I stared at the strange girl with a slightly worried look, while a rather sinister smile crept on her face.
Despite the smile, I could feel that she was pretty pissed off..
And like clockwork, she launched a fire whip attack at me, which I just barely managed to dodge.
'That attack is quick-'
I thought, before landing softly, only to be forced to dodge more whips of the same kind from her. It was strange - these fire whips she was attacking me with were definitely coming from her, however she wasn't holding a whip noir even moving an inch while the whips were practically forcing me to dance.
Was it perhaps the result of magic or something?
'I need to get an opening..'
My expression slightly changed to a more nervous one, as I quickly used 'Shadow Manipulation' to dive into a nearby cluster of shadows.
Moments later, I leaped out of the girls shadow, about to strike her with a 'Venom Shocker'.
?: "Such a predictable move.."
She said, before slowly turning to face me.
Oh shit!
Before I could get the time to react, a blue fire ball flew my way, hitting me and launching me against a tree, which I hit pretty hard.
However, despite the hit and then crash into a tree, I didn't feel like I had taken all that much damage.
'Guess my overkill stats are coming in handy right now..'
I thought before shedding a slight sweat, as the girl turned towards me and began to slowly approach me.
?: "As expected, you managed to live that attack... You're quite special, I'll give you that."
She said, before opening her eyes.
The gaze she had sent slight shivers down my scaley spine (Ignore the nonsensical wording.) - she had a cold stare and yet, deep inside that stare I could see pure blood lust and killing intent.
Whoever this was, was most definitely here to kill me.
?: "But will you live this!"
The girl announced before creating what looked to be 3 small tornados of blue flames.
I exhaled, before dashing towards her.
The three tornados began to approach me, however I managed to use my skill 'Shadow Manipulation' to dodge one of them, before blocking the other.
As soon as the third one came towards me, I quickly activated 'Devourer' - absorbing the tornado into my body.
Pure Magical Energy has been absorbed.
Excess Magical Energy will be turned into skills..
Success.
Epic Skill '' Overworld Detection '' acquired.
'That was pure magical energy..? And enough to create an epic skill no less..'
I looked at the girl with a serious gaze, as she simply gasped lightly at my move just now.
Whoever this was, had a lot of magical energy - most likely more than me.
If I underestimate her, I will wind up dead, no doubt.
The girl put back on her blood lust expression, before looking a cold dead stare at me.
?: "I see... So that skill of yours also works on things that aren't alive.."
She noted.
What the hell? She even knows about 'Devourer'? Just how long has she been following me?
Wait.. could it be that the feeling of being watched I got earlier, was her observing me?
But if so... How didn't I notice her?

I looked back towards the girl - I had this strong urge to ask her why she was attacking me, however I was unable to force any words out of my mouth.
'Would she even bother answering..?'
I thought, before quickly dodging another attack of that fire whip she used earlier.
She began to once again throw out a flurry of whip attacks towards me, each one getting faster and faster every time.
'I can dodge them.. but for how long..?'
I thought, leaping through shadows.
While my Magical Energy was extraordinary high, it wasn't infinite. Every time I used my skill 'Shadow Manipulation' it drained my Magical Energy by a small portion (4-8 points).
While it would take a long while for me to drain all my Magical Energy, I myself wasn't sure just how long I could keep going before getting bored.
This game of her attacking and me dodging went on for a small while.
Her attacks were relentless, so finding a way to grab an opening or an attack of my own was kinda difficult.
?: "If you're just going to dodge forever, you may as well surrender now."
She stated, stopping her whip attacks.
I landed a small distance away from her, staring at her with a serious, yet rather confused gaze.
?: "Seriously..? This is what killed my sister?"
She said with slight anger and a tiny bit of disgust in her voice.
'Man.. she does not sound happy at all... And what's this whole "I killed her sister" thing about?'
I thought before sighing.
"Why do you think I killed your sister?"
I asked.
The girl seemed surprised by my ability to speak, however exhaled a moment later.
?: "So you can speak... Clears throat. It's simple. I was told that a Serpent killed her using some sort of Shadow related skill."
