DEAR SHARKY,
you know i only ever write when i'm falling apart or falling in love.
and well you can just imagine which one i am.
i'm writing this from my room room, you know the one i haven't left for two days.
i needed some alone time after our fight— well can you call it a fight? i don't know..
i hope im crossing your mind this past weekend, just so that i don't feel pathetic for thinking of you every second of these two days.
but i'm writing this to just say im coming back, not to anything but to my old self, and i hope when i'm back everything that changed our friendship is back into place.
our friendship to me feels more important than my stupid feelings.
but if you think ill forget them, i never will i promise.
i never forget, i've engraved your name on the palms of my hands.
well not literally but metaphorically.
i find it difficult, to walk away from something that's the peak of your existence.
you, i mean.
you, sharky are the peak of my whole existence.
sometimes when i'm upset i think about how we sang along to ophelia by the lumineere in my car when we were 17.
the rain was hitting the windows so harshly but the music drowned all that out, we brought snacks and it was right after connor broke up with me.
i think that was the happiest day of my life.
i've never felt so much in such a small amount of time.
the only thing that stayed in my mind was the music and your eyes.
you looked like a work of art, i always found it cheesy when people said that about people but suddenly it wasn't so cheesy after all.
i remember how you sang that one part that said "honey i love you." and how you looked right at me with a cocky smile on your face and i thought i melted.
i miss you and i miss us.
you are literally in my blood. i can't help it. we can't be anywhere except together.
if you wanna stay best friends and nothing more as much as it hurts me i don't care.
okay and i do admit it, i think i like you a little too much, i'm afraid to use the stronger word.
and some people spend their whole lives trying to search for my feelings for you, but i was lucky.
i always had you in front of me, i always had you screaming at me to love you but i was deaf and i was blind.
and i hope you can forgive me.
but don't you think it's kind of funny???
little miss is obsessed with love but doesn't believe it'll happen to her.

michelle howard crumbles up the piece of paper with a groan and throws it across the room into her bin.
she wasn't actually gonna give it to him, she'd be out of her mind if that was the case.
but it wasn't.
i mean everything was true, down to the not leaving her room for days to the im in love part.
it was obvious honestly.
and it was painful.
"mikey!" niko comes walking into her room.
she gasped loudly holding onto her chest at the fright.
"what?"
"get up We're going to this new karaoke bar down the street," he informed her throwing a pillow at her.
she scoffed loudly.
"no, i'm not coming." the girl concludes getting up and opening her window.
"and do what? watch love actually five hundred more times?" he points to her TV that was playing the movie in the background.
she couldn't help but groan at him, why does it matter so much if she comes or not?
suddenly the boy had grabbed the remote and turned off the tv.
"hey!" she protested loudly.
"get up michelle, we leave in ten minutes." it was the first time she's heard him speak like this, like a dad.
she couldn't help but feel belittled like she was his daughter.
"sir yes sir." she mocks underneath her breath.
once he left she groaned loudly, reaching for her closet and snatching a white cropped tank top with cartoons of cherries and low-rise baggy jeans.
sitting down on her desk and putting on makeup she didn't want to put on.
after she was done getting ready the girl had to stand outside her door for a solid five minutes, preparing herself to see sharky.
what should she do?
should she say something?
should she just smile at him?
or should she pretend he doesn't exist?
well, it was too late to choose because the girl was sprinting down the stairs as she tried to put on her converse.
"i'm here." she huffs reaching the boys who stood impatiently waiting.
"right i'm sorry really," she says looking at the floor.
looking up to see sharky doing the same act.
both looked like they didn't know each other.
once the group had gotten to the bar it was filled to the brim.
this is why mikey loves london, it's always crowded and as much as she gets anxiety she likes knowing that everyone is enjoying and having fun.
well everyone except mikey howard.
because she sat and watched as people went up onto the karaoke stage singing songs with horrible voices.
"i hate when good singers sing karaoke, it should be a crime." mikey adds while her and her friends munched on some fries.
her eyes looking to sharky to see if he heard, to see if he smiled or laughed a little.
all that she saw was his small grin rising to his face and that was enough for mikey.
"that's why you'd never catch me doing this." she proudly stated with a cheeky smile.
"oh piss off mikey." chunkz shoved her shoulder.
later on, they decided to order more food, kenny sipping his beer while the rest drank some soda.
the group was chatting away when aj came walking back.
"where were you?" sharky questions.
"oh you know.. just the loo." he giggles like a girl under his breath.
sharkys brows furrowed at the suspension growing in his head.
what was this rat up to?
mikey smiles as she reads the screen and the lyrics of the stage.
it was so nice seeing people be people.
"i wish they play a throwback like call me maybe or your so vain or oh my god maybe ophe-"
"next up ophelia, going to be sung by mikey and sharky."
she froze.
he froze.
they both froze.
the fuck?
what was this?
"what does that mean?" mikey gulps looking at her friends who were just as confused.
"you heard the man, go!" aj squeals to them while saying.
"you did this!" sharky points in shame.
"i may have slipped and written your names on the list but that's not the point." aj yaps loudly.
mikey felt her whole body get hot and her eyes became fully dry.
she couldn't do this, sure she was an actress but these things are different.
and singing ophelia WITH SHARKY?
that's a death wish.
sharkys eyes grew wide and he felt everything go quiet.
this wasn't how he imagined his friday night to go.
singing ophelia with mikey howard will snatch him back to high school and back to her.
this wasn't okay.
