a hint of mystery and authority.

"But, I don't know you." The girl stated bluntly. "How do I know you're not here to kidnap or murder me?"

The man's lips curled into a kindly smile. "Forgive the late hour, my dear, but I come bearing an invitation of great importance. I am Albus Dumbledore, headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry."

"Okay. But I still don't know you. Besides, I go to Ilvermorny." Aurora expressed with a challenging look splayed across her face.

"My dear," Dumbledore began, his voice carrying a gentle warmth that seemed to wrap around Aurora like a comforting blanket. She wished he would quit calling her that. "It is for the very reason that I stand upon your threshold. I have journeyed here with a purpose in mind—none other than to engage in discourse regarding your scholarly pursuits. Tell me, are your parents in residence?" His eyes, ever sparkling with an enigmatic light, met hers once more. Yet, Aurora found herself unsettled by the glimmer, a sensation she couldn't quite decipher.

"Yes," Aurora replied, lying through her teeth. She hoped he would fall for it. He didn't.

"My dear Aurora," She narrowed her eyes at him, "Might I suggest that honesty is our most potent wand in navigating through the labyrinth of uncertainty? Indeed, it has a curious way of illuminating the path ahead, don't you agree?"

"Sure, I guess? Okay. Wait what?" Aurora couldn't comprehend his extended vocabulary. There was a reason she was never at the top of her class.

"I believe it would be prudent to enlist the assistance of one of Hogwarts' diligent house elves to retrieve your parents," Dumbledore responded, his tone carrying the weight of both wisdom and care. With a subtle gesture of his wand, he vanished from sight, only to reappear moments later with a soft crack, his eyes alight with a spark of anticipation as he stood before her. "We shall patiently await their imminent arrival, for time is but a fleeting companion on our journey through the mysteries of existence."

The girl merely raised her eyes at him, silently questioning his sanity. Moments elapsed, marked by nothing but the echoing of another loud crack, indicating the arrival of her parents, flanked by an eager house elf whose gaze spiked at the very essence of her being.

"Good evening," Dumbledore greeted with a warm smile, his blue eyes twinkling behind half-moon spectacles. "I hope I'm not disturbing you."

The Nelsons exchanged bewildered glances, unsure of what to make of the situation on their doorstep.

"I am here to speak with Aurora," Dumbledore continued, his voice gentle yet firm. "May I come in?"

Still in a state of disbelief, the Nelsons ushered Dumbledore inside, leading him to the cozy sitting room with Aurora trailing behind.

"Miss Nelson," Dumbledore began, his tone gentle yet authoritative, "I have come to extend an invitation to you on behalf of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry."

"I already told you, I go-"

"I'm aware of where your education resides at the moment, however, I have conversed with your esteemed headmaster, Agilbert Fontaine. Together, we have arrived at the firm belief that it would be most beneficial for you to complete your wizarding studies in the halls of Hogwarts."

"But Hogwarts is in Scotland! I live here. In Florida," Aurora replied sternly, "I have friends here and a job! Well, I quit a few weeks ago. There was a terrible incident, rather traumatizing actually, but that's beside the point! And most importantly, my parents are here!"

"My dear child," she scowled at the nickname, "I empathize deeply with your worries, yet alas, the path before you is one preordained, a ruling made long ere this moment. Your parents, in agreement with the respected Headmaster Fontaine, determined that when the hour arrived, you would journey back to the shores of Europe. Regrettably, it falls beyond my purview; the reins of fate now lie firmly within destiny's grasp. My sincerest apologies, but such matters are now beyond our mortal sway."

And thus, in a swirl of enigmatic grace, Albus Dumbledore vanished from sight, accompanied by the elf, leaving Aurora enveloped in a deeper shroud of perplexity than ever before—a state not unfamiliar to her, for confusion seemed to be her steadfast companion on many an occasion.

After a long, heartfelt conversation with her parents about the perils of opening doors to strangers and the broader mysteries of Hogwarts, Aurora learned the full truth. She was not truly a Nelson—or at least, not by birth. Her parents revealed that, many years ago, when she was merely a year old, Dumbledore had come to their home with an extraordinary proposition. Though initially hesitant to accept a child from a stranger, their longing for a family, having discovered they could never conceive a child of their own, eventually overcame their doubts. With great joy, they welcomed Aurora into their lives and hearts.

However, they revealed that the old wizard had never disclosed the identity of her biological parents. This revelation left her feeling adrift and bewildered, for she had always yearned to uncover the truth of her origins. Despite the unknown surrounding her parentage, she resolved to unearth the answers and embarked on a quest to uncover her past. This newfound mission imbued her with a sense of purpose and determination, driving her to venture into the unknown. She was resolute in her pursuit, determined to bring to light the secrets that had been concealed from her for so long.

No matter how long it takes, she will find the answers.
