you stood silently above itadori's lifeless body in the autopsy room, eyes puffy and irritated,
"poor girl, i can only imagine how she feels right now," shoko spoke,
"ehh, she's a tough cookie," gojo smiled, "she barely spoke to itadori though... i dunno why she's beating herself up for it,"
"it's traumatic for her satoru! she'll feel guilt for it obviously!" shoko sighed, "sometimes your emotionally hopeless,"
shoko walked up to you silently, rubbing your arm in an attempt to comfort you,
"hey.. i need to get started now, mind if i get you to go sit over there with satoru and ijichi? i know satoru can be a little annoying sometimes but i won't be too long," she chuckled. you smiled softly at her,
"uh, yeah of course, sorry,"
"no problems" she smiled.
you sat down in the area gojo and ijichi were in, just taking a seat across from them as they chatted about gojo's irresponsibility or something like that. you realised you had left your phone in the room,
"sorry shoko-sensei! i left my phone in the roo-"
"woah, i'm naked!"
itadori was alive. sitting up. talking. you blinked a coupke times and rubbed your eyes,
'holy shit, am i hallucinating..?"
"oh.. that's too bad," shoko said sadly,
"hey, y/n!" he cheered, "um, this is a little embarrassing,"
the only thing you could do in this situation was yell,
"UH, WHAT THE FUCK?!?"
"yuji, welcome back!" gojo greeted. this was all too much. you grabbed your phone and walked out,
"yo, i'm back!- w-wait, y/n, where are you goinggg?!?"
you stormed toward your dorm. you weren't angry. just shocked, and a little relieved. you cried a little bit. you didn't really know how to feel at all.. so of course the fix for that was to have a nap.

your short nap was interrupted by a knock on the door,
"come innn!" you screaming. it was muffled from your face buried in your pillow,
"y/n, i need to ask a favour from you!~" gojo sang, walking in with a familiar "dead" boy next to him,
"you seem to always need favours from me-" you paused for a second, looking itadori dead in the eye, he simply smiled and laughed,
"woah y/n, you look like shit,"
you started tearing up again,
"shut upp, you asshole!" you cried. itadori smiled, embracing you in a quick hug, still aware of the fact gojo was there,
"LOL, anyways, y/n, i need you to watch yuji until the sister school event!"
"um, what the fuck do i look like, a babysitter? and did you just say "lol" in real life???"
"i'm not a baby!" itadori protested,
"language! and no, you aren't a baby, yuji. i just need y/n to keep you in check, just in case sukuna takes control. we don't know what kind of binding vows he made with you, silly!" gojo beamed,
"ohh so i'm the bait now? i see how it is," you teased,
"god.. listen y/n, i'll give you 10,000 yen a day to watch him,"
"hmm, 20,000" you bargained,
"15,000" gojo retorted,
"20,000 or nothing," you deadpanned,
"UGH FINE," he cried, "why are you such a bully!!"
"shake on it!" you shook gojo's hand making aure he would keep his word,
"oh and by the way, yuji is in hiding so you have to make sure nobody sees him! not kugisaki, not megumi. no one can know he's alive,"
"what!? why can't you hide him yourself?! this makes my job so much harder! add 10,000 more yen,"
"ehh, watching him is too much responsibility!and nope i am not adding 10,000 yen! we already shook on it! bye! i'll be back soon to do some training with yuji!!"
"damn you, gojo!"
he walked out the door quicker than he runs from all his other responsibilities. you looked at itadori once more. and then you started crying again,
"wh-why do you keep crying?!?" itadori panicked, "are you okay?!?"
"no!! you just died right in my arms! and-and now you're alive again?! what the fuck?!?! i couldn't even help you itadori! i was too weak,"
"okay, just breathe. i'm alive now!! i'll explain everything to you, okay? and for your information, you are not weak, none of us are," itadori rubbed circles on your back as you tried to stop your crying.

soon after you stopped crying, itadori explained everything to you,
"so, i basically met sukuna in his domain, which was like, in my head?? i don't really know-"
"woah so you spoke to sukuna? did he look different, was he hot?" you interrupted,
"what... um nah, he just looked like me. anyways, we spoke about something but i can't remember what, then he sliced my head off and i woke up in the autopsy room,"
"huh.." was all you could say, still processing all of it,
"i'm sorry," he sighed,
"um, why are you apologising..."
"because i died! i said i had a plan but in reality i didn't," he frowned, "i just wanted the best chance of you guys making it out alive,"
"itadori, you don't have to apologise for dying, it's literally not your fault... well it kind of is, but still! megs and i should have stayed with you, we're all in it together i guess,"
"welll, it's none of your guys' fault either-"
"okay, let's stop playing the blame game! i'm gonna make some food, you can sit and watch tv or something i dunno,"
"ooh what are you making!?"
"uh, you good with cup noodles?"
"sounds good! i'm gonna watch asmr mukbang on your tv," itadori exclaimed
"um. okay then," you replied, getting started on your cup noodles. you sigh, realising just how much trouble you've gotten yourself into.
