It was the same night.
It was past 10.
Taehyung and Aera were sleeping, as the lights were switched off, except for the bed lights.
He had his arm around her waist as she was hugging his arm.
Soon enough she woke up feeling like being watched.
She looked around the room.
Only Tae was there sleeping, other than someone showering in the bathroom.
She tried to go back to sleep but the uncomfortable feeling was growing inside her.
She shifted in the bed a couple of times.
"What is it Aera?", Namjoon's voice could be heard from the bathroom as he turned the shower off.
He could sense everything from the sound of her anklets.
"Nothing, oppa. Don't worry", She said in a low voice not wanting to disturb Tae.
Soon Namjoon came out in his shorts while drying his hair with a towel.
He tossed the towel aside, as he sat beside her and signalled her to come closer.
She gently got out of Tae's hold as she laid her head on his lap, and hugged his thighs.
He smiled and ran his fingers through her hair, caressing her head.
"Couldn't sleep?", He asked.
"Hmm, I don't know oppa. It feels like I'm being watched or something. I couldn't shake off this feeling ", she mumbled.
"It's a new place, a whole new atmosphere. Maybe, that's bugging you", he said giving her arms a squeeze.
"Maybe", she said.
"Don't give it much thought. Oppa is here with you. Then everything should be fine fine right?", He asked.
She turned around and faced him with a smile.
"If oppa is with me, then everything is fine", she said and tried to wink at him.
"Cute", he mumbled and pressed a kiss on her forehead.
"Stay like this", she hugged his neck, keeping him down and kissing his cheek.
"Im getting sleepy", she said rubbing her eyes.
"I love you, little one", he said tickling hey neck making her laugh.
"I love you oppa", she said with a smile.
"Now, sleep. It's late", he said caressing her head.
She closed her eyes and slept within a short time.
Once her breathing got even, he laid her next to Taehyung who was awake the whole time.
He adjusted her shirt and covered her with the blankets.
"She really has some good senses", Tae said proudly.
"True", Namjoon said kissing her head and leaving from the bed.
"She slept?", Hobi came in the room and locked the door.
He was out double checking the security.
"Yeah", Taehyung said laying back in his position and cuddled with her.
Earlier when they moved in the room they found some hidden cameras and hacked into the system and now it's under their control, including every other cctv and cameras.
"I'm taking the couch. You sleep in the bed", Hobi said as he kissed Aera and Tae's forehead.
He got comfortable on the couch and bundled himself with blankets.
Namjoon laid beside Aera and cuddled with her arm.
The morning rolled by as Julie was got seven cups of coffee.
She knocked on the door as Namjoon opened the door.
"Coffee, sweetie", she forwarded the tray with a smile.
When he noticed only the presence of seven cups he said, "we don't drink coffee in the early morning".
Laughters could be heard inside the room as she peeked in a little.
Aera was laughing her heart out as she was being tickled mercilessly by Jungkook and Taehyung.
"Okay", she tried to control her change of expressions.
"We won't need breakfast. We are going out", Namjoon said as he was about to close the door.
"Then can you send Aera to help in the kitchen?", Julie maintained her smile.
Namjoon stepped out and closed the door.
"We are staying here only for a week. Don't try to be over smart and bring changes to our lifestyle. I have a little patience. Not my brothers. They won't hesitate to put a bullet in your useless brain", He said and went inside the room.
Julie's face hardened as she stormed away.
As she came down, Nick who was reading the newspaper, looked at his angry mother.
"Something's wrong?", Nick asked.
"I am just worried for the girl. They are raising her the wrong way and spoiling her too much", Julie said.
"You can't expect everyone to be a slave", Maya's voice could be heard.
They became shocked as they saw her in the wheelchair.
Mina was pushing the wheelchair as her head hung low.
They seem dressed up.
"Where are you going?", Nick asked furiously getting up from the chair.
"Out", Maya said.
