At Olympus
"Its almost dinner time, where could Violette be? "
Hera was pacing back and forth.
"Honey, please don't stress too much, she is with Poseidon, I'm sure nothing will happen to her"
Zeus tried to calm his wife.
Now that, caught her attention,
"Poseidon? She is with that Tyrant?,
What if he scared her and she ran away"
"Rest assured, Poseidon isn't like that, I hope so... But still, Violette can handle herself, she is quite strong and you know that "
The god tried to reason with his wife.
Meanwhile at Poseidon's palace
'When will this end? '
Violette was brooding over the fact that poseidon wasn't letting her go back.
She was internally crying.
Back to Olympus
"Why did you agree to send her to him, hmm? "
"But honey, its what she requested of me, it seems there was some problem regarding a storm on Earth "
Hera glared at her husband,
"Well, your old ass better be telling me the truth "
"I am telling the truth, when have I not? "
Zeus tried to defend himself.
With that said, Hera became more agitated,
"When have you not? Did I hear that right? Zeus... Hmm? "
As things were about to escalate, they heard a knock on the door.
"Zeus, Hera, are you guys in there? "
It was Violette.
Hera ran over with joy and opened the door, she was met with Violette's soft smile.
"Hello Hera, forgive me for not joining you for dinner, Lord Poseidon asked me to join him for dinner "
Both were dumbfounded by what she said,
"Huh! "
"Oh ho ho ho... "
Zeus sneered, knowing what was actually going on with his older brother.
"Poseidon asked you to have dinner with him? "
Hera tried to clarify if she had heard it right.
"Yes, that's what I just said "
"Oh sweetie, come here "
The older woman ushered the younger maiden inside the room.
Sitting on the sofa she turned to Violette,
"I hope you were not frightened by him"
"Oh, no no, infact he was really kind, in some way "
Violette sweat dropped at her non- meaningful answer.
"Kind, you say? That is new on his part, I suppose..... Hmm... "
Zeus sat down on the opposite side.
Violette looked at the chief god waiting for him to finish the sentence, but he waved it off as nothing but a passing thought.
Shrugging her shoulders she turned to Hera,
"Again, I'm sorry for not being able to join for dinner "
"It's okay dear, you were under some predicament and I understand that "
Standing up she headed towards the exit,
"Anyways, time for me to go back home, it was nice seeing you again Hera, have a good night and you too Zeus "
Hera bolted to the young maiden's side,
"Why don't you stay the night with us, its late and I wish for you to stay "
Looking between Hera and Zeus, she noticed their hopeful stare.
"Fine, but I will have to leave early tomorrow "
Hera squealed and embraced the latter,
"Let me take you to your special room"
That sounded suspicious!
Violette thought.
"Did you plan this out from the beginning "
"Yes of course "
Was Hera's immediate answer.
'No hesitation at all '
Violette's POV
After Hera showed me to my room, she immediately ran away, squealing like a teenage girl in love.
I began to ponder about who the thirteen representatives will be from both sides,
"Brunhilde, I wonder who will be your chosen champions, same goes for the gods too"
Sighing, I entered the shower, relaxing under the warm water sprinkling on my skin.
After a quick shower and changing into a nightgown, I laid down,
Staring into the ceiling, wondering when all this would be finally over.
Closing my eyes, I was welcomed by my dreams.
3rd POV
"Do you think Poseidon wants Violette? I mean, he is not someone who would randomly invite a person for dinner, let alone a person he saw only once "
Hera questioned her husband.
The older god merely chuckled,
"It seems Poseidon already has his eyes on our dear Violette.... "
He cackled, his loud voice heard all over Olympus,
Hera was baffled by this revelation, though she had some suspicion, hearing Zeus agree with the statement, made it more surprising.
After all, they were talking about 'Poseidon', an unmerciful god who deems other gods as low filthy beings.
"... Hades should make his move then"
"What? "
Hera was now really stunned.
"Hades too? well... I don't mind him, he is a gentleman and will make a good lover for Violette "
Hera consoled herself in her mind.
"Well, Hades is an expressive god, so I bet Violette will love him "
Hera looked at her husband.
Zeus merely stroked his beard, lifting an eyebrow,
"Oh? Is my wife taking Hades' side? "
"No, I'm just saying Poseidon is a very unsociable god whereas Hades is the opposite, and Hades is more softer no? But both will look good with her, don't you agree? "
Her husband only snickered,
"Of course they look good with her, she is beautiful after all, she is considered the most beautiful goddess among all the pantheons "
"Yes, she is very beautiful and your older brothers are no less too, I wish we adopted her or maybe if she were my daughter, it would be even better "
Hera dreamily sighed.
Zeus howled with excitement,
His voice echoing in the night.
" A battle of the rulers vying for the maiden's hand"
(I just wrote rulers coz in the 7th round it is called a battle of the kings or something)
Luckily for him, Violette was dead asleep after her tiring day.
Helheim
Hades was seated on his throne , Beelzebub (The god of darkness /the lord of the flies) , was seated next to him, both equally engrossed in a game of chess.
Hades smirked, hearing quite well what Zeus had yelled out in excitement,
Making a move he trapped his opponent's king, ending in a Checkmate.
Picking up the queen piece, he observed it, placing it down near his king.
