Mingyu's pov
I heard the alarm ring loudly. I groaned loudly and got up to off it. I checked the time and it was 7am. My mind went back to Jungkook, he must be having a hard time to adjust to the fact that he can't walk on his own for sometime. To be honest he is so much fun to be around I wish I could spend more time with him but he has to go back to his family right? They must be worried sick if not mourning him. I have to go check on him.
I got off my bed and wore my indoor slippers. I made my way to the room he is in. I knocked softly on the door hearing no response I opened the door slightly and found him still in bed. Poor boy must be tired. I entered the room completely and went to the edge of the bed and sat on it. I raised my hand and caressed his hair slightly.
"Jungkook" I called out. I felt him stirring slightly and fell back asleep again. I chuckled and called him again.
"Jungkook come on you have to wake up remember you have to call your parents" I said. Hearing this he jolted up suddenly.
"Woah, calm down" I said surprised at the sudden movement.
"Uh, sorry just got excited." He said scratching his nape.
"It's okay I understand. Would you like to take a bath." I asked
"I would love that, please?" He replied politely. I helped him to the bathroom with instructions to call for me once he is done. I went to my room to also freshen up.
After I freshened up, I took some clothes for Jungkook and sat on his bed waiting for him patiently waiting for him. I soon heard him calling me. I went and helped him out of the bathroom and gave him the clothes to change.
I went out the room and allowed him to change. He called for me then I helped him to sit on the wheelchair the hospital provided. I heard a quiet thank you from him which made me smile a little.
I pushed him to the dining table.
" Jungkook, I am going to make breakfast what will you eat?" I asked.
" Anything you make" He replied
"Come on tell me , I don't even know what to make for breakfast" I said punching his arm a little.
He chuckled a bit and said"What about strawberry pancakes and banana milkshake?"
"Perfect " I said making my way to the kitchen to prepare breakfast.
Time Skip
Jungkook's pov
I was sitting quietly when I heard Mingyu coming to the dining table. This guy is too nice.
"Breakfast is ready" He shouted coming towards the dining table.
"Here is yours and this is mine." He said placing my food in front of me and his in front of him.
"Thanks" I said
"No need to thank me and eat up so we could find a way to contact your family." He said already digging in.
"Yeah right" I replied before digging in.
After we finished eating, Mingyu took the dishes to wash. I would forever be grateful to him he saved my life and is taking care of me without complaining like how many would do that for a stranger. I was in my thoughts when he came back and sat opposite to me across the table.
"So how are we doing this." He asked me.
"I am calling the company my father works at." I said raising my head to look at him.
"Okay, which company is that?" He asked fishing out his phone.
"Jeon's Corporation" I replied. He paused a bit and looked at me.
He finally shouted" Jeon's Corporation, You mean the No.1 Company in South Korea."
"Yeah" I replied
"Wow, your father must be lucky to work there" I frowned at his statement and replied.
"Well, he worked very hard for it" I replied sternly
"Oh, I am so sorry I didn't mean it in that way." He said sincerely fidgeting with his fingers.
"It's okay, I guess I overreacted" I said trying to make him feel better. I know I didn't overreact I just can't stand people rubbishing other people's hard work as luck.
"Okay, let me just search and get the company's number for you"He said typing away in his phone.
After sometime he showed me the number on his phone.
"This is the number you can call it now."He said handing the phone . I quickly typed the number in the phone but before dialing I looked up at him and said.
"Could you please give me some privacy?"
"Sure,take your time." he said going to his room.
I breathed in deeply before deciding to call the number.
"Hello" I heard from the other side.
{I know Canada and South Korea are not in the same timezone but for the sake of this story we are going to assume they are in the same timezone.}
Meanwhile in South Korea within the same time range
Mr Jeon's pov
I woke up to see my wife still sleeping peacefully. I sighed loudly before getting of the bed to do my morning routine.
After I finished my morning routine I went out of the bathroom to see my wife waking up. She stretched and yawned before turning to look at my side.
"Oh you are already up. Just wait I will make your breakfast." She said rushing to get up. I moved towards her and held her tightly.
"Shh, it's okay. I will fix our breakfast okay!You go and do you morning routine" I said breaking the hug.
"Okay but from tomorrow I will be doing it I feel so bad for neglecting you when you needed me the most." She said casting her eyes down to her lap.
"Look at me love. It's okay. You are here now aren't you? So let's support each other okay?" I said caressing her cheek lightly.
"Yeah, I love you" She said kissing my cheek making her way to the bathroom. I smiled before making my way down to the kitchen to prepare our breakfast.