"mikey and sharky? are you there?" the man on stage laughs as so did everyone.
"come on!" kenny, niko, chunkz, and aj scream while shoving each of them.
the two get pushed harshly as they walk up onto the stage.
both gulping down strongly.
not even daring to look at each other.
this was something she would see in movies and feel pity for the embarrassment-filled characters.
now she was one of them.
"oh there they are!" the man yells happily.
the two stand and get handed each a cheap-looking microphone.
the music in the beginning began playing and mikey felt herself get even more scared.
"ah-ah- when i was younger." sharky starts making her carry with him.
their voices just as bad as the rest of the people who went first.
"i-i- should've known better." mikey smiles softly seeing chunkz, niko, kenny and aj giggle to themselves.
"and i can't feel no remorse." his voice cracked making mikey laugh into the mic, and then with it, he snapped his head to her.
it felt like it was in slow motion.
her hair shining under the stage light and her red long nails holding the microphone, her perfect side profile, and her smile.
"oh ophelia, you've been on my mind girl, like a drug."
both their voices harmonizing horribly but everyone was enjoying.
"oh ophelia you've been on my mind girl like a drug!"
sharky points to mikey cheekily.
and she thought she was dreaming.
the blush creeping deeply into her face.
the group of boys all laughed and clapped while they sang and kenny even turned on his flashlight waving it around.
"honey i love you!" sharky screech's into the microphone.
michelle howard felt like a fan meeting her big-time celebrity.
he stared at her with a cheesy smile.
that one sentence made her almost drop, it sounded just like high school sharky.
that same goddamn look he gave her years ago was still the same, it felt like she was back in that car, back in that day, back in that era.
once the song ended the two ran off the stage mostly because of the embarrassment but because of the fact that people found out where they were and fans were crowding everywhere.
"now look at our taylor swift and kendrick lamar!" aj screams jumping up to them.
"that was actually amazing!" chunkz laughed at them.
"yeah, it was." mikey giggles breathlessly turning to see sharky only to catch him already staring.
"well i hate to break this up but we need to leave." niko yells over the people crowding them.
mikey grabs her coat and follows her friends, squeezing through them and apologizing to the ones she couldn't get photos with.
walking out of the bar but people were still following them.
"hey mikey." a boy their age runs up past the people to the blonde.
"oh hello." she smiles kindly.
"would you mind going with me to nandos on sunday?"
sharkys head whipped to them and their conversation as they stopped in the circle of fans each person taking photos and talking to the fans.
she almost laughed, thinking he was joking but he wasn't.
"oh, im flattered really but i uh i don't date people i don't know," she exclaims to him with an apologetic look.
once another fan put their phone in her face she thought it was over.
but in a small second, she felt someone grab onto her ass making her let out a low scream.
"what the fuck?!" she yells to the same boy.
"bro!" she hears someone yell.
it was sharky.
he had shoved the boy back making him stumble.
but he had gotten right back and in a spur of a second, he laid a proper punch onto sharkys face making the boy turn his head to the side.
the crowd had now widened making space for them, chunkz, niko, aj, and kenny not even stopping sharky because they wanted to see him get punched.
mikey going to grab the boy's wrist seeing as his chest heaved up in down with anger,
but sharky just gently shook it off and then used that same arm to move mikey to kenny and nikos hold.
she yells something but he couldn't hear it, his ears filled with the noise of the boy's voice asking mikey out and her decline.
it looked like the punch had hurt badly and everyone had flinched when it happened, but everyone except for sharky.
he didn't show the pain, his eyes now to the pervert and his hand rubbing his jaw while his tongue rolled in his mouth.
nothing happened for a second as people got their phones out making chunkz and niko yell at them not to.
every person's eyes being dragged away when unsurprisingly sharky had smashed his fist into the man's face.
making the sound echo through the streets of london.
everyone gasped and let out yells.
"guys stop him." mikey pleads watching sharkys own wound begin to bleed.
they just bat an eye at her, staring at the fight.
the man had lay on the ground, but sharky kept punching him like he was fighting back.
mikey snatched his arm away by his elbow while letting out a loud heave.
her eyes filled with tears at the sight and the cold weather making her nose runny.
"stop it sharks!" she breaks him from his train of thought.
she saw the look in his eyes and she knew he wasn't really himself, he got blinded by the fire.
"are you alright?" her cold hands grabbing his face and examining it.
the evident bruise forming into his cheek and the blood staining in his mouth.
"what were you thinking?" mikey whispers to him sadly.
he shrugged softly with a grunt.
"i wasn't."
she didn't see regret in his eyes, she saw that he wanted to do it again, all over some silly interaction.
her arms wrapped around his waist for comfort and she felt the boy's whole body release every nerve built up in him.
his arms around her shoulders as everyone paid no attention to them instead just watching the other boy get up and begin his flee.
both their hearts beating against each other.
they hear their friends talk to all the fans about the whole situation and how they shouldn't post online.
but none of mikey nor sharky seemed to care.
"thank you, but also fuck you." she laughed into his chest making him chuckle.
"please don't thank me," he whispers to her sadly.
she felt him shake in her arms and that was when she felt a tear on her shoulder.
mikey didn't dare to look at him or dare let go of his soft and beautiful warm body.
"i didn't do anything." sharky says into her hair.
"what're you talking about." she laughs in disbelief and her giggle vibrates throughout his whole body.
"i'll kill him next time," he told the girl making her chuckle.
but he wasn't laughing.
