Natsu appeared to see Kaeli as a child. No not Kaeli. Luminous. He looked at her and saw the grave of her mother. She was young and he could feel the pain she went through. He lost his father. Not his biological one, but his adopted one. Igneel. The Dragon.
Suddenly, everything went white and he faded into another memory. He watched as he saw her going down a hall and past pillars to her brother. The male was clearly not kind at all. His eyes showed that he was not interested in anything she did.
Her brother tore the robe she made by herself in pieces, then threw it on the ground at her feet. He clenched his fists and they lit up on fire. He calmed himself remembering he could not interfere. He was tasked with bringing her back, and was going to do just that. He had to bring her back whole, not shattered

Luminous was now fifteen and anyone could tell she was sprouting. Her chest had grown and she was taller. Her hair was now a little past her shoulder. Instead of it being straight, it was curled and had small braids pulled behind her head and tied up.
She was walking down the hall and stopped when she heard her name in conversation with her sister, Aoife and her brother Brier. They were conversating about her training and how she has gotten stronger. She would not believe what she was about to hear though. The thing they had been doing to her for years since their mother's passing. The thing they were doing to keep her from putting them out of power.
Aoife started laughing and covered her mouth in a gesture to try and keep herself quiet down. "She has no idea that we been slowly poisoning her. Once she is dead, then she will not be able to stop us and save humans."
Brier looked at Aoife and his voice grew stern. "Quiet before she comes running to see what you are laughing about. If we give her just one more. A stronger dose, she should be done for."
Luminous couldn't believe it. Well, she could, but did not want to. She wanted to believe her siblings had some love for her in their hearts, but she had to face the truth. It was never going to happen. They were not capable of showing love for her because she was not showing the same interest as they were. She wanted to save humans. They wanted to kill them. She wanted demons gone. They wanted demons to rule Earth land. Their goals were completely different. She valued life. Her siblings did not.
She now understood the reason she was always feeling so weak after every demon she got rid of, and every person she saved. She understood why it almost killed her and kept getting worse. They were giving her medicine infused with darkness. The very thing that poisons her. Kaeli could not stop the tears flowing from her eyes as she made herself disappear in a flash of light.
She sat in her room on her hay bed and heard a knock on the door. She turned to the door and saw her sister enter the room. She had a small cup with grey powder in it and held her hand out, giving it to her. Kaeli faked a smile and took the powder putting it in her mouth but not swallowing it, as she waved her sister off. Her sister never exchanged any words with her ever. On rare occasions did she ever do so. Those were on her birthdays and holidays.
She waited until she heard the door close and spit the powder out of her mouth. She was done taking medicine they gave and had a plan to make herself appear dead. She used her magic to make her appearance pale and lifeless. She was the goddess of light and life. She had the ability to do so.
There she lay in bed waiting for them to appear a few hours later and dispose of her body in the woods. There animals would feed on her and she would be gone. So they thought anyway. She had her plan to get up and train. Train until she was stronger than all of them.

Luminous looked different and fierce. Her hair was longer and tied up in a ponytail. Braids were up and weaved into it. Her eyes showed a fire that was lit and ready to consume everything in its path. She held a staff that was two branches twisted together with a purple gem on the top, holding it in place.
Her staff had half of her power hidden inside it, concealed with a spell that made it undetectable to others. If she lost most of her magic, then this was going to give her what she needed in emergencies. She only held a third of her power in her body right now. Even with this much power inside of her, she could destroy a nation. With all of her power, a continent. She was the strongest amongst her siblings. She understood why they wanted her gone, it was mostly fear of how strong she was and that she would overpower them and become the top goddess. The supreme deity like their mother.
She looked up at a mountain, closing her eyes, she felt the sun, the light, and the heat of it. She focused that power from the sun and turned it into a giant ray of light that shown down on the mountain and obliterated it to pieces. All that remained was a giant crater.
"It's time.. it's time to put them down." She spoke to herself and sighed. She just hoped that they had good in their hearts. She believed that they did. They had to. They couldn't just be nothing but darkness. Right?

Natsu continued to watch the memories before him and his face twisting in pity, and empathy of the things she had gone through. No one in the guild had any idea of her pain and life before she was reborn as Kaeli.
She never told anyone. Not one soul.
She told Natsu and Grey of her job, but not her pain. They never once saw her lose her cool. Never once saw her show any sort of anger. She was always 'perfect', but it was just a mask she had to wear. A mask she wore in order to conceal all the darkness that was inside of her.
She only let herself get close enough to be happy with what she had. She was not truly happy without letting herself fall. She had to fall in order to become truly happy. She had to let herself go of the pain she had been through. Embrace it and know she had people there for her.
All these years she suffered alone. She never opened up to anyone. Not even her closest friends. The one person she did open up to, betrayed her and went after her life. He was a member of Chaos. The guild that was after her life. She fell for it twice. She could not fully trust with secrets.
What Natsu saw next was not what he expected and was starting to worry about her.

Luminous stood all bruised, scraped, and clothes torn. She had a deep wound on her head that caused a stream of blood to flow down the left side of her face. She was fighting to stay standing as she held her staff for balance. She took a breath and smiled as she saw the sunrise.
She used the first light of the sun to heal her wounds and gather more power. The sun was her power. She could use it with ease. Luminous stood up straight, holding her arm above her head and hand flat.
With the sun rays going to her palm and swirling around to create a giant orb of power. Her eyes shown nothing but light as she let the sphere grow larger. So large, it was soon too heavy for her to hold together. She let it go forth at her siblings. Her power created a giant crater at the ground.
She watched as it consumed everything in them and they were soon all white, fading away to nothing, cracking into pieces and then turned to ash. She stood still with tears in her eyes.
She could not believe what had happened. She believed that there had been at least a tiny bit of light in their souls. If there had been even the smallest speck, then they would have been purified. She did not want this. Did not want death. She had the job of life. To her that meant keeping souls alive and purifying them. She wanted to purify them, but she did the very opposite.
She had killed them. She killed her siblings. Her family.
She felt her legs give out, and fell to the ground. She did not deserve to live after all this. Why had she been the only one to remain? Why was she chosen to be the only to have a pure soul? Why her? Why her siblings?
She still cared for them despite everything they had done. They were her family. She loved them no matter what they did. She had her mother's heart. She felt cursed. Cursed to feel this much. Cursed by how much she cared and loved. Felt she had a cursed soul. She did not want it, not if it meant taking lives instead of saving them.
She just held herself and cried.

Natsu looked at her as she was fighting and stopping her siblings. He saw the tremendous amount of power that she held in her hand and actually was quite scared. He had no idea she held that much magic deep inside her. His mind automatically went to 'I have to surpass her.' he now had another new goal. Fight and beat Kaeli.
His thoughts were halted when he saw how her siblings were halted and frozen. They turned white and cracks went up their arms legs, and their bodies faded to ash. He looked at the distraught Luminous and saw her weeping on the ground. With her clothes so torn, they looked like they would fall off any minute.
Natsu waited for this memory to end, and it faded away. However, Natsu had not. He had stayed put and the memory replayed once more. Natsu was confused about this. He then thought for a moment and realized. There were no more memories appearing. This one was replaying. He found her. he just had to bring her back.