Time Skip
Still in Mr Jeon's pov
We are currently eating our breakfast in silence so I decided to break the silence. I cleared my throat to get my wife's attention.
"What is it?" She asked.
"Umm, I have to go to office today." I replied expecting her to scold me as always but she only came to my side of the table and cupped my face.
"Why? Is something wrong?" She asked.
"No it's just that I have to go check the company and-" I said hesitating a bit at the end.
"And?" She asked
"T-to plan for J-jungkook's funeral. You know he deserves at least a good funeral right." I chocked out tears threatening to fall from my eyes.
My wife gently wiped the tears and pecked my eyes gently.
"Don't cry, Honet. Kook won't like that okay and yes he deserves a good funeral. So make sure to organise a good funeral so that we can send him away gracefully." She said caressing my hair softly.
"I know" I whispered still in her hold.

At Jeon Corporation.
Mr Jeon's pov
I got down from the car and entered the company's building. On my way many employees bowed I responded back politely. I made my way to my office and sat down quietly. After sometime I called my personal assistant to update me on what has been happening in the company during my absence.
At the reception
Author's pov
"Hello" The receptionist said after picking the call that clearly came from another country.
"Hello, can I speak with your CEO" the voice on the other side asked softly
"Umm sir, I can't do that you have to follow pro-" The receptionist was cut mid sentence
"Please it is urgent" the voice on the other side pleaded softly. The receptionist being a big softie decided to let the call through.
One call won't hurt right?
"I will just connect you to him so you can speak to him directly." The receptionist said.
" Thanks" The voice on the other side said
The receptionist quickly linked the call to the phone in the CEO's cabin.
The CEO' cabin.
Mr Jeon's pov
I was sitting in my going through some documents my secretary brought me when I heard the phone in my office ringing. Who is calling me at this time? I shrugged and picked up the call.
"Hello" I said but it was silent on the other side.
"Hello" I tried again but still no response. It might be a prank call. I said moving the phone to place it on its stand when I heard something that made my heart stop beating for a second.
"Appa" I heard on the other side of the line. I was still in shock processing what I just heard and he said something that confirmed my doubts.
"Buddy" The person said again and I couldn't control my tears.
"Jungkook is that you?" I managed to bring out in between my sobs.
"Yes, I am the one dad we can even do a video call if you like." The voice on the other side said.
"Yeah, that's right. I will call you back" I said quickly ending the call and video calling the number.
When the person picked the call, I couldn't control anymore I completely broke down crying out loud not in pain but in happiness.
"Appa, aren't you happy to see me?" Jungkook asked me looking confused.
"No, it's not like that. My happiness knows no bounds."I replied wiping my tears with my palm.
"Then why are you crying?" Kook asked.
"These are happy tears, buddy" I said still wiping the tears that refused to stop flowing.
"You know, they announced in the news that the flight you took that day crashed and they were no survivors. We all thought you were dead. Thank God you are fine." I explained to him.
"Yes, our plane did crash but I was able to survive. A guy here helped me Appa, I miss you all so much. I really want to come home but I can't." He said few drops of tears falling from his eyes.
"Why buddy? Is it money that you need or what do you ne-" I asked curiously wanting to know what is stopping my son from coming home but he cut me off mid sentence.
"It is nothing like that, I-i am not in my best form right now. I will come home when I feel better. As for the money well, you still need to send me some" He said chuckling towards the end.
"Buddy! whatever it is just come home. We will support you okay?" I said desperately hoping he will agree.
"No, dad it is not you guys. It is me I don't feel comfortable." He replied looking down.
"Okay, but tell me if you need anything okay." I said to him
"Okay but dad have you heard from Tae or any of my friends?" He asked looking at me with curious eyes.
"Umm, about that I didn't even remember to check on th-" I said not completely finishing my sentence.
"What?" I heard him shout.
"Listen,dad. Pleeease, go to Tae's place and make sure to reassure him that I am fine even if it means calling me again." He said pulling on his hair in frustration.
I heard him mumbling something under his breath like. Fuck, I hope he didn't try anything stupid.
"Buddy, listen, I will go to his place and make sure he is fine even your other friends. I know how much he means to you. I might have to call so keep the phone close to you okay." I said reassuring as I saw him getting stressed over the fact that Tae thinks he is dead.
"Thanks dad, call me soon okay. I love you. Make sure to tell mom too. I am worried." He said.
"No problem, see you later" I said be fore ending the call.
After I ended the call I quickly took my car keys and rushed out. I got weird glances from the employees but do I care. No!
I rushed out of the company straight to my car. Thank God.