"With whose permission?", Julie asked.
"Listen, I don't want to repeat this thing again. Just because I'm paralysed, it doesn't give you an excuse to raise your voice against me, my daughter or my guests. If you dare, I can drag you to filth by filing the case for taking my company when I was unconscious, supporting rape and abuse. Every single thing is ready with my lawyer. One call and you are done. So shut your noisy holes and be in your limits", Maya snapped at them.
Nick and Julie looked at eachother with shock written all over their faces.
They maintained the silence and continued their work.
"Princess, take your sling back with you", Jin's voice could be heard.
"Im done", Aera's voice reached them.
Footsteps could be heard as the Kim siblings descended the stairs.
"Good morning Aunt. Good morning Mina", Jin greeted them.
"Good morning Jinnie", Maya said with a smile.
"Good morning", Mina said.
"Shall we go?", Jimin asked.
"Yeah", Yoongi went near Mina and signalled her to move.
He pushed Maya's wheelchair as they exited the house and got in the car.
"If you feel any motion sickness, tell us", Taehyung said to Mina as she nodded her head.
Mina, Tae, Maya. Yoongi and Hobi were in one car while the rest were in the other one.
The whole time, Maya was looking out in awe.
"How many things have changed in all these years?!", She almost cried.
"Don't worry, you'll catch up soon Aunty", Hobi said.
They stopped by a restaurant.
As soon as they got down, Mina got shocked.
"Mom, it's an expensive one", she whispered to Maya.
Now Maya looked hesitant too.
"Nonsense. I'm warning you. Don't think about anything else other than enjoying this day", Jin said pushing Maya in as others followed.
The food was served as Jimin looked at Mina and said, "Have your food. I'll take care of Aunty".
Maya nodded her head as Mina began to eat.
She ate quietly while observing her surroundings.
Everyone was eating quitely except for Aera asking some questions in between.
Aera was eating on her own but was occasionally fed by her brothers.
Maya was watching them with tears as she realised that she missed out too much.
Mina was thinking how these brothers are perfect gentlemen.
Even the youngest, Jungkook seems way too mature for his age.
The way they take care of their sister and never raise their voice against her, the way they help Maya and herself, she was admiring them.
Everyone returned by evening.
When they went inside they saw Kris sitting on the couch glaring at them.
Maya understood that he knew whatever happened here.
No one minded him as they went upstairs.
Aera was staring out the window when she saw Mina knitting something in the garden.
"Oppa, can I go to the garden?", Aera asked.
Hobi looked at the garden and nodded his head.
She hesitantly approached Mina.
"C-can I join you?", She asked.
Mina looked up.
"Sure", Mina patted the chair beside her.
"What are you knitting, unnie?", Aera asked.
"Socks", Mina said.
"I don't know knitting", Aera said shaking her head.
"I'll teach you", Mina said.
"Really?! Thank you", Aera said flashing her smile melting Mina's heart.
They were silent for sometime, when Mina glanced at Aera who seemed zoned out.
"A-Aera?", She called her.
"Hmm?", Aera snapped out.
"I wanna ask you something", Mina said as she focused on knitting.
"What is it, unnie?", Aera asked, now all curious.
"Do you ever get scolded?", Mima asked.
"Mhm, oppa won't scold me, unless it's a matter of my health or safety", Aera said with a smile.
"Really? Not even for studies?", Mina asked surprised.
She used to get punished for scoring average by her father.
She never had a friend in her school to talk to; all thanks to her quiet and shy nature.
"No. Not at all. Even I failed once. Oppa didn't say anything", Aera said.
Mina gasped.
"Why did you fail?", She asked wanting to know the tea.
"While writing the exam, I got severe cramps. I couldn't manage to write. I told this to Jungkookie oppa as soon as the exam got over. He said it's not a big deal and told me not to worry", Aera said swinging her legs.
"Oh! Cramps- you mean m-menstrual cramps?", Mina asked.
