Anansa beams down to the planet Ardana with Spock and Kirk they look up at the city in the clouds known as Stratos "well at least it isn't a castle!" Anansa teases Kirk chuckles Spock raises his eyebrow at her "though I must say I wasn't expecting something that looked so technological perhaps something more brought out of a fantasy" she says Kirk smiles she looks over at the Mine entrance and her tails twitch in warning she walks slowly towards it then turns and catches the ropes that were tossed in her direction pulling the people who hold them so that they fall to the ground on their knees "now that was quite rude! so unless you want yo be the one tied up you best explain yourself!" she says "Anansa" Kirk says as he and Spock walk over to her "I'm sorry Captain but I don't take kindly to being snuck up on" she replies he smiles and says "that's understandable" she looks at him and asks "do you think the High Advisor didn't receive your message or didn't inform them that we were coming!?" she looks at the people who stand before her and says "though is groups seems rather hostile so perhaps they don't care" she lassos them so that they are now all tied together and Kirk raises his eyebrow at her as the small group of four miners struggle to get out of their own ropes grip "you didn't watch her footwork did you Captian!? it isn't my fault my hands are quicker than her feet or perhaps she was smart enough to take my words to heart" Anansa says Kirk looks at her with a curious expression on his face just then three people beam down Anansa turns and says "I believe these four belong to you sir" she hands the rope to one of the people she figured was a guard and the group still being held by the rope struggle to break free but the guard holds firm to the rope and says "thank you kindly miss" she bows her head respectfully at him as the only female of the group growls "let us go!" the bearded man who stood inbetween the two guards that came with him turns his attention to his guests and says "I'm Plasus, High Advisor of the Planet Council" Kirk replies "Captian Kirk, Enterprise my First Officer Spock and his Yeoman Anansa" Plasus looks at her curiously "his personal assistant who James likes to steal on a whims notice" Anansa tells him Kirk smiles "how did you know...!?!" Plasus asks "foxes have very keen senses" she replies he smiles then says "my regrets for the unpleasantness of your welcome to Ardana" she replies "it must happen quite often after all what they mine is quite valuable and they quite possibly know that, the greedy ones must use that to their advantage" the female pulls on the rope which tightens everytime she does and growls "should I have continued and said "and take more than they deserve"!? and I wouldn't do that one more pull and you'll constrict your airways, you won't die but it will hurt" Anansa tells her Plasus looks at his guards and says "place them within the Rostrum and find the Zenite Consignment" the guards leave one going one way the other taking his prisoners to a holding cell up in the city in the sky "meanwhile, Captian, I would suggest that you, First Officer Spock and Yeoman Anansa be our guests on Stratos" Plasus says waving his hand towards the platform they all had beamed down on when they came to the planets surface "I'm going to go help find the Consignment" Anansa says softly looking at Spock who she knows is going to disagree with her "suggestion" "I would rather you came with us" Spock replies she nods there was something about the sadness in her eyes that told him she didn't want to go to the city but she was given a order while on duty so she was going to follow it and he wondered why she didn't want to go as they were talking Kirk says to Plasus "very well I do hope the search will be brief, Mr. Advisor" and Plasus reply "we'll do everything possible to make it so come, gentleman and lady"....
Spock, Anansa, Kirk and Plasus materialize on a balcony with some stairs "remarkable" Spock says as he looks down at the land below them "almost reminds me of the veins of a leaf" Anansa says softly "it does doesn't it!?" Kirk replies with a smile he could see the sadness in her eyes and he thinks he understands from her point of view it's a land without life no flowers, trees, grass, animals etc. and he understood that view perfectly "I was speaking of the fact that this is the finest example of sustained antigravity elevation I've ever seen" Spock says "of course you were" Anansa says with a smile he rubs his knuckles up against hers as he hides a smile of his own Plasus starts walking down the steps and the other three follow a blonde woman in a skirted genie/Princess Jasmine type outfit walks over to where they are and says to Plasus "the Sentinel told me of our honored guests, my father I came to extend greetings" Plasus replies "a most gracious act gentlemen, one of our planets most incomparable works of art, my daughter Droxine" Droxine chuckles softly then smiles at being called a work of art by her father "if you like Picasso!" Anansa thinks to herself with a slightly sarcastic tone "Captain James Kirk" Plasus introduces "a pleasure, madam" Kirk says "indeed yes, Captain" Droxine replies "First Officer Spock" Plasus introduces Spock bows his head "I have never before met a Vulcan, sir" Droxine says "nor I a work of art, madam" Spock replies "and his attendant Anansa" Plasus introduces a flicker of jealousy shines in Droxine's eyes as she looks at the gorgeous Kitsune who stands inbetween Spock and Kirk.... Spock, Anansa and Kirk are given a tour the room they are now in then guided to the Chambers that have been set up for them by one of the Sentinels.... once Anansa was left alone in the quarters she was given she heads towards Spock's and Kirks and finds Spock speaking with "the work of art" Droxine about Pon Farr which she had learned about from his parents and not him "you only take a mate every seven years?" Droxine asks Spock who replies "the seven year cycle is biologically inherent in all Vulcans at that time, the mating drive outweighs all other motivations" Droxine sits on a bench in the room then looks up at Spock and asks "and is there nothing that can disturb that cycle, Mr. Spock?" Spock sits next to her and replies "extreme feminine beauty.... is always.... disturbing..... madam" Anansa walks out of the room and it is then that Spock finally notices her departing presence he sits up quickly and rushes out of the room to go find the Kitsune he loves.... "Captian!" Anansa shouts when she finds the room known as the Rostrum Kirk comes running towards her and hears her say softly "I did not mean for this to happen!" he turns his head and sees the Troglytes being tortured by a prism of light Spock walks over and sees the same thing he goes to reach for Anansa but she steps away from him and he becomes sad the machine that creates the light that is torturing the people who tried to take Anansa, Spock and Kirk hostage when they first came to the planets surface somehow mysteriously breaks down and Kirk hides a smile "how could you do this to your own people!?! if this is how you take care for them it's no wonder they rebel against you!" Anansa says with a disappointed tone "you don't know how it works on our planet" Plasus replies "oh I have a idea and it's a wonder your kind have failed for so long! why your land is so dead and you prison yourselves in the clouds just to get away from it and the "trouble" it brings you!" she says Plasus becomes angry "have either of you....!? what am I asking of course you haven't! you enjoy your life up here in the clouds far too much to ever go down there and see what life truly is like for those who are forced to suffer on your dead land because you THINK they are inferior and dumber than you are but with how they have presented themselves so far I'd say you're wrong sure they failed in their "mission" to capture us but they led us to believe that you had granted our request for what we need to help others who are dying on another planet, they stand strong even when being tortured by your device if you ask me I'd say they are the ones who are smarter than you and possibly in many ways more superior for all the hardships they have been forced to live through have made them that way" Anansa says "how dare you!" Plasus replies "no, Mr. Advisor how dare YOU! how dare you allow this stupidity to go on for so long! how dare you treat your fellow Ardanans in such a way even if they are "lower" than you! oh yes I'm sure this has been your way for far too long but I assure you sir now would be the best time to change that after all what harm have they truly caused you besides creating a hole in a piece of art with a dagger!? I have no need to ask what sort of harm you have caused them for it has been quite apparent from the moment we entered this deplorable planet!" Anansa says Spock looks at her with a shocked expression on his face "the land can only take care of you if you take care of it same goes for the people who live on it and we all can see that you have not been taking care of either!" she adds ignoring Spock completely she looks at Kirk and says "I think I've spoke my mind enough for today Captain I do not wish for you to lose what you have yet to gain and I believe I owe these tortured souls a apology" Kirk nods with a smile and watches as she walks away "she was not speaking of you" Kirk informs a smiling Plasus who frowns at those words....
