Shehnaaz
Keeping the yoga mat back at the shelf , I pick up a bottle of water drinking it looking at the sunrise , I have been doing yoga for almost for four years now, I wasn't a fitness or a yoga person my whole life but times go by I adapted new changes and yoga was one of them I chose yoga for my mental distraction which helped me out well. I took a quick shower changing into a black dress , heading towards the kitchen I decided to make breakfast for everyone, rolling the dough for paratha and cooking it I place it in a hot box calling everyone for breakfast I make some cerlac and fruit bowl for zahara knowing she is still a baby to have aloo paratha.
I rub my finger's through her hair pushing it back kissing her forehead waking her up, she woke up rubbing her eyes looking at me she smiled holding her hands up for me to grab which I did.
" How did you sleep baby?? "
" Mumma coffee go "
She says looking at me with pleading eyes I smiled knowing very well that zahara wants to go out .
" No zahara I made food at home, how about we go out after breakfast "
Feeding zahara her breakfast I gave her a bottle of milk, I took her clothes out setting it on the bed preparing myself for getting her a bath. Getting zahara bath is hard she hates being inside the water or water poured over her head , I wore a bathrobe over me keeping my clothes away from getting wet, she looks at me dropping her now empty bottle as I made my way towards her she smiled at me mischievously sprinting away towards nowhere making me follow her around, I stop in my track when dad catches her kissing all over her face handing a whining zahara.
" Few minutes baby, just few few minutes "
" No "
She says as I place her in the bath tub filled with water I give her some toys like ducks which are her favorite distracting her, after giving zahara a bath I apply some baby lotion and cream over her body and face dressing her up in overalls I make her wear her shoes who was quick enough to move away from my hold towards coco playing with the dogs. I sat on my vanity chair and did my skincare and put some make-up on which was just some blush, mascara and lipstick.
I and zahara enter rekha aunties home who wanted to meet me, I handed zahara to kushal who was excited to meet her chachu , he takes her away to play with her and the dogs , leaving me with shifali and aunty, I drank my coffee chatting away with the ladies when aunty spoke about her distress.
" Shehnaaz I needed your help regarding some changes at cafe "
" How can I help you aunty?? "
" You know over the time how the business was going well with the blue moon cafe, we were the one here in delhi but these day's due to trends, competition and young generation everything has changed. I had initially planned on closing the cafe but when I heard you are back I thought I could take some help from you "
" Sure aunty I would love to help but how can I?"
" Can you please join in to my business?? "
She pleads to me, as much as I would love to help her I couldn't stay here long I had promised Sebastian I would be back before our bakeries opening and Sebastian wouldn't be happy handling everything over there, but I can't say no to aunty too. Blue moon cafe has always been special to me it is the place where sidharth and I met for the first time and had our date together too, it has a special place in my heart ' what's the point of remembering something so beautiful only to end up being turning out ugly ' my thoughts we're broken by giggling zahara who looked really happy, this is the first time I have ever seen her so happy over here.
" Shehnaaz please don't say no beta "
" Aunty I can only help you with certain things maybe I can see the problem and bring changes but I can't stay here long. I have my business to look after and I need to head back at a point. "
" Ek second you aren't staying here from now on!!! "
Yelled shifali scaring both me and zahara who hid her face under kushal's neck he pats her back gently glaring at shifali who composes herself looking at me mumbling 'sorry', I just nod my head understanding grabbing zahar from kushal who was shaken but composed herself when she felt my warmth , her hold around my neck tightened hugging me I rock her back and forth putting her to sleep.
" Is she ok now?? I'm sorry I didn't mean to scare her "
" That's fine shifali you didn't know she was sensitive to lound noises she is just a baby after all and she is asleep now "
" You are really going back?? "
" I have my new bakery opening and I can't leave Sebastian all alone over there so got to go. But aunty as I said before I will help you out and sort all the things before I left to lausanne "
" Hold her I will go and get us some milkshakes and nuggets "
I said giving a sleeping zahara to sameer who placed her over his shoulder .
" I need chocolate milk shake with extra chocolate syrup "
" Child "
I mumble walking inside the blue moon cafe , I walk texting Sebastian checking over the current electrical installation situation at our new bakery and asking him to take rounds at other restaurants and cafes too. I walk towards the que only to get crashed against something hard hitting my forehead.
" Ahh shit "
" Can't you see "
Said the person making me hiss as I rub my forehead finding my phone fallen on the ground I pick it up talking checking over my phone .
" Tumhe dekhai nahi detha chomu kahai ka "
" Chomu kis ko bola bey "
I look up quickly listening to the voice clearly now which sent chills down all over my body there he was ' sidharth, sidharth shukla, my husband ahhh ex husband ' I thought staring at him he smirked flicking my forehead with his pointer finger.
" Chomu kisko bola gadhi "
" Excuse me, who are you calling gadhi over here? "
" You, you were so lost in your phone, forgot that someone was walking in front of you ".
" You could have moved away "
" And why should I?? You were on my way "
" Hyeee itni jagha hai tujhe mera samne hi anna hai kya "
" Tum mera samne ayi woh bhi phone use karta hua aur kis ko chomu bola bey "
" Tujha bey ".
" Shehnaaz yeh tera zyada horaha hai, don't call me chomu "
" Chomu ko chomu nahi bolungi toh kya bolungi mein sidharth "
I said crossing my arm's over my chest glaring at him he glares at me back, he looks at me from head to toe making me nervous as his eyes linger over my body this brings in a familiar feeling all over again making my stomach turn upside down, I watch him as he points his finger at me and pinched my arm making me hiss, I push his hand away from me taking a step back.
" What are you doing?? Why did you pinch me?? "
" Same pinch "
" Kya?? "
" Both of us are wearing black "
He said pointing at our outfits I stare at him and back at my dress as we matched together I roll my eyes at his childish behavior.
" Tere na alag hi tantey hai "
" Tan kya ?? "
" Problems!! It means problem you have stayed here in Delhi I don't know for how long and don't know some basic words, hopeless!!"
" You teach me if you don't have any problems "
" Please if you get some time off work, tab mein deekhu "
I said smugly looking anywhere but him , I heard someone coughing gaining my attention towards the person while sidharth grumbles out loud.
" Drink water itni taklif horahi hai toh"
" Nahi ab thik hai, shehnaaz tu inti jaldi idar agayi it's haven't been even hours after meeting mom "
Spoke kushal looking at me and than at sidharth while shifali shot daggers through her eyes at sidharth I just shrugged my shoulder pointing at the menu .
" I was here with sameer to have some food "
" Toh chal na I will get you your favorite and you can take some cakes back home to zahara too"
Said shifali dragging me towards the counter I watched sidharth who saw my every action I watched him for a while and for the last time and left towards my car picking up my food and drinks heading back to home remembering our first meet and date here at blue moon
