"How's everything going girls?" Aneysa asks, walking out into the back yard.

"It great!" Orla responds, "this has to be one of the best parties I've been to."

"You'll get invited to a lot more when you're older, trust me" Aneysa replies.

"Aneysa, you'd probably want to go back inside" Tuk whispers, as she's looking behind her.

"What? Why?" Aneysa then turns around, before noticing a couple of young boys standing around, as they look at her.

"Neteyam would not be happy" Orla chuckles.

"Although let's face it, it is not exactly your fault" Tiana says to Aneysa, "you're hot."

"Tiana!" Tuk whispers before she hits her lightly on her arm.

Aneysa chuckles before shaking her head, "thank you Tiana. I was just out to get my phone. I left it out here somewhere."

"It's probably on the other side" Tuk smiles, "I'll get it for you."

"Thank you" Aneysa blows Tuk an air kiss, before Tuk walks off.

"Are there any beers left?" Someone asks.

Aneysa turns around, noticing a young boy, who seemed certainly lost.

"There must be some around" Aneysa shrugs, "unless you've already had one."

"I haven't" He raises his hands to surrender.

"That's Fredrick. We call him Fred" Tiana sighs, before looking towards him, "I thought you said you didn't want a beer."

"I do" Fred nods.

"Or is it because Jay is pressuring you to take one?" Tiana asks.

Aneysa turns back around, noticing a couple of young boys looking and laughing, as they point.

It was obvious who Jay seemed to be.

"They aren't pressuring me! I do want one" Fred looks down, embarrassed.

"Why are they watching you? Bit creepy" Aneysa whispers.

"They wanted to see if I was confident enough to talk to a girl" He scratches the back of his head.

"So you've come here to ask us for a beer?" Orla asks.

"Not you.. your sister" Fred turns his head away from Aneysa.

"Sister?" Orla chuckles, "she's my carer."

"Well aren't you adorable?" Aneysa ruffles his hair, "I'll get you a beer."

Reaching down, Aneysa looks through the the cooling box, when she finds the last beer.

As she does so, the others turn to look, when they notice a tattoo, printed on her lower back, thanks to the mid rise jeans she had on.

"Here you are" she smiles, standing back up with the beer in her hand.

"Thank you" Fred smiles with a little blush, before walking away.

"You have a tattoo on your back?" Orla asks.

"What's Netey?" Tiana asks.

"Oh I completely forgot about that" Aneysa feels herself become slightly embarrassed, "me and Neteyam got these tattoos on our honeymoon."

-

"I'm scared" Aneysa looks towards Neteyam, who was laid on his back, whilst she was laid on her stomach.

"You're scared? The size of my tattoo is twice as big than yours" Neteyam chuckles, "but it'll be all worth it in the end.

-

"Oh I get it now!" Tiana gasps, "Netey is short for Neteyam."

To which Aneysa nods in response.

"Does Neteyam have a tattoo?" Orla asks.

"Right across his chest" Aneysa nods, "my name, in my native language."

"Oh my" Tiana looks towards Orla before the two of them giggle.

"Found it!" Tuk came running back, before noticing Orla and Tiana grinning.

"Why are you both grinning?" Tuk asks.

"They know about the tattoos" Aneysa replies, taking her phone out of Tuk's hand.

"Of course they're grinning" Tuk rolls her eyes, "i told you, my brother is a simp. No offence to you Aneysa."

"None taken. I like that he's a simp" Aneysa chuckles, "keeps the romance alive."

"Does he have abs? Do you get to touch them?" Tiana asks.

"Tiana!" Tuk shouts, "you ask the most, out of pocket questions."

"I'm curious! That is just how I am" Tiana replies.

"I'll leave you girls to it" Aneysa smiles as she walks off.

-

"Do you think the blue works better or the beige?" Kiri asks, holding up two kashmir scarves against her coat.

She looks up to Love for confirmation, when noticing that Love was not paying attention, but rather zoned out into space.

"Love?" Kiri calls out to her again.

"Hm?" Love then looks down.

"Everything alright? You seem spaced out a little" Kiri asks.

"Everything is fine" Love smiles.

"Are you thinking about the situation with Aneysa?" Kiri sighs.

"I just- I don't know what I could do to show her that I'm sorry. I didn't mean it" Love pouts.

"Drunk words are just what you think when you're sober. The only problem is, you say it out loud" Kiri replies, "you do feel that way towards her. In some sense I do not blame you, I would be jealous if Rotxo were to have a friend that is a girl."

"I know, but it is not her fault that I feel this way. It is my fault" Love's shoulder slump slightly as she leans her arm against the railing beside her.

"Look. You just have to remember, what was with Aneysa and Ao'nung, it was all in the past. They've moved on from it, Ao'nung is in love with you and Aneysa is in love with my brother. Just take your time, the heat will blow over soon" Kiri assured her.

"What is happening over here?" Kiri then hears Rotxo's voice from behind her.

"Rotxo? What are you doing here?" Kiri asks.

"I'm here to see you" he smirks before giving Kiri a peck against her lips.