"Kind of. It was not actually my periods. It was just some spotting", Aera said casually.
Mina froze on her place.
"You talk to your brother about your periods?", She whispered.
"Yes", Aera said.
Mina thought about her period life.
During her first period her mother was there to help her out.
When she got into coma, her grandmother never allowed to share these things with the males in the house.
She was taught that men would be awkward and disgusted and there was no need for them to know about these things.
She could only whisper about her periods, if she wants anything.
Nobody even cared if she was alright or if she's in pain.
Those were the times she missed her mother and cried to her.
Somehow these thoughts grew on her but at the same time hurt her too.
"Didn't you feel awkward? What about your brothers?", Mina paused the knitting.
"No, unnie. I never felt awkward with my brothers. Hobi oppa is the one to notice that I got my first periods. At that time I had a huge fear of blood. I couldn't do anything. Jin oppa took care of me", Aera said.
"Fear of blood? Why?", Mina asked.
"I don't know. It was just there. It's present now too. But I am not scared of my own blood", Aera said.
"Wow. So your brothers helped you through it? How old were you then?", Mina asked.
"Hmm. I was 10. They were very patient with me. It can be disgusting for so many people, but they didn't even frown through the process. T-they even changed my p-pads that even I'm uncomfortable with", Aera said looking down, getting shy.
"I'm happy that they were there to help you", Mina asked.
"Thanks, unnie", Aera said with a smile.
"So, you are very open with your brothers. You have the 'girly talks' with them", Mina said.
"Yes. I won't hide anything from them no matter how girls it is", Aera said.
"I wish my family was like this", Mina said.
"I'm sorry, unnie. From what I can see these people are some hard shells", Aera said.
"They are psychos, Aera. Especially my grandma", Mina said.
"Why? I mean if you are comfortable enough to tell me", Aera said hesitantly.
"That woman is so backward in thinking. She used to check my private part every week during school days to check if I'm a virgin", Mina said as some tears escaped her eyes,with every word that came out of her mouth.
"W-what?", Aera stuttered.
It was like someone threw a whole bucket of cold water on her.
"Against your consent?", She asked.
"Consent! There's no consent in this house. You have to do it, whether you want it or not, whether you like it or not", Mina wiped her tears.
"Unnie, that's kind of abuse", Aera said.
"I know. What can I do other than accepting their orders? No one is there to support me", Mina said.
"Don't worry, unnie. I'll help you. I'll stand by you", Aera hesitantly held Mina's hands.
She badly wanted to cry, but she needs to be strong to give Mina some support.
Mina smiled through her tears.
"Unnie, how will she even check whether you are a virgin? As far as I know you can't tell everything by looking, right?", Aera asked her.
"Simple. By hymen", Mina said.
"What?! That's ridiculous. It doesn't mean a person is not a virgin if the hymen is absent. There can be numerous ways by which the hymen can tear apart", Aera said completely disgusted.
"You can't win over these people's thoughts. I learned it the hard way. I hoped they would change, but it didn't happen", Mina sighed.
"I have hope. Mom is fine now. Everyone will change i guess", Mina said.
"You deserve the best, unnie", Aera smiled giving Mina a quick hug.
"You should go in. It's getting cold", Mina said.
Aera nodded her head and went in.
As she was ascending the stairs, Julie called her.
Aera had already lost the respect for this woman.
Without hearing anything she rushed upstairs.
As soon as she opened the room door, she couldn't control her emotions.
"Oppa", she went into Hobi's arms readily.
Hobi kept the laptop aside as he pulled her on his lap, hugging her tight.
"Thank you for being so nice to me", she cried.
"Angel, look at me", he lifted her head up, wiping the tears.
"Every right person deserves to be treated nice. Don't you think?", Hobi asked.
"Hmm", she laid against his chest sniffling.
"Don't worry. We will help them", Hobi kissed her head.
