The night extended, and we relished every moment, getting closer to Shreesha.

However, as time passed, both Veer and Siya indulged in more drinks, leaving me relatively sober since I had to drive back home, and Siya didn't drink.

"Stay still, don't move!" Shreesha commanded, holding Siya while I supported the increasingly erratic Veer.

She scolded them for their excessive drinking, and they listened with heads bowed.

Leaving the club, Siya seemed calm, but Veer was spiraling out of control.

"Okay, okay, listen, I have a joke," Veer interjected.

Shreesha rolled her eyes, and Veer asked, "Why?" The punchline followed, "Because it was two-tired!" Veer burst into laughter like a madman, and I couldn't help but snicker.

Shreesha glared at me, promptly silencing me.

Holding Siya, she unlocked the car, securing her in the passenger seat with the seatbelt.

After confirming her settled state, Shreesha turned her attention to the increasingly uncontrollable Veer.

She glared at him, hands on her hips, while I continued to hold him.

"Will you stop!" she exclaimed at Veer.

He stopped momentarily, stood straight, and looked at her with a blank expression.

After a brief silence, Veer broke free from my hold and started running, shouting, "No!" as he fled.

Wide-eyed, Shreesha was the first to run after him, and I followed suit.

We struggled to catch up as Veer laughed and ran around like an ecstatic child, babbling something

Some onlookers gave him strange stares. After numerous attempts, we managed to catch him and dragged him back towards the car, though he continued to wiggle in our grasp.

Left with no choice, Shreesha asked me to hold him for a moment and went to the car trunk, retrieving some ropes.

She approached us and instructed, "Put him inside the car." Veer, however, was not cooperative.

I pushed him into the car, and Shreesha, coming from the other side, proceeded to tie him to the back seat. I looked at her in shock.

She noticed my stare and explained, "I don't have a choice. He will pull some stunts I can't handle."

After closing the door, she took a deep breath and looked at me.

"I'm sorry for this. Because of my friends, you had to—" she began.

"No, no, it's okay. Now they're my friends too," I reassured her with a smile.

She smiled back, and as we lost ourselves in each other, we heard a banging noise.

Looking up, we saw Veer banging on the car window and saying something.

Shreesha sighed, looking at him.

"You go home; it's already late. I'll handle them," she said, finally looking at me.

"Are you sure you can take them home?" I asked, unsure.

"Who said I'm taking them home? I can't take them home in this state," she replied.

"Then where are you going?" I asked, confused.

"Nowhere. I'll be driving the whole night until they come to their senses," she said with a sigh.

"What!?" I asked, shocked.

"What? I don't have any choice," she said, shrugging her shoulders as if it were a normal thing for her.

"I won't let you be alone the whole night," I declared.

She raised a brow at me.

"Do you have any better options?" she asked.

"Yes! I have an idea. We can go to my home," I suggested, coming up with what I thought was a brilliant idea.

"No, we can't. You saw how out of control they are, and it would be a disaster at your home. So, no," she said, shaking her head.

I thought for a while and then said, "Then I'll come with you, and I won't hear no," with a dominant voice, ensuring she didn't refuse.

She released a shuddering breath, thought for a moment, and reluctantly agreed, "Okay, come." She headed towards the driver's seat.

I smiled and was about to open the passenger seat door when she added, "Umm, actually, we can't put them together in this state. Can you sit in the back seat?" she asked hesitantly.

I was confused but nonetheless went to the back seat beside Veer, only to find him whining in discomfort.

I just shook my head at him, thinking about my car that I would need to arrange to pick up tomorrow.

Finally, she started the car and began driving towards the highway. "By the way, where are we going?" I asked after a while.

"I don't know, just driving around the highway because we can't drive in the city at midnight," she said, shrugging her shoulders.

After a while, she put on some music, turning up the volume and vibing with it, while Siya sang along and babbled something in her drunk state.

I looked at Veer, who was oddly silent for some reason. I just shrugged off my thoughts and stared at Shreesha, who was driving.

I hadn't noticed before, but her driving skills were very good, and she looked hot.

I couldn't help but stare at her.

We were going through silent roads, trees lining the sides under the starry night. It felt good; I felt peaceful with the silence.

"You should sleep for some time," she suggested, looking at me through the mirror.

"No, it's fine. Either way, I can drive, and you can rest for a while," I said, moving forward.

