Monica awoke with a start, the soft morning light filtering through the curtains of Sam's hotel room. Disoriented, she felt the warmth of Sam's body pressed against hers, tangled in the sheets. The events of the previous night flooded back – the exhilarating game, the celebrations, and now this intimate moment.

Sam stirred beside her, her eyes fluttering open. A sheepish smile played on her lips as he realized the close proximity. "Morning," she mumbled, brushing a strand of hair from Monica's face.

Monica couldn't help but blush, her mind racing to piece together the fragments of the night. "Morning," she replied, her voice a mix of warmth and comfort.

"Guess we should get up," Sam suggested, a hint of reluctance in her voice.

Monica nodded and hummed, a mix of emotions dancing in her eyes. Still the pair just lay there not moving, staring into each other's eyes. Monica and Sam lay there for a few moments, a comfortable silence enveloping them as they processed the nuances of the night before. The soft morning light painted a gentle backdrop, creating an atmosphere of intimacy in the hotel room. Sensing the unspoken tension between them, Sam took a deep breath, breaking the quietude.

"Monica," Sam began, her voice soft yet determined, "there's something I've been wanting to do."

Monica turned to her, her eyes meeting Sam's with a mix of curiosity and anticipation. "What is it?"

Sam hesitated for a moment before closing the gap between them. Gazing into Monica's eyes, she whispered, "May I?" The request hung in the air, the unspoken desire evident in the warmth of their proximity.

Monica's heart raced as she nodded, giving Sam permission. In that delicate moment, Sam leaned in, closing the distance between their lips. The world outside ceased to exist as they shared a tender, lingering kiss—a silent acknowledgment of the shift in their connection. As they broke away from the kiss, Monica and Sam exchanged a knowing smile, a silent agreement passing between them. The morning had taken an unexpected turn, but there was a mutual understanding that it was time to face the day.

With a shared chuckle, they decided to really get up and ready for the day. The atmosphere shifted to one of casual companionship as they went about the routine of preparing for the day ahead. The earlier tension had dissipated, replaced by a newfound ease between them.

They laughed and talked as they dressed, the intimacy of the morning lingering in the air. The awkwardness that initially accompanied their awakening had transformed into a shared understanding.

Monica and Sam, attempting to discreetly leave the hotel room, found themselves tip-toeing down the corridor, hoping to avoid Sam's teammates who were still unaware of the recent turn of events. The hallway seemed unusually long as they navigated through it with hushed laughter and shared glances.

Just as they reached the elevator, Sam realised she had forgotten her phone in the room. "Wait here, I'll be right back," she whispered to Monica before darting back into the room.

Monica waited nervously, her eyes scanning the corridor. In that moment, fate had other plans. As Sam disappeared into the room, Monica spotted her best friend, Ellie, rounding the corner. Panic set in as Ellie's eyes widened with surprise.

"Monica?" Ellie exclaimed, clearly startled. "What are you doing here? I thought Sam took you home."

Caught off guard, Monica stammered, "I, uh, just gotta run, catch you later!" she said, turning to make a speedy exit.

Ellie, ever the determined friend, started chasing after Monica. The two sprinted down the hallway, drawing the attention of a few hotel guests. Monica desperately searched for an escape route, and with a stroke of luck she reached a closing elevator but before it could fully close itself Ellie slipped in panting from chasing her friend.

"Hey Smellie." Monica offered an awkward tight lipped smile to her best friend.

"So what did you really do last night, cause you and I both know damn well you were not taken back to your house?" Ellie questioned a light smirk on her lips. Right on cue, Monica's phone chimed with a message from Sam. "Go on open it Moni." Monica rolled her eyes and opened the message.

Sammy ✭

Where did you go, did you get caught?

"Oh so you did go with Sam but back to her 'house'." Ellie looked at her friend with a wide toothy smile.

"Ok so that may be possible."

"Knew it."

"Shut up" Monica typed a quick response back, Ellie looking over her shoulder.

Moni 𝄞

May or may not have been chased around the hotel by Smellie, meet us in the lobby. Shes basically attached to me now, what a clingy bitch.

Ellie smacked Monica's shoulder in fake offence as the elevator doors opened to the lobby. Monica stuck her tongue out in response.

"There you two are. You guys are so childish!" The best friends turned around at the voice of Sam coming closer and closer.

"You're childish thinking you two can sneak around without being caught." Ellie fired back, sassing with the captain. Sam gave her the 'you for real?' look. "Ugh I told Ras I'd come up to hers before breakfast. I'm watching you two." Ellie gave them one last look before running to the nearest elevator.

