Chapter 7 - Tension

Right after frisk left (Y/n)'s hospital Room
Frisk's P.o.V
I left the room, the feeling of unease still present, like she was there. I continued walking down the hall as I walked farther and farther away the feeling left me and was much less apparent. If she was there what did she want with (Y/n)? She couldn't possibly want his soul, right?
"Ugh, enough of that I need to get home before Toriel starts worrying about me" Frisk said talking to herself as she started lightly jogging home. "Could it be because of (Y/n)'s magic? What am I even saying there's no way she would benefit from that, right?"
Timeskip to frisk arriving at her house brought to you by chibi Inky now trying to get back into the swing of writing
"Hey mom!" Frisk yelled into the seemingly empty house
"Heya kid" A boney friend replied
"Sans!" Frisk yelled as she went to hug him
"Not right now kid" Sans replied his tone now serious
"What happened?" Frisk asked confused
"She's back" He replied ominously
"I knew it... She's been around a friend of mine... His name is (Y/n), the first one to be able to use soul magic" Frisk said
"Fuck, of course it's that kid" Sans replied
"What's to worry about it's not like she can come back, right?" Frisk said
"Well, you mentioned he is able to use soul magic right?" Sans said "We monsters are made of magic so I am assuming by being around him, she can come back to this world..."
"But she needs to form a deal with him right? Like she did with me?" Frisk said panic overtaking her speech as he started pacing around the room
"yes, but why do you think she's sticking around if she hasn't already formed a deal with him?"
As Sans said that frisk stopped in place "You mean that chara could be coming back soon?!" Frisk said with complete shock "No, we can't let that happen we have to break the contract"
"And how do you suppose we do that other than getting rid of your friend?" Sans said
"I-I'm not sure" Frisk replied
"Exactly, my plan is to let her come back and kill her" Sans said "Or we try to reform her" Sans joked as he looked at frisk who seemed to contemplate the second option
"Well, we could theoretically reform her, right?" Frisk asked "If we could Toriel would be happy"
"You... have a point" Sans replied "But how would someone like her change?"
"W-We could try to save her... if not we kill her" Frisk said hesitantly "Also if we kill her we'll damage (Y/n)'s soul... right?"
"Yes it will" Sans said
"Tomorrow me and you will go check on (Y/n) if he's still there" Frisk said
"Yeah and i'll see if I can notice any signs of her while we're there" Sans said

(Y/n)'s P.o.V
(Y/n) woke up from yet another long nap and looked to his side. He saw his grandfather fast asleep at his side. (Y/n) looked outside of the window near his bedside and saw it was extremely bright outside.
"Jesus it's bright"
(Y/n) said as he heard the door open behind him. He turned around and was greeted by Frisk and an oddly short skeleton monster. "Hello?"
"Hi (Y/n)!" Frisk said excited
"Hey kid" The skeleton said
"Uhhh, hi?" (Y/n) said confused "Who are you?"
"Im sans, sans the skeleton" Sans said "And you're (Y/n), right?"
"Yep that's me" (Y/n) said "Why are you here?"
"Just wanted to talk to ya kiddo" Sans said
"Talk about what?" (Y/n) asked
"About your magic of course" Sans said as he walked closer
"What do you want to know?" (Y/n) asked as he turned his body towards frisk and sans
"Everything you know about it and how you've improved so fast"
Sans said as he walked closer his pupils disappearing as he neared your bedside. "Did you get help from the Demon Girl?" as he said this (Y/n) backed away feeling scared but why?
"Y-" (Y/n) tried to say as he felt hands over his lips
"Say no right now!" Chara said a slight tremble in her voice
"N-No" (Y/n) said as he looked at sans who didn't look like he believed him
"Are you sure that a Demon Girl named Chara hasn't talked to you?" Sans asked again
"Y-Yes" (Y/n) said his voice close to a whisper due to the intensity of the situation
"Don't lie to me kiddo" Sans said as you felt like you were being judged for some reason
"I wouldn't!" (Y/n) said his voice slightly louder than before
"Okay, thanks kiddo, seems like I misjudged you" He said as he walked towards frisk "We're leaving"
You tried to say something to him but as he touched frisks shoulder he took a step and disappeared.
"What the hell just happened?" (Y/n) said the tension in the air dissipating
"That was sans... Me and him aren't on good terms either..." Chara said looking guilty as she avoided eye contact "Anyways, if we see him can we both agree to avoid him?"
"Yes, of course..." (Y/n) said the tension in the room now gone "anyways, what should we do while we wait for me to be discharged?"
"Well, we just have to wait I guess" Chara said as she looked in the opposite direction
"actually how about we play a game of truth or dare?"
"Wait truth or dare is still around?" Chara said "Nevermind that, sure, just nothing absurd got it?"
"Got it, same goes for you! Make sure the dare is something I can do in this room!" (Y/n) said "Anyways you wanna go first or should I?"
"I'm fine with whatever but since you asked I'll take the opportunity" Chara said "Truth or dare (Y/n)"
"I'll choose truth" (Y/n) said