Anansa asks Scotty to beam her back down to the surface where she heals the land below the balcony so that it now has rich fertile soil with grass, flowers and trees of all different types that were once native to the land before it had died she heads to the Mine and creates a waterfall that flows from the very top of it down to the land below into a lake on one side of it and a garden on the other she only stops when she becomes tired after all it's a lot of work to bring something back to life and create something that was never there before... when Kirk called Scotty to beam him and Spock back to the Enterprise Scotty first beamed them down to the surface where they see what Anansa has done Kirk was all smiles Spock on the other hand was worried for he knew how exhausted she must be and he rushes throughout the land to find her then is told she was beamed aboard the Enterprise herself and is now in Uhura's quarters which broke Spock's heart for he has no idea what he had done Kirk and Spock are beamed aboard the Enterprise and when Spock went to go check up on Anansa he was told by Uhura that Anansa did not wish to speak with him "you told a girl you only met once things the woman you love had to learn from your parents! things you swore were forbidden for outsiders to know and you wonder what you did wrong!?! do you feel no shame!?!" Uhura asks his heart breaks even more for he realizes that she's right he was far too open with the "work of art" more open than he ever has been to the "masterpiece of the universe" known as the Kitsune he loves.... Anansa walks onto the Bridge as Kirk asks Bones "can you neutralize the gas?" and Bones reply "no but a filter mask should remove the exposure" they both turn when they hear Anansa say "actually.... if I can get Scotty's help I should be able to create a filtration system that we can place in the Mine it will take a bit of time so using the mask for now would be a good idea" Kirk smiles at her and says "well rested I see!" she replies "it's good to know you know how to use your eyes Captain" he chuckles "do we know how big the mine is!? I need to know how many to make" she says Spock looks it up then tells her she nods in reply but says nothing and he frowns as she leaves the Bridge without a word she heads to Engineering to speak with Scotty and let him know what she had planned and of course he helped her make each of the filters for her filtration system which they made look like glowing rocks that would blend in with the mine itself but still look different so it.... hopefully won't accidently be broken because it was thought to be a rock from the mine itself that holds Zenite within it they make them easy enough for the Troglytes to repair them if they were ever damaged or broken.... when Kirk and the Troglytes who tried to capture Anansa, Spock and Kirk when they first came to the planet reach the Mine they see Scotty who is wearing a Filtration Mask and Anansa who was not placing the Filtration System they had created with in it and the Troglytes watch in horror as a light that looks much like the prism light of the rostrum flows along the top of the mine reaching all corners of it "that's just the invisible gas showing itself the light should disappear soon" Anansa tells them "I figured glowing rocks will help them distinguish what is part of the actual Mine and what isn't and that heat may help each filtration system connect to one another the light is just showing that it's working it'll flow till they all connect then disappear" she tells Kirk who smiles "there is only one part of the cave we haven't been in yet and I'm sure they're about to take you to it might as well use it to your advantage Captain" she adds he nods with a smile "we can come back later Scotty" she tells her friend who nods then they leave the Mine and teleport back to the Enterprise and Scotty is surprised to see Spock standing in the Teleportation Room waiting what shocks him even more is that Anansa ignores the Vulcan and walks out of the room without a word even more shocking than that is the heartbroken expression on the Vulcan's face as he watches her leave "I suppose you're lucky she hasn't asked for a transfer" Scotty says "actually she has" Spock replies Scotty's eyes widen in shock "she has asked for Uhura to be her new liaison" Spock tells him and Scotty just about sighs in relief he feared that she was going to leave them completely and he could see that Spock feared the same thing.... Droxine looks down at the half fertile land below her balcony with a shocked expression on her face and she wonders who did it "no! it couldn't be!" she whispers when she thinks of the gorgeous foxlike woman who she is insanely jealous of because of said beauty her father walks over and sees the same thing she is now staring at and also looks at it with a shocked expression on his face they stand and talk for awhile until he gets aggravated by her speaking of Spock so fondly then he has her leave and gets teleported to the Enterprise then the Mine once he's alone and he finds out that Kirk did not lie to him about the gas.... Anansa hands Kirk a face veil and says "for the "work of art".." he chuckles for he knew exactly what she was referring to especially since Plasus and his daughter do not know of the Filtration System that now resides in every Mine on the planet Spock looks at them curiously "perhaps you should give this to her she seems quite taken by you" Kirk says as he hands it to Spock who replies "I rather not, Captain" Kirk says with a smile "that's a order, Mr. Spock" Spock nods with a frown but he takes the Veil into his hands and looks at the intricate design of it he knows that the computer made it for it didn't feel the same as everything Anansa makes he also believes it will fit the women's outfit quite beautifully and both thoughts almost make him smile though he wonders if he will ever be capable of gaining Anansa's forgiveness for the wrong he has committed for even he wonders what it was about that woman that made him open up so easily when it should have been Anansa that he was that open with from the very start of their friendship that became so much more perhaps the anger he felt when he learned that his parents so freely opened up to her and told her many of the Vulcan's secrets was because of the fact that he never opened up that freely himself.... when Spock returned to the Enterprise after he and Kirk gained what they went to the planet to get from the very start he goes in search of Anansa who he found in the holodeck which had a unfamiliar program running in it "this was my favorite place as a child my parents created it for me because they knew that I would be alone since our entire family were the outcasts of our planet and though I liked it it never made me as happy as I should be after all I was still alone, the only child born on the whole planet everyone else was older than me by so many years yes many made themselves look my age but it felt more like they were mocking me instead of truly wanting to be my friend I've lived a "fairytale" life with animals as my only friends until I met you and boy how wrong I was on how you truly feel about me" he hears Anansa say she walks over to him and says "perhaps I should have done this many years ago but I reject you Spock I no longer want to be by your side EVER again!" he whispers with a heartbroken tone "no!" she says "enjoy your time here for it shall be the last time you ever feel close to me" then she walks out of the holodeck and he bursts into tears