"No, it's okay. I can drive; I have done this before," she said, chuckling.

"You mean they have done this before?" I asked with an amused tone.

"Not much, just one or two times. I don't mind; after all, they are my best friends," she said, chuckling.

I chuckled and nodded. We talked and talked, not noticing the time; it was already midnight.

After some silence, we heard a screeching noise and the car came to a halt.

We looked at each other, and she got out of the car.

I looked at those two who were now sleeping soundly and got out of the car just to see her checking the car.

"What happened?" I asked, standing beside her and examining the car.

"I don't know. I think the engine oil is finished," she said, looking at it.

"Wait, let me see," I said. She nodded and moved aside.

He was examining the car, and I just stared at him.

His sleeves of the black shirt were folded till his elbow, displaying his veiny hands. I found myself lost in admiring them.

I came out of my dreamland hearing a loud cough. I looked in front only to see smoke coming out of the car, and he was coughing due to inhaling the smoke.

"Wtf!" I sprinted towards him and patted his back, pulling him back.

I went and took my phone and water bottle from the car, handing him the bottle.

He drank it in one go while I patted his eyes, looking at him with concern.

"Are you okay?" I asked, finally feeling him calming down.

"Y-yeah," he said, still feeling some cough in his throat.

He finally calmed down and looked at me.

"I'm fine now, thank you," he reassured, seeing my concerned face.

"Okay," I said with a smile. "Now... what should we do?" he asked, looking at the car.

"I think we should call a mechanic," i suggested.

"It's midnight; where are you going to find a mechanic?" he countered.

"I know one; he will come. I just need to call him," I said, taking out my phone.

He was unsure but nonetheless nodded at me.

I called my mechanic; he didn't pick up. I called him a few times until he finally answered.

The first thing he did was start cursing me, then realized who he was talking to and apologized.

I told him about the situation; he said he wouldn't be able to come right now but promised to arrive early in the morning.

I tried to expedite the process, but not having any option, I agreed with him and hung up the call with a sigh.

I looked at Ayansh, only to find him already looking at me.

"He said he will be here early in the morning," I said with a sigh. He looked at me and sighed.

"So what do we do now?" he asked.

"I don't know, maybe sleep for a while in the car," I said, shrugging my shoulder.

We were talking when we heard a loud sound from the car. We both snapped at it and ran towards the car, only to feel embarrassed and awkward.

They both were having their moment.

"How on earth did they end up like that?!" I exclaimed in frustration.

I looked up at him in embarrassment; his condition was not different from mine. "Uh, I'm sorry—"

"No, no, it's not your fault," he said, scratching the back of his neck.

We heard some groans followed by moans from the car; a red hue spread on my cheeks as well as his neck.

After a while, the car started moving. We looked at each other and ran away from the car, not wanting to feel more embarrassed.

"Thank god the glasses were black tinted," I murmured.

There was an awkward silence between us; no one knew what to say.

"So, this is why you said you can't leave them together in that state?" he asked, breaking the silence.

I nodded awkwardly.

Again, we were silent; we just roamed on the road, eventually talking and waiting for sunrise so we could go back.

After a while, I sat on the road, feeling tired, followed by him who sat beside me.

We just leaned back and stared at the stars.

"Your life is full of excitement and thrills," he said suddenly, chuckling at my state.

"What do I do, kismet hai aisi hai!" I said, fake crying.

"You know, ever since I met you, I've been smiling more often. I had a cold personality; I still have but not for you," he said, smiling and still looking at the stars.

I looked at him, waiting for him to continue.

"In just a few days, I can notice changes in myself. Think if we will be together, how much better it will be," he said, finally looking at me.

"I didn't believe in love at first sight, but after seeing you, I changed my thoughts about it."

"I never cared about anyone, but when it comes to you, it's different. I always feel warmth spreading in my heart whenever thoughts of you come to my mind," he said, spilling his thoughts and looking at me with admiration in his eyes.

I couldn't contain myself and hugged him, feeling overwhelmed.

It took him by surprise, but nonetheless, he hugged me back, stroking my back.

"You know, I never hugged someone like this. You are the first one," I said with a smile, not breaking the hug.

"Even I never did; I never let a girl come close to me," he said in a low voice.

We stayed like that, seeking warmth and comfort from each other.

The night went like that with us hugging and talking all night while those two were having a wild night inside the car!
