"How is that fine? My heart aches," Lisa muttered in a low voice, her little face scrunched up.
Jungkook's heart melted. This woman was so endearing that he could not help himself but fall deeper in love.
He didn't want her to leave him. He did not want her to leave him for a single second.
He reached out and hugged Lisa, holding her tightly in his arms.
"I won't let you leave me," Jungkook said.
Lisa contentedly snuggled in Jungkook's arms.
"I know, I know." Lisa sat up and wrapped her arms around Jungkook's neck, pressing the half of her face that wasn't covered in medicine against Jungkook's neck.
"I've asked the director for a leave. He said that he'll find someone to replace me this week, and that I'm free to take the entire week off. We don't have to stay in the hotel anymore. We can go straight home!" Lisa's face was red with excitement when she talked about going home.
Jungkook ran his fingers through her hair. "Okay, let's go home."
While Lisa and Jungkook basked in warmth, the backstage of the TV station painted an entirely different picture.
Nancy was helping Mingyu deal with the wounds on his face. "Jungkook is too much. How could he do this to you? Our company's Annual Meeting is next week, and you still have to give a speech on stage. How could he ruin your face now...?"
Mingyu's eyes were cold. He stared at Nancy in silence.
"Why are you looking at me like that? I didn't think that Jungkook would actually do such a thing for Lisa." Nancy used a cotton swab dipped in alcohol to apply it on Mingyu's face.
"It's my fault. I shouldn't have told you about those things. I caused you to be humiliated by Jungkook."
For Mingyu, being slapped in the face and kicked to the ground was utter humiliation.
"It's fine. I'd do anything for you." Mingyu reached out and touched Nancy's hair. "You've been through a lot. I'll definitely make Chang Yuan pay."

Chang Yuan was the director of "Full Moon". He was the man who had almost ruined Nancy.
"I don't want anyone else to know about this. My career will be ruined." Nancy's eyes were filled with tears.
In the entertainment industry, reputation paved the way for most paths.
Even if they were violated and humiliated, they had to hold their silence.
Artistes like Nancy had meticulously crafted pure images for themselves. It was all the more important for them.
She could not afford to let even rumors of this spread.
"I won't let this spread. Don't worry, he's just a director. We'll find a way." Mingyu gritted his teeth in hatred. "Jungkook and Lisa are going to get their just desserts, too."