(A/n): Sorry I didn't do anything with that truth or dare I'm just not great at being really creative! So I didn't really have any questions! Anyways you didn't learn much since all she did was pick dare so that's unfortunate. Maybe next time!
(Y/n)'s P.o.V
The alarm clock blared in his ear as he woke up and turned it off. "Ughhhhh" (Y/n) groaned as he got out of bed and grabbed a towel and an outfit. He went into his bathroom and did his daily routine, He looked at his himself in the mirror after his shower and noticed his eyes were a lighter hue.
"Ehh, i'm just tired, right?" (Y/n) said as he looked closer and it didn't change "Hmm"
(Y/n) left the door and looked for chara as she wasn't waiting for him like normal. He started running to the guest room and when he opened the door he saw chara, but for some odd reason she looked less pale than usual.
"Hey chara! wake up!" (Y/n) whispered to her. "Wake up!"
Chara was unresponsive. (Y/n) looked at chara her skin looking a bit less pale and a bit more normal. "Yeah (Y/n)?" She asked as she yawned "wait I yawned?"
Chara questioned as she got up and tried to fly but as soon as she started floating she hit the bed unable to stay in the air. "You ok Chara?" (Y/n) asked
"Y-Yea I think that, me feeding off your magic is making me become corporeal" Chara said "Here wait lemme test something"
As chara said that she walked straight into a wall and fell onto the ground "Ow" Chara groaned as she got back up "I guess i'm still not visible to others since your grandfather isn't coming
"(Y/n) are you almost ready?" Joe yelled across the house
"Speak of the devil" Chara said as she got up and shoved (Y/n) out of her room "Come on lets get going"
"Yea! just i'll eat at school today!" (Y/n) said as he grabbed his bag and went for the door
"Hey don't forget you can't do P.E for the next 2 days. Be careful bud" Joe said as he turned to (Y/n) and flashed a smile
"Got it! I'll be safe today!" (Y/n) said
"Yeah, sure you will" Chara remarked sarcastically
"Hey can you blame me for protecting frisk!" (Y/n) said "Plus it's not like I could have done anything else since they targeted frisk"
"Yeah, yeah" Chara said "Just don't overdo yourself, got it?"
"Ehh, if I have to yet again I will" (Y/n) said as he walked by himself not spotting (F/n) anywhere "Wonder where (F/n) is"
"He probably just stopped waiting for you since took so long" Chara said "Ugh, I hate being on the ground floating is so much more fun"
"you're lucky that you could even float!" (Y/n) said jealousy noticeable in his voice
"You could've asked me to carry, you know" Chara said "I may have denied but you still could have asked"
"Yeah, yeah, anyways we're at the highschool you gonna just chill like normal?" (Y/n) asked
"Yeah, why?" Chara asked "Are you concerned that I'll become randomly visible now?"
"Exactly, it could happen so better safe than sorry, no?" (Y/n) said

I am so sorry about the slow updates, finals have been stressful! I just got onto my winter break and started writing yet again! I am gonna try for at least one every week unlike my old schedule this one is more manageable! I am trying to write in my freetime but I just have a hard time focusing but I recently got some new over ear headphones so now I can listen to music!
Anyways I know this is a bit early but Merry Christmas!
