"Orla is coming to this party, and that is final" Neytiri walks past her son, into her kitchen.

"You too mother? Really?" Neteyam asks.

"Tey" Aneysa then walks past him, to give Neytiri a helping hand, "no one sees the issue, but you. And maybe a bit of your father."

"But he has no choice" Neytiri smiles to which has Aneysa chuckle.

"He knows that there will be other ratty, teenage boys here?" Neteyam asks, "Tuk should not even be there either!"

"Is she your child or mine?" Neytiri asks, "this is not up for discussion, the party is happening, end of."

"Your are worrying far too much" Aneysa comforts him, "she will be fine. If there's one thing I know, she will not be swayed by any of these useless boys."

"You don't know what teenage boys are like" Neteyam sighs.

"Why? You were that flirtatious teenage boy once in your life?" Aneysa suddenly stops what she's doing, as he turns to look at him.

"Thats not my point" he looks at her nervously.

"No no, let's make it our point" she places her hand above her hip, as she leans the opposite side against the kitchen drawer.

"She should not have to be left out of things, just because teenage boys, who were like you, choose to be immature and wild. She's young, let her live her life" Aneysa sighs.

"You're my wife. You're meant to take my side" he leans in closer to her, as he mutters, not wanting his mother, or anyone for that matter, to hear.

"I will always take your side. Just not when you're being unfair" she kisses his cheek and turns back around, to continue helping out Neytiri.

"I appreciate that you've come to help" Neytiri thanks her.

"It's no big deal, I love helping out for parties. Orla's been quite excited. Honestly, she's excited about the food more than anything" Aneysa shrugs.

"She likes my cooking?" Neytiri asks, slightly giddy.

"Of course. Knowing that you are making it rather than it being take out just makes her more excited" Aneysa chuckles.

"Speaking of which, where is Orla? And Tuk?" Neteyam asks.

"Out. Shopping" Aneysa responds, "I gave her my credit card. Of course, with a limit."

"And who else is with them?" Neteyam asks.

"Friends" Aneysa shrugs in response, to which now had Neteyam worry.

"Tey, stop worrying so much" Aneysa walks towards him once again, "the more you worry the more you stress me out."

"I'm sorry" he apologises, "I didn't mean to stress you out."

"They will be fine. I promise" Aneysa assures him.

-

"I am not getting a bikini!" Orla shouts, "have you met Neteyam?"

She looks to Tiana, who had already picked two out for her.

"Who cares! Tuk is buying one too!" Tiana pouts, "we can all match together."

"I have no boobs. I'd look weird" Orla sighs, "I'm just buying a dress."

"Aneysa gave you her credit card, and no doubt that woman is rich. And all your buying is a dress? That's twenty five dollars. Even though she said your budget is two hundred and fifty dollars?" Tiana asks, "girl you have to step it up."

"Oh gosh, fine. I'll get the bikini" Orla easily gives up, knowing Tiana would not let it go, and neither would Tuk."

"Where's Tuk?" Orla then asks, looking around.

"She's with Ethan" Tiana smiles.

...

"This would look nice on you" Ethan holds out a divers costume.

"You can't be serious" Tuk chuckles, as she moves it away.

"What? It's great. You'll be covered, and no one will look at you. Your brother would appreciate this for both you, and Orla" Ethan responds.

"Well this has nothing to do with him" Tuk continues to look around, "this is my party and I will do it as I please."

"With daddy's credit card?" Ethan asks.

To which she pulls it out her purse, a proud smile on her face, "of course. All he told me to do was go nuts."

The two of them laugh together, understanding each others humour.

"Do you think Evan will turn up?" Ethan asks.

"I hope so" Tuk gives a sad smile, "I keep telling him to just.. tell someone. But he doesn't wish to."

"I know but, we don't know what it's like for him to force him to do anything. He will do it when the time is right" Ethan shrugs.

"I suppose" Tuk sighs, "I just genuinely feel bad having to see him every day, with a new cut or bruise."

"It is certainly not nice, no" Ethan shook his head.

...

