Ratchet came back inside with Sam and Rover in his servo, Sam had the soup in his hands and was smiling as he got off and sat down next to his sister,
"Here!"
Mazikeen smiled and slowly sat up and leaned against the wall and Sam frowned softly as he saw his sister wince,
"Are you okay?"
Mazikeen nodded and ruffled his hair,
"Nothing to worry about, Sammy,"
She looked at Ratchet and Jazz,
"I know this sounds rude, but can you let Sammy and I talk for a sec?"
Jazz slowly nodded,
"Okay, sure,"
Ratchet stared at her,
"If I come in to find you in more pain, you will be on full surveillance,"
Mazikeen saluted at him,
"You got it, Ratch,"
"I will go with them,"
The two Autobots left with Rover, and Sam frowned,
"What's wrong?"
Mazikeen grabbed his hand with her right hand,
"Talk to me,"
Sam finally let his tears fall as his grip on her hand tightened,
"You left! You left. You promised that you wouldn't leave permanently. But you almost did! And it hurt. I had no idea how to do anything when Mom and Dad got that call. It felt like I lost a part of myself Maze. I can't lose you! I want you to come home,"
Mazikeen sighed softly,
"Oh, Sammy...You will never truly lose me,"
Sam shook his head,
"B-But I did...I did when you left five years ago,"
Mazikeen felt tears leave her eyes,
"Y-You felt that way this entire time?"
Sam looked away from her and nodded,
"Y-Yeah...Dad said I should be supportive...that you were finding your purpose...And I tried...I tried so hard Maze. But as the years went by...and I could only call you once a month...it was hard...I wanted to tell you everything, Maze...but I couldn't,"
Mazikeen frowned,
"I am here now, Sammy. I promise that I will call you,"
Sam looked at her,
"You aren't coming home...are you."
Mazikeen looked down and shook her head,
"I don't think I can,"
Sam frowned,
"What do you mean you can't?"
Mazikeen sighed,
"I...I don't know how to live a life without fighting, Sammy,"
"B-But you can learn!"
Mazikeen shook her head,
"I...I have nightmares...I can't,"
Sam frowned,
"Not even after this?!"
Mazikeen looked at Sam,
"I can't face them,"
Sam frowned,
"B-But they are our parents!"
Mazikeen smiled sadly at him and put her hand on his shoulder,
"Let's be real, Sammy...Mom and Dad? They love me too, but they aren't ready to deal with all the parts of me that have changed,"
Sam looked down,
"What about one day? A vacation day!"
Mazikeen sighed and nodded,
"I will think about it,"
Sam sighed but nodded,
"Okay...can I hug you?"
Mazikeen smiled and winked at him,
"Just don't tell Ratchet,"
Sam laughed and shook his head,
"I won't,"
The two siblings finally hugged. Mazikeen did feel a pinch in her abdomen but she ignored it as she smiled, it has been so long since the two siblings hugged for a long time.
Sam was the first to pull away and held out his pinky finger,
"Can you promise me to try to stay safe?"
Mazikeen sighed but nodded and interlaced her pinky with his,
"I promise, Sammy,"
"I love you, big sister,"
"I love you too, baby brother,"
She laid back against the wall and winked at him,
"Hey, no sacrifice, no victory,"
"No sacrifice, no victory,"
The two smiled at each other, and Rover came back in, followed by the two Autobots,
"Are you feeling better?"
Sam nodded,
"Yeah, I am,"
"Me too,"
Rover nodded his head,
"Good, now eat,"
Mazikeen laughed and nodded,
"I will,"
She took a sip of her soup to prove to him that she will. Rover nodded and nudged Sam,
"Mikaela is definitely going to want to see you, so let's go!"
Sam blushed and nudged him,
"ROVER!"
Mazikeen smirked,
"I want details!"
Sam grumbled and glared at her,
"Hey! You haven't told me if you ever met anyone in the army!"
Mazikeen winked at him,
"Now that is for me to know and you to never find out!"
Ratchet rolled his optics and picked up Sam,
"Shoo,"
Sam laughed and waved at his sister before running off, following Rover as he led him. Mazikeen smirked,
"Ratch?"
"Yes?"
"Did you actually tell my brother and Mikaela that he wants to mate with her?"
Jazz laughed and nodded,
"He actually did,"
Mazikeen smiled,
"Oh, I woulda killed to be there,"
Jazz tilted his head,
"Why stay so long away?"
Mazikeen sighed, and Ratchet immediately put a hand on Jazz's shoulder,
"Jazz, the questions can wait more. Mazikeen needs rest,"
Jazz immediately nodded,
"Right, sorry, lil M,"
Mazikeen waved her right hand,
"It's all good, don't worry about it,"
Jazz smiled and nodded,
"Okay, I have to go see Optimus about some things. See you later, lil M and Ratchet,"
Ratchet waved him off and he left. Ratchet glanced at Mazikeen,
"How are you feeling?"
Mazikeen sighed,
"Something feels off,"
"Such as?"
Mazikeen shrugged,
"I am not entirely sure...but I don't think Phoenix could have possibly teleported me away,"
Ratchet went closer to her,
"Why not?"
Mazikeen glanced up at Ratchet,
"Because...teleportation has never been a thing here...I don't think it will be for at least ten more years,"
"You are ahead of your time, Mazikeen,"
Mazikeen shook her head,
"Not by this far,"
Ratchet sighed,
"Okay...we will keep a close eye on you to see if any of your levels increase or decrease,"
Mazikeen nodded,
"Okay,"
"Rest assured, Mazikeen, you will be safe,"
"Ratch?"
"Yes?"
"For the love of the sky, call me Maze,"
"Fine fine. Maze,"
"Thank you,"
