1 year and 7 months later, in early October, Leia has successfully debuted as a writer as she dreams of. After she ended her Master Degree study, she's working hard to publish her first book with the help of Sungyoon and Jibeom's friend, Editor Son.
A year has passed after Serendipity marks as a year Sungyoon has finished his PhD studies. Sungyoon's dream to become a university lecturer has been fulfilled as he really became a lecturer now. "Dr. Choi Sungyoon" is his pronoun in the university. Even though Sungyoon's cancer is at the M5 leukemia now and he still needs to undergo chemotherapy, he's still delighted to achieve what he's been dreaming of. His body is becoming thinner yet his hair has slowly grown longer back. However, there are some days Sungyoon got relapse so he'll spend most of his time in the hospital. His cancer has started attacking his liver completely but a few months ago, Sungyoon has undergone a surgery to remove the cancer cells from his liver as he got a suitable donor for him. But still, the criminal odd cells are seemingly not to stop attacking him.
Dr Daeyeol has suggested various methods to treat Sungyoon because he's worried about Sungyoon's health. Leia has undergone bone marrow biopsy to determine whether her bone marrow is matched with Sungyoon. Sadly, she doesn't match. Even Jibeom, Bomin and his parents aren't match to treat Sungyoon. Leia got to know that Sungyoon had lost contact with his real mother after some 'business' Sungyoon did with her succeeded. Leia tries to track her down just to let her have bone marrow biopsy to find a matching sample to help Sungyoon but she is nowhere to be found. Now, Sungyoon is undergoing radiotherapy and chemotherapy as other plans. Yet, Sungyoon is very positive about his health. His determination makes everyone to think that he's going to recover!

"I don't want you to see it! I might feeling nervous if I see you!" Leia says. Jibeom laughs.
"Hahaha so I was right.. okay then I won't come" Jibeom says. Leia laughs.
"I'll watch the videos online after event. You dressed warm, okay?" Jibeom says.

A few minutes later, the event begins. Leia has finally gets to have his first "public appearance" after she debuted as a writer. The event goes pretty well with the Q&A sessions are being conducted professionally. Leia is happy to meet her readers.
After the event ends, Leia is trying to contact Jibeom but he doesn't answer his phone. Leia then decides to just leave him a message because she has to meet the manager of the event.
Jung Leia :

Leia then goes to meet the manager.

"Ms. Jung, you've done so well today! I'm very proud of you!" The manager says.
"I'm just doing the best I can! However, thank you so much for inviting me here! It's such an honour to be here!" Leia says.
"We're looking forward for your future work! Maybe we can collaborate again sometime later!" The manager says. Leia nods enthusiastically. The manager smiles proudly.
"Oh anyway, one of your colleagues wants me to give you this.." the manager says.
"Colleague?" Leia asks while taking a box of donuts from the manager.
"Yeah. I met him while you were just finished your talk. He seemed in rush at that time. He said he's the employee of the company" The manager says.
"But.. there's no other employee that comes today other than Editor Son.." Leia is doubting.
"Maybe an acquaintance of yours? He is someone good-looking I can say?" The manager says.
"I... I'll ask Editor Son about that.. thank you so much, anyway.." Leia says.

"Where are you now?" Leia asks.
"Near you" Jibeom says.
"I just got to the hotel.. what am I gonna do now?" Leia asks.
"You got the key from the front desk, right? There's an elevator on the right side of the front desk. Come up babe~ I want you to come to me today" Jibeom says.
"I just got to the front of the room. Is it the right room?" Leia asks.
"You'll see" Jibeom says. He hangs up the call. Leia tries to open the room door with the key she got from the front desk. While holding the ring she got for Jibeom, she opens the door.

"Surprise!" A party thrown for Leia's debut as a writer.
"Jibeom? What is this?" Leia is shocked but happy to see it. Jibeom smiles. Leia feels happier when she can see that all her Serendipity friends, Bomin's parents and mutuals!
"This is the party to celebrate a great person like you!" Jibeom says. Leia grins.
"You don't have to do this!" Leia says. Jibeom smiles. Leia greets other guests who come straightaway. Leia hugs Sungyoon as she sees that Sungyoon is there too.
"Are you discharged yet?" Leia asks. Sungyoon smiles widely.
"Yes! I've discharged early today" Sungyoon says. Leia smiles. Sungyoon strokes on Leia's head before he notices Jibeom from Leia's back, asking Sungyoon to make Leia turns around.
"Leia.. Jibeom has something to say to you.." Sungyoon says when Leia greets him. Leia looks back. She's shocked to see that Jibeom is kneeling in front of her. Jibeom takes a red case from his pocket and he shows it to Leia. In the bright red case he holds, there's a diamond ring.
"Leia.. I've been thinking about this for a while. I think.. this is the right chance to make a move.. so..." Jibeom says. Leia is still speechless to see him. Everyone is amazed to see the moment.
"Leia, will you.. marry me?" Jibeom looks deeply into Leia's eyes. Leia is shocked. She looks at Sungyoon. Sungyoon nods his head, marking as he's agreeing if Leia wants to accept Jibeom's proposal. Everyone who sees it grins from ear to ear.

Leia wakes up in the morning and she gets a message from Jibeom.
