"I feel kinda....left out" Y/n sighed making Fern laugh a little and Frieren smile
"Come on,we've had enough making fun of my emotions let's go"Y/n said walking past both girls

Fern was currently asleep on Frieren's shoulder while Y/n sat on the other end of the wagon facing them
"Hey Frieren"
"Shhhhh! I'm reading"
"Do you think you'll ever grow to accept my demon side"
"This is suspicious Y/n, is this some plan to make me drop my guard around you"
"No, I'm sorry if I came off as suspicious" Y/n sighed

If you can go one year without disappointing me I'll accept you" Frieren said as she smiled warmly which is something Y/n never thought would ever be directed at him
"I promise I won't let you down" Y/n said smiling
"However if you do disappoint me I won't hesitate to kill you"

They arrived at a village where they were being told about ghost or people seeing dead loved ones
"Yeah I'm out of here" Y/n said going to walk away but Fern grabbed the back of his scarf

"Fern, are you crazy there are ghost here!"
"Y/n by any chance are you afraid of ghosts" Fern asked making Y/n sweat while looking away
"Who isn't" Y/n whined
"Aren't you a demon?"
"Half"
"I guess you are truly human at heart, being afraid of ghosts? You should know ghosts aren't real"
"They can't hurt you"
"Maybe physically" Y/n thought to himself but amidst their conversation Frieren caught onto the fact that Y/n was pretending and it wasn't ghosts he was afraid of.
"I guess we can help, it's probably just a monster" Y/n sighed as he walked away
"Way to put on you big boy pants" Fern said sarcastically making Y/n blow a raspberry at her
Y/n was currently asleep in a small room he had rented so he won't have to share a room with Frieren and Fern to give them some privacy since they're girls
"Nrghhhh" Y/n groaned as he woke up from his slumber. He looked around a little before standing up from his bed walking towards a table where he had a bottle of sake, sitting down on the table he poured himself a cup
"Hey Y/n" Y/n heard making his head snap at the direction of the voice
"F-Frieren what are you doing here" Y/n asked calmly as he stood up from the table
"I came to check on you"
"Oh? Why?"
"You seemed scared earlier"
"Yeah I think it's been established that I'm afraid of ghosts" Y/n said dryly as he turned towards his bed to pick up his white robe
"Is that so?" Frieren asked knowing he's only saying half of the truth
"Are you afraid of the monster?"
"The monster's Power" Y/n answered
"It's not like it's a strong monster and it only phantom it's not real, you know this"
"Do I know that the phantom is fake?yes,can I destroy it? I don't know depends on the phantom, actually I can and I will that's the scary part"
"Huh? I fail to understand what you mean"
"If a phantom of Himmel appeared would you destroy it?"
"Yes"
"Oh then I guess we're the same, maybe I'm not losing my mind"
"I'm sure you aren't"

They were currently in the forest Frieren and Fern were talking about the monster while Y/n just strolled behind them
"I really don't wanna do this" Y/n whined
"We have to help them out" Fern scolded making Y/n sigh. They walked into the forest as the fog started to become stronger
"Hey Frie- Y/n was caught off by the person he saw next to him
"Y/n you've grown so much"
"M-mom?"
"Yes son it's me your mom"
"I-I can't believe this"
"Y/n it's fake" Frieren yelled but Y/n could barely hear her
"You know mom, I'm grateful I got to see your face after 300 years I kinda forgot what you looked like" Y/n chuckled
"But this isn't heaven so I know this is not the real you" Y/n said as he unsheathed his twin blades
"I don't use these to fight just anyone, but since you resemble my mother I shall honor you and end this in one swift move" Y/n said as he got on his knees and crossed the sword
"Dual woe:X-man!!!" Y/n as he created a big X slash with his katanas slice the forest into an X shape reshaping the whole land scape while also killing the monster
"Oh boy this much destruction was unplanned for" Y/n laughed
"Y/n-sa- I mean Y/n you're pretty strong" Fern said looking at the destruction
"At least we got rid of it" Y/n said
"Frier- Y/n got caught off by Frieren patting his back
"You're a strong boy Y/n not just physically" Frieren said as she smiled at him
"Thanks" Y/n said sheathing his Katanas but Frieren was still patting him more like she was enjoying it more than he was
"L-lets go get some food shall we" Y/n quickly said

"You want to steal a grimoire from a dragon?!" Y/n said with disbelief
"Yes"

"Y/n wait" Fern said
"Okay fine I'll watch" Y/n said as he watched Fern attack the dragon but it only pissed it off making them run away
"I told you it's not possible unless we kill the dragon and I'm feeling kinda lazy right now" Y/n said walking away from them
"You're useless" Frieren deadpanned
"I'm gonna go rest now" Y/n said walking off

"Jeez, mom it's been 300 years since I saw you and I had to kill you" Y/n said as he looked at his hands that were shaking
"I'm a monster" Y/n said covering his face
"I should've just died back then" Y/n said slamming his head on the table in front of him
as he let out a deep sigh
"Frieren is really pretty" Y/n muttered to himself
"Why am I even talking to myself, I'm definitely loosing it"
"I just wish I could at least hug her, she smells really nice" Y/n muttered to himself again as he groaned turning his head to the other side making his eyes go wide seeeing Frieren standing next to him. He fell of his chair to thee floor in panic
"Frie-Frieren I ummm i..."
"Why do you look like you've seen a ghost"
"Maybe she didn't hear me after all. I should be happy but I'm kinda disappointed she didn't" Y/n thought to himself
"It's nothing"
"I've been looking for you all day"
"Oh I'm sorry"
"We found a new boy to Join our party, meet me at the dragons place tomorrow"
"A-a new boy?"
"Why do you look disturbed"
"Nothing"

Y/n watched as the red haired boy killed the dragon but was still Yelling for Frieren to help him
