(Yeon's POV)

The days continued in their chaotic rhythm, each one a variation of the last.

My role as Hyejin's guardian became more ingrained, and the subtle tension with Taehyung lingered in the background like a storm waiting to unleash.

Hyejin remained the epitome of grace, seemingly untouched by the brewing storm around her. As her bodyguard, I continued to walk the fine line between professionalism and the unspoken intrigue that had developed. Subtle soft gestures became second nature—adjusting her chair, ensuring her comfort during long shoots, and offering a reassuring presence in the midst of chaos.

One evening, after a particularly demanding rehearsal, I found her slumped against the wall, looking exhausted.

Without a word, I extended my hand, offering support. She glanced at me, a fleeting vulnerability in her eyes before she accepted the silent offer.

"Long day," she mumbled, a tired but appreciative smile on her lips.

"Take a break when you can, Hyejin," I advised, my tone gentle. "You've earned it."

Her gratitude lingered, but it was fleeting. As she moved on to her next commitment, I couldn't help but feel a pang of disappointment, knowing that she saw me merely as a part of her professional routine.

The tension with Taehyung continued to escalate, and I couldn't resist the subtle moments of defiance—maintaining eye contact a fraction longer, standing a bit closer than necessary. Each gesture, a quiet challenge to the possessive force that loomed in the background.

One day, as Hyejin and I stood in the crowded lobby of a music show venue, I received a text from Taehyung. "Keep your distance," it read, the warning clear.

I pocketed my phone, the corner of my lips curling into a smirk. The possessiveness in Taehyung's messages only fueled my determination.

Hyejin, however, remained oblivious to the silent war being waged in her periphery.

(Hyejin's POV)

The tension with Yeon and Taehyung lingered in the air, creating an atmosphere that felt suffocating.

It was a relief when the day finally came to an end, and I found myself yearning for a break from the chaos.

"Hana, let's get out of here," I suggested to my best friend and makeup artist as we wrapped up another long day. "I need a breather."

Hana grinned, always up for an adventure. "You read my mind, Hyejin. How about some Kbbq and somaek? Just the two of us?"

I nodded, grateful for the opportunity to escape the prying eyes and unspoken rivalries.

We headed to a local spot known for its delicious barbecue and vibrant atmosphere. The night air was a welcomed change from the artificial lights of the studio.

As we settled into a cozy corner, the scent of grilling meat wafting through the air, we immersed ourselves in the simple pleasure of good food and better company. Laughter came easy, and for a moment, I could forget about the pressures of being in this industry.

Unbeknownst to us, a few familiar faces were also in the same establishment. Jungkook along with Mingyu and Eun Woo, members of other prominent K-pop groups, were enjoying their own evening out.

Jungkook, always the observant one, spotted us first. His eyes widened in recognition, and he nudged Mingyu with a playful smirk. "Look who's here."

Mingyu, a tall and charming member of SEVENTEEN, followed Jungkook's gaze and caught sight of me. A subtle smile played on his lips as he turned to Jungkook. "Well, well. What do we have here?"

Jungkook chuckled, "Remember, Mingyu, she's off-limits. Taehyung's girl."

Mingyu's playful demeanor faltered slightly, a twinge of disappointment in his eyes. But before he could dwell on it, Jungkook clapped him on the shoulder. "Come on, let's go say hi. Just keep it friendly."

As they approached, Hana and I exchanged glances, recognizing the members of the other idol groups. It was a small world, and chance encounters like these weren't uncommon.

"Hey, Hyejin!" Jungkook greeted with a friendly wave.

"Jungkook!" I smiled, genuinely happy to see a familiar face. "What brings you guys here?"

"Just a night out," he replied, gesturing to Mingyu and Eun Woo. "Mind if we join you?"

Hana grinned, always eager to socialize. "Of course not!"

As we shared stories and laughter, Mingyu couldn't help but be drawn to the conversation. He engaged with me, genuine interest in his eyes. We talked about music, performances, and the industry—the topics that bound us all together.

Jungkook, ever the playful one, teased Mingyu when he noticed the slight attraction. "Careful there, Mingyu. I can already imagine the headlines."

Mingyu blushed, playfully shoving Jungkook. "Come on, it's nothing like that."

Jungkook chuckled, "Just joking, man. But imagine if Taehyung found out."

A playful warning flashed in Mingyu's eyes. "Don't you dare tell him."

Jungkook raised his hands in mock surrender. "My lips are sealed. But hey, you never know when the paparazzi might catch wind of it."

We all laughed, the camaraderie between us easing the tensions of the past few days. It felt refreshing to be surrounded by friends who understood the unique challenges of our industry.

As the night progressed, we shared more than just food and drinks; we shared stories, dreams, and the unspoken bond that connected us as fellow idols. It was a reminder that, despite the rivalries and pressures, we were all navigating the same unpredictable journey.

As we parted ways, promises of future meet-ups exchanged, I couldn't help but feel a sense of gratitude for the unexpected reprieve from the drama. The night had been a reminder that, in the midst of the chaos, genuine connections could still blossom.

The days that followed our chance encounter at the Kbbq place were surprisingly uneventful.

The tension with Yeon seemed to simmer down, and Taehyung, to my relief, didn't make a fuss about my night out.

As the demands of my schedule intensified, so did the toll on my energy.

One evening, after a grueling day of back-to-back commitments, I found myself slumped in my dressing room chair. The exhaustion weighed heavily on my shoulders, a burden I couldn't shake off.

"Hey," Taehyung's voice cut through the fatigue as he entered the room, his eyes narrowing with concern as he surveyed my weary expression.

I managed a weak smile. "Hey."

He stepped closer, fingers gently brushing a loose strand of hair from my face. "You look tired."

"I am tired," I admitted, the honesty slipping out before I could stop it. "This schedule is relentless."

Taehyung's expression softened, his concern deepening. "You need a break."

"I know, but—"

"No buts," he interrupted, his tone firm but gentle. "I've been thinking. How about a weekend trip? Just the two of us."

The suggestion caught me by surprise, a flicker of excitement mingling with my fatigue. "A trip? Where?"

"Taejeongdae," he said, a hint of anticipation in his eyes. "It's a beautiful coastal area. We can relax, take a break from the chaos. What do you say?"

The idea of escaping the bustling city and the demanding schedule was tempting. A weekend by the coast with Taehyung sounded like the perfect remedy for my weary soul.

"I'd love that," I replied, a genuine smile spreading across my face. "When do we leave?"

"As soon as your schedule allows," he assured me. "I'll handle the logistics. You just focus on getting through these next few days."

A wave of gratitude washed over me. In the midst of the relentless industry, Taehyung's gesture felt like a lifeline—a chance to breathe, recharge, and reconnect.

As I nodded in agreement, a sense of anticipation replaced the weariness.