The moment she disappeared Sam and Monica burst out into a fit of laughter, teeth on display, cheeks turning red.

"Did you wanna go out for breakfast or stay here?" Monica asked Sam when the laughing ceased.

"We can't really avoid much anymore with Ellie's big mouth so wee can go join the team." Sam offered.

"Yes!" Monica not-so-secretly cheered. "I uh mean that cool with me." Monica tried to play it off but couldn't hold in the laughter.

"Woah there, loving the team more than me now Moni?"

"Not the team, just Harper and Harley." Monica winked at Sam who let out a chuckle. Sam laced her fingers with Monica's before they began to walk to the dining hall the team had booked out.

As Monica and Sam entered the breakfast area, the team's reaction was quite different from what they anticipated. The initial surprise quickly transformed into enthusiastic cheers and smiles.

Monica, feeling the warmth of their welcome, decided to head straight to Mini, who was enjoying breakfast with her daughter Harper. Mini's face lit up as Monica approached, and Harper, recognizing her, broke into a wide grin.

"Monica!" Mini exclaimed, rising from her seat to give her a tight hug. "I can't believe you're here!

"Moni!" Harper cheered from beside her mother. Monica was quick to pick the toddler up, as she did this she felt a tug at her pants. Monica looked down to find the blonde locks of Harley Yallop. She set Harley on her other hip giving her two favourite girls a big hug before setting them down to go eat their own breakfasts.

Monica found a seat at a table with Sam, Caitlin, Macca, Alanna, Ras, and Ellie. The atmosphere was filled with a mix of laughter and animated conversation as they settled in for breakfast.

"Monica, you're a sight for sore eyes! How's it going?" Caitlin exclaimed, giving her a warm hug.

"Great to see you all! Last nights game was incredible, you all played so well." Monica replied, exchanging smiles with the teammates she hadn't seen in a while.

The group erupted into thanks, and the conversation flowed seamlessly as they shared stories and caught up on each other's lives. Macca, ever the joker, couldn't resist poking fun at the surprise entrance.

"Monica, you've officially raised the bar for unexpected entrances. What's next, arriving by parachute?" she teased, earning a round of chuckles from the group.

Alanna, with her easygoing demeanor, added, "Well, you certainly know how to make an entrance. We've missed you around here."

"You gonna be at our next game, watch us kick French ass?" Caitlin asked the blonde.

"Already got my tickets, be there front row." Ras gave Monica a pat on the back.

As the breakfast continued, Ras and Ellie, sitting across from Monica, joined in the banter. Ras shared some highlights from her recent travels, and Ellie, still recovering from their earlier chase in the hotel, playfully nudged Monica.

"You've still got some explaining to do." Ellie teased, a mischievous twinkle in her eyes.

Monica laughed, "It's a long story, Ellie. We'll catch up later, I promise."

The table became a lively hub of shared laughter, inside jokes, and the easy camaraderie that defined the team. As they enjoyed their breakfast together, Monica felt a deep sense of belonging, grateful for the unexpected reunion with her teammates and the familiar warmth that surrounded her.

After the hearty team breakfast, Sam and Monica decided to spend the rest of the day together. With a shared understanding and a hint of mischief in their eyes, they made their way back to Sam's hotel room.

The door closed behind them, and the atmosphere shifted to one of cozy intimacy. Sam set up a makeshift movie-watching space, fluffing the pillows and arranging blankets. The soft glow of the sunlight streamed through the curtains, casting a warm ambiance in the room.

"Movie marathon?" Sam suggested, a playful grin on her face.

Monica nodded, settling onto the bed beside Sam. The air was filled with the anticipation of a lazy day spent in each other's company. As the first movie started, they leaned against the pillows, shoulders touching, and the outside world faded away.

The room was soon filled with the familiar sounds of laughter, shared commentary on the movies, and the occasional rustle of popcorn. As the day progressed, the movies blended into each other, creating a seamless flow of relaxation and connection.

Cuddled up together, Monica and Sam found comfort in the simplicity of the moment. The world outside the hotel room seemed to disappear as they enjoyed the movies and each other's company. The morning turned into evening, and the dim light in the room created a cozy haven for shared secrets, laughter, and the unspoken acknowledgment of the newfound depth in their relationship.

Bit of a longer one than last time for today, hope you liked it. More of a filler chapter in between games but has some super important intimacy moments between Sam and Moni + stuff between Ellie and Moni. Have a great day/night.
