My morning began quite nicely - I woke up, with a small ray of light dashing into the room through the window. The whole room seemed to be lit up by just that single window and the sun.
It definitely was much more different than waking up in the morning, only to find a bunch of wet grass under me.
After getting up from the bed, I looked around.
It took me a good few seconds to remember where I exactly was.
'Oh yeah... I'm at an inn..'
I thought before yawning.
I proceeded to fully get out of the bed, before grabbing my clothes and quickly getting dressed. Even through this clothing was made using my skill [Black Magic], it still had all the limitations of regular clothing.
It was basically like I took normal clothes and enchanted them or something.
'Feels kinda weird waking up in an actual bed for once..'
I thought before yawning again.
I'll skip through all the rather boring morning stuff - since it isn't very important right now.
After I picked up my room keys and approached the door of my room, I noticed something strange.
The small 'seal' I placed on the door using
[Black Magic] was disturbed a little...
Looks like either someone was trying to break in last night ooor the janitor had one hell of a time trying to get in to get laundry.
However, I was willing to bet it was the first option, rather than the latter.
'Well... Looks like it was smart to put this seal that prevented anyone but me from entering or leaving..'
I thought before lifting the seal and exiting the room, locking it behind myself.
I proceeded to head downstairs, hand the key to the registration, go sit down and have some breakfast - which I should mention tasted incredible.
Once again, eating food that was actually prepared and what not, was a luxury I didn't know I should appreciate.
And so, with all the morning stuff over, I head back out towards the Adventuring Guild.

The town was as busy as yesterday - people and other humanoid species were just wandering all over the place, going on with their days. It was certainly a weird, yet refreshing sight.
Who would have thought that being away from stuff like this for over a month would effect me so greatly?
I just can't wrap my head around it.
I wandered the town for a bit before eventually reaching the Adventuring Guild. Upon entering, I was met with a rather empty building - not many other adventurers were here at the moment.
'Well.. I didn't expect much activity here in the morning..'
I thought before sighing and walking over to the same Lizardman Receptionist as yesterday.
"Good morning."
I greeted him.
The lizardman receptionist lifted his head before placing his quill down into the ink vile.
[Lizardman Receptionist] "Ah Mr. Shin. Good to see you so energetic in the morning."
He replied before smiling lightly.
Energetic? Was I energetic? I honestly couldn't tell.
Oh wait - he might be noticing the effects of my high stamina stat..
I completely forgot that I don't really feel exhaustion due to ridiculous amount of stamina... Right.
"I guess so..ha.."
I replied before rubbing the back of my head.
"Any quests for me?"
[Lizardman Receptionist] "There should be some you can accept on the Quest Board."
He pointed towards it.
"Thanks."
I quickly made my way over to the quest board before beginning to look through all the available quests.
There even were quite a few ones that I could accept at D rank, quite a few even one rank higher at E.
As I scoped through the available quests, a sudden sound of commotion behind me caught my attention.
[?] "Do you have any idea who you're talking to?!"
I turned to face the commotion. It seemed like one of the female receptionists was speaking with what looked like a party of adventurers.
And experienced ones at that - I mean, their equipment was no joke.
[Female Receptionist] "I'm very sorry sir.."
[?] "You better be! You better watch your moves, making an enemy out of me is the last thing you want!"
What's this about anyway?
I mean, it's pretty obvious the dude that's yelling at the poor receptionist is an asshole.
'Sages' Wisdom, can you give me a status on him?'
Understood.
Performing a stat analysis...
And a moment later, I got the dudes stat window.

The man spat at the female receptionist before turning around and leaving the guild building with his party.
What did I just witness...
Analysis suggests that the man may be a member or leader of a high ranking adventurer party.
Well, duh - he was ranked B... Although, does the rank mean something else for humans?
For a monster like me, I assumed that it meant how dangerous I am or something...

For humans, their Rank refers to their strength.
I see.. so despite being an obvious jerk, he is quite strong? Well, strong by normal standards - compared to me, he was a basically a speck of irrelevant dust.
I sighed before walking over to the female receptionist that had been yelled at by the man. She seemed quite scared, however luckily the other receptionists were trying to comfort her.
I walked over to the Lizardman Receptionist I was used to.
"Hey - what's the deal with Sir Jerk and gang that just left?"
He looked at me before sighing.
[Lizardman Receptionist] "That was Halad, a B rank adventurer. He also happens to be the son of a baron that lives in a manor not far from the town."
The receptionist explained before crossing his arms and looking down.
"Let me guess - for that reason he thinks he can do whatever he wants and you can't really do anything against him, unless you want to be on the bad side of the baron."
The lizardman receptionist simply nodded in agreement.
I let out a small sigh.
Welp - there it is. Yet another, classic isekai troupe. A piece of shit nobles son, who thinks he is all powerful and super important... Just what I needed.
[Lizardman Receptionist] "The Guildmaster has tried to report him to his father, however the baron doesn't seem to care about any of his sons actions."
Really?
Well, ain't that just a failure of a father.
I sighed before looking up at the ceiling.
'I guess it'll be a good idea to avoid that guy..'
I thought before exhaling.
The lizardman receptionist shook his head lightly before clearing his throat.
[Lizardman Receptionist] "That aside, did you figure out which quest to take?"
He asked before turning to face me.
Oh right... I was supposed to pick a quest to do. Thinking back to the quests I saw available, I suppose the hunting quest for 6 King Arachnid Knights. (And no, they're not knights - they're spiders. Massive spiders.)
"I'll take the King Arachnid Knight quest."
[Lizardman Receptionist] "Very well. I'll write it down for you. All you need to do is bring back their fangs."
The lizardman receptionist replied before smiling. I nodded before turning around and rushing out of the building.

Quite a while passed until I eventually successfully hunted down and killed all 6 of those spider knight things.
This time around, I had remained in my 'human' form during the whole thing, mainly due to the fact that the area where they were most commonly found was extremely close to the town.
And I was not risking my identity as a snake to be exposed for a couple of stupidly oversized spiders.
Collecting up the fangs, I placed them inside my small bag, before looking around.
'Devourer bonus time.'
I thought before closing my eyes. The devourer aura engulfed all 6 spider corpses before bringing their magical energy to me.
Experience threshold has been reached.

Well, that's nice.
I guess I can check how much my stats increased from 1 level now.

I stood still for a couple of seconds, simply waiting to see if anymore moves would be made.

Alright, that tells me all I need to know - whoever is near, is out for blood.

And like clockwork, I was almost instantly surrounded by a large group of men and women. Some of them looked like the party members I saw with that jerk noble back at the Adventuring Guild.
Once again, like clockwork - the same Jerk Noble came out into the field, smirking widely as he stared at me.
[Halad] "Well, well, well - look what the spider has managed to catch in its web."
He stated, before laughing maniacally.
Looks like I'm already getting myself into conflict with humans... How great. What other classic isekai troupes am I going to face?