Tiana and Orla continue walking around the mall, the two of them holding onto ice cream cones in one hand, and shopping bags in the other.

"Oh look, there's Evan!" Tiana points out, giving him a wave.

Orla looks straight ahead when she notices him, her smile not so wide, when she notices the lady beside him.

"Orla!" She calls out.

"Do you know her?" Tiana asks.

To which, Orla looked at her with a pitiful look, disregarding the woman who birthed her, "no. I do not know her."

She turns around to walk away, still hearing her name being called by her mother.

Evan then hurried towards her, "Orla what's wrong? Is everything alright."

"Everything is fine" she nods.

"Do you know who she is? She's been calling out your name" Ethan asks.

"That's what she does when she's high, after taking god knows, what kind of drugs" Orla mutters.

To his understanding on her mother, Evan looks towards the lady, and back towards Orla, "she's your mother?"

"I have no mother. She's dead to me" Orla turns away once again, as she walks off.

"Perhaps we should.. help you out" Tiana looks at Orla's mother confused, before turning around to Evan, mouthing him to help.

He walks back towards her, slightly pulling Tiana away, rather gently than roughly, before he looks to Orla's mother, "you should return home."

"Where did she go?" Her mother asks.

"She's gone. She's not coming back" Evan gives a polite smile, before walking away with Tiana.

-

"Lo'reya, put that down!" Lo'ak tells her off, as she was holding up Tsireya's heel.

"No!" Lo'reya shook her head, as she continued testing Lo'aks' patience.

"I'll count to five. If you do not put it back, I will put you in time out" he warns her.

"No! No! No!" She shouts.

"That's enough!" Lo'ak finally had enough, when he took the heel out her hand, and held her up, "what has gotten into you?"

She begins to wriggle herself, to get out of Lo'aks' arms and back onto the floor, which only then makes Lo'ak hold her up, over his shoulder.

He walks towards the step, where he usually puts Lo'reya on when she misbehaves, which not only made her scream and cry, but she began kicking her legs, her feet hitting against his shoulder.

"Right" Lo'ak sighs, sitting her down, "do you want me to call the dragon?"

It was the only threat he was able to use against her, as she seemed horrified by dragons for absolutely no reason.

Lo'reya shook her head, as she began crying quietly, her tears falling out, as she looked at Lo'ak with a pouty face.

"Don't look at me like that" Lo'ak tried his best to resist, "you have been throwing tantrums all day. What is wrong?"

Lo'reya continued to cry, her hands wiping her constant tears.

"Lo'reya. What is wrong?" He then asks her calmly.

"I 'ant mommy" she sniffles.

"Mommy is unwell. She's asleep" Lo'ak responds.

"Mm- Mommy" she sobs again.

"Alright alright" Lo'ak holds onto her, as he comforts  her.

His only thought being, was to get advice from his mother, considering she was an expert with children who missed their mothers dearly.

-

"Orla" Evan holds her back, as the other three walk ahead, making their way to eat.

"Please, I do not want to talk about it" Orla sighs.

"But why? You can't hide your feelings from it all. It will only make matters worse" Evan responds.

"You want to know how I truly feel?" Tiana asks.

To which Evan nods.

"She is never going to change. And neither will I on this matter. Whether it were to be a speck of redemption found in her, nothing will change" Orla shook her head.

"But how will you know the whole story unless you speak to her?" Evan asks, "I'm not saying you are wrong, but-"

"I don't want to know the whole story" she looked at him disappointed, "I don't want to know anymore excuses or lies, or anything that tells me other than the way that I know it went down. She bought me all the way here, yet never thought to change at least once, but claims I'm her daughter? She chose a man who was just as bad for her, let me behind and started a new life, and went out of her way to forget about me."

"Orla.." Evan realises his mistake on his questioning when he walks forward, looking at her in concern.

"She tossed me aside, without any concern of what would happen to me. She left me on a doorstep of someone who I didn't even know, in the middle of a cold night. I was tired. I was hungry. But she didn't care. Because truthfully, I was never really her daughter. She only wanted custody for the money. Not me."
