Hakeem approached Abdallah smiling, "hi dude" he said smiling also.
just as Abdallah was about to start talking he saw layla passing with a tray of cookies, "layla!" he called, and he waved at her.
She smiled and then started to walk towards him, "hi Abdallah" she said standing beside his seat.
He stood up and collected two cookies from the tray that was in her hands, the cookies were straight from the oven.
He picked two and ate them at once and it was super yummy.
Seeing he was enjoying it she decided to keep the tray on the table, so she moved to the table and she mistakenly tripped causing the tray to fly out of her hand and the cookies on hakeem.
She gasped even before they landed, "where's you head at lady" he said standing up immediately.
"I'm sorry" she said closing her mouth, he glared at her before leaving, and she looked at him as he left feeling happy from within.
Abdallah also smiled when he saw her smiling, so she took the tray and left the place happily after what had happened.
So hakeem returned to his sit after he changed, "so what was so important that made you come here this late" he said checking his patek philip wristwatch.
"Hakeem let me tell you something that has been bothering me for a long time, you see it's layla I'm talking about" he said turning to hakeem's direction.
Hakeems heart stopped beating for a moment before he replied, "what do you mean by that" he said sweating seriously.
"I mean I like her and I think I've fallen for her and I want to spend the rest of my wonderful life with her" he said looking at the chandelier as if his life would be brighter than that.
Hakeem felt a sudden anger burrowing into his heart, "If you like her why are you telling me this then" he said acting like he didn't care.
"What should I do please hakeem, I'm in love wallahi", and hakeem felt like pinning him to the ground.
"Its not like I'm enjoying this talk Abdallah please leave me out of this, if you can't tell her then don't disturb me" he said holding his forehead with hand.
"You're right I should tell her" he said looking serious, hakeem didn't mean that but Abdallah took it serious and now he's in a big mess.
"I will tell her on her birthday then" he said smiling, "which day is that" hakeem asked curiously.
"I5th June dude", he replied hitting hakeem's chest before leaving.
He watched him as he left thinking of what to do next, hakeem stood up thinking of what to do to earn his gem.
He was walking to the kitchen just then he bumped into layla, she was wearing a long cotton lavender dress with a silk head tie that was about to slip.
He didn't notice he was starring until he saw her moving closer to him as she stood on her toes trying to reach his height. He froze thinking of what to do.
She then she whispered into his ears "You...you love me van?" She said with a soft voice.
He felt like hot water had been poured on his heart, "I love you, layla. I wasn't supposed to love you, but I do" he replied with honesty in his eyes.
She looked at him looking confused, "what the hell did i just say" he said in his mind.
"That isn't the next line" she said disappointed, he then understood what she meant by that question.
It was a line from the book, "it's a line from a new book I got from the auction, so don't start thinking of things in that small head of yours" he said confidently.
And then he left immediately not wanting to further the discussion.
Layla also left to her room after branching to Ammi's room, and that red diamond bracelet was still on her wrist, so she went to Ammi to ask if she could help her remove it.
In less than 6 days it was going to be her 19th birthday, the last time on her 18th birthday his highness granted her the permission to spend the whole day in his penthouse.
After Ammi tried various ways, but yet couldn't remove it. Layla came back to her room and slept thinking of how this 19th birthday would look like.

"Bring the jewellery here" said Ammi to the domestic helpers, they dropped the huge box on the table beside layla.
Rayhana was back from school so was salim, the house became more interesting after their return.
"Layla come" said Ammi sitting on the couch beside her seat, she stood up and she approached her smiling.
Wear this she said showing layla a pearl necklace amongst the necklaces that were being spread on the table.
Rayhana gasped upon hearing what Ammi said, "what?" Layla asked confused.
Just then salim walked in, "the ultimate necklace" he said taking his seat. "What?" She asked again this time she was seriously confused.
"Ignore them" said Ammi handing over the necklace to her, "you shall wear this on your birthday" she said trying to put the necklace on her.
In the middle of that hakeem walked in, he seemed to be in a very good mood today, "are you back already" asked Ammi.
"Yes I'm back and I'm done and dusted with the job" he said smiling as he fixed his white Babban riga, they all had never seen him dressed that way and smiling that way in their life.
"Hakeem where were you?" asked salim, "somewhere special" he said and walked away.
It was 4 days to layla's birthday, and inna suggested they go shopping, just like yasmin, rayhana escorted her.
At the mall layla was into a white dress the moment she saw it, rayhana too was into a white dress, since the evening was going to be a white evening they all bought white dresses.
They finished their shopping after buying a lot from the mall, and by 6pm they where home.
Tonight was going to be the best evening of layla's life, she was sleeping in her room after working for 2 hours straight.
Rayhana barged into the room causing her to wake-up, "get up and get ready" she said hitting her slowly.
She looked at the time on her phone, and she saw that it was almost time for the evening.
She quickly went to the restroom to Bath and get ready, when she was done with the bathroom she came out and met her cloth and jewellery layed on the bed.
She got ready into a white straight gown that was beaded nicely on the neck and hand area with a
white yet sparkly beads. She got ready quickly without wasting Time, and her herself knew she looked pretty.
She walked out of the room to the hall feeling hefself, rayhana and layla walked to the dining were all the family members were sitted.
To her bewilderment she saw her whole family at the dining, she was so shocked that she started to cry.
Ammi then held her hand and made her sit close to hakeem, layla looked at her when she saw her intentions.
And Ammi acted like she didn't see layla looking at her, and hakeem also sat there pretending not to even notice layla.
While everyone wore white he wore black which made layla irritated.
Abdallah waved at her from his seat so did she, after they finished eating, his highness said that he had a special announcement to announce.
"On this wonderful day" he said smiling at layla, "I would like to tell all the family and friends about my eldest sons marriage" she looked at hakeem surprisingly.
"Does this man here have a girlfriend" she said to rayhana smiling, and rayhana just hummed looking at layla awkwardly. "Just wait you shall see and hear who it is" she replied to layla in a whisper, just then his highness interrupted their whisper.
"With our beloved layla" he said finishing his statement, "what!" She exclaimed standing from her sit .
Upon hearing what his highness said Abdallah was utterly surprised, he looked at hakeem expecting him to be more angry than any one.
But he just sat there eating an apple and acting like nothing happened, Abdallah felt something painful in his heart which he never felt before.
He looked at her eyes for the very last time, and then realised that they never stared into his the way he did.
He then walked away quietly without anyone noticing.
Layla stormed out of the dinner angrily and heart-broken, and she ran off to the balcony immediately.
She stood by the rail tearing up slowly, just then hakeem came and stood next to her, it was then she realised how tall he was.
He had a cold expression, she thought he was in the same situation she was in, so she asked him. "Are you being forced too?".
He then rose one of his eyebrows and looked at her, "what do you mean" he said maintaining that cold expression.
"This marriage" she replied quickly. "No" he said with no emotions, he then leaned close to her, "I'm the one who ask your parents to give their beautiful daughter to me" he smirked.
