Chapter 8 - Unfortunate Events

(Y/n)'s P.o.V
(Y/n) arrives at the entrance of the school with chara by his side "So you ready for the day you may possibly be revealed?"
"Not at all" Chara replied as she looked at the schools gates
"Well neither am I, come on let's go" (Y/n) said as he entered the school gates his expression now neutral
"so, do you think anything important is gonna happen today?" Chara asked
"Nah, it's just a normal tuesday" (Y/n) said "Why do ya ask?"
"Gut feeling I suppose" Chara said "Anyways come on let's get to your first class"
"Hmm, that's weird maybe you're just out of it today" (Y/n) said as he started walking towards his class "or maybe you're gonna be absolutely correct"
"Let's hope I'm not correct as our week has already been interesting..." Chara said
"Yeah, anyways are you ready for class to begin?" (Y/n) asked as the bell rung signifying that classes start soon
"yeah" Chara asked
"good" (Y/n) said as he put his head on the desk and started to doze off
Just as (Y/n) was about to go to sleep the bell rang, he looked to both his sides noting that Chara is gone and Frisk is now in the chair to his left. The teacher then walks in and goes to the middle of the classroom.
"Hello class" (T/n) said
"Hello" Everyone replied
"Today we will be having an assembly so I would recommend you leave your stuff in here and grab it after we finish with the assembly" (T/n) said
"What's the assembly about?" A random student asked
"You will learn once we get there as I haven't even been told yet" (T/n) replied
"Hey frisk do you know anything about this?" (Y/n) asked
"Yep, but you will have to wait to learn" Frisk replied a small smirk on her face
Just as (Y/n) was about to reply e was interrupted by (T/n) "Everyone create a line and then we will head to the Gym for the assembly" as (T/n) said this the class started to walk to the entrance.
"Come on frisk just tell me!" (Y/n) asked yet again
"Nope you don't get to know until we get there" Frisk said
"But whyyyyy?" (Y/n) asked sounding like he was in despair
"Because it's funny knowing something you don't" Frisk said
"Ugh, you suck frisk" (Y/n) said playfully
The line started moving and once (Y/n) left the classroom he could hear everyone talking about the assembly. (Y/n) enters the Gym and walks to one of the sets of bleachers and takes a seat next to frisk.
"Man it must be important if they really stopped school on a tuesday for this" (Y/n) said
"it is trust me (Y/n)" Frisk said
"Yeah, yeah, it's important but you still won't tell me what it's about!" (Y/n) said
"Shush I think the assembly is starting" Frisk said
"Okay, okay" (Y/n) said as he looked towards the front of the Gym
As (Y/n) looked at the front of the Gym Almost every light turned off besides for the one pointing at the front of the Gym. A voice then boomed out from the speakers placed around the Gym. "Hello students! Freshman, sophomores, juniors, and seniors! This is your principal and I have come with a very important announcement!" (P/n) said
"Come on get on with it!" A random kid yelled
"Now I know some of you are confused why this announcement is so important that it stopped classes" (P/n) said as he started walking around "Well this announcement will cause a huge change in our school next semester. This change will affect the school as a whole!"
"Is it really that important?" (Y/n) whispered to himself
"Yes it is (Y/n)" frisk said
"Anyways to the announcement. Monsters will be joining us in classes at Ebbot High! We are going to be a school that allows monsters to roam the halls and participate in classes with everyone else!" (P/n) announced
"I know some of you have some doubts especially after a magic incident caused by one our students, but there will be a system in place to stop monsters from abusing their magic"
"I think he's referring to me using my soul magic to protect you" (Y/n) said with a nervous chuckle
"This system will include a warning system if the monster uses their magic they will be sent to a building with only monsters to make sure that the other students are not affected by their misdemeanors" (P/n) said
"Hmm? is he gonna make a whole separate cafeteria for them... That's a bit excessive no?" (Y/n) said
"Don't worry it's a good precaution" Frisk said
"Next part of this warning system. Warnings will be counted every time the user's magic is used to harm one another or to inconvenience them. This will include bullying, violence, and any other type of harm that can be caused." (P/n) said

"And this will go in effect as soon as the next semester arrives! Say hello to monsters next year and I hope you all get along!" (P/n) said as he walked away into the faculty room
"You like the news (Y/n)?" Frisk asked
"Eh, i'm a bit apprehensive. Mainly because of the reaction of humans. I mean think about it the school might be really racist towards them." (Y/n) said
"Well, if they are racist towards the monsters then we can tell the staff and they'll deal with them" Frisk said
"That is right but most people don't snitch in high school is the problem" (Y/n) said
The lights then turn on illuminating the whole Gym. Everyone starts walking towards their teachers to grab their stuff before heading to next period.
"That is correct but who knows maybe with how different monsters social standards are they might actually snitch unlike humans." Frisk said
"That may be true I didn't think of that" (Y/n) said as his class started walking back to their classroom
"Yeah, let's just hope that monsters stand up for themselves without fighting the humans." Frisk said
"That would be for the best" (Y/n) said
'I wonder where Chara is. Did she hear the news?' (Y/n) thought
"Hey (Y/n)" Chara said appearing right next to him
(Y/n) just stared forward not trying to attract attention to him by talking to the air.
'Ugh, why is she here now of all times! Frisk is right here does she not know that?' (Y/n) thought
"So Frisk, what are you doing after school?" (Y/n) asked trying to tell chara that Frisk is here
"Uhm, nothing much, why do you ask?" Frisk asked
"Oh, just wanted to know in case we wanted to uhm, something later" (Y/n) said as he noticed chara still there
"(Y/n) come on talk to me!" Chara said with a joking tone
"..." Frisk stayed silent as she stayed still seemingly looking at chara
'Wait why is Frisk so focused on Chara's location?' (Y/n) thought 'Oh fuck... She's visible"
"Come on (Y/n) it's not like she c-" Chara said as she was cut off
"Hey Chara" Frisk said her demeanor completely different
"Oh fuck" Chara said as took off running but then stopped as she was forced to be next to (Y/n) due to their 'deal'
"(Y/n) you idiot! You let some random person LINK TO YOUR SOUL" Frisk yelled as everyone looked at Frisk with a sign of confusion "Fuck, now i'm gonna need to get sans and we're gonna have a entire fucking talk about this"
"I-I'm sorry for lying?" (Y/n) said anxiously "Listen Chara can change! Trust me she hasn't done anything bad to me! She helped me learn how to use my magic!"
"You wouldn't be saying that if you actually knew her (Y/n)" Frisk said
"Okay, I may not know her too well, but still! She is incredibly nice and whatever she has done, it can't be that bad!"
"Trust me (Y/n), it is THAT BAD" Frisk said "It may be partially my fault but she must be held responsible for actions as well!"
(Y/n) then turned back to see Chara gone.
"She can change! She has changed!" (Y/n) said trying to get through to her
"Trust me the things that she has done are unforgivable (Y/n), if you hear what she has done you will understand"
"Well then tell me what she's done!" (Y/n) said
"No, I couldn't and I shouldn't" Frisk said as she turned away from him and went into the classroom
"Frisk!" (Y/n) said as he tried to grab her arm but as he was about to grab her arm she smacked his hand away