She replied, before looking down, clenching her hands into fists.
?: "And then that serpent apparently devoured her soul.."
She looked at me furiously.
Wait... Don't tell me that she's talking about that Sixtails I killed?
Was that thing her sister?
It couldn't be - right? They look nothing a like!
I gulped before trying to make myself appear more 'friendly'.
"I did kill a Sixtails the other day, but-"
Before I could finish, the girl launched a powerful cross made of blue flames at me.
I just barely managed to dodge by diving into my own shadow.
'Bitch! She didn't even let me finish!'
I thought before leaping back out of the shadow.
?: "You just confirmed your crime, you Dirty Inferior Monster!"
'Dirty' and 'Inferior'..? Now that's just rude.
I sighed, before looking at her nervously again. It seemed like I was not going to be able to get through to her.. New plan I guess.
?: "I will avenge my dear sister.. even if I have burn down this whole forest!"
She shouted, before jumping back a bit, and launching two beams made of the same blue fire at me.
Shit! I am not going to be able to use 'Devourer' on that!
Quickly thinking, I used my skill 'Venom Control' to quickly fire two beams made of venom at the beams of fire.
The four beams connected to one another, creating one of those classic beam style stand offs - where two parties are trying to overpower eachother.
I had to admit - Her fire beams were very powerful, however it seemed as though she was beginning to struggle a bit, as my beams made out of venom were beginning to push back her fire.
'If I keep this up, I'll be able to push her down.'
I thought, before increasing the intensity of my venom.
The standoff continued to push off in my favor, as she began to struggle more and more to hold her ground against me.
Eventually it got to the point were she was almost hit by my venom beams.
'Game over.'
I smirked lightly, thinking that I had beaten her.
However to my surprise, she quickly broke the connection before leaping into the air and landing behind me.
Quickly stopping my attack, I turned around as fast as I could.
'What the-?!'
Before I could react, she kicked me high into the air.
?: "Spirit Flame Bind!"
She shouted.
Suddenly whips of the same blue flame formed, before grabbing my body and holding me in place, mid air.
'Shit! I can't move!'
I thought before trying to use my 'Venom Control' skill.

The girl smiled with a sinister grin, before looking up at me.
?: "You know... For a Dirty Monster, you're quite powerful.. perhaps instead of killing you.."
She sharpened her gaze.
?: "I'll take control of you as my personal pet.."
She finished, before letting out a small chuckle.
Is this woman okay in the head?!
She wants to do what with me now?!
How do I get out of this?! Can I even get out of this?!
I began to slowly panic, as the girl lifted her arms up into the air.
?: "Beast Dominate!"
She shouted, as purple strings came from her fingers and dashed towards me.
'Is this how it ends..?'
I thought before smiling awkwardly.
I expected a much cooler end to my journey in this world. Y'know, something other than becoming a slave of a crazy person.
Or will I become a loyal dog or something? I don't know.
I closed my eyes, as the purple strings approached me rapidly.
'I'm sorry Arabor... But looks like I won't be able to fulfill my promise..'
I thought.
Moments later, the strings connected to my body.
The girl grinned while trying to hold back a laugh.
Then...
'No!'
She stumbled a bit.
'You will not take control!'
?: 'What the hell..? What's this pressure..?'
The girl thought before looking up at me.
Suddenly, I felt a powerful force build up inside me.
"Huh..?"
I let out a small breath, before opening my eyes. Then, a moment later, a powerful purple aura was released from my body.
The aura completely destroyed and removed the purple strings and the blue flames binding me, causing me to fall to the ground.
'Woah... What just.. happened?'
I thought, examining my body carefully.
I was... Unmarked. And the strings - they didn't do anything to me.
I guess my plot armour kicked in.
(Oh shit- he knows.)
The girl breathed heavily, before looking at me with a suprised gaze.
?: "Im... Impossible.. 'Beast Dominate' failed..?"
She mumbled before slowly rising to her feet.
I glared at her, before smiling slightly.
Looks like the hands of fate were on my side this time.