"Seriously, Rotxo. What are you here for?" Kiri asks again.

"Me and Ao'nung are here. We thought to get something for the girls before we head off to your moms house" Rotxo replies.

"You're going to Tuk's pool party?" Kiri asks.

"No. Your mother just invited us over to eat. I think she has invited everyone over. But the gifts are an extra, to congratulate them for completing the year" Rotxo smiles.

"You're so sweet" Kiri scrunches her nose, as she looks at her fiancé in awe, "how did I ever get this lucky."

Rotxo chuckles, before turning his head to see Love, who once again seemed dazed out.

"Ao'nung is giving you a hard time, huh?" Rotxo asks.

"Hm?" Love looks towards him, before giving a sad smile.

"It is about what happened with Aneysa. Tell Ao'nung to cut it out, and stop making it worse" Kiri rolls her eyes.

"I understand you Love. I wouldn't want Kiri to have a close friend that is a male" Rotxo sighs, "but Ao'nungs' childhood wasn't exactly easy. Aneysa has been there with him from the start. He had always been jealous of Tsireya growing up, because of how his father favoured her over him. So, Aneysa was all he had."

"I know, and I feel terrible" Love sighs.

"Don't be so hard on yourself" Rotxo smiles, "everything will soon come to light."

"Daddy, i 'ant this" Lo'reya walks towards Lo'ak, holding a bar of chocolate.

"Lo'reya. Mommy said no chocolate. Put it back" Lo'ak tells her off calmly.

"But i 'ant it!" She shouts.

"Lo'reya, stop shouting" Lo'ak looks at her, confused as to why she was acting this way.

Their usual trips to the convenient store were not like this.

"I don't like you" Lo'reya pouts, throwing down the bar of chocolate onto the floor.

"Right, that is it" Lo'ak reaches out to his daughter, holding her up before placing her into the bassinet.

"I want to get out!" Lo'reya began kicking her legs, trying to jump out her seat, yet had no chance.

Meanwhile, Lo'ak continued on with his shopping, without looking towards her, knowing that she was just a child throwing a tantrum.

-

Aneysa had managed to get away from everyone, having the need to go to the bathroom.

Despite her being done with using the bathroom facilities, she stood there, herself facing the mirror as she scanned her reflection.

"Am I truly that bad of a person?" She asks herself.

Despite it being a couple of days, that had gone by, Aneysa could not help, but think back to Love's words against her.

Perhaps her friendship with Ao'nung was not right. After all, she was married now. What was the need fo have a male friend?

She didn't want to ruin her friendship. God forbid, it would be the last thing she'd ever wish upon. But perhaps this was a sign, to push back on their friendship.

To set boundaries, and no longer see each other as often as they do.

She had heard Love's truth. Yet what did Neteyam think? Does he also dislike their friendship?

Perhaps so much, yet he hides it, for the sake of Aneysa's happiness.

He was known to do that for a lot of things. Which only kept Aneysa worried.

...

As she walks out the bathroom, Aneysa is startled, as she finds Neteyam stood outside.

"Sorry" he chuckles, "my mother said you'd be upstairs."

"What are you doing here?" Aneysa asks.

"I missed you" Neteyam smiles, leaning in towards her.

"Neteyam, this is your parents house. Behave" Aneysa tells him off, taking a couple of steps past him.

Only to be pulled back, and into his solid chest, "so? That didn't stop us from going further the first time, did it?"

Feeling herself blush a little, Aneysa then turns away.

"Do you remember that night?" Neteyam asks.

"Kiri's birthday" Aneysa replies, looking back up at him.

"You looked so breathtaking, I couldn't get my hands off you" Neteyam smirks.

Aneysa nods with a smile, as she remembers their first time, "I do miss the days when we were a little younger. We were a lot more.. spontaneous I guess."

"Who says we can't do that now?" Neteyam whispers, his hands gradually cradling the crook of her neck, his thumb reaching out to her lips.

Every time he looked towards them, he felt his heart race, as a sweat fell down, across his head.

Her lips made him thirsty. Hungry. As though he were a vampire, desperate for blood.

"Neteyam. We can't. We don't live here anymore, to do that" Aneysa looks up at him, noticing his eyes were far to occupied elsewhere.

"I just-" his mouth could not form the words to give out, when looking at her lips made him believe he was going insane.

"Teyam? What's wrong?" Aneysa noticed he looked in pain. But with no context, she could not help but feel worried.

She reaches her hand out to his shoulders, scanning around him, confused as to why he suddenly began acting this way.

As he approached her, there was a palpable tension in the air, a magnetic pull drawing him closer.

The distance that had grown between them melted away in that moment, and with a hint of vulnerability in his eyes, he leaned in.

The atmosphere shifted as their lips met, rekindling a long-lost intimacy that spoke volumes in the silent language of love.

Aneysa gasps, feeling Neteyam's arms squeeze her a little.

Looking up confused, Aneysa found herself looking into his eyes, "Neteyam?"

"I need to touch you" he swallowed down his saliva, his lips felt dry, and he became thirsty once again, "I haven't been able to have you this way. Not for a very long time. I need you."
